3261  Economy / Speculation / Re: South Korean exchange hacks causing Bitcoin price drops, but less consequential. on: June 20, 2018, 10:14:11 AM
It's like the norm for the current ecosystem nowadays. Exchanges will be hacked every now and then and then there will be quite an effect in the market for a little while and then it will just shrug it off. Bithumb is the largest South Korean exchanges IIRC and also one of the exchanges to hit $20k during the bull run, so it's a shame still that they got 'hacked' despite being known for their intelligence regarding cybersec and datasec (SoKor in general). Surprisingly though, not much fuzz was made about the hack this time, and it looks like a typical Wednesday for traders since there seems to be not much effect on the markets for now.

Yeah and even though btc dipped, it isn't that significant compared to other times when major exchanges get hacked. I'm just a little confused why such a big exchange like bithumb can't up their security. I mean you compromise people's money here if you lack off in it right
3262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a scam ? on: June 20, 2018, 10:07:45 AM
How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?

A little google search can save you from scam betting sites. If you come across a cryptocurrency betting website and you want to know about the reputation of that website, try finding its thread in bitcointalk forum. See if the thread is active and if the old members are rating it well. That is when you know the difference.
But you must be careful, because many people who provide false information, because it could be the owner of the website scam (fraud) or cooperate with the website of the fraudsters.

Why would someone be careful in spotting scam gambling site? I will agree here with avikz, everything we need to do is a little search about casino reputation, ans the best place for that search is here in their official thread where anyone can check their team, talk with them and to check what others wrote about that casino.
Why would we bother in spotting scam casino sites, why to do that when we can gamble in reputable casinos, there are so many of them?
Any way there is a member here game-protect, anyone can ask him about scam gambling sites, seems like he knows a lot about it.
Researching about something that you are going too interested in or you would be playing that again. But don’t you think we are doing it at place. We have to rethink about our decision even from root level. Either we are putting our money in a thing, would this thing be legit? Would it be profitable for us? These scam or not things can be solved later once you finalize your field.

People's personal experiences and frustrations over being scammed would be a good consideration. Joining forums and discussions gives you an insight on what people experienced in a certain site so it can be a lot easier to determine scams. Diligence should be practiced in researching since we're talking about money here
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 19, 2018, 02:32:51 PM
One of my friends lost a considerable amount at the casino playing Black Jack. The next week, he got an insurance going to his hands, and guess what: he also lost that.
True story unfortunately.

Whoah that's a little bit too careless for your friend it seems. It's unfortunate that no one talked him out of it. There are a lot of things more important than gambling and your friend found that out too late. I know a lot of people who actually made the same mistakes because of being too hooked at that's just the start of it.
3264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 19, 2018, 01:47:44 PM
What's up Los Angeles Lakers fan? You want LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in one single team of yours? Grin

Didn't you know how difficult it is to grouped that set of players?

Lakers can able to land at least 2 of them and it will required lots of talks. But for all of them, there are lots of considerations that needed to be take placed and the timeframe before season opener isn't enough to finalized the deal.
Let's bring back the fun again in the Lakers, after Kobe, Lakers is no longer a threat in the west.
I think with Kawhi playing with the lakers, it will make other star players interested because he know Leonard is a good leader and can bring
the team to the toughest competition which is the playoffs.

Honestly the only one who is closed to being a Lakers next season is Paul George. Remember that his really targeting to become a Lakers player especially that is his hometown. PG is expecting to play at OKC at one season only but now let's see if OKC will do something to retain this player.

Kawhi Leonard still on question but the rumor now goes that he wants to play at the East. Damn rumors always popped up.

Well it's sad that kawhi seems to really be on his way out since there's a lot of promise for the spurs' future with him and pop but any team that would acquire a player that caliber can seriously build around him and become contenders. Paul george and kawhi in the lakers would likely turn the tables around for this franchise even if they don't get lebron.
3265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Won't people sell it ? on: June 19, 2018, 01:35:59 PM
When there is panic in the market, which there is, you will always have people who sell their BTC and altcoins even if they have a significant loss.
All the holders will have profit in the end, but you need to have patience!
In order to have great success patience is our tool when market is not good. Some sold theirs due to panic sell so we cannot force them. Instead, believing it will rise and holding we can have profit at a latter end due to price will rise.

