3301  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: October 05, 2022, 01:23:09 PM
$20k is so boring. We've been at 20k for long enough, but maybe not for those just starting,
It's a good price to accumulate more BTC for the bull season will be full of tremendous profits.
It is also a good place to start the pump, and I hope BTC continues to rise but still don't know how long it will take

What would be more exciting? $8k? $4k? I mean, my heart was in my mouth 2 years ago when we played with sub-4k prices, even if it barely lasted half a day.

I can't say I won't be nervous if we splash through the 10k mark, and it'll be with some trepidation that I try to make extra in that range but what's wrong with a stable 20k while we count down the days to halving? Wink
3302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: October 05, 2022, 12:12:13 PM
Well, it's quite depressing to watch tonight's "difficult game" turn out to be a cakewalk because I was hoping for a goal or a draw. Imagine Barcelona pleading for a penalty in order to score. Xavi needs to curb his sentimentality I am aware that he is striving to ensure the Spanish players' world cup readiness in his team selection. Barça was a mediocre team tonight, and they ought to be prepared for the match on Thursday as a result of his approach ( Europa league)

Didn't watch the game but saw the pics and reports later. To be fair, wouldn't ever have been given in my book, and in the books of most leagues but as I recall, they're all about consistency with handball in the box now, aren't they? Less vague and subjective views of natural positioning, but yeah Xavi needs to chill the hell down and play good football. They also scraped through on the last win in the league with the few chances they had. They lost me some good money but well, there's always the next game.
3303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High roller looking for KYC casino on: October 05, 2022, 10:05:58 AM
I have sent you a PM about my recommendation. It's the only one I would ever recommend, but with a small caveat. Just in case you're wondering, I have never had to KYC at the one I'm recommending, and never will need to.

As others mention, contact with the admins is best to enquire first.

There are other anon casinos like freebitco.in (which I think has the best rep but poorest choice of games) and Bitvest (which I won't recommend due to past reputation).
3304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 05, 2022, 09:47:29 AM
Didn't feel too long ago to me when we had last halving, it definitely doesn't feel too long more to the next one. 3+ BTC per block may seem even "admissible" to miners if you consider how long they've been enjoying and taking profits (and yeah many are supposed to be almost underwater now but still think that's an exaggeration) but it's really on the halving after the next where we should see things get really interesting when only over 1.5 BTC comes every block.

I'll be "old" then, but 100k BTC should be the new conservative hmm?
3305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 04, 2022, 07:52:10 PM
Damn, Nunez vs McGregor show all the first half. And he saved a sure goal from Salah too. Can't complain, still a good lead, as long we keep control in second half.

Napoli 3-1 so my 2-2 score needs Ajax to score 2 haha...

Spanish teams behind.

Here goes my jinx =D

two exact scores at the moment, congrats

have to comment on red card for Sporting, due to handling, I heard for handling two times, first time when Maximiano from Lazio got red card in first game this season (and he came from Sporting football school initially), and now Adan, Sporting goalkeeper
are they learning that by Sporting goalkeeper coach - not sure, but have to admit that is rare occasion and both time that I heard, it is connected to Sporting Lisbon

@casperBGD @igehhh I jinxed it of course. Funny enough, Bayern held on but it was Marseille who ruined my party at 84th min. Still, 1.5 points is not TOO bad considering everyone else got Result or wrong Wink

Handling outside penalty box you mean? Oh Alisson did that in his first/second season actually, and we had poor Adrian come in when he was expecting to have a nice watch haha.

Last season also someone did the same... Spurs? Chelsea? =D

I actually can't recall hearing of it outside Premier League, thought they were more lenient elsewhere, guess I was wrong.
3306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin + MetaMask? on: October 04, 2022, 07:03:47 PM
You can add Bitcoins to Metamask, but you can only add Bitcoin ERC20 developed by third parties or commonly known as Wrapped BTC (WBTC). WBTC also has the same price as BTC. However, this coin can only be traded on the Dex platform, whereas most exchanges use Bitcoin Core trading.

