3321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 20, 2022, 09:01:22 AM
1.-Get a VPN and move on with the casino.
2.-Move to a new country.
I wish the name of the gambling site was included but was not mentuined in the OP and I have not seen anything like that on this thread, but according to the terms and conditions of almost all the gambling sites I have used, VPN is not allowed. He can contact the customer care of the betting site to be certain if VPN is allowed or not.

This is easy to say than done, because of gambling, someone should move to another country? What if the person is having job, family and career in his country? I do not think moving to another country because of gambling is something to be considered.

3322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Europa League 2021/22 Season on: February 20, 2022, 08:49:11 AM
I make Napoli favourites to qualify for the next round. Rebuilding and moulding Barcelona will take Xavi several years, Barcelona are no longer a powerful European team on the same level as Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Real Madrid.
If the away match result was 1 - 1, the home match for Napoli will be very different, I think Napoli will win this match, even if Barcelona try to score like a goal, I am going for Napoli, Barcelona is having its worst season ever since many years ago.

Considering this is European football and many strange things have taken place before, I would not be surprised if Dortmund win 0-2 in Glasgow to make it 4-4 on aggregate. Ranger are not through yet because this Dortmund team can still be a force even though they are not playing well right now.
I prefer watching and checking the lives scores for UEFA Champions League, if what is happening there is happening in Europa league, that means Borussia Dortmund can still win but I am still thinking this can not be possible because the surprise that always happens is when the away team was won and later the second match when the away team is a home will change and the losing team before which is now home will qualify. But Borussia Dortmund was at home this time and was won.
3323  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectation on: February 19, 2022, 01:41:28 PM
Like El Salvador that accept bitcoin as a legal tender, the government of El Salvador bought bitcoin and make it available for their citizens using Chivo wallet which is a custodail means. I have read news very well about Russia that is working to making bitcoin a legal currency, Russian approach can be a little different but it will still also be in a way banks and exchanges regulated by Russian government will be the ones providing crypto services.

This is a way bitcoin can get more adoption but also the way more people will use custododial service. I can say you are right but not totally right because this does not make people that are using noncustododial wallet and decentralized exchanges to use centralized ones mandatorily, but having full control and privacy can be costly.

That said, I know how people behave, later they will say they are using a custodial wallet or bank because their friends have being using it for years and nothing happened, this will make more people to join using custodial wallets, exchanges and banks for their crypto holdings which is what the governments want. I am still wondering why some people like to hold bitcoin on exchanges when they know it can be hacked at anytime.

I believe I quoted the source link in that post, but for some reason, the post may not be complete and may have been posted without the source link.
This is contradictory, you quoted the source link but was not included, how come? This is what is called plagiarism

I have already deleted the post, it is not my intentional work, it has been posted without a source link due to any mistake or negligence.
Why did you delete the post, you suppose to just only add the link and see if you will be pardoned.

1xbit posters are mostly spammers, I am thinking they are using their alts for it, even if having alt account is not against any of the forum rule, that does not mean it should be used for spamming, plagiarizing and joining a scam campaigns like 1xbit.
3325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 19, 2022, 07:32:19 AM
Juventus didn’t play well at all. They were just very dominant and active in the first phase of the game. Despite their dominance in the early exchanges, it was actually Torino who grew into the game, stretching and building dangerous attacks, maintaining about 58 percent of the whole possession than Juventus. In fact to the point of even registering more shots than their Juventus. Atalanta now sit just three points adrift of Juventus in fourth spot, but have two crucial games in hand, which could well prove vital with Juventus surrendering control of the fourth position for now.
Juventus began the match with excellent performance but later Torino wanted to take over, the match ended draw and the 3 points Juventus supposed to have reduced back to only 1 point, there are just unlucky days for clubs, should not be what should surprise us when Juventus is even trying at all cost to make it to Champions League. Atlanta is a good competitor against Juventus, it has played only 24 matches while Juventus played 26 matches, if the two matches left are won, very possible Juventus will only have to go to Europa next season, but I believe Juventus can prove its record.
3326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: February 19, 2022, 07:16:43 AM
Three United States senetors proposed a bill that was said will mitigate risks to United States financial system from El Salvador’s Bitcoin law, making Bitcoin a legal tender.

https://www.bitcoininsider.org/article/149435/new-bill-aims-mitigate-risks-us-el-salvadors-bitcoin-law

Quote
The first part of the report would assess how El Salvador developed and enacted the Bitcoin Law, how El Salvador will “mitigate the financial integrity and cyber security risks” from digital assets, whether it meets Financial Action Task Force requirements, the impact on individuals and businesses, and the effect crypto will have on its economy.

