Despite the pandemic, what's more important is the Olympic spirit displayed by the athletes. Congratulations to all those who participated in the Tokyo Olympics and thank you to Japan for all the efforts to make TOKYO OLYMPICS be successful despite the pandemic we are facing today. Following these events, we are entertained by the teams who have worked hard to earn these medals. We are proud of each and every one of them. There will be another Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022 and in Paris in 2024.

The tokyo Olympics were held with sensation and the matches that took place at the tokyo national stadium have sparked a lot of debate due to the delays caused by the pandemic, and for me personally this is one of the most moving matches if we look at the athletes who were able to compete so well even though there were no audience from each country, but they have given their best for their country.

What do they exactly mean about bringing the games to the streets? Do they mean to held the games in different places so they can make sure that everyone is going to see it? That would be pretty awesome if they do that because besides the saving from the cost, it makes the game much more immersive and close to the heart of the audience.

Yes that's what the organizers want. The goal is to make the Olympics as accessible to the public as possible, bringing the city and its people together with athletes and events in ways never before considered.

There is still no closed plan, and news may appear in the coming months. But this article explains some ideas that are on the table:

Surprisingly, he updated only one individual record. In any case, he will have many more opportunities to do so, and it increasingly looks like he will surpass the achievements of his legendary predecessor Phelps.
In general, I wonder how the United States is lucky with such mutant swimmers who turn the distribution of medals into a mere formality. Dressel alone brought 5 gold medals to the USA team, and taking into account the relay races, 7!  Shocked

I am pretty sure that it has 0 impact on the performances of the american and european athletes that the olympic games where in japan this time. The athletes arrive early enough to the Games that jet lag is no longer a problem once the competitions begin. Nowadays, everything is scientifically and medically planned. The European and American athletes would not have performed better on their home continent. For the spectators from Europe, of course, it was not ideal because a competition day began at night time and when people usually came home from work it ended, so from this point of view the competitions took place at exactly the wrong time.

Then what was the reason for the poor performance of the western nations this time? And Japan won 27 gold medals this time, when compared to 12 won in 2016. That obviously means that they had some host advantage. Another nation that performed exceptionally well this time is Australia. They won 8 gold medals last time, and this time they improved that tally to 17. Without any exception, it is the Asian teams which have improved their tally from the 2016 edition. The COVID 19 situation might have also played its part.

I think the main reason for the good result of Japan is quite simple and obvious. They were the hosts of this olympic games. One advantage that you have as a host is that your athletes have a little extra motivation but i would say that is almost negligible. The main reason for the better results, in my opinion, is that the host country is making great financial and organisational efforts to perform as well as possible. The decision to hold the 2020 Olympics in Japan was made in 2013.This means that Japan has now had 8 years to not only build the stadiums but also to improve the infrastructure of the individual Olympic sports in the country in order to find and promote as many young talents as possible. Such efforts will result in a better standing in the medals table. Similar developments occurred with Chinese athletes at the 2008 Olympics and with British athletes at the 2012 Games.

It's a bit sad that the Olympics have officially ended but given that a lot of people have been waiting for this to happen, I am happy that it actually happened amidst a pandemic that have devastated lives and crippled economies all over the world. USA was really good at making it climactic, they made sure that they get the highlight at the end in terms of ranking in medals.

Many medical experts were against the Olympics because there is not much of a screening process for athletes while entering into the country and also they haven't been vaccinated just because their performance may be affected in the international arena, hopefully, the event ended well but we may have to wait for few more weeks to know that these event become the cluster or not for the delta virus to spread all over the world.

That's true. That's why France says it's going to bring the Olympic Games to the streets, claiming it's to be greener and involve the population. This can certainly be true. But I believe the main reason is not having to create so much infrastructure in order to reduce costs.
What do they exactly mean about bringing the games to the streets? Do they mean to held the games in different places so they can make sure that everyone is going to see it? That would be pretty awesome if they do that because besides the saving from the cost, it makes the game much more immersive and close to the heart of the audience.
I have always thought that the Olympic Games are too expensive for the country that is trying to organize them so even if this is just an excuse and they do not really care that much about bringing the games to their population and instead they are trying to save themselves a lot of costs when it comes to infrastructure to me that is the right path to take, this means that the dynamics of some games are going to change completely and that the athletes will have to prepare for those conditions, and some are not going to be very happy about it, but it is what it is.

In my opinion, Caeleb Dressel has even surpassed the achievements that have been achieved by Michael Phelps, just winning 4 gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics, the achievements obtained by Caeleb Dressel are the result of the hard work he has been doing so far, and we can see how Caeleb Dressel During this time he hard fight at the Tokyo Olympics, so he won five gold medals in five different events, namely 100 meters butterfly, 100 meters freestyle, 4 x 100 meters freestyle relay, 4 x 100 meters medley relay, and 50 meters freestyle relay men freestyle meters,  and the great thing is that Caeleb Dressel managed to achieve all these achievements in just 8 days, including when he set a world record in the men 100 meters butterfly.
American should be proud to have an athlete like Caeleb Dressel who has a high enough fighting power, I think Caeleb Dressel is the real world version of Aquaman who became an American hero right now Grin.

