3281  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: no server were found after cgminer raspberry pi os on: March 14, 2022, 11:44:15 PM
Are you sure that your Raspi has an internet connection? try to reattach the cable if it is connected through the ethernet cable.

Also, try to replace the pool server or other servers I suggest try this pool below

I still do not work bring your issue on their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.0
Then ask for help.
3282  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ only hashing 45th on: March 14, 2022, 11:29:28 PM
I suggest do a firmware upgrade first before you do anything else about hardware.

If the upgrade doesn't work try flashing it through the SD card and if it still does not work then go try to replug all cables including the PSU metal(reattached the metal) and maybe there is a connection problem between them and replug the ribbon cable and clean other terminals with thinner or isopropyl alcohol.
3283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is coinsbit.io scam? on: March 14, 2022, 05:29:01 PM
How did you end up using this exchange?
This is what happens to those people who are eagerly want to exchange coins or tokens.

I hope next time do some research first or ask here if the exchange is legit or not to avoid scam. The ranking and trust score on Coingecko is useless you must ask or do research before you decide to deposit.
3284  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166 - can't edit/add pools/worker as no submit button on: March 14, 2022, 04:49:33 PM
Try to use incognito mode when accessing and configuring your miner.

Also, try to manually type the pool server then save it. If it doesn't work you might have a miner with locked firmware.
3285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What stable coin are you into? on: March 13, 2022, 11:54:27 PM
Based on rankings BUSD is a much higher volume than DAI and the bad thing about DAI is you will pay a high gas fee compared to BUSD.
Also, BUSD has more liquidity than DAI.

So for me, I choose BUSD but the only problem is yes it's centralized, unlike DAI. As of now, I don't see any issue with using BUSD unless you want to hold them for a long time but if you are planning to hold it for a long time then DAI would be the best but take note of gas fees in the future and stable coins are not good to hold for long term or as a store of value, unlike other coins.
3286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I identify a closed or open source wallet on: March 13, 2022, 11:41:46 PM
Why not read the sticky thread instead to know which wallets are closed source and open source?

You can find the sticky thread under this section or go directly here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0

Take note most of the wallets are closed and only a few wallets are open source like Bitcoin Core, Electrum, and Wasabi wallet.
3287  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory stuck scanning transaction history on: March 13, 2022, 11:21:36 PM
Double-check your Bitcoin core Armory won't work if you running Bitcoin core at pruned mode you can find it under settings and uncheck the prune or you can edit bitcoin.conf and add prune=0 if you don't have bitcoin.conf you can create and add that line.

Also check the troubleshooting guide here below for Armory wallet

3288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Hardware Canaan Avalon A1066 Pro 55TH does not show the temperature on: March 13, 2022, 10:51:31 PM
Would you mind to try to reset the unit to factory default?
To reset the miner to factory default look for "func" button and hold it for 5 to 15 seconds then release then check it again.

If still doesn't work and you can still access the unit through the browser try to copy the Cgminer API logs and paste it here make sure you use Code Tag to make your post clean or paste the logs in pastebin.com and paste the link here.
3289  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9SE DUAL MODE Using one board on: March 13, 2022, 10:45:47 PM
Never heard that someone can make s9se to add more hashboard in one controller maybe you can only succeed if you have a custom or modded firmware but I can't find any modded firmware yet unless someone here can provide it for you.

Try to contact this man thierry4wd
he is always looking for a tester from his custom firmware and maybe he can help you mod the s9se firmware.

3291  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Frequent Power Outage and Low voltage on: March 12, 2022, 11:22:50 PM
What exactly is the unit model of your ASIC machine?

There are ASIC miners that only mine at 200v to 240v less or more than that could damage any components in your miner mostly PSU due to overheating.
I suggest you try to use software to auto-shutdown the miner like awesomeminer to reduce the risk or to avoid burnt PSU or hashboard.
3292  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: any alternative android or windows apps like pi network on: March 11, 2022, 11:43:36 PM
Be careful on using any mining app for Android they are mostly stealing data from your device and most of the mining apps on mobile are partnered with Honeygain and peer2profit.
Those sites are apps where you can earn by sharing bandwidth this is not safe because they sell the bandwidth to other people and it is possible they can remotely access your device or use your bandwidth for illegal activities and be arrested by authorities.