The next part of the report would describe El Salvador’s internet infrastructure and assess “the degree to which cryptocurrency is used” there, custody of funds, the potential for hacks, and the rate of financial access underprivileged or unbanked Salvadorans enjoy.

Quote from: Senator Risch
“El Salvador’s adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender raises significant concerns about the economic stability and financial integrity of a vulnerable U.S. trading partner in Central America.”

But the Salvadoran president, Nayib Bukele tweeted that US has 0 jurisdiction on a sovereign and independent nation.

What is US trying to do about El Salvador concerning making Bitcoin a legal tender?
3327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 51% attack only possible on the latest block? on: February 18, 2022, 11:24:32 AM
If 51% attack is successful, the owner of the dominant hashrate have the power to reverse any transaction, it all depends on the total hashrates that the 51% attack owners are generating.

You can read this which answers your question: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382044.msg59063011#msg59063011

Here's some noteworthy results:
  • With 30% of the hash rate, you have a ~62% chance to reverse a transaction with 1 confirmation.
  • With 40% of the hash rate, you have a ~55% chance to reverse a transaction with 5 confirmation.
  • With 20% of the hash rate, you have a ~10% chance to reverse a transaction with 3 confirmation.
3328  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 18, 2022, 10:26:55 AM
In general, we did not notice a realistic connection between Bitcoin and political events until when the Covid-19 pandemic was declared.
Other than that, we did not witness any realistic correlation that affected the price directly and led to changes by more than 25%.
Bitcoin was not existing during world war 1 and 2, we do not know what can happen this time, but you are not wrong with what you have said, Bitcoin price is not linked to any conflict going on right now, it is just the way Bitcoin has even been in past.

For me, all I know that happened about Covid and Bitcoin price was that people googled more about Bitcoin, gambling, cryptocurrencies and other digital means of earning money, the price of Bitcoin because of this later increased. When Bitcoin falled to $3900 in 2020, some people said it is Covid 19, I don't believe because this also happened in 2019 when Bitcoin falled below $3900.

As we know at the end of 2021 the price of bitcoin decreased due to entering a bear market because of the new year.
But now bitcoin continues to decline again due to Russia's war with Ukraine.
In your opinion, is this the reason the bitcoin price keeps dropping, sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down again.
Because there is a new issue that says that there is no war between Russia and Ukraine but the American mind.
Try and take a look a four year charts for Bitcoin price, from 2009 to 2012, from 2012 to 2016, from 2016 to 2020, from 2020 to recently. You will notice they have a similar pattern. There are times the market will be very bullish and there are times the market will be very bearish. What is happening now is not a surprise, people were expecting it. I have not seen any good reason how Bitcoin price this time is linked to what is going on in Russia and Ukraine.

Nonsense.
It is just a question, is this not harsh.
3331  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics on: February 18, 2022, 01:32:42 AM
We can imagine that after USDT and other stable coins, there goes the cbdc's that will also be helping bitcoin to push its price to the top.
And that's because there will be an added cap to the current cap that bitcoin has.
CBDCs will not help in any way to push Bitcoin price to the top, they are just the same as fiat and nothing more than fiat. The price of Bitcoin is used to compare the price of fiat, fiat do devalue, also demand of Bitcoin increasing is not because of CBDCs or Fiat or stable coin, it is because people see the value in Bitcoin and buy it.
3332  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 18, 2022, 01:22:16 AM
I'll be honest, I have no idea what OP means by a side job or at what threshold said side job becomes the main job.  I've often heard talk of "side hustles" which are usually schemes or off-the-books work that doesn't get reported to the tax man.  If that's what OP is talking about, I'd say that if your side hustle is making you more money than your regular job, there's probably something illegal going on (like drug dealing, for instance).
A kind of work that does not take much time that someone is doing that is not his main job is what OP is referring to as side job, side job may not be the right words for it. Example are people going for work from 8am to 4pm but having another means of getting income like online works that will not take much of their time daily. Some people can realized that they are getting more income from the work that is not taking time than a job which requires daily bank hours.
3333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Europa League 2021/22 Season on: February 17, 2022, 10:51:24 AM
Please, just a question, I noticed you are only discussing about Europa League here, what about Europa conference league, is there any active thread for it also?