People who sold the coin are really felt very bad when the market starts recovering, people who are still believing the Bitcoin will always hold until the price of Bitcoin starts recovering. A higher percentage of the people will mostly panic about the Bitcoin price when it starts decreasing.

It's probably their first time having such losses and it's understandable that panic would easily seep in. As we can all agree, most that panic sold were weak hands that just jumped in to btc due to hype and then bailed out after seeing the market crash. They probably learned their lessons well if they wish to get to btc again
3266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still think it can hit 20k !! be optimistic on: June 19, 2018, 01:32:21 PM
Optimism should not border on idiocy. Better to be a realist. There are no prerequisites for bitcoin to return to the price of $ 20,000 this year. Every user should understand that there is no easy money. It is not possible to buy bitcoins at low prices and sell them at high prices all the time.

Yeah I share your views here. Too much has happened since bitcoin started going down from the 20k point, and people have witnessed their money and investments plunge to below 50%. A lot of them who jumped in to fomo last year will be extremely wary to invest again where they lost money
3267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Game over on: June 19, 2018, 01:27:56 PM
Well on my opinion it will go lower price , 'cause actually this current bottom price still have strong support, and indeed as long there are  more investors keep buying at dip bitcoin will stay above or in the bottom and always had a potential as well to increase again and again so it will not fall back to the worse price , unless if all people leave on crypto world and make an investment on fiat. Lol
Well I don't think that' the case here since if investors keep buying duri dips, we won't be in this situation right now and bitcoin would probbaly have a higher value. People are either hodling or for newbies, selling. Though good times are coming I believe. We can't have the entire year to the bears
3268  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high would Bitcoin go with McAfee as president? on: June 19, 2018, 01:22:20 PM
1 million overnight won't happen even if mcafee sits in the white house though there is a decent chance that btc will hover around that price range during a mcafee presidential term. He's all about crypto, shitcoins and all so not only btc but the entire market would likely have massive growth.
3269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has dropped so invest more on: June 19, 2018, 01:19:56 PM
people are panicking over the drop that has been experienced over the last few hours why don't you look at it as the best time to invest more

if you are panicking too much you need to evaluate your risk management skills or you will be feeding the sharks
its the crypto world you can expect anything

Yes you are right, panicking is not the best thing to do today because the market price is dumping and in order to earn more profit in the future then you must invest more coins before it too late and market start to pump up again.
No doubt it’s time for new investment but many people predict that the price will dip more in the near future and investors are waiting for that time. Better to invest today before the rise in the price again. If you are waiting for more dip in the price and at once it jumped then you will rub your hands but all in vain. Don’t think and wait too much and put your money today in bitcoin.

Well sensible investors would know too well not to be hasty in making investments. That's why they don't invest in bulk and buy in every point of a dip. Who knows until when this dip would be so you can say at this point, anytime would be a good time to buy in. That is if you're willing to wait for a btc rise
3270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Serious, I Started To Worry...... on: June 19, 2018, 12:22:49 PM
Previously we should know that the price of crypto is very volatile and when the price goes down it will surely recover and rise again, you have to be patient and I think, no need to panic and worry about the price down

What people are having problems with is the time of waiting. Some people are saying it's ok for them to wait but can only afford to wait for only a few weeks. That won't work in this market since as we can see, a down market can take months before recovering so you have to prepare for that
3271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where does bitcoin end up this year on: June 19, 2018, 12:18:43 PM
Bitcoin is starting to climb up again. Where do you think think does it end up by the end of the quarter or eventually by the end of 2018.

I believe on the positive speculations that bitcoins can surpass $50k dollar or might even reach it because the price of bitcoins last year has already reached $20k dollar so we can hope for a better future for cryptocurrency.
$50k still quite high to be reach this year, I really aim to hold till btc reach another ATH, snce btc still have many use and future purposes, its still not impossible for it to achieved new ATH.

