..........

The entire earths population can fit in the Grand Canyon.

There was a good video I saw on YouTube, you can watch it here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_iNRGac_uM

It's called 'What if Everyone lived in just one city'.

At the density of Singapore, the entire world population would fit in the state of Texas&Oklahoma.

but thats cramming people in one location. without calculating the extra space needed for electric, food and clean water production(your example is just the housing)

no one denies people can be densly crammed into small area's. but the myth wasnt the people. it was the land neded for food/energy and water production, plus workspace and product manufacturing.

however people needing a single story house for 4 and land for agriculture is possible without issues
then if you layer people ontop of each other because its possible to grow plants multilayered(stackd ontop of each other) reduces the square metres needed

Singapore doesn't produce food&electricity?

Not so much food.  Around 90% of their food must be imported.

So I finally went through the thread and updated this post with all the benchmarks:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5112311.msg50823897#msg50823897

If I missed any please let me know and I will add them.
Since Jean_Luc has been offline and not updated in a while I think the only new speed increases will be with new cards not from software updates.

Just upgraded my video card to something a little more current - an MSI RTX 2070 Windforce 2X 8G v3.0.    There are already specs on an RTX 2070 but mine come in a bit slower with stock settings.

Good morning Bitcoinland from chilly Toronto.

I see we're moving up again... currently $7795USD/$10365CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Let's keep this thing moving up. Go Bitcoin go.

Now that you've realized what you're doing to our beloved bitcoin, when will you stop going away?  Angry
I mean... welcome back JimboT!  Smiley

I customized the image of a Maine Coon and transformed it with a Cypherpunk Maine Coon style, it has a Bitcoin B in binary code and the Bitcointalk logo with 14 degrees of inclination.

xhomerx10 Is it possible to make a hat with this spawn? : Smiley

If you want you can touch up the background, the colors or whatever you think necessary, I leave it to your choice.

 I'll give it a go!

Hello,

couple of hypothetical questions and observations.

1. hypothetically speaking if I would be able to break btc code what should i do?
- personally i would add 2-3 btc per day, and would keep low profile. of course would change them for fiat and would spend that fiat the best way i can.
now how would anyone be able to figure out that?
i know that exact number of bitcoins that has been mined is known, but since they are all over the place it is impossible to calculate how many are there at the moment.
we know how many SHOULD be there, but not and if someone has/is managed to earn free btc... Cheesy Cheesy

2. hypothetically speaking
if someone would install win 7 fully registered, and after that if that same someone would install win 10 over that windows he/she would not have any problems with win 10 activation and upgrades.

i hope that hypothetically i was able to help someone.

Thank you for taking time to read my thoughts.

best regards,
G

 Well...

 1) you can't.

 2) Microsoft already allowed anyone to do that for the last couple of years for free and they provided links to the download.  Not sure if it still works but here's an article that was recently updated.

On this day, in some parts of North America, we celebrate the technological inferiority of the original inhabitants at first contact, in particular their total lack of gunpowder and resistance to certain European diseases, by eating large birds until we are physically ill.

Cheers WO.

What do you eat for the rest of the week?

Sat: Turkey sandwiches
Sun: Turkey sandwiches
Mon: Turkey sandwiches
Tues: Turkey sandwiches
Wed: Turkey sandwiches
Thurs: Turkey stew

Naw, you usually run out of stuffing and cranberries by Monday and without those, there's no point in a turkey sandwich so you feed the rest of the turkey to the pigs to fatten them up for Christmas.

Just a matter of time before Ripple overtakes Ethereum for good, I mean for real with no coming back.

I even think Ethereum will eventually die while Ripple will remain on the market. Just think how much money Eth holders have lost last 12 months, especially those who bought exactly 12 months ago  Roll Eyes

 Restored.

Why do they have to make everything so damn difficult to service these days?  Maybe I'm just getting old and inflexible...

While I do resonate with your frustration here, it is not entirely their fault.  Just today I was revisiting a circuit I built almost 20 years ago.  Miniaturization was my primary design goal and then I had a fair bit of feature creep...serious density...let's just say it is NOT easy to work on.

All I'm saying is stop a minute and consider just what they are packing in there.

That's a fair point.  I'm just gonna run it without the battery until I can find a replacement.  It seems that lithium ion batteries don't have a good shelf life though... ~5 years whether you use them or not.  Makes me wonder about those Telsa power walls.

Three things that kill LiIon Cells:

1. Having devices plugged in on mains all the time (Repeatedly charging between about 90 and 100%)
2. Storing them uncharged
3. Storing them fully charged

If you store them, charge to 50-70%, check once a year.
Always try to recharge between 10 and 30%, up to at least 90% capacity.
Fully uncharging and then fully charging them again is not good for their lifetime, in contrast to NiMH or NiCd Cells.
I prefer LiIon over LiPo whenever possible. Lithium-Polymer cells are real bitches to maintain.

Thanks for the tips.  Thinking back, I probably never unplugged that laptop!

Welcome to the Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion
or "Asshole Tannery" as it is now known.

Pretty sure my asshole has never been exposed to direct sunlight.

Living in England I would imagine no part of you has ever been exposed to direct sunlight.  Grin

What the hell is wrong with people these days... <insanity-welness>..?

I don't want to get anal cancer (colon or rectal) by putting my hole into the sunlight.. Angry

Oh sure!  Tell me about it now in the darkest part of the year... all I'm gonna get on my perennial are snowflakes and testicles.  What the hell, I'm going outside to try it anyway.  Somebody call 911 if I'm not back in half an hour... on second thought don't; I might get shot.

edit:  oops I meant perineum.
edit 2: and icicles - already have the other
Man that was a fail.

That there is Game of Thrones star Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke.  I don't think she would have time to play Lauda on Bitcointalk.

yes

edit: Wait... is Lauda female?

yes

 I did not know that.
