Gold is somewhat stupid in the digital age, I am sorry to say.

Gold is obviously useful in circuits so it will always be quite relevant but in finance terms of course you mean.   The general point I'd make of that is variety is a good thing, too dependent on one thing will lead to vulnerability so the world should and very likely will continue using both BTC and gold and also alot of other things to exchange value like paper debt.   We'll be worse off for trying to restrict any but we do hope the most efficient course is the one we take and gold does appear a bad exchange system to alot of people but it'll always be there I think, I believe its justified.
I dont especially want to contrast gold with BTC because they are just so different, thats also why I think they both continue without opposing each other and I think its best to have at least some of both whatever personal views dont exclude yourself from that option completely because that probably means a greater liability to Dollar or other regimes bad implementation of value.
Right now if most of the world comes to agree with that view that BTC is a valid asset to hold even in percentages below 1% net worth, we know that means growth will continue for BTC and it is still very new to most.

BTC has a pullback but overall has outrun previous negative trends.   The ideal is to stay above 43k (to maintain the best momentum) but as low as 38.5k could be the pivot for losing positivity or continuing positively to develop upwards month to month.  BTC must refine this whole prior range before it can especially make dramatic gains, its a positive to develop volume in these areas.

Here is the recent range in March, we are losing the 2 day average which is a fast measure for momentum.   We now test the lower ends of the range most likely and dollar is relatively strong so it is good test of resolve for bullish recent action.  Weekly, monthly and also 50 day average are all quite close to 40k area so we might test that common area of significance but for now I think we continue quite bullish with increasing higher lows.
3283  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 02, 2022, 11:59:13 PM
I dont know about news or feelings but the plain chart says recovery is quite possible as we have outlasted the downtrend.  Its a classis staircase jagged price upwards, not easy but quite probable further gains develop.  The pivotal price for me is to hold 43k on multiple weekly bars.  If we do that much it will do well medium term imo
Just over the top of here is yearly averages, a big measure but moving averages are a take on momentum and its not resistance in of itself.  We can beat that if buys should sustain, not a time to be negative.
3284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin likely won't recover until 2025 on: March 01, 2022, 11:40:39 PM

Good breakout and build from negative trend.   Positive so long as the chart keeps acting like this, this is an important build as we must hold the 43k area to confirm a break of range.   Erratic daily moves dont count as much as the more progressive gains and leaving the prior range will be a positive move.
'Recover' is a false narrative to me, we in broader terms are consolidating which is important work; 100k wont appear without the structure and volume of prices put in below as we are doing now.
3285  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: February 28, 2022, 10:45:49 PM
Heck of a move today, I think we top out around 47k area as this is near 200 day and old trends.          If any had doubts we are positive, surely not now:

We have passed the 50 day average but its important we close outside of the previous range to capture these current gains.   That would mean a closing weekly bar above 43k should be shown for this month and going into the end of March, if we do that we should be very positive.
3286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 28, 2022, 10:41:00 PM
Its the best speculative asset, depends what you want from your investments.   Most people are hands off and dont look an entire year so it would not be ideal for anyone particularly busy but young people especially reference BTC as an investment relevant to them being very rapid to adjust is probably a requirement to really make the best gains though its the long term gain that matters most.

Icelandic CS games Smiley   Their must be promotion or sponsorship going on for that league a bit like Malta maybe, such a small country nice to see & I know some players from there

My usual slant towards 3 map bets as being a good bet didnt work out lately, funny it seems they were determined not to let even 1 map slip in whichever victory.
My long shot multibet was the one which came through covering those other losses and some (4x odds as G2 were underdogs).   I took G2 over Navi but did not expect them to demolish them in just 2 maps.
Faze triumphed again in 2 maps though it went well over 50 rounds on the 2nd map very close, poor G2 they werent bad just Faze were better; very well composed which is not classic Faze usually.

Default is the cash equal, its less hassle for everyone and also gets the daily interest right away.   I presume most opt for this just for the sake of liquidity and funds future bets but its good to have the option to say nope give me the car (maybe the BTC price drops alot that week possibly).    I think the rules might originally have been delivery anywhere world wide was included, I was thinking of the scenario where somebody in remote amazon village says deliver please but now its at winners cost pretty sure.
The really big gamblers, maybe they win twice that week and with the global car (chip/parts) shortage I can see someone calling out the wheels but hasnt happened just yet that I heard of.
3290  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 26, 2022, 11:57:47 PM
I would relate March and Feb 2017 as reference as I can remember finally waking up to an underlying bullish trend in early 2017 and March did see a harsh reset yes but it didnt wipe out what we could see in Feb.   It was still not clear at this time except through careful examination of the lowest prices not the highest prices each week.   We had rising lows, so to now I would try to remember to keep my emphasis on considering the lows and gloom as the most accurate clue to where we can go from here.
3291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: February 26, 2022, 11:51:39 PM

Bitcoin should mimic the direction of gold prices when it comes to wartime.

