3301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" beat Banks sometime in the future? on: August 20, 2021, 10:49:06 PM
What do you think? Will "De-Fi" beat banks in the long term? Or is it still too early to tell? Do banks consider "De-Fi" as a threat to their existence? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

No even we count for decades. The banking system is so huge and will evolve more while in progress. Big individuals, business owners, big people, downed to a regular person will still prefer a centralized system because of safety, assurance, and being insured in case of a fu*ked up.

But honestly, I want to see a full decentralized system but already accept the reality that it won't happen even by less chance.

Rather than replacing banks, why not hope that they will exist at the same time, take advantage of them and enjoy both.
3302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 20, 2021, 10:34:55 PM

I've seen in the news that Pacquiao hinted that this would be his last fight so he encourages anyone to watch it (maybe as part of the promotion too). On the other hand, Yordenis Ugas claimed that he will now put Pacquiao into retirement and make the upcoming match his last fight (we already used on hearing this).

Although honestly, I don't believe that this would be Pacquiao's last fight. He will be busy for the election until May next year so I think he still has 1 fight to pursue depends on the result of his election bid.
3303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why I'd prefer to be forex trader of my own on: August 20, 2021, 10:16:56 PM

If you think that will be your comfort zone then you are free to do it anytime you want. It's good that you are pursuing what you think is manageable by you and not just you saw others profiting at it and will force yourself to engage on it even you don't want.

I think you don't need any piece of advice as you are already decided. I will just say that you should focus on it and not just showing your best during the early phase of your investment.

Goodluck then and hoping you a success.
3304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guidance to trade altcoin on: August 20, 2021, 09:58:41 PM
I want to trade altcoin but I don't know the very coin that will exist and have future. I need guildance to take this step

That would be tough. You need to build your own list on your portfolio based on your DYOR and not just by following other's portfolios.

Well then, for a start, try to pick some top performer coins or tokens daily and weekly on the Binance platform. From there, refer to the coin's community and lurk on their group, if any, to somehow see the inside stuff of the projects and how's the community talk about it.

It is just a start then after quite some time, you will be used to it and finally, you can now able to create your own way on how to pick your preferred alts.
3305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Send bitcoin Coinbase on: August 20, 2021, 09:47:02 PM
when sending bitcoin to an address to pay for a purchase on coinbase must we put the exact amount in euros we must provide an additional fee if so how much? thank you

I don't understand the question clearly (confused with sending bitcoin and euros part) but if you are asking for the withdrawal/transaction fee in Coinbase, you can see it right away before sending it.

It should be included clearly in the final computation and have it confirmed by you.
3306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: August 19, 2021, 11:53:12 PM
So right now its not gambling yet since its a competition and the winners will get a huge reward, this will defend on a gambling site if they'll offer a bet on a championship series but this new Esport on Axie is a good thing the price will continue to rise as long as there's a good update.

Obviously, you can't expect right away that betting sites will put a betting market on it. But still, there's a chance, who knows. Depends on the hype and the possible projection of its market.

Gambling with Axie are possible if they created their own betting platform, this may happen in the future.

Not necessary and I don't see if it makes sense to add it. It's not the purpose of the game even let's say just a side feature.

Let alone betting sites do the betting market for it. No need for the Axie team to spend time or even consider adding that feature.
3307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking vs investment on: August 19, 2021, 11:47:28 PM
Most times we confuse trading with investment and some times we mix the whole concept together staring lots of confusion in the minds of newbies who struggle to get a firm understanding about how the crypto industry operate.

Hmm, then what? Since we put money on trading, should we just consider it as a gamble and not an investment?

We should treat our trading just like how we handle any investment so the approach will be the same - properly managing it along the way. It's not confusing as long as you are focusing on your goal to build good trading winning stats.

And for newbies, it's already common to reach and experience the confusion stage because after all, they are newbies. You can't expect them to be a better person right away in the new environment that they are not used to.
3308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can it reach $1 per coin? on: August 19, 2021, 11:36:45 PM

What do you think? Since you had that NFT for a quite while now I think you already did the research for it.

How's the development?
How's the progress?
How's the volume?
Use-case, burning mechanism, total supply, exchange listing, hype, etc.

What about their platform or the NFT itself. What is this all about? A game? Collection?

You can answer that question of yours, trust me.
3309  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another USDT possible scam scheme on: August 19, 2021, 11:30:30 PM

Kahit sa Youtube wala akong nakikitang recent reviews about sa site so it means di sya ganoon ka-hype.

3310  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: August 19, 2021, 11:20:04 PM

So pag may ganyang events, promotional man or hindi, i-take advantage lang natin. Smiley
3311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 16, 2021, 11:39:25 PM
I would expect gamblers to be more willing to gamble with their coins when the bitcoin price is low. Sure when the price higher we can also make more money with gambling, but we are always at risk to lose out on another price increase.

