3301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Necronomicon thread: Altcoins which are dead. on: February 10, 2015, 09:15:06 PM
Your list did not contain: LTC, DRK, or NXT.

Erroneous.

Those are top volume coins, the opposite of a dead coin...
3302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's failure to scale will show the failure of decentralized systems! on: February 10, 2015, 09:11:44 PM
Currently, the network can handle up to 604,800 transactions per day (7 tps), the all time record of transactions per day on the network was 115,787, way below network limit.

Poker is a game of skill and quite fun, it takes a while to learn and a lot of study to master, but you can make money of it.

Or get a bot to play for you. Don't know if they can already deal with multiple opponents, but it shouldn't be long.

That's not fun...

Ask them where did they get that phone number, request they don't call you again and hang up. Smiley

Yesterday I watched Wild Card and Jupiter Ascending.

I was a bit disappointed with Jupiter maybe because I was expecting too much from The Wachowkis.

Did you watch Jupiter Ascending in the theaters?
3310  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World Health Organization | Measles on: February 08, 2015, 09:48:27 PM
This seems like a tasteless argument. My town has just confirmed a 6th case of Measles this year. Once kids start dying again, maybe then you will be more reasonable

Of those 100 people affected by Measles in the news, how many died?

Could it be that our sanitary hospitals and better medical practices have surpassed the need for injecting poisons into babies?

LOL, don't know if joking or just ignorant...

Can you support your statement with anything other than what you think?

Havelock is a completely seperate company to AM and not based in China so trading on Havelock will be completely unaffected.

3312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Domain Name on: February 08, 2015, 07:59:42 PM
Probably, the best option is a blog, if you want it easy you can use blogger.com, very easy to use and with all the features you need, something a bit more complex would be wordpress.org, you need to host and install the software.

Mr Greenspan, chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1987 to 2006, said: "I believe [Greece] will eventually leave. I don't think it helps them or the rest of the eurozone - it is just a matter of time before everyone recognises that parting is the best strategy.

"The problem is that there there is no way that I can conceive of the euro of continuing, unless and until all of the members of eurozone become politically integrated - actually even just fiscally integrated won't do it."

I'd rather keep the btc but work on getting more in the meantime.

Dogecoin

You think doge can actually reach a dollar value?
Yeah, why not? dogecoin has a huge community support, that's enough, after 5 year, probably reach that value

That would make a shit load of people billionaire and even more millionaires...

3318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some BTC addresses start with a "3" on: February 07, 2015, 05:21:00 AM
Multi-signature addresses

Addresses can be created that require a combination of multiple private keys. Since these take advantage of newer features, they begin with the newer prefix of 3 instead of the older 1. These can be thought of as the equivalent of writing a check to two parties - "pay to the order of somebody AND somebody else" - where both parties must endorse the check in order to receive the funds.

The actual requirement (number of private keys needed, their corresponding public keys, etc.) that must be satisfied to spend the funds is decided in advance by the person generating this type of address, and once an address is created, the requirement cannot be changed without generating a new address.

3319  Other / Off-topic / Re: [MUST SEE] My bitcoiner friends, I introduce you to Best TV-show ever made. on: February 06, 2015, 09:50:41 PM
Utopia is an excellent show, I look forward for the third season.

Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror is amongst the best you can find, I'm a huge fan of him, I was immediately hooked with the first episode, I just wish he worked more on Black Mirror, more episodes I mean, but if it's for the great stories he has presented us with, scarce episodes it is. Smiley