If you actually want to mine Bitcoin or other coins then you should buy an ASIC machine or build a miner to mine Bitcoin/altcoins.
I suggest you read this thread below

Since you are Jr.member you should be aware of the search button(Magnifying glass) that you can find in the upper right of this screen?

Here are some of the threads that you can find if you research a bit the same as your topic as a newbie.

3294  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: On Linux, having trouble verifying electrum using gpg on: March 11, 2022, 11:03:18 PM
where do you get 4.1.5-2?

usually, people get all files https://electrum.org/#download

It seems the source where he downloaded the Electrum is not from the official website I found 4.1.5-2 in Github user Archlinux

Here's are the sources

Code:
Package page - https://archlinux.org/packages/?q=electrum
Package sources -https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/tree/packages/electrum/trunk
Package recipe - https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/blob/packages/electrum/trunk/PKGBUILD
Package recipe (raw) - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/packages/electrum/trunk/PKGBUILD

@2647s

It's not recommended to download Electrum from other sources you should only download Electrum on their official website electrum.org
3295  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: On Linux, having trouble verifying electrum using gpg on: March 11, 2022, 04:44:13 PM
We already have guides on how to verify Electrum you can check these links below.

- How to verify Electrum signature video guide
- How to check if your Electrum Wallet is legit before using it. (For Linux)
- How to verify your Electrum [Windows, Linux, Mac]

It's a bit outdated so you need to replace the links with the latest version before you verify.
3296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Advice - What are these extra PCBs/Chips on these S9 boards? on: March 11, 2022, 04:13:54 PM
I don't see any difference between the old s9 hashboard compared to your hashboard.

You might be just purchased a used miner with a recon(repaired) hashboard.

Those parts are the most common issue like a shorted so possible that part in your hashboard disconnects all connections and replaces a new small board to bypass power or to fix the shorted part.
3297  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S11 how to change hashrate / different firmware on: March 11, 2022, 03:40:29 PM
I tried to search but there is no modified firmware that you can use to overclock the miner.

However, I found Hiveos they have special firmware that you can use to flash your miner with built-in HiveOS client.

You can find it here https://github.com/minershive/hiveos-asic
3298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 10, 2022, 11:51:49 PM
Given that bitcoin price have been affected by market sentiments in the past when the press say things like China regulating bitcoin the price drops down and whales buy then later the price pumps back again without any action on bitcoin from China either. So do you think that bad news about bitcoin affects the price of bitcoin? Using the example above if such a news arises about sanctioning the top 5 CEX will the price of bitcoin drop drastically?

If you talking about the news and if it can affect the Bitcoin price then yes it can affect the price a bit. But the news that you talking about CEX sanction I don't know if it will going to affect the price of Bitcoin it's not actually bad news. Or if it's bad news I don't think it could lead to a massive Bitcoin price drop.

It's normal that we see the price drop and the price of Bitcoin is always depends on the demand and supply actually if you are here for many years you should also aware of Blockhalving where many HODLERs and Traders favorite time to buy and hold. And every year there is no difference in the Bitcoin price movement the price movement right now is a bit slow compared to the past every after the blockhalving.
3299  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCPayWall - The Bitcoin Paywall to sell Content and Digital Goods on WordPress on: March 10, 2022, 11:26:50 PM
I tested the demo it seems fine there are two options to pay either the BTC mainnet or the lightning network.
The plugin is free but if you are going to host your BTCpayserver it would cost you or you need to host it at home with a full node and lightning network.

So far I don't see any problem using it and the good thing they also have a guide on how to apply the module and support Elementor.

3300  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My innosilicon T3 arrived today, the pool settings will not update, solutions? on: March 10, 2022, 10:39:41 PM
I have been holding my investment for months because they sold me locked miners and nobody is in charge, if someone could provide me with an unlocking firmware I would greatly appreciate it. My miners are model T2Thf+ and T2Thl+ thanks

Why did you buy a miner from 3rd party without support? Always do deal only with authorized resellers or directly to the manufacturer dealing with unauthorized resellers do not give you proper support.

There are lots of Innosilicon users here who experienced the same thing and most of them never solved their issue. Only Innosilicon support can provide you unlock firmware if you bought the miner directly from them.

Actually, those 2 unit models are SOC or secured firmware you can't just upgrade it with an unsigned firmware.

Anyway, would you mind trying the firmware posted here https://github.com/mekas17/fw