Barcelona vs Napoli
Borussia Dortmund vs Rangers
Sheriff Tiraspol (Mol) vs Braga
Zenit St. Petersburg vs Real Betis
Atalanta vs Olympiakos FC
FC Porto vs Lazio
RB Leipzig vs Real Sociedad
Sevilla vs Dinamo Zagreb

I went through the fixture list again. Can anybody see a bigger clash than Barcelona vs Napoli? This is the stand out game for me and probably has to be for most. I think Napoli will win over the course of two games and qualify for the next round.
I can not go for any of the two, Napoli is playing good but I do not have confidence on any Seria A matches outside their league for now, any club between them can win this game, but I can go for first half over 0.5, or both team score or over 2.5.

I would have preferred to go for Borussia Dotmumd, Atlanta and Sevilla to win which I think are more reliable.
3334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is There a Bitcoin Supercycle? Is this the end of 80% drawdowns? on: February 17, 2022, 10:39:44 AM
I believe that the conventional cycles have now been disrupted. But I'm interested in what everyone else thinks.
Why don't you believe in the conventional cycles anymore?

It was predicted that Bitcoin price will increase after halving and it did. It was also predicted 2021 will be about price increase and it happened. It has been predicted that this year will not be that good but selling will be more, it is happening. All that was predicted based on previous last events are all happening. It has also been predicted that there will be bull market in 2024, Bitcoin will halve in early 2024, likely this will happen if history again repeats itself.
3335  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 17, 2022, 09:19:08 AM
There is a large possibility of bitcoin reaching the $50k mark but the real question is how long will it stay above $50k?
A time is coming when the price of bitcoin will never again fall below $50000 ever again, maybe this answers your question.

Will bitcoin find stability at $50k or above ?
Bitcoin price can never be stable, but I think what you mean is that for how long can $50000 be the support level for Bitcoin price. The time is coming, let us see what will happen in the next halving.

Else will it just touch $50k and drop down again in the range of $40k - $45k?
It depends but after halving, if Bitcoin price can skyrocket to over $200000, the volatility is reducing and I will not expect $50000 bottom at any time again.

I don't solely go by expert's opinion anymore because most of the times it doesn't work so we may consider their opinion along with our research and market conditions to come to a conclusion on it but yeah $50k is easily achievable but we want bitcoin to stay above $50k and make it new stable zone in order for bitcoin to rally towards next target.
The worst is to believe on analysts, the best to do is to hold Bitcoin for long time after its price has decreased.
3336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Ministry wants to legalize Bitcoin mining in specific areas on: February 17, 2022, 09:09:12 AM
I think it would be more important that Russia ends up legalizing Bitcoin. Somewhere I read that it could be as legal tender, although without obligation to accept it as in El Salvador. If this were to happen, I think it would boost a mining industry in Russia, but let's wait for developments, it won't be long before we know more concretely.
If Russia is accepting Bitcoin as a currency, that means it can be used for buying and selling and other things related to legal tender, but due to high Bitcoin transaction fee, this is not going to be possible and the banks and laws in Russia about this will make sure Bitcoin do not dominate or affect Russian local currency, most people will see Bitcoin as an asset rather than as a currency. There will be no law about it to make bitcoin a legal tender and not making it a compulsory means of payment but an alternative. I like the moves of Russian government towards achieving this.
3337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: February 16, 2022, 10:18:52 PM
Besides, El Salvador was able to easily sign Bitcoin as legal tender because it is a sovereign nation.
El Salvador is a democratic nation having executive, 84-member legislative and judiciary system of government. But you know that what the executive and the legislative arms of government agreed upon is what citizens will follow. El Salvador do not have the local currency of their own, they are spending United States Dollar, this could be what triggered the use of Bitcoin also as a legal tender in El Salvador. More research would have been made about making Bitcoin a legal tender in the country and the arms of government know that Bitcoin will help the country but over long time.

