3281  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance has problems with connections with today crash on: April 19, 2021, 11:22:27 AM
Today, Binance shown that they have technical problems with the market crash. Within 10 to 30 minutes, it was super hard to submit orders and get it successfully loaded on the market orders.

It happened with Binance since the beginning of bitcoin bull run. Honestly I respect the quality and creativity that Binance run their services and some products that create trend in crypto. Today problems recall me the same with Poloniex and Bittrex in 4 years ago bull run.

I hope in this bull run, the market will have another new outstanding exchange.

Nobody knows whether or not the bull run will continue. Will this price correction turn into a bear market or will the price return back to 63K USD?I'm still a moderate optimist that we will return to the bull market during the summer. There's nothing wrong with having a bear market in April,May and June. Grin
Such service interruptions of the big cryptocurrency exchange platforms happen, every time when there's a price correction.Maybe there's an overload of sell orders at a very short time frame and that's why Binance is having difficulties with their service.
3282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic V on: April 19, 2021, 11:00:14 AM
Wups...  So there’s news swirling around that a coal mine explosion at some province in China caused a huge power outage and prolly also caused BTC’s hash rate to drop by 30% or so.  That’s prolly the reason for the market sell down rn.  Just another over reaction by the market as usual.

This looks like an attempt to find a convenient explanation for the Bitcoin price dump.
In reality, this price dump can be caused by multiple factors-Not enough support for a price above 60K,many traders and whales selling BTC to cash out profits, some FUD news, etc.
I don't think that the situation regarding Bitcoin miners in China is the main reason behind the price correction.
Is there a direct correlation between hash rate and the Bitcoin price?
3283  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the purpose of (fiat pegged) Stablecoins? on: April 19, 2021, 06:31:30 AM
The other forum members have explained the usage of stablecoins, but let me remind you about the conspiracy theories about one stablecoin-Tether.
Some people are saying that Tether was created to artificially boost the value of Bitcoin and all crypto coins,by creating fake trading volume and using fractional reserve banking techniques.
Fractional reserve banking means that the promise of the Tether team-every coin to be backed by one dollar might be fake and there's no 100% USD backing of all USDT.
For example,if there are 1M USDT backed by 100K USD(instead of 1M USD),and those 1M USDT and used to boost the crypto prices, then Tether is creating a bubble.
However,this is just a theory...

3284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LOONG TIME, NO SEE! on: April 19, 2021, 06:12:33 AM
I was ordering BTC and I was astonished to see how fucking high tx fee is: $27.00!!!!!! I was like, did something happened? I remember it used to be like a penny. I see the minimum fee is like $7.00 knowing fully well that it will take forever to get it confirmed. So.. I shit $18 in tx fee and it took like fucking 6 hours.

WTH is going on? Greed?

Were you sleeping under a rock during the last few years? Grin
The Bitcoin transaction fees will go up for sure. With the increasing BTC adoption,Bitcoin Core blockchain will get stuck with more transactions, which means higher tx fees and longer confirmation time.
There are two options to avoid this:
1.Just HODL and don't move your Bitcoins out of your wallet.
2.Use off-chain solutions like Lightning Network.I hope that LN will become enough user-friendly and it will get adopted many millions of BTC users.I also know that many people won't trust off-chain solutions like LN.
3285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk stop messing up the crypto market on: April 19, 2021, 05:49:12 AM
Am I the only one who finds his tweets and market manipulation annoying?

A lot of newbies falling into the trap unfortunately. BTC is strong and won't be affected too much but Dogecoin is just increasing its pump and dump reputation. Sad.

It's not his fault. It's the "sheeple" who are following him and see him as some sort of guru or God.
He has the right to express his opinions about everything and he even has the right to troll online. Grin
We can't silence him and we can't ban his Twitter account. We just have to deal with it.
The only thing we can do is educate the newbies about now falling into such traps and not trusting everything a famous person tweets on his Twitter profile.
3286  Economy / Economics / Re: Struggles of being a freelancer in Bangladesh on: April 17, 2021, 07:42:09 AM
I tried being a freelancer during the last few years and it was a rat race.
You don't have any consistent income and the competition is insane.
You have to work for demanding and low paying customers and you have to struggle to find new customers at the same time.
If you are happy being a freelancer, that's great.
Do I wanna stay in the freelance business? No thanks,I will try to find a 9/5 job.
3287  Economy / Economics / Re: Turkish Central Bank Forbids use of cryptocurrencies as a mean of Exchange. on: April 17, 2021, 07:22:48 AM
1.Nobody outside Turkey cares about the opinions of the Turkish central bank in regards to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. This news won't have an impact over the crypto markets.
2.Turkey is country, that has a very weak national currency. The Turkish central bankers are probably afraid that Turkey might become "the next Venezuela" and the people will dump the national currency for Bitcoin.
3.I guess that the Turkish central bank/government is in a "denial phase",when it comes to cryptocurrencies.
This is just a phase and the Turkish government might adopt crypto payments in the future.