Please don't confuse people. You can't add Bitcoin to Metamask, you can't interact at all with Bitcoin as MetaMask is not a Bitcoin client.

ERC20 is a token standard anyone can create at the click of a button with certain apps, you can even name it BitcoinSuper if you want. WBTC is just one of several types of tokens "representing" Bitcoin and tracking its price.

Also, not a single exchange I can recall now uses "Bitcoin Core". It's Bitcoin. Please don't confuse people.
3307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 04, 2022, 06:14:37 PM
Yeah, Sporting gave themselves another great start but then red card and yellow fever descended.

Surreal now to see both teams on exact score (5:0 Bayern and 3:1 Marseille), so I hope both Bayern and Marseille take it easy and the opponent also just gives up attacking...

Here goes my jinx =D

The less said about my poor bet, the better. Worst thing is even if United did win, I'd have lost thanks to Liverpool's leaky defence.

But Champions League is back, and I'm putting some bets over the next 2 days, but let's start with tomorrow night. Today, Viktoria are over 63/1 to win against Bayern, but as much as I'm tempted, Mane and co will win. So...

100 units at Fairlay on Shakhtar Donetsk to WIN vs Real Madrid @15.1. Other odds: 14.5
100 units at Fairlay on Copenhagen to WIN vs Man City @43.55. Other odds: 40.0
Units advantage: 60+145 =205

Running advantage after 23 bets: +2169 (+205)
All-time cumulative: +85,933
Running units after 22 bets (4W|18L): +934 (-100)

Yes, this is a vague explanation - in theory, whenever we bet we think it's value. Otherwise, what's the point of betting if we don't think it's profitable. But apparently you can say that you add your picks to this thread if you think they have much higher than average value.
Liverpool have lost points again and it really looks like this is a pattern and not a "temporary" difficulty.

Sorry I couldn't be more descriptive, but believe me, in practice I bet quite a lot on low value (I'm think of Liverpool v League 1/2 cup ties at only 1.2x when they're playing their B team, shockingly poor value). It's the nature of the sports supporter to place bets on someone or a team they like, completely swallowed by bias.

I won't for example bet on Liverpool tonight at 1.35, sounds good but Rangers is a tough physical team, while Reds players are half struggling for form... 1.35 in simple terms is them winning 3 out of 4 games on the same lineup, just to break even. Something I can't even really calculate as the last competitive match against Scottish opponents was 20 years ago.  Can't see value (but on the other hand I'd bet on Rangers if I were able to bet against my own team!).

But yes, I definitely add picks here I think are much, much higher than average value. The biggest clue to me (but I have no science for this) is comparing on oddschecker, which uses fiat bookie odds. You can see the best odds from about 20 bookies there, and if you find something on P2P or with a price boost that's even 10% more than that, I'd call that value. Note that highest odds on oddschecker are usually promos with very small max bet usually so the average is a better sample.

Anyway, my odds comparison is the best among all crypto bookies I have, including price boosts, if any. They more or less take the same odds provider (Pinnacle) anyway, so it's really just juice that affects it.
3313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stage on: October 04, 2022, 02:06:51 PM
I'm thinking of a betslip like:

- Ajax - Napoli : both teams to score (1.52)
- Inter - Barcelona : Barcelona to win (1.82)
- Juventus - Maccabi Haifa : Juventus to win (1.31)

The odd in total is 3.62 which is pretty nice for a parlay I think.

Pretty good analysis.

I'd be very comfortable taking that bet, except I don't trust Juventus at all. OTOH, I've been bitten by Israeli teams this season (they gave a good showing in Europa last season is why).

Some really good acca promos on bookies involving Inter, which makes me feel even better to take Barca -- they lost away to Bayern but they were by far the better team, I think they'll clinch this in Milan.

I'm staying away from betting though, but if Inter take the lead in first half, or Rangers, I'm putting big money on both Barca and Liverpool to win.
3314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: October 04, 2022, 10:35:38 AM
Eh, wow. Rayo won the game with final kick of the game, thought it was already 1-1 and only Trofo and fmbet took points but Elche lost their way apparently, 8 yellow cards, 7 in the second half, that's what I call truly costly, all for nothing to defend a point and then taken away in 8th min injury time.

