Bitcoin is anonymous.no agent can track your income
False. Bitcoin is not anonymous. Using Bitcoin does not guarantee anonimity. It's up to the user to build The Anonimity Layers on top of this fantastic technology. To quote Satoshi once again: The possibility to be anonymous or pseudonymous relies on you not revealing any identifying information about yourself in connection with the bitcoin addresses you use. If you post your bitcoin address on the web, then you're associating that address and any transactions with it with the name you posted under. If you posted under a handle that you haven't associated with your real identity, then you're still pseudonymous.

First of all I admit that I do not have knowledge in regards to bitcoin network. I just want to point out some concerns regarding security.
On my knowledge, bitcoin makes our transaction secured and anonymous. We are aware that before we can make transactions we need a wallet and there are lots of sites that you can get one. Some of these sites requires registration which is totally fine for me. My concern is that, some of these sites requires me to "verify" my identity by uploading government ID's, address, pictures and any other document to personally identify me.
Do you think this requirements ruin the purpose of having "anonymous" transaction over bitcoin network?
FIY read below > Can nodes on the network tell from which and or to which bitcoin > address coins are being sent? Do blocks contain a history of where > bitcoins have been transfered to and from?
Bitcoins are sent to and from bitcoin addresses, which are essentially random numbers with no identifying information.
When you send to an IP address, the transaction is still written to a bitcoin address. The IP address is only used to connect to the recipient's computer to request a fresh bitcoin address, give the transaction directly to the recipient and get a confirmation.
Blocks contain a history of the bitcoin addresses that a coin has been transferred to. If the identities of the people using the bitcoin addresses are not known and each address is used only once, then this information only reveals that some unknown person transferred some amount to someone else.
The possibility to be anonymous or pseudonymous relies on you not revealing any identifying information about yourself in connection with the bitcoin addresses you use. If you post your bitcoin address on the web, then you're associating that address and any transactions with it with the name you posted under. If you posted under a handle that you haven't associated with your real identity, then you're still pseudonymous.
For greater privacy, it's best to use bitcoin addresses only once. You can change addresses as often as you want using Options->Change Your Address. Transfers by IP address automatically use a new bitcoin address each time.

One newbie, one single post, a clear question that shows why you should not even use bitcoin in the first place. Bitcoin is not plug and play: you have to learn a bit of how it works before to start using it. You want the easier way but you don't know there's none.

A single guy is doing something is usually done by a group of people. It is said correctly that BitBay is still here after whatever happened. Please don't be fooled and wait for news. This is going to be the nicest crypto surprise.

I didn't expect $800 to be so hard to reach after the recent pump. Whenever we saw it close there was a retreat: it will come, we all know. Maybe Christmas could be a nice trigger for a new spike up. It's getting closer.
Remember one thing: there will never be enough single BTC for everybody. Buy yours before is late

The blockchain is just a simple sequential file with some fancy linking between records. Please don't push the myth that "The Blockchain" is Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a sophisticated library of software routines, and a peer group that agrees to replicate and maintain copies of that file. The blockchain is just a small part of the system, and the concept can exist in many other forms on different systems. The idea of a distributed ledger has nothing to do with the blockchain design. A manuscript can exist as a single typed document, or copies can be stored in many millions of locations around the world. Either way, it is still just a manuscript.
eloquently put I would say excellently put and I do think this is a very effective way to distinguish between the blockchain hype and Bitcoin. I mean the block chain is a good thing but as Jet Cash points out is a very small part of the whole Bitcoin system.

