Come on you yellow fucks! BUY BUY BUY!
Not sure if retarded, or just retarded
Maybe both.

there is a saying: A fool and his money are soon parted.

Gunther sounds like the typical investor who bet more money than he can afford to lose, and
now he is demanding that the chinese bail him out.

lol, sounds familiar, that's the american way of doing things.  Roll Eyes

I'm curious - how many QRK/day can you generate with a single computer? The difficulty seems very high now

define "single computer".

I get about 12-14 QRK with an amd 8-core...

It was about 15-17 only 10 days ago...

So it is changing, and I am keeping an eye on it... can't guess how many QRK will be possible in 1 or 2 months.

I have so far made about 150 QRK since I started 10 days ago. Meh, I'm happy with it, and will continue... I am experimenting with adding more older computers I have lying around, but those have often a bad ratio of kilohash/watt.

I use this mining pool http://qrk.coinmine.pl

Profitability calculation: the amd 8-core takes about 150 watt to run, that is 3.6 kW per day. I pay about 0.20 $ per kW, so that would be still under a dollar power cost per day.

So 12-14 qrk better be worth more then a dollar, and yep they are worth more. :-)
it's about 2 -3 dollars at the moment (for my 12-14 qrk)

no. this utterly false translation is because of the neologism "山寨币" which basically means "knockoff/imitation coin" and is the Mandarin word for altcoin. 山寨 shanzai = imitation, 币 bi = coin. However, if Google Translator sees "山寨币的价格" which means "price of altcoins" it translates as "Cottage currency prices" because it is crappy. You can't really translate Chinese sentences well with these kind of tools and it can lead to a lot of confusion if one doesn't speak Chinese.

Danke für deine ausführliche Erklärung.

You don't need separate ports but you can try all using one worker (to 'smooth out' variance)

That was actually a very good advice... I have now 4 computers running with the same worker.

And coinmine.pl has no problem with it.

The total hashes seem to be about right.

I am now hoping to see a higher shares rate because of the "smoothing out of variance" (as you called it)...
but will have to wait a day or two to get better data.

It seems better...

Whats the best pool according to you guys, mining PTS atm but difficulty is getting too high for my hardware.

Thanks in advance!

qrk.coinmine.pl is what I use. I think it's the most popular one.

I use the same. It works well, and they are working on improvements all the time...

Bill Still was openly criticising bitcoin only 8 months ago...

yeah how awesome is that !

: D

his solution to fed monopoly is now quark coin?
there's a real reason he's known as bill shill,

No that's not what Bill Still has said.

He mentioned a few times that he thinks of cryptocurrencies in general as good complementary currencies.

That's the whole deal, so don't put words in his mouth.

Bill Still finally came around and realized that cryptos are created by communities and that makes them similar to complementary currencies like they are used around the world.

Seeking donations for translations on the ixcoin.co website.

Send to:   xm7RZfDQyiYqFQZ6Q9ZgtSkX9e8uBJ3SLY

I have taken the liberty of using Google translate to perform the current translations.

However, a human will perform a much better job.

Several folks have asked about this, so I want to give them some compensation to do the work.

Hello, I am interested in doing a translation to german, since german is my mother language, and I speak english fluently.
I just went to ixcoin.co and the german translation there is horrible.

For example at http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=27 you write:

Wie Sie wahrscheinlich kennen , die iXcoin Client nicht in mehr als zwei Jahren aktualisiert worden. Wir arbeiten derzeit an einer neuen Version der Software, die es mit der Bitcoin- Code-Basis zu bringen Strom .

It should better be:

Wie Sie wahrscheinlich wissen, ist der iXcoin Client seit mehr als zwei Jahren nicht mehr aktualisiert worden. Wir arbeiten derzeit an einer neuen Version der Software, um wieder auf den gleichen Stand wie die aktuelle Bitcoin-Code-Basis zu kommen.

I would be happy to help for a few Ixcoins in return.

Exactly.

If you wanna be an investor, set a goal.

Invest an amount of money that you can afford to lose, say 1000 $.

Buy something you believe in, for example QRK.

Hold it.

Wait.

Sell when your profit target is met.

Set a longtime target, or else you will stick your head into the monitor every minute of every hour... it will drive you crazy.

Be relaxed.

The best way would be to invest a small amount, and simply "forget" it.

Then remember to look at it again in say 6 months from now.

Either you made it big, or you lost the 1000$

But don't lose your time or nerves, people... because that is just so sad and a waste of time.

As an qrk investor, seeing this is so bad.

Be honest, did you create this website?

http://www.whois.com/whois/whyquarkscam.com

You created your account one week ago, and only posted this link with it.

Also you seem to have the same kind of bad english... so please explain yourself so I can do a little pattern checking on your grammar.

You are from turkey?

Will BTC38 offer QRK/Yuan or QRK/BTC?

I suggest you try google-translating the website of btc38.com

It is very funny to read those translated texts too... because it's far from perfect.

give it a try... tell us when you find good information:

I've got a question about BTC38.

As we know QRK is on Cryptsy.com and bter.com, and maybe one other.  What is more special about BTC38 over these two or three current exchanges that handle QRK?

It's a chinese exchange.

And the chinese are crazy savers and speculators.

All gold and silver goes to china.... and they like cryptos too.
3318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 10, 2013, 01:57:31 PM
I believe it will easily reach $5. But that's just me. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

When I take the peak LTC had (50$) , and apply a 10:1 ratio to QRK, I get the same value.

But don't forget, everything is tied to the BTC... and an average value of 1000$.

Everyone assumes BTC will not fall and keep staying around 1000$...

Who knows? There are many factors.

Remember the first spike BTC had in April? After it crashed, it stayed on a stable level for 8 months until it started to rise in november.

We might see something similar I hope.

Stability is a must...

Why are people are stuck with the idea that there can only be one dominating currency? BitCoin has shown the world that there CAN be successful, competing currencies so why couldn't there be more?

There can be just as many Crypto-Currencies as there are Nations, some valuable others not so much, but furthermore I think there can be Industry Specific Coins as well for Agriculture, Automotive, Aviation and most anything else you can think of.

All (or most) NOT controlled by the International Banking Cabal. Isn't that the whole point of this exercise?

Because people are still brainwashed with that idea of ONE reserve currency

like the usdollar.

One ring to rule them all.... etc..

People still see everything thru the dollar-glasses.

Maybe they should take of those glasses, and put on those:

Bullshit. 100 Quark doesn't fucking matter when there's 247 million. Any other coin could have been divided into an equally worthless number like .05 or something. I haven't seen any evidence that Quark is just flying around willy nilly any more than any other fucking coin out there.

Counterexample:

I would love to have 20 BTC now...(a millionth of all coins)

i would consider it my life savings it I had that much.