Speaking of comparisons. I found a very interesting article from The New York Times that compares American athletes in Tokyo 2020 with record holders from other Olympic games, and it's very interesting.

The article has small animations, where we can see the comparison between the various athletes.

In the case of Caeleb Dressel:

He was the only runner to successfully knocked all the water bottles, the others did not encounter any problems. So, I'll take it like an accident. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Therefore, it is also part of the game. We all have different viewpoints. There are plenty of things to point out, but bringing up those bitter memories spoils the Olympics theme. This post should inspire a lot of respect and admiration for all the athletics with a history of excellent sportsmanship.
Pointing out unsportsmanlike behavior should be pointed out and it will not take away the glory of the Olympics. I have seen the images of the said event and it was a clear bite to have an upper advantage and those athletes should be banned for life from competing in further events. There are instances in the past where athletes got banned for life of unsportsmanlike behavior, so this is nothing new.

Well, true sportsmanship was felt by the entire world on the javelin throw event where the gold medal got shared between Barshim of Qatar with Tamperi of Venezuela. This made the entire world understand true sportsmanship and its value. It made people cry out of it. Same as that what's been done here is entirely opposite and such players needs to be give life time ban which needs to be an warning to rest of the players.

LOL.. why repeat the same set of lies again and again?

The gold was shared, because both the athletes were tired and decided against the "jump-off". Al Jazeera and the other Qatari-funded media immediately went ballistic, claiming that the gold given to the Italian athlete was "donated" by the Qatari. The truth is this - Mutaz Essa Barshim and Gianmarco Tamberi had cleared 2.37m, but they failed to clear 2.39m on three occasions. And given how tired they were, I would say either of them had 0% chances of clearing 2.39m, even if a hundred attempts were given. So instead of doing that, they decided to share the gold medal.

The truth doesn't always suit the narrative.

LOL.. why repeat the same set of lies again and again?

You are wrong! And you don't know the rules of that game.
In the high jump, when two athletes reach a height tied and fail to overtake, the pole drops to the previous measurement. If at the end of the three attempts, no one manages to overtake, the pole continues to descend. If they are tied, it goes back up. And so on.

Besides, athletes are longtime friends:

Surprisingly, he updated only one individual record. In any case, he will have many more opportunities to do so, and it increasingly looks like he will surpass the achievements of his legendary predecessor Phelps.
In general, I wonder how the United States is lucky with such mutant swimmers who turn the distribution of medals into a mere formality. Dressel alone brought 5 gold medals to the USA team, and taking into account the relay races, 7!  Shocked

If I remember correctly, Phelps won 8 gold medals at one of the Olympiads, and Dressel has yet to surpass this record. At this Olympiad, he had no such opportunity because he participated in 7 types of competitions and won gold everywhere, I think if he participated in 8 types of competitions, he would have already repeated this record.
In general, it is quite surprising that Phelps used to seem like an alien, but just a few years after his departure, there is a swimmer who begins to break his records and as a result turns into an even more dominant swimmer than him.

Congratulation to the USA as general champion and Japan as an organizer who has created a successful event around the Pandemic. I also thank you for Japan has shown me a beautiful city and neatness when seen it all in the last marathon event. this big capital will be returning back when tourism back to your country, this means Olympic not showing the event sport but will calling back people to come to your country.
Without a doubt these were probably one of the most difficult games not only to organize but also to attend and to prepare for, and yet it all went without a problem, lets hope that during the next games all this nightmare is finally over and we can watch some average Olympic Games in which the only thing we need to care about are the games themselves and not whether or not the games will happen at all because the world is going through an event that had not happened during the last 100 years.

It is sad that Japan received no appreciation for hosting the Games under such adverse conditions. The government went ahead with the Olympics, despite a large part of the population remaining opposed to it. And there was no complains from the athletes and other members of the contingent belonging to the participant nations. The Japanese authorities too care of each and every issue. But unfortunately, the country received zero benefit from hosting the Games. The spectators were not allowed, and that meant that there was no boost for the tourism sector as well.

Not to mention the investment made, which ended up not having the expected return. Organizing the Olympic Games is one of the biggest events in the world where the most money is spent. And it is practically an investment made only by the country that hosts the games and its sponsors. The International Olympic Committee does not help to cover the organization expenses.

Not zero at all. However, it's expected that there should be more of it if the pandemic didn't hit the world.

Unfortunate timing after several years of waiting to become a country host.

Even With No Tourists or Fans, Japan Is Already Seeing Economic Benefits From the $15.4 Billion Tokyo Olympics

Amid the pandemic, the country affords to spend that amount without harming their other financial aspects.

The truth doesn't always suit the narrative.
Quite honestly I do not really know why the media is always trying to exaggerate stories when the stories themselves are very endearing, this is a case of two athletes that were so even that even after the whole competition has happened were still tied, to me that speaks a lot about the preparation of both athletes and that is a good enough story so if they decided to not continue with the competition because they were just too tired to me that's fine, there is no reason to adorn the story anymore.