Didn't watch though, was too busy watching Leicester win and helping me make up a terrible past week of betting!
I really needed this Rayo win. Maybe it didn't changed anything for me in pool, but at least they saved my bet. Switched to this game after 2nd Leicester goal and Rayo played better. While Elche  is heading straight to Segunda with such performance.
Of course they scored and ruined my perfect score. It seems I will have to stop running these pools, every pool I am running I am bottom of it while I am doing quite ok in the pools where I am just a participant. Go figure. I guess it is the added pressure getting to me Smiley Or maybe the fact that I am watching PL almost exclusively.

Yeah, poor Trofo and other guy. They got robbed, that's the truth. I'm not finding it easy to tell myself to do more of these 2-1's since when I do it it seems to hit more exacts than my other scores, but yeah I think Rayo saved a looot of people, judging from the markets I was looking at on p2p (also a strange game as it had more volume than usual but maybe Monday night football?).

Can't tell about how running a pool affects me. Currently am absolutely rooted to EPL bottom, doing so-so in UCL and here, not in any prize spots yet, but if watching football has any correlation, then I should stop watching PL games...
3315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 04, 2022, 09:30:44 AM
Buwaytress did you stick to your Leicester City game plan bro. ?

I did, so yes, am a happy guy. Don't really like when I do it (big MLs to claw back losses) but it worked out Wink

Am I digging a hole for myself or making a smart recovery?
In hindsight, definitely a smart recover. This one was a freebie from the bookies, as I have been preaching whole week in Fantasy topic, Leicester is actually very good going forward and I expected them to score few tonight with big contribution from Maddison. What I did not expect was a clean sheet in the process, I went with 3:1 in the pool and even considered 4:2. If NFO managed to score that one goal all my bets would pass, including a crazy betbilder where I had Maddison to score 2 or more goals and bunch of other stuff.

Yeah, you have no idea how my heart fluttered when Awoniyi was through on goal and his shot went back off the post... if that had gone in, who knows how the game would have gone. First goal took a huge deflection but everything else after that was legitimate great football. Apparently first time that all 3 first half goals came from outside pen box in EPL, according to commentator.

Even Vardy looked so good, only no goal to his name.

I know I said it before but Southgate is deliberately blind when he says he has no creative midfielder to call upon. If he still doesn't pick him for WC...

I put a few sats on the underdog, but hey, that's what I do.

I hadn't had a chance to see Leicester to play so far this season, so I was mostly going by their record.  I've had the full match streaming while I finish up some work, and I agree.  In retrospect they look a lot better than their record would indicate.  They've had a rough schedule so far this year, they might provide some more bargains in the weeks to come.

Of course the question remains about today's match, is Leicester that good, or is Forest really that bad?  Forest was so dominant in EFL Championship last year, I really expected more of them.  Today they looked nothing like a Premier League team.

They have been a lot better than result suggest, so yeah, they got their first win, more than deserved, and I recovered my week's losses, quite
easily as it turns out. Shouldn't have done that though, but I'm happy Wink
3316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 04, 2022, 07:11:55 AM
Asking everyone for Superbru help, is it possible to lock separate matches that start only on October 4, and next day to select other matches starting on October 5?
Or I have to lock all matches before Round 3 starts?

You can lock individual matches, so yes, that's possible =) just click "Lock pick" below the scoreline of individual matches.

Portuguese teams are really something, so I thought to back them, might still change picks tomorrow.
I'll go with the obvious predictions in the pool, but for my bets i have my eyes on Benfica to beat PSG,, It's gonna be a clash of unbeaten teams, both sides are on a unbeaten run (20+ games) in all competitions, Benfica at 4 odds seems decent. Sporting at 3 odds against winless Marseille is good value.

