3281  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptostocks - BTC,DVC,LTC denominated Stock Exchange/Crowdfunding Platform on: October 10, 2012, 07:11:29 PM
1) Where is Cryptostocks registered as a business.

2) Where are the Cryptostocks servers located?  (Cursory search says Texas, USA)

4) Under what regulatory body does cryptostocks operate?  (List here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_financial_regulatory_authorities_by_country)

those questions aren't going to be answered cause they obviously aren't registered, server location doesn't matter, and when you deal in currencies that have are not backed by any government or one entity you don't have a regulatory authority.
3282  Economy / Service Discussion / [idea] Hosting service on: October 10, 2012, 03:20:36 PM
I see a lot of bitcoin web hosters, but none of them are setup as a quick solution sometimes I just want to upload a website (via git) and have it appear without setting up a VPS or another domain on apache, and so I can delete it as quickly. I would pay a couple coins for a service like this.
3283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: AWS hosting services? on: October 10, 2012, 03:13:56 PM
I wish someone would just setup there own and you can use http://www.openstack.org/ to do it.
3284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: October 10, 2012, 05:22:57 AM
Any VPS will do, but the real question is how to secure a bitcoind, that is most important part.
3285  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you could trade places with another Forum Member.... on: October 10, 2012, 04:02:19 AM

3286  Economy / Securities / Re: Verifing account of GLBSE discussion on: October 10, 2012, 03:00:23 AM
I am not giving any ID information cause for one that wasn't in the TOS and second I don't have any ID and I don't pay utilities so obviously I can't get my coins.
3287  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE is offline We will update our users on Saturday. on: October 10, 2012, 02:47:41 AM
When did GLBSE become reddit with this hold a picture of a sheet of paper, so dumb.

3289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: API C# call to sendtoaddress fails! on: October 10, 2012, 01:36:06 AM
Code:
     HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://localhost.:8332");
that should be
Code:
     HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://localhost:8332");
or
Code:
     HttpWebRequest webRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://127.0.0.1:8332");

Thanks Gweedo, but that actually doesnt matter "localhost." will resolve to "localhost" will resolve to 127.0.0.1.  The 500 error happens on the GetRequest and works fine for the listsinceblock, getinfo, getbalance, etc. Just doesnt seem to work so far for sendtoaddress, sendmany, walletpassphrase - ive given up trying to see which works and which doesnt until I can get some clarity as to what other fields I might be missing.

Sounds like your wallet is probably encrypted, so you need to pass in the wallet password as well.

Well, it wasn't at first.  I did put a passphrase on it now.  But even when I call walletpassphrase, it fails.  Does anyone have a working c# solution project they can share with me?

Thanks

I do have to say oldboy and battle royale are two movies I think are amazing. I really can't wait to see what the Oldboy director can do in the American horror genre.

3293  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking investors, 4.6/10 funded BTCJAM loan on: October 09, 2012, 06:30:57 PM
I am more than willing to answer questions here. I meant that I would be willing to answer questions in greater detail via PM such as my employer details and what ever else you may be concerned about. A lot of what I do and my financials are part of my NDA I had to sign when I got the job so I have to be delicate.

if your willing to id your self, why not just do it on BTCJam?
3294  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pyramining, is it really worth it? on: October 09, 2012, 06:29:21 PM
Pyramining - Is it really worth it?

Can it generate mass ROI?

Any success stories?

Can pyramining make you money?

Yes pyramining makes a lot money, it depends if you want to put in the work to spam everyone your links to build up your referrals.

3295  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: LOOking for the best escrow service supplier! on: October 09, 2012, 03:09:59 PM
The best escrow service would be someone that actually holds on to your funds, but I have used bitcrow and it is pretty good
What about "http://gweedoescrow.phpfogapp.com/"?

That is my escrow which is all manual, so I hold your funds for you, but the sites you listed are all automated.
3296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: can i make bitcoin-qt to make more than 8 connection? on: October 09, 2012, 02:41:28 PM
but downloading the block chain isn't what makes it slow, it is the verification which is hindered by your CPU and IO js adding more nodes wouldn't make a difference.

3298  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 02:23:47 PM
There was no way he was even endanger of going to jail. There is no contact by any of these agencies.

I can't know for sure, but that's not what he seems to be telling people by phone.
And according to some people more versed in state laws than me posting in this thread, he was violating many of such laws in ways that could result in jail time.
He was likely under threat since the very beginning (these laws themselves are a written threat), he only took too long to actually realize it - not only him, but the other shareholders as well.

He had no fiat currency, only bitcoins I believe, so that would make any laws invalid.
3299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet on iOS - install it now! on: October 09, 2012, 02:14:32 PM
Please provide more information on how to add a Bitcoin address to passbook.
Just open instawallet.org in Safari on an iOS 6 device.

Then click "add to passbook" button and it is that simple
3300  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 09, 2012, 01:57:58 PM
If Nefario was worried, he should have just resigned.

How can you be sure that even was an option at that point?
Maybe shutting down GLBSE was his only ticket out of prison. Just resigning might not be enough to the criminals in the SEC/FSA/whatever.

There was no way he was even endanger of going to jail. There is no contact by any of these agencies.