50k lol. You mean to say btc can even surpass it's decrmber run last year when people now are not going to easily jump into a fomo spree. I'm not looking for another ath this year and i'd be happy if it does, but i'm setting meager expectations for 2018
3272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now and earn in the next few months! on: June 19, 2018, 11:19:18 AM
Reality is really such. Who buys now - wins in the future. But there is a risk of losing as well. It all depends on strategy, time and good luck without them. You should also be able to think, not swim along the current price.

It depends if you can hold on long enough to reap the profits. Imagine how long would those people who bought in above 10k would have to wait to even get their capital back. And a lot aren't prepared to wait that long and sold at a loss.
3273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: June 19, 2018, 11:08:50 AM
BitCoin is not a balloon. If it was a balloon, it could not have come up again. He was stuck repeatedly. but it rose again. there are very big bitcoin rich. I'm talking about a size big enough to give direction to the market. This hard landing and departure will always be because bitcoin is not fairly user-friendly. but that does not mean that bitcoin is a balloon.

Well look at it as a balloon that pops and then gets inflated time and time again. It's always been said thatthat bitcoin would pop soon and I think it already did. Several times in the past actually. But people who believe in it will make sure that that bubble gets revived all the time
3274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: June 18, 2018, 03:25:18 PM
If Canelo was using steroids and will be randomly tested for PED's leading up to the fight, he could have issues with his body producing lower quantities of testosterone. The way this might be verified is, Canelo will develop a visible "dad bod". Steroid abuse can also decrease a fighters cardio via damaging their cardiovascular system. Unfortunately, we see more severe effects of this in many old school WWF/WWE pro wrestlers and some older MMA fighters who suffer heart failure.

It really depends on whether Canelo used steroids, if he did use steroids how many years did he use them for and how much/what type of steroids he used. Would have to think GGG will be the favorite, unless Adelaide Byrd and some of the more corrupt Vegas judges are present. GGG's pace is hard to keep up with, even harder for someone who damaged their cardio abusing steroids.

We can only speculate as to how much Canelo is really abusing PEDs in his boxing career. Maybe he was really doing it and suddenly caught up after their first time and made the "tainted meat in Mexico" as an excuse. Just like the first fight though, I'm still leaning towards GGG here, eventhough some yes he has aged already but power wise and chin not yet cracked will be a good advantage. Canelo is a slow starting and comfortable being the counter puncher in the first fight. If he does continue with the same strategy, GGG will not give him a chance to steal those championships round. I all for GGG again.
Even if they will meet fives times, Canelo Alvarez have no chance of winning against GGG. Canelo Alvarez is a pampered fighter like Chavez jr in my own opinion. They select whom to fight and credit to their promoters.

Yeah I didn't even consider a second fight betweem these two especially with canelo's PED issue. With or without, I think golovkin is a class of his own compared to alvarez. I didn't expect how the first fight ended and that it was that contested but I don't think we'll gace the same result
3275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Growth may be just around the corner? on: June 18, 2018, 03:08:13 PM
For the last couple of weeks I have a strange feeling (if I can call it so) that we are already past the point of complete despair, and the new growth is just around the corner. It is not related to the recent Bitcoin price hike, just in case, though someone might have been feeling what I feel and decided to buy in massively. I've been watching Dogecoin closely, and it started growing some time ago (before the recent Bitcoin surge). To me, it is a telltale sign of the market sentiment change. It looks like the market is changing winds and shifting sands right now. I was strictly pessimistic since the beginning of the year but now I don't feel like that anymore.

Am I the only one who has such a feeling?
I am convinced already the price is not going to go up that much during the present year, this is definitely bad news if you are looking to get profits immediately but if you are a long term holder and have some cash in reserve this can be the opportunity you have been waiting to get bitcoin and take a long position in it and make money during the next years.