3288  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 16, 2021, 12:07:02 PM

P.S.   I am not a bitcoin hater

I Respect  Satoshi  and all the early pioneer to promote bitcoin to the mass
all their effort and all the early adaptor of bitcoin

Thank You

You say you are not a Bitcoin Hater, but you called Bitcoin a ponzi scheme. There's a contradiction here. Grin
If you have a certain point of view, every financial asset can be called a bubble.Tesla stocks are a bubble, real estate prices are a bubble,NFTs are a bubble, gold price is a bubble.
Human perception of value can be weird.People are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for shitty and pointless NFTs,rather than investing in something that makes sense, like Bitcoin. Grin
I guess that scholars and scientists will have to re-write all the books about economics and finance.
The future economy is going to be way different than everything we know.
Nobody knows whether or not Bitcoin is in a "bubble phase" or a "stable growth phase".

3289  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next after Coinbase IPO? on: April 16, 2021, 06:01:55 AM
Having an IPO isn't that easy and not every company can afford to get listed on the stock markets.
I'm sure that most of the cryptocurrency exchange platforms will refuse to launch their own IPOs,because:
1.There's no need for them to do this.
2.The investors will put some pressure over those platforms to increase their revenue, which means raising the fees.
3.Being listed on the stock market means that they will become even more regulated and financially transparent. This is something many crypto exchange owners don't want.

3290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins? on: April 16, 2021, 05:38:19 AM
It's way easier to pump the price of some altcoin, that has 1M USD daily trading volume, than pumping the price of Bitcoin Core, which has billions of dollars daily trading volume.
I don't understand why you should be complaining about this.If you want higher profits and higher volatility(higher risk),just pick altcoins(the trusted ones, not the shitcoins). If you want stable profits and less risk, then pick Bitcoin.
3291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: /r/Wallstreetbets allowed discussing Bitcoin on: April 15, 2021, 11:56:12 AM

Well it might not go the same way as they did in the stock market, to me /r/Wallstreetbets was all about NASDAQ.... however Bitcoin/ETH/DOGE is not bound to New York or USA let alone.

Yes 9.8m users can disrupt the NASDAQ but they can't do same in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is totally a different territory compared to Stock Market, Bitcoin is not owned or controlled by any one.

Just for a reference Elon Musk have 50.8M followers on twitter and when he announced Tesla buying $1.5b bitcoin it just moved bitcoin price from $39k to $43k. Such high and lows are pretty common in Bitcoin now.

Nope,9.8 million investors can definitely pump the Bitcoin price,if they want to.
The crypto markets aren't more complicated than the stock markets and Bitcoin isn't "rocket science".
Bitcoin cannot be controlled, but the Bitcoin price can be influenced by a group of people, that have enough money.
The number of followers, that Elon Musk has on Twitter doesn't matter, since most of them aren't investors.
With Wallstreetbets on our side, nobody can stop us. Grin
The problem with Wallstreetbets is that most of the investors there aren't long term oriented. They are more like pump&dump short term traders.
Anyway,I don't mind them joining the crypto world.
3292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: April 15, 2021, 11:37:43 AM
I just got to find out the importance of saving asset in bitcoin. As of last year October I just decided to split my savings into two and used half of it to buy bitcoin then took half to bank and deposited as fixed deposit which means I won't be taking the money for a period of time and bank will in return be giving me little percentage which I will take as profit, recently I tried comparing the profit I get from both bank and bitcoin, I found out the profit I got from bank is way low compared to what I got from bitcoin, then I decided to stop keeping my assets  in banks rather I keep it in bitcoin which later turns out to be an investment for me.

In which country do you live?
In my country, making a bank deposit means losing money in the long term, due to maintenance fees and super low interest rates for deposits.
My bank was offering me 0,15% for a long term fixed deposit. That's one fifteenth of 1%.
Investing my money in a bank deposit is a joke.I just keep some money in my checking account to pay my bills online and to cash out some paper money by using ATMs.
Bitcoin offers more risk, more freedom and bigger profits and cannot be compared to a bank deposit.
3293  Economy / Economics / Re: Bernard Madoff dies in prison. A 20 year long Ponzi on: April 15, 2021, 06:08:34 AM
Quote
What Madoff did gone on for almost 2 decades IIRC, and I don't know how he did it but when he was caught it was too late, I would agree that most of the time that Ponzi schemes should be seen a mile away but what Madoff did was a really good one because he was a mogul in the financial sector so anything he says is going to be true in a twisted way.

