3281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think will be the most important industry in the near future? on: December 05, 2021, 08:21:21 PM
In the coming years, i don't think it will just be one industry having more importance than the others, but a group of industries having collective group importance, and these industries are the ones that are offsprings of the Basic needs of man, which revolves around Food, Shelter, Clothing, water, air, and proper healthcare.
3282  Other / Beginners & Help / Recurring issues of plagiarism. on: December 05, 2021, 04:17:34 PM
Countless times, issues of plagiarism have been addressed, many forum users have gone under the hammer and punished, used as example for others to reiterate that plagiarism is not permitted. Unfortunately still, whenever i visit the meta board, i still see reports of intentional plagiarism by some forum users and i am wondering, why do people still intentionally plagiarize?

Is there possibility that newbies have never come across forum rules in the "Beginners and help" board where plagiarism is clearly stated to be prohibited? or are these other few reasons identified by me valid reasons for plagiarising.

-Pretence
That is trying to act as though you possess a sort of knowledge that you do not have, a major cause of plagiarism amongst newbies.

- Lack of creativity in writing
Newbies finding it difficult to express themselves through writing and sometimes feeling like their creative write ups or post will not be enough to provoke a reasonable conversation amongst other forum users.

- Laziness
The ease associated with copy and pasting, another lure to plagiarism.

Maybe it's still too early to tell, maybe they are still playing under the influence of Carricks motivation and tactics, maybe it's the home advantage, but from my observation, MUFC are already looking good under this new coach, almost like he has been there for a while, great first half performance against crystal palace, but I am certain that the team supporters need goals to show for it. Expecting goals in the second 45.
3284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 05, 2021, 02:06:49 PM
Would be great to see the first 45mins of MU football under Rangnick. I saw his prematch interview and he has hinted that he was happy with what he saw in their last game against arsenal, and has not made any changes to the first eleven for that purpose. I like that he is carrying on from Carrick and not making any abrupt change yet. I really expect MUFC to win this, CR7 to score sure.
3285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IS DEMOCRACY THE BEST OPTION FOR GOVERNANCE? on: December 05, 2021, 01:33:23 PM
IMHO, the concept of democracy is pleasing, but in practice, what is being practiced by some countries presently under the disguise of democracy is not democracy, but a few individuals circling power around themselves. To me, a good model for governance will be the old traditional system of governance that was practiced in eastern Nigeria were a few selected individuals called "chiefs" had equal power to collectively decided on a decision regarding the people. That way, in its purest form if practiced, no individual feels more entitled to power and decisions that reflect selfish interests were less made.
3286  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk on mobile phones: A sight for sore eyes on: December 05, 2021, 04:32:17 AM
I don't know about others, but the mobile phone version of bitcointalk which i use most times, makes it easy for me to carry the forum with me wherever i am going. Although it doesn't have a flashy and very attractive interface like OP insinuates, I, just like others who have been here a bit have grown to become conversant with it that zooming in and out is no longer a problem to us. With time OP, i believe you will become used to it as well.

Who else feels like if Chelsea loose in their next game, that it is going to be difficult catching up with Manchester city and Liverpool who are very good contenders as well for the title. It is very difficult to say conclusively who will end this season as winner because the coaches of the top three teams right now Pep, klopp and tuchel are very good. fingers are still crossed to see what Rangrick will bring to the table for MUFC.
3288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: December 04, 2021, 04:15:28 PM
Barcelona now is not the Barcelona we used to know, they are really lacking in attack because as much as i respect Depay, he is terrible in front and needs to be substituted off the game. Coutinho's style of play is almost the same for every game, defenders know this, and know exactly how to stop him, he should really stop being predictable. The Barcelona team definitely need changes and motivation because as they are currently, i don't see them finishing in top four this season.
3289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 04, 2021, 03:34:33 PM
Great game for Westham, a well deserved win with a brilliant performance. Liverpool and Manchester city now have a chance to go top of the table and send Chelsea to third place a sad news for Chelsea supporters and Tuchel. If Liverpool fail to take advantage and let Pep's Man city get to first place, it is going to be a struggle to topple them.
3290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 04, 2021, 01:53:23 PM
This Chelsea - Westham game is not short of excitement, I'm very impressed with the performance of the hammers, taming and not being intimidated by gladiator Chelsea even away from home. The game is level now , both teams having two goals each, and i don't think it will end this way, both teams are looking likely to score. In between, Bowen for Westham is a really talented player.
3291  Economy / Economics / Re: Can civilization revert to a barter system on: December 04, 2021, 09:23:34 AM
Can civilization revert back to barter system? very brilliant question, but no one can really predict the extent to which civilization will turn out finally, we can only speculate. Who knows whether maybe we will see a reformed, civilised and modern version of the traditional barter system, there's no telling that already a structure to actualising this may already be in formulation in the mind of a big thinker, only time can tell really.
3292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you like to trading with meme coins?? on: December 04, 2021, 09:09:53 AM
... Some may like to trade with meme coins to earn quick money.
An approach to trading like this often ends disastrously for a trader. A fact is that the lure of "Quick money" will be the downfall of any trader if he or she is not careful. As a trader, seek to develop a steady and growing income from your trading activities rather than jumping into quick money, that way, it will only get better for you.
3293  Economy / Economics / Transforming skill to profit. on: December 04, 2021, 08:04:42 AM
The purpose of the discussion is for forum users who possess one form of skill or another and are making profit from it to share personal episodes of how they turned "Skill to Profit".

