3261  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exit exchanges or true story on: February 07, 2019, 07:17:54 AM
We may not know if the 26,000 bitcoins are lost due to the Canadian exchange CEO passing away. But if they are doing an exit scam how can we calculate the Bitcoin scarcity. We really can't. One the CEO holds 26k Bitcoin n they r lost forever. Or the exit scam says the Bitcoins still exist. And is being exchange for cash. On another note Bitcoin is gonna have a slight crash due to the CEO story? Hodler will sell on the news because of fud

I'm wondering how a guy with Crohn's Disease came to the decision that going on vacation in India would be a good idea?

Like someone with severe asthma going on vacation in Kaifeng, China. Doesn't add up.

This is a good read about this Quadriga's CEO - https://www.coindesk.com/quadrigacx-explainer
If his death is really true, there's no reason not to pick-up their phone and confirm it.

"Angel House, an organization which builds orphanages in India and has been affiliated with Cotten in the past, did not pick up when called."

Also, if you are not a selfish owner of a multi-million dollar crypto exchange, you should have contingencies laid out to your team, if something goes wrong.
3262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All ICO driven altcoins will drop to zero in the longterm. Just by logic. on: February 06, 2019, 11:56:55 PM
I tend to disagree. Just because there was an ICO won't lead to these altcoins dropping to zero. If the altcoin is backed by demanding utility, it will definitely survive the test of time.

Definitely. Not all ICO-driven projects will be valued to zero. I have seen few promising projects that have real working product already. And they have solid partnerships. I think the OP is frustrated enough with all these ICO scammers but I still believe that there are good ones that will emerge from this market.
3263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest to have pasive income on: February 06, 2019, 11:49:31 PM
See https://masternodes.online/

It's a list of masternodes but not everything there are trusted. The big ones like Dash and Pivx are my choice but the amount of invested needed is quite high. You can also look to Zcoin.

Also, there are growing list of masternode coins and a lot in the top are just created for the hype. Better invest in a mn coin with relatively long existence in crypto and with solid foundation. Most of the new ones have very short lifespan. Or try to look around here. Passive income sometimes is really not true at all.
3264  Economy / Gambling / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]🚀 STARS VIP Club - The Biggest Casino Platform 📢🔥 on: February 06, 2019, 11:04:15 PM
Do you have any type of restriction in terms of which country is only allowed to use your platform? Or it doesn't matter where you're IP is coming from?
3265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AGORA Platform: Buy&sell goods for crypto Phase 1 Crowdsale on: February 06, 2019, 10:45:29 PM
After market analysis the team decided to start Blockchain early. It will be very hot. Cool You still have the opportunity to purchase AGORA Tokens at WAVES DEX. You will win about 25% of the price.

Very hard to sell assets in waves dex. I don't know if you will be successful with this project. But just a suggestion, maybe create your own token in eth or build your own altcoin. Many have tried in waves platform, but very few come out alive. And to be honest, I don't see this project as a strong one to compete in the market. Maybe, you can prove me wrong...
3266  Economy / Gambling / Re: "New" CRYPTOXBNB gambling and trading site on: February 06, 2019, 10:27:42 AM
I wonder if what they are claiming on their website has a slightest hint of truth.

If any of the website ask a minimum of any amount of btc before you can withdraw is an obvious way to scam people or take away someone's money or btc without legit work. If I were you, I wouldn't trust any website that ask you to deposit 0.1 btc to withdraw your winnings. Even a site that doesn't ask to deposit btc may a scam also.

Good for him that he didn't send any penny to the website. But I think, there will always be a gullible victim in this kind of scamming strategy.
3267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [BOUNTY] | VENOTY - Children Development Through Creativity. on: February 06, 2019, 10:08:19 AM
How can you beat all the free educational materials for children that are available in App Store or Google Play, youtube and many other free online resources? How can you entice parents that don't know how to deal with crypto use your platform for the development of their kids?

You stated from your website that 3DAX is registered in Indonesia. Does it mean that you are under the authority of the National/Central Bank of Indonesia, since you are running an exchange here?

3270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Real Estate Hospitality Investment Token | RHI Token on: February 06, 2019, 09:23:40 AM
Who came up with the idea of RHI?
Courtland Farm Manor LLC and its founders are behind RHI. Courtland Farm Manor LLC is the leading luxury hospitality industry in the state of Virginia. Known for amazing services they offer in rural areas, they are the first company to accept cryptocurrencies. Their token, RHI, is creating a buzz in the industry.

Can they also provide the actual stats on their website?

No amount is stated in the stat bar. If they have good backing, they might reach their hard cap fast. Also, the bar says it already reached the soft cap???
3271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitcoincasino.us is a SCAM. on: February 05, 2019, 11:46:04 PM
Do NOT play at bitcoincasino.us, as they are scammers/will NOT pay out winnings.

Just so everyone knows. Try another casino site out there besides this one.

