Nah all the wallet I use before I leave it empty so I don't think I need to revisit the wallet again since I know that it doesnt have any balance. I only check my ETH wallet since I have many shit tokens there collected from different campaogn that can possibly give me money someday , hopefully.
Yup, I also found two of those. One Ethereum wallet was empty, the other one had a few thousand of worthless tokens. Can't even remember where I got them from. It was Nolly and Kakushin tokens. Have no idea how or when I acquired them, searched them up but they are worthless and in no exchanges whatsoever. |

For us to 'Sell High and Buy Low' is every Bitcoin traders perfect dream but for most people this is not the reality of how this works. For me at least I always will come up short end with this strategy.
On more then 1 occasion I tried to sell and make profits and to buy back again. But this method seems to backfire every single time and I lose fiat and its a difficult learning experience.
Long story short is no I dont believe in this method for making profits during this 2020 Bull Run.
I've only got a small amount of Bitcoin, less than 0.10BTC, I decided to buy some when I noticed a price dump. Unfortunately, I didn't buy fast enough and the price had already started rising significantly. I bought at 25.000 (When I could have bought at 24.300) and sold them yesterday at 27.700. Today, I woke up and to my surprise, it had surpassed 28.500. Well, that's trading. You can never be to sure. At least, I made a decent profit, it could have been better, but I was too sceptical before going to bed, was afraid that it could dump when I was asleep. Planning to buy again, on the next price dump. |

Several times I saw threads comparing Bitcoin to gold, stocks, or any valuable assets that could be safe to invest with. Bitcoin is always different from them, Bitcoin has a unique feature that will surely have benefits if you were patiently waiting and holding this just to gain profit.
Those people who understand how Bitcoin works will surely get a profit from Bitcoin holding. The limited supply is the only one assurance that Bitcoin price will increase from time to time, plus another factor is Bitcoin as of now is on medium exchange.
Great research work, you've combined years of data into one constructive and coherent post, with information useful for future investments. Agreed, Bitcoin has been compared several times throughout its existence, from gold, to stocks or other altcoins (at least those a similar philosophy and characteristics with Bitcoin). However, I don't think there's such a thing as a safe investment. Looking at Bitcoin, you'll notice a wide volatility, I'm sure quite a lot of investors have lost money after the 2017's price crash. The positive thing about it though, is that it can be both a long term and short term investment, whatever floats your boat. Since circulating Bitcoins are limited, the demand will continue to rise, as time goes by and so will its price. |

It is also the most reputable and up-to-date news site. Anyway, thank you very much for providing essential information to the bitcointalk forum community.  Cointelegraph and Coindesk and mostly news websites, good for theoretical knowledge, not empirical tools (Include charts, statistics and so on). Thus, why OP hasn't included any of them. However, great find and great post. Found deadcoins.com quite useful, due to being interested in buying some altcoins, while Coingecko looks for user friendly to me, I'll stick to that from now on. |

You can't really predict accurately what will happen and when. I also sold a decent amount of Bitcoin back in 2017. I don't even want to consider what I've sold or spent back in 2015-2016.
On top of that, I sold at $25.000 and $29.500 respectively, I do regret it but there's nothing I can do to reverse it.

Nearly three years ago, I recovered portable electrum with ~0.04 BTC. It wasn't any life changing, but I was enough to put a smile on my face when I convert it into beers  Ha, I see, I had logged in on one of my older online Bitcoin wallets, it was Xapo if I remember correctly, had about 0.05 Bitcoin which I had cashed out and converted into cash, back when the price had reached the all-time high of $20.000 a few years ago. |

After being away for quite some time from the Bitcoin scene, I spent a while browsing the forum. I noticed that there were quite a few people trying to recover old wallets they used to own back in the days.
So I thought to myself, what if I also have an abandoned wallet?
After digging through old email addresses I no longer use, I managed to recover three Blockchain wallets, two of them were empty, but one of them had a small amount of Bitcoin!
I know it isn't much, but it felt good. Have you had any similar experiences?

in the last 3 months, I've sold my bitcoin at $11.7K and $15.2K.
I know I had a bad decision on that.
however, I feel less stressed because I've secured my profits.
reflecting on what I did in the past, hodling is not a good choice for me, I have weak hands and I could need money at any time.
I still have a small portion of bitcoin right now, it's enough to make me happy when seeing the price go up.
I would love to know how do you guys consider to sell your bitcoin after hodling. what's your indicator to determine the selling time? do you set a specific target price? or you just hold because of the hype and everybody hodl too?
I'm "glad" that I'm not the only one. Don't know if that makes you feel any better but I also sold 1/2 of my Bitcoin the last few days, only to see it cross a new all time high the very next day. We're not talking about an extremely large amount, was around $900, but I could profit for at least $100-150 which isn't bad at all. |

I dun goofed by selling half of my Bitcoin at $25.000 and $29.000 BTC respectively. I'm flabbergasted by the price growth the past few hours and feel like a total idiot now.