Didn't seeing it that way as whatever the price, gamblers are gamblers. The betting style is just the same especially for those who are relying on USD value like in other gambling sites where you can base your bet on USD value but with the use of your current crypto.

We are in bullish and bearish many times and gambling activity just grows. It means even in a bullish trend, people won't stop doing gambling.
3312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 16, 2021, 05:33:42 AM
so sad to see that there are boxers like this one who cannot accept an obvious defeat.

It's ok, just let him like that. Boxing fans or not know who's the clear winner of the match.

Should be a unanimous decision but I don't know how Rigo was able to catch one of the judges for a 115-113 score where other judges gave a Casimero a wide gap over scores, 116-112 and 117-111.

If Rigo will ask for a rematch, and with the style he showed, I doubt Casimero's camp will pick it unless it's a unification match.
3313  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Pi Coin: for Future or another scam? on: August 16, 2021, 02:32:18 AM

If I'm not mistaken nag-offer pa sila before ng mobile mining.

Any project na maghype ng future price nila in the future is NO agad sa akin. Ang pangit ng way ng pagmarket nila kung about price in the future ang lagi nilang sinasabi.

Take note, walang ganyang speculation kung di sila nakarining coming from the people inside the Pi project.
3314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 15, 2021, 11:59:24 PM

If the league will return on 29th, what's the sense of transferring the venue right with the extra hassle? Metro Manila ECQ might extend but for a possible date, maybe until the end of the month. And besides, they are already doing a semi-bubble here in the Metro Manila venue. Well, that was their decision.

Complying with provinces protocol really takes time so maybe that's the reason for the change of date. Another reason maybe is, lack of hotel options in Pampanga as maybe some are used as rehabilitation centers for quarantine or temporarily halt their operation.
3315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 15, 2021, 11:55:15 PM
wow, wait a minute, can Stephenson come back to the NBA or did I get it wrong???

He can always come back if there's a team that will show interest in signing him.

As far as the current progress about that is a concern (or maybe just a rumor), there are teams that are expected to participate in Stephenson's private workout and to name a few teams, they are Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia Sixers, and Brooklyn Nets.

We will have to wait for the progress of this.
3316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 15, 2021, 11:44:13 PM
He said, that's the only style he knows to win (maybe, referring to running style), and he only needs few punches to win this fight.

He is referring to defense style. He just needs to gather more points every round and no need to do close combat. It's his style right from the start of his professional fight. It's like a Joshua Clottey style.

And the ridiculous part, is that he really thought he won. After all the running and hugging, you expect to win this fight?

He was managed to connect some good shots including counter shots every round while doing his usual run and clinch. He maybe thinks that judges scored big on it. The fight ended up in split decision meaning his style really works.

This man should really retire, he is just wasting people's money, and maybe this is the reason why he can't get much followers.

Everyone is already aware of Rigo's style. Why are they still paying for it?

He can still fight but not in a title match as he's not fit with it now. I also doubt he can still make good money. He can't bring the entertainment that boxing fans want.
3317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 15, 2021, 11:33:47 PM
Yes, he gets criticism but not from corruption, this criticism is politically motivated because his opponents cannot accept that a once poor guy whose only means of getting in a high position is through boxing is now vying for higher positions in the government,

There's no connection that he was once a poor guy before why there are lots of people criticizing him about related to politics. Not just his supposed political opponents but the majority of the PH community is not in favor of Pacquiao running the highest post. It needs a ripe political experience and not just you just want it. He is vocal about the corruption but why just now? Let's stop the discussion on that. Smiley

Anyways, we should not discuss any further politics related here. It's not the purpose of this thread.
3318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 15, 2021, 11:26:32 PM
Actually they don't demand that respect, but it's all up to us to treat a person in well mannered ways in order to also boost their confidence as well as betting on their paralympic games.

This makes sense. These people don't really demand respect because to themselves, they are normal people, just any other people but just with a handicap. Participating in Paralympics will give them a chance that they can also do whatever a normal person does.

And on a side note, they are surely placing money to bet on this event. Smiley
3319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: August 14, 2021, 08:18:17 AM
That's really true I see that many good gambling sites that turned their reputation down in second by scamming users, not actually scamming but banning the users and leave no payment at all. After that many users didn't trust them and it will forever ruin their reputation.

Can you share some cases involving a "good gambling site"? Like to see how they are today after that issue and if many users are now in hesitation to use them again or the site reputation is now in a negative status.

I think some are resolved* and in some cases, the user themselves are at fault for why it turned out bad.
3320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 14, 2021, 07:51:06 AM
But unfortunately, the country received zero benefit from hosting the Games. The spectators were not allowed, and that meant that there was no boost for the tourism sector as well.

Not zero at all. However, it's expected that there should be more of it if the pandemic didn't hit the world.

Unfortunate timing after several years of waiting to become a country host.

Even With No Tourists or Fans, Japan Is Already Seeing Economic Benefits From the $15.4 Billion Tokyo Olympics

Amid the pandemic, the country affords to spend that amount without harming their other financial aspects.