That all depends on the exact reasons why the price is falling right now. I haven't been following prices very close recently and the speculations about their causes, but as I suspect, it is the same Mt.Gox dude selling out his seemingly unlimited stash of bitcoins again. And I daresay it may take quite some time until he runs out of coins! It is fun to remember how so-called "professional" traders over here were pouring empty verbiage about future growth and shorts about to be liquidated that had been allegedly driving prices down so hard. I'm curious what they are doing now when the price is ready to break below 6k.

Well that mtgox selloff concern hasn't even gone full circle yet I think since they're allowed to sell it all this september as far as I know. But growth can very well be a little distant at this point. Hopefully the hodlers are prepared to hold on a bit more :p
3276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin be able to exceed its highest price in this year ? on: June 18, 2018, 03:05:12 PM

Everything can happen, nothing is impossible. For this one, I think it is very difficult to realize if bitcoin will rise above the highest price ever happened. It is too much if bitcoin prices can rise that high.
yes that's right, the word impossible becomes non-existent in the crypto world, as rising and falling prices become unpredictable. and no words are too high in my opinion, this is still possible.

Though it seems to be a long shot basing from the current happenings lol. But yeah, one thing we can all learn from crypto is that it can and it will surprise you. Things may be gloomy at the moment but everything can change very quick. Remember that 1k jump last month in just an hour? So unexpected things are bound to happen
3277  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think will happen in august ? on: June 18, 2018, 03:02:04 PM
Hello, what do you think will happen in august ? Now is it a good time time to buy, I have some altcoin like exrnchain, eos, litecoin I think this will boom in august, what do you think ?

Who knows dude. Probably all I can say is good luck with yoir coins :p A lot of people said that may will start an upward surge after april gave us good movements but look at us now, we're staring close to the all time low this year. I'm getting tired of making speculation about what's going to happen since none comes true
3278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin for $1 Million !!! In ten years? on: June 18, 2018, 01:56:44 PM
I am very happy to read this thread, because lately I often see a thread that drops bitcoin.
before bitcoin prices reach $ 100k or $ 1 million, let's collect as much bitcoin as possible.

Lol. Ten years. Probably another alt has taken over btc then as the leading crypto coin with the most people support. But I believe in bitcoin and i'd happily hold my btc's for half that time even if it doesn't go close to 1 million.
3279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will hit $250,000 in 2022? on: June 18, 2018, 01:54:37 PM
First of all this thread is open for discussions or insights are welcome as this topic is just a speculation or prediction by a man named Tim Draper.

So basically, Tim is a Billionaire venture capitalist and investor and has been one of cryptocurrency’s biggest bulls, technically he earned a lot of profit already from bitcoin. He said that bitcoin price will rise up to $250,000 each BTC! But we all know that the bitcoin price has sunk more than 67 percent from its all-time high. So, for you as an investor or a fan of bitcoin, would you believe in this statement?

We are talking about the future here, we all know that BTC started very cheap from the beginning, but look at it now. Can it really rise again on 2022?

Well being a billionnaire, it's easy to think tim knows about how to make money. Though btc i think is different. I mean, I think btc has the potential to have that kind of growth but the more people becoming aware of btc, the more they become wary in investing. 2022 is still a very long way to go and a lot of things can happen. Some old guy even went as far as saying btc will hit four times that in 2020. It's open for anyone's speculation
3280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has now gone 173 days without a new high. on: June 18, 2018, 01:51:52 PM
173 days is nothing if we compare with how long bitcoin survive. keep patience until the end of year, if we keep to buy bitcoin may be in a few months bitcoin will reach a new high. do not doubt about bitcoin because it will increase again soon.
To me i think that 273 is a big time for bitcoin, that is has not touched a new high, but i think that it will take a some more time, because currently bitcoin price is facing so many issues, which is not letting bitcoin price to increase, i am hopeful that it will now take some time when bitcoin price will set a new all time high price record.

Lol. Seriously, you're counting the days? Considering how high the ath is at around 20k, I think we're going to have to wait a lot longer if you're expecting to see another ath or even come close to that. I know there are many people who've been saying this year would see btc to around 35k but I'm keeping it real :p
