Trading bitcoin is important I guess. Because we decide the products price in USD/EUR etc, then we trade them for bitcoins. It's important to have bitcoin/fiat exchanges. Otherwise how are gonna valuate bitcoins? Well, one thing I know is if people stop selling (dumping) their bitcoins, the price at which we value them is most certainly going up. most certainly? of course the price will go up once every person stops selling. people then will place higher buy orders hoping some one is willing to sell.

Get ready for the next episode.
Approaching 300$ fast. well, i really hope we can stay above $300 if we indeed go over that level. so far each attempt has been followed by a dump to $280-$290 range.

Bitcoin is definitely going down to below 1$
definitely? you don't know what you're talking about. that will never ever happen anymore. you are ignorant or just a troll. i think the latter.

it helps my life quite a bit as there is a way of storing my money into something that governments can't control. and it makes me feel good to have invested euros into something much better.

this just shows that bitcoin is getting stronger and gains more trust of investors who invest in mining farms. a lot people predicted that the difficulty would drop to very low levels after the +$1000 ath. they were wrong

Will Greece's failure bring to a new rise of bitcoin price in next months? Maybe a bubble? How much? Tell your opinions.
It is a little late to tell my opinion because things are more cleared now but I don't think that Greeks will buy bitcoins. First because the common people don't have money, second because they need money to spend in everyday things (so no possibility to save), and third because now they have signed the agreement of the help with the European Countries. This is the “quiet before the storm” with a period of tight consolidation. It’s usually the time when the smart money quietly accumulates supply without trying to move prices up too high. i hear everywhere that whales are accumulating coins, but they already had plenty of time to do so. i think it's more due to the fact that traders overal aren't ready for a price jump.

i think it's a bit too much to happen within 2 weeks, but finally a thread without an insanely nonsense prediction in the range of thousands. i hope the price will settle above $300 and stay there.

coinbase fee is 1% and they are still very popular. they must be doing something really good. btc-e fee is just 0.2% which is quite fair. bitstamp would allow to decrease the fee significantly, but only if you're a high volume trader.

people seem to think that the halving will reduce sell pressure from mining farms, even though theres evidence to suggest that a lot of these mining farms that are actual businesses that dont sell bitcoin (e.g. bitfury, 21inc) i think nothing will happen.
if you guys want the price to increase, stop trading bitcoin on shit websites.
Can't wait for Gemini. gemini sounds quite exciting as how the winklevoss bro's presented it, but i really hope their words will become reality once gemini is in full operation.

what's so special about a few uber drivers accepting bitcoin tips? as long as they don't make bitcoin one of their payment options, news articles like these have zero value.
Your ignorance is incredible. Uber drivers can not ask for tips in general (states so in the article, read before you speak), and Uber keeps denying they are working on Bitcoin acceptance. Drivers are sending a clear message to the company this way. i have read the article. still it's nothing to get excited about. if uber indeed happens to accept bitcoin as form of payment, that's when it start to get interesting.

Before Mt. Gox got goxed, it was one of the most used site. And look what happened. So it's never a good idea to use web wallet. New users should quickly get their knowledge.
web wallets are ok if you only store small amounts in them. but there are newbie and regular users who use it as their main wallet with all their coins in it. that's just stupid.
|
|
|
you would expect such a person to not say stupid things. this is just funny, if any one thinks bitcoin will surpass the us dollar in any way, these people are surely living in a fantasy world.

Voted yes. But how much do we have to go up in order to define it as a "launch". New ATH? Or is up to the mid 300's acceptable? Long term I'm bullish as always, short term I do not know, but things feel pretty optimistic.
at this point it isn't realistic thinking in terms of new ath's. if we manage to realize a stable growth to $400 we can consider that a great achievement.
|
|
|
at this point nothing so far. but if there is a nice bitcoin related documentary or movie i like, i will surely make a small donation if they have a donation address.

this site is not safe,i also read bad things about this site on reddit and here. so i am not going to trade there, thanks all
well, you can find weird stories about any exchange on internet, btc-e is not the only one. but it looks like you already made a decision to not use their exchange. try out kraken or bistamp.
|
|
|
btc-e is running for years without much problems, i use it nearly everyday together with kraken. so far i never had a problem with cashing out or deposits.

wallets that only the owner can access and no one else will make bitcoin even more rare as there will be less coins in circulation. but then the next question: what happens with the fiat and coins stored on exchanges when something happens with the account holder?
|
|
|
simply hold your coin. create a cold storage wallet and make enough backups just to be sure you never lose control over your coins. holding bitcoin is already an investment. and a great one

Those are nice charts. I thought the defeat of the bearwhale at 300 (in Oct?) would set a new bottom, but no luck. I am still optimistic about bitcoin, but seriously doubt that boom times of the run up to 1000 will be back any time soon.
I hope I'm wrong, and that the title of your thread is right on!
Good Luck!
you're not wrong. it's actually nice to see that there are still realistic people here that look at facts, instead of living in a fantasy world regarding the bitcoin price. we just need patience. that's all. $1000 is a matter of years before we see it again. The USD will crash this year before september 23. Bitcoin should be well over 1000 by october 2015. what makes you think the us dollar will crash? what you say just doesn't make any sense. if you believe yourself then go buy a huge load of coins right now and sell them in oktober this year.