A few more "upsets" : Chelsea-Milan, the italians to win @5 is a gift tbh, maybe they have a few injuries? That would explain those odds. Inter Milan @4 against Barca who we all know can choke in the big CL stages? I'll take those odds. Rangers going on a road trip to visit wounded Liverpool? ml @17 odds?? 👀 worth 10 bucks

TBH, some of those have value
Benfica is undefeated since Porto match in May, but they were on a winning strike till this weekend (all wins this season) and draw with Vitoria in home championship, will be really interesting match

Milan has eight/nine injured players, but Chelsea could went down
Barca should win over Inter, and Liverpool should win as well, thinking about sinking Rangers as Bournemouth

IMO, Marseille is a top pick @2.2 home match against Sporting (thought the same against Eintracht, but lady luck beats me, cannot do two times in a row), they are lousy in Portuguese championship, not sure how they won first two matches, but I do not think they will pass through this group

Yup! I definitely agree here and have already made good money betting against Chelsea, and that wasn't even a tough team, while Milan will sense no better time to take points. I do like Marseille a lot too but whereas I don't see them in league, I've been watching some of these teams in UCL and Sporting and Benfica don't seem to be the pushovers they appeared to be at KO rounds previously. I mean Sporting was playing amazing football against Spurs, was a beauty to watch. Porto I don't know, haven't watched. Maybe it's early season and their high energy style benefits but they absolutely seem valye odds.

Chelsea 1.70 odd against Milan sounds like a really low one for Chelsea especially after them not being able to win against Dinamo Zagreb and Salzburg which are much weaker compared to AC Milan. The odd of 5.00 or about less than 2 for Milan Asian Handicap is like the el dorado to me and I am going to place a bet on such event, exactly this handicap bet now that the odds are such high for Milan as who knows how the odds move until Wednesday night. For sure the bookies want to deceive us as in this game I was expecting a 2.30 for Chelsea and 2.80 for Milan with 3.3 as a draw.

It's suspect, for sure, as I said above, I bet against Chelsea on the group's weakest team... but Milan is expected to play an understrength squad hence the odds -- but for me, it's still 36 hours to the game, I think we see a couple of surprise recoveries. Plus Milan want to end their English record of over 10 years not winning, Chelsea are never going to be more vulnerable than now.

Casper, come on, don't run away with the points!

it is not going to happen, Calcio is hardly my league, I am questioning myself how am I that good so far, but things are settling, not at the top anymore
on the other hand, my La Liga score is pretty lousy so far, hopefully going to improve it

Lazio had an easy won, 4:0, pretty great season so far

Don't sell yourself short. When you're in a purple patch, you gotta just run with it. I thought I was being awesome putting in a Bologna upset but Juve decided to show up, nevertheless, I managed to still improve on my weekly position to 8th (also in La Liga surprisingly). Don't be fooled by Lazio man =D

Now all I need is for Udinese to bring home the goods and I'll not be too upset about my betting performance.

I got this weird itch to put silly money on Leicester tonight to make up for everything over the weekend... 18/10 looks impossible value at home against a promoted side, and Brendan needs his job.

Am I digging a hole for myself or making a smart recovery?

Agree, but why is Chelski blameless here?

Yeah, for over four years now, we have never pretended to compete for the league title like other shitty top four teams because we know we can only compete well in European leagues and cup competitions with fewer matches because we do not have a good squad depth to carry us for 38 games in the league and for the past three seasons we have shown dominance in cup and European competitions. Chelsea is undergoing rebuild following Putin's invasion of Ukraine, >: Grin and we have lost many things in the process. Give them a break. I'm not sure why Loserpool are so shitty with their expensive keeper and €100 million striker. Roll Eyes

That's an expensive pretense to be keeping up, then, if title ambitions weren't part of the plan for 4 years, but I guess oil money's for having fun in the cups. Depth? Well, I guess your loan army has a little to blame for that Wink

80m Fofana can come compete with our expensive striker hopefully when we next meet, eh? I'm willing to bet money he does better than a certain 100+m striker you guys just offloaded (again loan army) back to Italy.

Yup, all I need to do is NOT do anything and I can actually climb one spot up. I really have to haul ass but keep putting it off and before you know it, game week happens.

I'm same as Trofo. Give up. Haaland captain until he breaks, if ever.

Can't believe I even took Firmino out to sacrifice for more midfielders...