3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ico should i get in for a long investment on: February 05, 2019, 11:11:37 PM
I will not recommend any ICO to invest with. But one thing I can say, you need to do your own research and feel the authenticity of the project. Like CaVO said, you should look for a working platform. Aside from that, check if they have active users already. The number of people using their system will give you a hint if the project will be a hit in the near future.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doesn't blockchain technology makes gambling easier? on: February 05, 2019, 11:00:53 PM
Speed's a pretty significant feature crypto-based gambling brings to the table as well. As long as you have a good transaction fee (refer to bitcoinfees.earn.com if you're not sure about an appropriate fee for BTC), your transactions will go through within the hour normally, and most casinos process deposits as soon as they hit one or three confirmations. Most crypto casinos also don't require any form of KYC, making crypto casinos very convenient to use if you don't want to go through the process of uploading a picture of yourself and your ID, etc.

Those mentioned are really the benefits of these sprouting crypto online casinos. Aside from that, if you are really a gambler at heart, you can now play those games at the comfort of your home. There's no need to get out and mingle with other people. If you want the solitude from time to time and focus on what you are playing, this will really give you what you want.

11. Most centralized exchanges are insured. It is possible to get money back if something goes wrong.

I am very surprised with this paragraph. It's totally messed up, where the heck do you get that? Tell me what exchange is insured, what amount of deposit is insured, what is the procedure of getting insurance payments? So many questions without answers.

Haven't heard such thing also. Maybe, he can provide reference links stating that centralized exchanges are insured. I doubt this statement is really true.
3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: February 05, 2019, 03:15:41 AM
Yes, we certainly hope this will be a good start. In 201-2020, of course, Crypto fans have high hopes that the market can rise again. And hopefully, real investors can return to the market to invest and make market volume increase again.

It is subject for speculations only. There's no definite answer whether we will have bull run this year and the coming years. But of course, everyone wants to have a bull run already. We've been in the bearish market for so long. But for the moment, find your options how to take advantage of this bearish market.
3276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: About New Altcoin's on: February 05, 2019, 03:11:35 AM
Few of them are legit and its basically normal for an altcoin now to vanish after fulfilling their soft/hard caps. Some probably will continue but many of them will just start to disappear. I have my personal experience for trusting a certain altcoin and as of now, I'm in a depth loss for this coin.

The legit ones are those who has established team and has been working for the development of that coin.

I've invested in one project also last year. I thought everything was legit, the team, the project. But turned out, they couldn't deliver their promises. And the coins are not worth it to sell in the exchanges as I will get only few bucks. Lesson learned. Even if the team is legit, there's no guarantee of the project's success. Better check out their final product before investing in a certain project. Maybe, they have the chance to attain success.
3277  Economy / Exchanges / Re: QuadrigaCX: $190 million locked after founder died in December 2018 on: February 04, 2019, 11:35:36 PM
If they have the laptop they can easily remove the password on Windows OS but the big problem is if it has the password or even private keys.

Honestly, 190m is a big amount why don't they hire some IT tech to remove the password so that they can check if there is a note for a list of private keys or password somewhere on the laptop. Or even getting the email that already saved from his laptop I'm sure he never clear his browser cookies and cache.

The only thing comes to my mind if it's true that he really died? If his body came back to Canada? Otherwise it is clear that they have only made this reason to run all the investments.

I'm pretty curious also if he really died in that country. The info is quite questionable though. He's very young and why the sudden death in another country? But, if it's really true, then I feel sorry for his family. But then again, I just hope that he's not doing this for his own benefit, if ever he's still alive.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Want to quit? Here's how on: February 04, 2019, 11:04:23 PM
Great points but when it comes to never try again it is the most difficult part for a gambler. It is because when you think you can control yourself , you also say to yourself I am not addicted anymore I can just play a bit for fun and that is the exact point when you restart playing with addiction. Many have tried, very few have succeeded. Your points are great as a beginning.

Very few people has the strength to fight their addiction. It's like quitting smoking. If you will end up your vice drastically, you will be crazy with yourself. Try lessening your habit first and find another hobby that you are passionate about. Divert your attention to another worthwhile hobby. It takes strong determination to quit on something. You should set a greater goal for yourself why you are doing this in the first place. So if you are about to reroute again, just think of these goals you already commit to yourself.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I lost 30,000 on superbowl. on: February 04, 2019, 10:56:17 PM
This sucks, $30,000 lost because I bet on the rams. UGH

I know its not much but still sucks the rams offense is so shit, only scored 3 points, un fucking believable.
That’s a lot of money on single bet, well maybe you really afford to lose that kind of money but still a lose is a lose. Next time bet on the winning team and make a study before placing any bet especially if you are betting huge money. Learn from this experience, and stay rich.

Yeah, he's rich. He said $30k is not that much.  Grin Anyway, if he can lost that much in one single bet, it means he had won already in his past bets, maybe more than that. That's part of the gambling world. You are ready to lose what you wagered.
3280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: February 04, 2019, 10:51:14 PM
ICO period is about to come to an end. Even some projects that are currently in place are already trying STO. If the STO is successful, the trust issue of the ICOs will be resolved. And serious projects will prefer STO.

I have the same impression also that creation of ICO projects will not gain so much attention by the year 2020. Many people were already burned by investing in these ICOs that either turned crap or scam. Though there are still authentic ones, but very hard to find. STO is a more credible approach than ICO. At least they have good backing as compared to ICO projects. Most of the ICO projects have empty promises to the investors to begin with. The reason why they failed.
