Too many people treat this like American football teams, I rather look for the win/win.

Go Vols!

("Vols" is short for "Volunteers")

I am curious...what is this "win/win" of which you speak?

Attracting developers to work on Lisk doesn't mean work stops on Ethereum. It might grab some attention from people in Ethereum to diversity their holdings.

I'm sure we will see some developers in ETH ddaps also take on Lisk for their projects. It's like a game company only making exclusive games for a console, It only happens if there is huge incentive to do so or else they will try for release on all consoles to maximize their potential profits.  Because, it's not really their problem who wins or loses, as long as they are using at least one of the winning coins.

Someone invested 300 BTC a while ago. Or maybe several people, but it jumped from 8560 BTC to 8860 pretty quick.

We had a bunch of these 300 BTC spikes.

Like some whale is just buying slowly in bundles to be less obvious.

Sometimes a BTC block takes 1 hour and within 1 hour there can be many incoming transactions.

Could be indeed.

Well anyway nice to see we are at this level of BTC already.

Think the final 24 hours will be the most important.

yea, fomo from even the current investors will convince them to throw more btc in at the last minute

3327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 17, 2016, 02:48:08 PM

seeing as this coin does not get released until like 2 weeks from now, I highly doubt it will be at 1 sat in 1 week.

Can you please stop quoting FUD text? That's the ammunition they want, if you ignore them they will leave after a while.
This FUD makes the thread really hard to read and catch up on what I have missed so far when I have been gone...

No.  If you want to make it easier on yourself, come back and read up the stuff you missed every day.  It's not my fault you come here every few days and have 40 pages of text to read.

Seems pretty stupid for me to give up my right to free speech just because you don't like to read.

im quit new to this... so these 2 people get 2 million dollars for what exactly ?
selling a coin they want to work on in the future?
1 developer ?! wtf
its so much money ....
they could just run away with  it cant they?

Technically they probably could somehow.  But in the same logic, you could also shit out a dinosaur, but it's highly unlikely.

All you newcomers, here's the one and only quote you need to read from all of the page 10-15 early arguments about how Lisk got started:

Hi liskHQ i'm one of the old Crypti investor that you left with dump bag...

DO YOU THINK TO MANAGE LISK THE SAME AS CRYPTI? HYPE HYPE, PUMP, DUMP DUMP & GO NEXT TO OTHER ICO?Huh?  Angry Angry Angry

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg13807300#msg13807300

Who is the original Crypti Dev making these accusations?

Can Lisk Devs clear up these accusations?

Im all against FUD but I know Litoshi was close with the XCR team.

If this is false true or whatever I do like to hear an explanation about this from the Lisk team.

LiskisSCAM has a micro baby penis and yeah, Germany is expensive.

Do you think guys I need to invest in the IPO, or just wait that this coin will be on some exchanges?

As I see you can bought a lot of coins in half price after the ICO ends, and a lot of people dumped their ICO coins on exchanges.

Up to you, I would do a mix bag.  Invest some now and put in low buy orders just in case you can grab some up cheap.

is it me or the amount of my LISK are decreasing? has anyone seen this?

It's normal, more people invest  //  you will receive lessk LISK .... of course the price will be more high than now.
Yeah I started with 23k and am now just under 16k

On the first day, I had over 4 million estimated lisk... a lot lower now.
3334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 15, 2016, 10:15:22 PM
Let's start from the beginning.

Before Lisk there was/is Crypti. Crypti stayed at a marketcap of 500k and even lower for years, because nobody gave a shit about it. All of a sudden two guys from Crypti announced that they will stop developing for it and, unhappy with the way it was advancing, forked out Crypti and renamed their project to Lisk.

For a few days both parties were unhappy about it and the main developer Boris (who's still not responding much) swore that he would stay and continue the development for Crypti, telling us that Lisk has nothing to do with it.

Anyways, just like i suspected a few weeks ago, the scammer Boris and his crew kept this confusion going for a long time (avoiding answers), while they were buying Lisk like crazy, even though they were dismissing it at the beginning. The temptation of gaining fast bitcoins through a second ICO (lol) was too big for our friend Boris and, after he lost all his morals, he made the announcement that he will stop developing for Crypti and switch to Lisk.

What you see now in Lisk is in fact the same TEAM from Crypti ROFL, just that somehow they've managed to fool enough idiots so that the project could rise 6x in a few weeks, taking Crypti from 500k to now 3M for Lisk.

These guys never added anything on top of the fork. It is exactly the same project. Only promises and that's about it. Who knows what shady things these guys did. They've probably even faked the ICO numbers on their website just to create more hype.

Good luck

Evolution?

What does this ask? I wopuld fund some of these 100%. What would the investors get back?

COOL coin Roll Eyes

Do you mean the dapp ideas? You could write below the idea in our Lisk forum and offer funding for the idea. Smiley

So we now have to pay to make the dapps ?

Why can't ICO funds be used for this ?

You have to be the fucking dumbest person on earth.

I guess you are going to have to call every person outside of crypto dumb because they probably don't have a clue what dapps are and how they are created and used.
Since you sound so smart, maybe you can educate them.

-tb-

I never said I was smarter than thou, or that I know any more about crypto than that tard.   And if you think knowing what dapps are and having common sense is the samething, maybe you're just as retarded?  I never attacked you but you seem to want to fight.

WOW... You must be a Trump voter   Shocked

Nope, I'm just able to rationally think for myself

this useless azure hype is getting out of hand.
and what exaclty is stopping MS (a major software developer) to come up with their own coin/system instead of picking some open source newbie coin?

I was also thinking about this for a while, but I think mayor companies (Microsoft, Google, Amazon) don't want open sourced decentralised crypto projects because they can go lead a life of it's own, they can't be regulated. And potentially damage the brand name.

I think the big guys see the winds of change shifting direction.  If they don't jump on the bandwagon now, then they will become IBM in the age of Micro Computers.

Blockchain will kill major companies that are blinded by their own bureaucracy and inability to be flexible

If MS is smart, they are changing their mind and betting on opensource blockchain

just my opinion

yes, I agree with all that, but, my question is - what is stopping MS from making their own decentralized coin with needed features? They have more than enough resources for all this themselves internally

Of course nothing is stopping them but why spend money on design and development of a perfect system when there are so many people willing to work for free.  Throw them all into a pool and see who comes out at the top and then start profiting off of someone elses hard work.

I feel at least now when the economy is starting to fail that this option is much financially sound than throwing a bunch of money at a project that has a high chance at failure.

C-CEX tweeted: https://lisk.io/  is great project! https://C-CEX.com  will be ready at launch!

https://twitter.com/CryptoCurrEncyX/status/709713512680058880

Please note that we are not associated with any exchange which announces that they will add Lisk. All we do is helping them with the integration. Please make your due diligence before using an exchange. Smiley

Okay C-CEX - I do not have an account there. Is this a reliable exchange? Anyone can suggest what is the daily BTC volume of C-CEX?

personally I stopped using c-cex a long time ago.  There was a time where they were at least "accused" of pumping coins and other naughty things that exchanges can do to steal from their customers.