Madoff did it,because he seemed trustworthy and he had authority.
He also offered pretty modest returns.Nothing insane, like 50% or 100% ROI or 5% per week "guaranteed profit".Most of the current HYIP scammers are offering such crazy returns on their social media profiles.
I don't know why he did it.He was rich and he could afford a pretty comfortable life, without going this ponzi scam.I guess that greed is the greatest sin.
3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 15, 2021, 05:50:47 AM
If the news will announced that major exchanges was hack or other big news and we see big drop in price for %50 this is awesome.
People tend to quit then instead of invest. Love the downs love the bear market this the best thing you could have.
History repeats itself and the price wil lgo parabolic again

“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”

― Warren Buffett

I agree,but we live in 2021,not 2013 or 2015.
It gets harder and harder to hack a cryptocurrency exchange and steal millions of dollars worth of coins.
The market also reacts different to such news now. There's less panic selling and crypto exchanges have less control over the market prices.
I love bear markets too,but we will have to wait to witness another one.
I'm not quite sure that "history repeats itself".I'm also not sure that Bitcoin will keep forever being in a constant cycle of price corrections and new ATHs.

3295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ex-CIA Director Proved Bitcoin Use in Illicit or Crime to be disprove on: April 15, 2021, 05:34:33 AM
The report, written by this ex-CIA director won't make the anti-Bitcoiners shut up.
You can't convince somebody, who desperately wants to believe in a lie.
The FUDsters might stop saying that Bitcoin is a "currency of the criminals",but they will keep saying that Bitcoin is a bubble or a ponzi scheme. The FUD will never stop.
This report shows things, that the average Bitcoin supporter already knows-Fiat is more popular than Bitcoin, when it comes to illicit finance and money laundering. There's no surprise for us here.

3296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's the easiest to trade when you aren't trading on: April 14, 2021, 12:40:08 PM
Yep,day trading is difficult. Not everyone can become a successful day trader.
I'm not a day trader and I will never be.I'm more like a "short term HODLer"(I know it sounds absurd).
I HODL some BTC for a while, but when the market gets a little bit turbulent,I get anxious,so I sell my BTC,usually at the wrong time and for the wrong price. Grin
This year,I'm going to stop caring about the price fluctuations and focus on gaining as much BTC as possible.
This is easier said than done. Grin I will probably freak out again,if there's a price crash back to 30K USD. Grin

3297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI uses bitcoin mixers from forfeiture processing. on: April 14, 2021, 12:07:38 PM
Bitcoin is a currency, a digital asset. The seizure of Bitcoin caused by crime needs to be turned into the property and included in the national budget. In this case, it is legal to use a mixer to make money illegally. No one has an opinion on this issue because it benefits the national budget.

Dude, your post doesn't make any sense.
"It is legal to use a mixer to make money legally"?What does that supposed to mean? Huh
"No one has an opinion on this issue because it benefits the national budget."What?I have an opinion about this topic and it's quite different.
The Bitcoins, that were stolen by the criminals have to be returned to their owners, instead of being included in the national budget. This makes the government a stealer of Bitcoins. Grin
Anyway, this article about FBI is probably fake news, published by an "anti-Bitcoin Core" website.
3298  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 14, 2021, 06:44:32 AM
High inflation driving everybody insane. The guy who is running out of money to keep up with the expenditure are pushing themselve to gambling their cash on everything possible, stock market, crypto, commodity. The cycle can be seen in years of the past. It’s not a untold story.
Food price is surely soaring. Some items in the online store soaring in price too, can’t you ignore it wouldn’t impact your daily routine, the inflation drag everybody down into the rabbit hole, no one can escape this chaos.

I don't know in which country do you live.In some countries, the situation is worse than others.
In my country the inflation is currently under control, even though the food prices are going up a little bit.
I don't think that the people are "gambling; their cash, while investing in stocks,crypto,commodity,etc..
Some people act like gamblers, that's why they eventually lose their money. Most of the investors aren't gamblers.
The economy is in a cycle,so it's quite normal to repeat itself from time to time. The problem is that this pandemic might break the cycle,so we don't know what will happen, after the pandemic ends.
3299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Simpsons new prediction" on: April 14, 2021, 06:28:33 AM
Taking jokes too seriously and calling them "predictions" is kinda dumb.
As you can see from the image,"The Simpsons" have predicted that the GME stocks will increase up to +1 trillion and then go down -2 trillion a few seconds later. Grin
Is this "prediction" going to happen in the near future? Grin
Bitcoin having "unlimited" value is just a joke.Nothing can have unlimited/infinite value.
We have already predicted that Bitcoin will be widely adopted in the next years. We don't need "The Simpsons" to make such predictions for us.
3300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My head hurts from all the platforms out there, how do you pick? on: April 14, 2021, 06:05:49 AM
Do you want to start trading cryptocurrencies?
If you are a complete newbie in the crypto world, this would be extremely risky.I don't recommend crypto trading,if you don't have enough knowledge about how to analyze the market, which trading signals to pick and how to behave during a price crash.
Do your own research about all platforms-online reviews, feedback from users, read their terms of service and privacy policy.Nobody is going to spoon feed you and give you valuable information for free. You have to put some effort and decide which platform you want to use.