I did think the BTC selloff in some way resembled the Flu sell off where measures were taken to weaken currency and distance became a larger factor thereby helping BTC.   I would still strongly argue gold and crypto are two different asset classes, they are not really in competition and I dont believe they follow each other except by being inverse to Dollar generally.   We dont compare BTC to silver or copper, despite the electronics relevance so this metal is not direct either; we can be sure Dollar declines and many things will replace it.

Meta is already here with us, it doesnt have to actually be 3D or virtual world just digital economy items that only exist within the sphere of that game or universe construct that is a real thing now.   I was making sports bets using meta items back in 2014 onwards so its certainly a very in demand thing for similar reasons to why crypto is so in demand globally, we have very weak currencies and its not hard even for a virtual worth Meta item to have the value that can involve gambling on game outcomes of sports or casino etc.
It will be a thing, Ive done very similar type activities and it was so popular the game maker feared the gambling business was taking over their game, lots of demand for sure.
3293  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: February 26, 2022, 11:21:01 PM
China will trade with Russia no matter what, China lacks oil and Russia has an excess of it so they are suited as trading partners from the start.  Even with this currently talked about Swift ban, China can swap gold for oil (China is the worlds largest producer of gold now and accumulated reserves for over a decade, Russia also wants to retain its gold as an alternative to USD) though it might be more awkward in a physical way to do this then the electronic means normally done.

Any earning outside proof of work in bitcoin is Ponzi
Capital can be employed with companies without it being a fraud.  A company will naturally require some liquidity to its cashflow in order to operate, facilitating that is valid investment and should give returns depending on the profitability of the company.   None of that is new, the only difference is that the medium of currency is decentralized crypto with BTC but its still the same idea.
You must trust the company as valid if lending, thats true but some companies are valid and profitable while also requiring capital to operate.  Some would argue everything should be decentralized, that requires specialization to take place not easy.

Always link into further sources if at all possible, everything should be verified especially in a war with two sides trying to propagate information from their point of view.

Physical form of money is not safe during the wars

Previously physical money was related to a metal value somewhere, even basic copper was in the makeup of a coin but now this is hardly ever true.  Now if you hold currency you cannot be sure if a billion or a trillion more will be issued overnight digitally, relative to BTC where that will not happen we should see that at least some crypto held by everyone in the population is reasonable.
How many people hold BTC in the overall population, its still a small percentage but rising.  For this reason long term the outlook remains reasonable to hold some but not all money in BTC.
3296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weakens at US$ 42,145.35 The Impact of Russia's Conflict with Ukraine on: February 26, 2022, 08:23:35 PM
BTC is relatively stable right now just going sideways.  The only pressure evident towards negative action would be the 2 day average which is just underlying prices now, if we continue without gains then we lose that measure.   I think next week is more of a determiner then right now but eventually price action needs to see a gain to maintain momentum otherwise speculators sell expecting lower prices.
The peak price today was just touching the 50 day average overhead, so its a bit of a fight here.   Breaking above this level we've kept for last few days is quite possible and should then show more obvious gains and positive action.

Considering previous talk on swift and its current relevance it doesnt seem OTT to have iodine tablets because they are cheap and keep for a long time but obviously if an entire population requires them all at once I presume shortages like anything.
3298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: February 26, 2022, 07:24:34 PM
Thats quite a commendation as most movies are popcorn fodder even if entertaining they are forgotten because thats the best way to watch them in the moment in an action way, luckily my memory isnt great and I rewatch lots of movies in that way.   I do know what you mean what makes me think its in with a good chance and the subject matter being so controversial and heart breaking has to be ideal Oscar material.   Its ticking all the boxes Smiley
3299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin likely won't recover until 2025 on: February 26, 2022, 10:46:46 AM
Seems an extreme way to put it that ATH would be a recovery and anything less is something negative.    This whole price range is well above previous trading for BTC over many years so it remains positive but just not at its highs.   Right now price is trending positively though nominally sideways its doing well so long its above the weekly average which it is.   Todays postive marker would be something 38.5k, seems like we would close the week out here despite being in the midst of a disruptive war in Europe.
3300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: February 25, 2022, 11:59:11 PM
We have put in a higher low for BTC this week, if this should hold to the closing of the weekly candle then we should be more bullish from it.   Despite the conflict BTC continues to be used and of use to all participants outside of political and nationalistic control.
I see that we can be quite bullish so to answer OP 30k could be a decent marker for the bottom.  There is still the wider question of if 20k occurs imo, extremes tend to magnetic in some way if only by their fear and volume as turning points.

Whats important now to mark the lows off in the rear view mirror would be that we we discontinue the recent decline from 45k.    The wider range I've tried to crop this graph to is 43k to 33k, the ideal to say this is over and the low is now established and past is by breaking that range.  Our recent attempt failed and you can see the weekly bars were pins that resolved downwards.   The pin or candle for this week is the opposite direction, it should be noted positively imo.