You even know how the executive and legislative arm of government opinion can override central bank hatred for Bitcoin in any democratic country.

I think I read in the past that the president of El Salvador passed the bill to the legislative arm to make bitcoin a legal tender which they later also accepted. El Salvador is not a sovereign nation. One of the good reasons I read that time is that even 80% Salvadorians are not having bank account, that Bitcoin can be useful for those people.

I will like to know if the Chivo wallet can be used to send Bitcoin to other wallets like noncustododial wallets, but most likely this will be possible on Chivo wallet just like other custodial wallets. What I feared most about cryptocurrencies is phishing attack, the people's personal information collected can be used later against the people. It will be very bad if a Bitcoin user in El Salvador is attacked and the attackers telling him to send all his coins to their noncustododial wallet address. I have not heard this type of attack before but nothing is impossible and it can start from somewhere. This phishing attack can still later lead to a means the attackers will successfully steal Bitcoin from the people their personal information were collected.

I think the criticism from outside is the smallest problem. It's probably more foreign institutions that have no interest in the success of crypto, first and foremost the IMF, but also the US. I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S. imposes sanctions on the country sooner or later, should the introduction of Bitcoin become a success.
About US, sanction for what? Is El Salvador building a nuclear weapon or doing what could cause damage to other countries, or is El Salvador like Afghanistan that is against human rights for women? I do not see any reason why US should sanction El Salvador when also US is supporting Bitcoin.
3338  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics on: February 16, 2022, 08:24:17 AM
Btc isn't  centralised so fiat is only taking care of the centralised system, the struggle is not for bitcoin as it already has a place that no country will put down.
That is true, Bitcoin is not centralized, but exchanges are now holding substantial amount of Bitcoin which is owned by their customers, there are also custodial wallets and some organizations that are providing custodial means Bitcoin can be held or used. What I am trying to imply is that Bitcoin is decentralized but some people are fooled and used it in a centralized way that they do not have full control over their own coins.

actually does not have much effect on the bitcoin ecosystem, because basically people's views about bitcoin have started to change from a means of payment to a store of value asset. but the impact of currency digitization is to create a better crypto ecosystem. this will trigger regulations that make crypto clearer and possibly fully legalized like in el salvador. so broadly speaking it will be good in the long run.
What I noticed is that most Bitcoin users are not using it for a means of exchange, means of exchanges is just an added advantage for them, they prefer to use Bitcoin for store of value, that is why many people are buying Bitcoin.
3339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Ministry wants to legalize Bitcoin mining in specific areas on: February 16, 2022, 08:14:55 AM
Latest news I heard today is that no deal was reached between Russian central bank and their ministry, and everything has been postponed until February 18th.
This is confusing, I do not mean what you posted, but what central bank of Russia is doing, this is about mining, how should a central bank be concerned about Bitcoin mining in a country, this is not the work of central bank. What central bank should be concerned about is the monetary aspect of Bitcoin like how they can help people to keep Bitcoin safely in a custodial way and what they can do to make sure Bitcoin is not used for illicit activities in their country.

I think we are going to see more countries pushing for CBDC centralized coins and China will be followed by EU who is preparing their new digital currency for 2023, according to latest reports I saw yesterday.
More countries are pushing for CBDCs but what I have noticed is that CBDCs are just like fiat and have nothing to do with cryptocurrencies, CBDCs devalues and backed by fiat, and have the characteristics that can make people call it fiat. This is just a means many countries may be confusing their citizens to take CBDCs for cryptocurrencies and which is not.
3340  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: February 16, 2022, 08:03:26 AM
"experts" is a word that is very often thrown around, but no one can master how the market moves and predict it with any form of accuracy, it is all just speculations.
Only what I have noticed is that short time Bitcoin price direction may not be predicted accurately, but I still stay on the stance that long time prediction can be accurate, people that are using bitcoin all know that Bitcoin price will increase over long time after many times of price fluctuations, this always trigger them to buy more bitcoin when the time comes.

"experts" also like to call things in both directions
If I get this correctly, you means experts even says the price can go up it down direction, this is what I have noticed about analysts that make me to be tired about them.