I Made A Simple Presentation Video About Blockchain Technology! "Blockchain as an opportunity!" https://youtu.be/ifiyNG0qF6YTips Appreciated! 19gBudHoW1rBFsKhaM8BxhRpwFwfTvpsTo Most of the things in your video are not coherent with what a block chain is. Too much hype in your video, sorry. POW is the key in the blockchain/bitcoin world. No POW no real value. Databases work fine in those fields. snip I did not say that the "blockchain" is glamorous. Actually I feel there is really no blockchain. To me that's a hash pointer linked list of blocks. That's it I don't believe in the "blockchain" hype

Mats problem is that he is stuck on the idea that the only right way to make money is to daytrade. Realizing that he sucks at it, he doubles down and loses even harder.
Meanwhile I just made a hundred bucks in two minutes by buying on localbitcoins and immediately reselling on kraken. There are plenty of ways to make things work for the open minded.
In-person or purely online? I always deal in cash in person, on principle. I want as little middleman involvement as possible (banks, other third parties) and I don't like "paper trails". Personal privacy is one of my big issues. And how, if I may ask, you deal with BTC pseudonimity? Are you so paranoid to keep everything separated, un-linked (with mixers etc.)? I would love to have a more fungible bitcoin in this case.

The problem I see with the alt-coins is that they are always trying to solve a problem that does not exist. Problems like "there aren't enough coins" or "mining fees are too low" or whatever. They are all pale copies of the real breakthrough that bitcoin represents. The only alt that has maintained some level of respect is litecoin. I can't think of another success from the hundreds of alts now in the wild.
I would say let them play. After seven years of Bitcoin I came to this simply realization: let them play. Something interesting will comme eventually but the master will always prevail.

I have an increasing number of friend who appreciate what Bitcoin is and they actively started using them. I've taught them how to safely store the key how to transact and what they can do with it. Some of them are so enthusiastic about it that we transacted face to face

Refund requested: waiting for the transaction to be confiremed. For what is worth I think I will take part into your ICO again since you showed something very few have in the field. Thank you

The ECB has refused the Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena bank extra time to raise money to avoid bankruptcy. That means the bank will have to be bailed-in with some of its own depositors money before the Italian government can give it any bailout money. The EU rules won't let a state bail out a bank before its had a bail-in. A bank bail-in will be bullish for Bitcoin, and it's on the cards. http://www.forbes.com/sites/francescoppola/2016/12/09/monte-dei-paschi-the-agony-of-italys-oldest-bank/#41693e027436Trading in the shares of Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena (MPS) was suspended today when the share price tumbled on news that the ECB had refused to give the bank an additional five weeks to raise 5bn euros in new capital. Government bailout is almost certain now. Many Italian banks are so connected to the Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena (MPS): if this one falls other may follow. Consider that after the Referendum Italy is waiting for a new government. If I was Italian I'd be very worried right now

This league is becoming pretty interesting to watch and follow. I've won a few bets in Ligue 1 and I wish to keep to doing this. Below my picks for this coming Saturday Bordeaux - Monaco over 2,5 goals Bastia - Metz Bastia Nancy - Angers under 2,5 goals Nantes - Caen under 2,5 goals
Profit... Even if Nantes-Caen got canceled I got the other three results. Another good winning parlay on my Ligue 1 prediction sheet. I hope some of you fellow bitcoiners took some good picks from me.

The unstoppable premier league is always playing! I see a very interisting match between Leicester and Manchester City: last years' good old days seem over for Leicester, will they be able to do a sidekick today? Let's see Arsenal - Stoke Arsenal Hull City - Crystal Palace Palace Swansea - Sunderland Swansea Leicester - Manchester City over 2,5 goals
So disappointing to lose this way, come on! Palace made me lose again! This was such a good parlay with very good odds. Losing by one game only is so annoying

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years And get pats on the back as you pass But your final reward will be heartache and tears If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.
Such a great poem, wonderful words bound together for an excellent result. Those words are so true. Thanks David I really appreciated this very interesting off topic. You're really open minded

If no big investors come onboard late this Initial Coin Offering is not going to hit the aforementioned target. I more than 500BTC is a good result but maybe 1000BTC was way too much.

Important question. If I put more BTC in now, when can I expect to have them returned if the ICO does not go ahead?
1. If I send from my own wallet? 2. If I send from an exchange?
Refunds will be processed manually through the support. So there is no difference from whence you will send your Bitcoins. It's good to know this since I funded the ICO by withdrawing money from an exchange. Thanks for your reply

This time I will keep my feet on the ground: I don't think Bitcoin is more important than the Internet but I do believe that the two walk together on the same line. Without the Internet there could be no Bitcoin and so they will always be intertwined.