Most persons learning a new skill are often faced with the big question/challenge of turning their skill to profit. After acquiring a skill, truth is if there is no platform for you to practice and offer your services and also make profit, you may become less interested and efficient with the skill you learnt and it may soon be forgotten by you.

Please share personal episodes of how you, a skilled forum member has turned your skill to profit, so other forum members who are in between can benefit from your story.

3294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share your story: what would you do when vaccines get mandatory? on: December 03, 2021, 09:32:10 PM
The way there are so many theories and discussions as to what to do about the covid vaccine makes me wonder if that was how there were so many conspiracy theories surrounding other vaccines at the time they were first discovered and cleared for usage. If the vaccines get mandatory, most people including myself will take it and that's the truth, if it gets to that, refusal to take it  will be considered definitely as an act to put the general public at risk and because how easily the virus spreads, that is something the governments will want to guide against.
3295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid lessons learned on: December 03, 2021, 04:13:55 PM
Are you sure we are done learning, because so far the threat of covid is still real with the virus mutating into different variants. Vaccines  that were issued are now been questioned, the lessons that have been learnt still seem like there is a page two to them because of the variants Delta and Omicron. To me it still is that there are more lessons to learn from covid.
3296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes you come back to an old casino? on: December 03, 2021, 03:25:41 PM
... they are trusted enough.
Another strong reason which is unconsciously considered by most users is the nature of the user/customer experience  provided by the casino whether offline or online. If a users experience with a casino is pleasurable, they are bound to return to that casino to use more of their services , this is a normal human character.
3297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: December 03, 2021, 08:57:02 AM
Trading crypto is more like a gambling on a soccer game where there is obviously no sure odd and even the less probable thing can happen like a smaller team beating a bigger team. So anything is likely to happen to your money. As the market is usually not stable you can earn profit and equally run at loss depending on market behaviour at the time. Its usually safer when you study the market and do a proper research but your success is not guaranteed. Alot people think crypto trading is where you make quick money and fail to understand there are factors guiding it. I think timing is an important factor, we should know when to enter into the market and secondly, when we are making a profit we should get our capital out and not be too greedy

Very correct that to become a successful trader, you must well understand entry and exit of the market, but saying that trading is much like gambling is very incorrect to me because though they have similarities to an extent, their differences are still vast. For proper understanding, there's an extensive article that details the differences here , It will be of great benefit to you and any other who takes out time to read through.

In just three games, Carrick made Manchester proud. While his record is straight, he has stepped down from his 15-year career at Manchester United. Carrick has decided to leave Manchester United following his tenure as caretaker manager and step down as first team coach. Both the fans and the coach must have been delighted with his performance!
Just this three games for carrick has added beauty and more experience to his portfolio, i believe he will soon be sort after by some other teams that will be needing his coaching services, and he will get a better deal. Now the baton is over Rangnick, in the coming games if he doesn't start bringing results, i am certain that comparison will quickly come in between him and Carrick.

Very disappointed with Arsenal's results in the game today, Auba deserves to have a rethink and refresh on the bench for a couple of games because he is in a terrible form at the moment, he has not proven himself worthy of the captain band that he is wearing. I feel younger players should be given a chance in front especially since lacazette will be leaving by the seasons end and  Auba has shown us that he cannot deliver in front of goal.
3300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 02, 2021, 08:24:11 PM
Yes, Tottenham are ahead in this match but I don't think I'm interested in betting on them even though it seems right they will win.

The game is a very boring one, it's very risky for spurs leading just by a goal especially when both teams are playing counter attack and posing a threat in attack, if not that both teams especially Spurs and lacking proper connection to complete final passes, i feel the game should have more goals by now.
