3301  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 0.15 BTC per transcript of LetsTalkBitcoin on: November 04, 2013, 01:53:37 AM
Great, which ones are available that I can transcribe, it'd probably be best if they were done in order right?

Also, what's the max I'd be able to do?

Look through the thread and see whats been claimed, I'd suggest you start with one as people have tended to commit to 5 or 10 and then not even complete one because it's harder than they thought.

Yes, it is harder than most people think, I'm currently transcribing #55.

Just making sure that there are still funds to be paid out (:

It isn't profitable to mine anymore but, without our miners there would be no transactions going through!

This is why I stick to my blockchain.info paper wallets (:
3309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A proposal: Forget about mBTC and switch directly to Satoshis on: November 03, 2013, 09:34:22 PM
I think the use of satoshi is misleading, it's like instead of saying 10 dollars you say 1000 pennies. mBTC is a lot easier to keep track of than Satoshi, in my opinion.

Maybe the scammer left a little to make you think that it wasn't a scammer who took them?
3311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Creator of Bitcoin come forward? on: November 03, 2013, 08:44:21 PM
Even if the creator of Bitcoin came forward, it wouldn't matter too much. It'd all just be a fight to grab his bitcoin the fastest. There would also have to be some undeniable proof for someone to believe it's really Satoshi.
3312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is the best form to gift BTC? on: November 03, 2013, 08:39:09 PM
There are some very nice looking paper wallets, it doesn't even have to be paper as long as it has the private key on it Smiley

This is a pretty slick idea! Like others have mentioned, Linux from Scratch is a pretty fantastic framework.
3314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Necessary steps for a backup of Bitcoin on: November 03, 2013, 06:53:37 PM
It may be a good idea to look into cold storage, it's usually a lot easier to secure a piece of paper than it is to secure a computer.  Grin
3315  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: DevTheHost - New Bitcoin Based Hosting Service! on: November 03, 2013, 06:10:59 PM
What country are your servers hosted on?
What is the general loading time of a page? Is it still fast if there are say, hundreds of visitors on at the same time?

Our servers are hosted in the United States, and have an average response time of 70ms. (Tested with Pingdom)

Let us know if you have any further questions.

3317  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful from this scammer on: November 03, 2013, 06:00:00 PM
Usually escrow services only take a small fee. I rather pay up a small fee than lose everything honestly.

Good luck with future endeavors!
3318  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Submit a review and get .004 btc, help listings get recognition! on: November 03, 2013, 05:49:16 PM
No limit but we have gotten much more strict on the payout criteria due to the increase in review payout value. We can clearly see when someone is adding a lot of reviews in a row and start get spammy rather then helpful.

Fantastic, sounds good. I'm going to review a few more services that I've had positive experiences with.