I did buy some BTC a few days ago, around when the article was published. The market was in the reds, having a decent drop which looked like a good opportunity to buy. However, the next day it crashed even more, having my BTC worth less than before. None of the last price movements were able to recover the loss, thus, I'm waiting for a price spike or something. |

To me it makes no sense to get into the bitcoin game to turn around and sell when its going up and every time i look i made $100. Everybody knows that if we keep buying the value goes up,we sell it drops....STOP selling!!!! i wanna be rich,if you dont wanna be rich then please go play somewhere cause its starting to irritate me that some simple minded people keep selling off my riches...To anybody that feels the need to respond to this post and say anything other then common sense,please refrain from doing so...JUST BUY,LETS GET RICH!!!!

It doesn't work that way mate, there are a bunch of us here who are actively trading, thus, constantly buying and selling is something that occurs daily. You are not going to get rich if everyone stops selling, not that you could control it by any means. People want to profit, not just hold and hope for the best. I have a volume of $1.200 the last few weeks by buying and selling, you can't tell me to simply buy and hold them, won't make me any profit at all. . |

BTC almost break 10k now what will be next ?
It almost surpassed $10.000 but crashed back down again, which was quite expected. We could possibly expect a larger growth after May/June, since the price is on a correction right now. Bitcoin is facing a steady growth currently, thus the price is highly unlikely to suddenly spike like it happened back in December, patience is the key here. |

Depends on how much you purchase them for and what cards they are. Not all 2gb cards are weak, some can actually provide decent performance for what they cost. My two r7 260x actually perform quite good for the money I paid for them, using the Equihash algorithm. |

A drop down to low $8.000's seems highly unlikely right now. The price has been relatively stable, fluctuating around high $8.000's and low $9.000's for the last few weeks. A sudden crash/drop in price should be expected after this many days of stability though. Bitcoin has started promoting a steady growth the last few months, I wouldn't really worry about the price anymore. |

We have been waiting a long time for this, everyone is curious to what exactly is going to happen. How much are we going down, where will we find support. What will be the outcome of this.
My 2 questions to you guys is:
- Do you have any tactic going into the crash, we might get one once the future trading starts.
For example: Going into 1 or 2 altcoins that might be good hedges against the BTC.
Last question:
- What will happen to alts?
For example: When BTC was skyrocketing towards $19k most alts were red, what do you think will happen to alts if the opposite happens? Will we see some green or red only?
I haven't invested into any Altcoins and not really planning to put much or any money on them. I just happen to have some Litecoin and Ripple which I have simply set aside. When the market crashes, I just proceed to buy Bitcoin, I am way more confident when putting my money there rather than some Altcoin, even if it's a major one like Litecoin. I would possibly consider putting money on Ethereum some day. |

i've been debating for a while and I have decided i'm going to get a gpu rig, but i had a few questions
1. should i use nvidia or amd radeon?
2. which would be the best cards to get? if i was to use nvidia would a few 1070's work, or a couple more 1060's, or a lot of 1050 ti's, and if i was to use radeon would i use like some 560's or what and how many would i use
3. which coin would i be mining based on the GPU i was using? would i do etherum or zencash or something im not sure
4. if i was to make a 1070 rig how many cars should i start off with
it would be super helpful if someone could like list the gpu's i should get and include the hashpower and profit
and finally i had a question about the antminer D3 and dash;
it mines only dash and dash isn't looking that bad right now, and the antminer d3 mines at around 19.3 gh/s which will give you like 5 something dollars a day. if these specs are correct, why are all of the antminer d3 listings so low? like what is up with that, i've seen them for around 100-200 dollars and it just seems insanely low

That's up to your budget, find and compare prices of each card, check its one's profitability using a calculator ( https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator) by inserting the GPUs you are interested in. For instance, if you find a decent price for 1050Ti's, it might be worth to buy those instead of 1060's. The first thing I'd look for when building a mining rig would be the most cost-effective, the one that will break even the fastest. Mining profitability is pretty low at the moment though, I'd advise against investing into that right now. |
