3321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 14, 2021, 03:14:04 AM
No update yet on the betting odds of this fight?

Been searching for the odds online and I could not find any information about it.
The fight is next month so I'm kinda excited about checking the odds as I am the type of bettor who would love to put a bet early.
Didn’t see any as well, maybe its too early to place a bet but once its available that’s your choice. Hopefully no more changes along the road to make this happen next Month because I’m also excited to watch this two boxer. Usually, I place my bet weeks before the fight which I think the odds are more reasonable by that time, let’s see if some sportsbook will have this as early as now.
This fight is not even popular internatiionally, the purse is very small and it's not the usual purse Casimero would receive and he blamed that for the lack of support from MP promotion, probably the reason why he is now working with a new promoter.
Most probably this is the reason why he changed his promoter, and until now seriously this fight didn’t hit the main stream, I’m also wondering why Casimero is not making any trash talk with his upcoming fight, probably they are still fixing some issues here.

Anyway, I still believe the odds for this will be available soon since some unknown boxers have their odds as well, so this one should be more possible, these two are great boxer that can attract bettors as well.

It's probably because of his opponent's name, I'm pretty sure majority of us here haven't heard of Butler before. So it make sense that this fight will not gain the needed audience except us Filipinos and some fans of Casimero and Butler.

I'm just thinking though, this past few days there was another upset in boxing again with Kid Galahad of UK was knockout by a 35 year old Kiko Martinez and Galahad's belt.

Hopefully this will not happen to Casimero though.
3322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 14, 2021, 02:26:29 AM
This has the making of a very exciting fight there's no bloodbath or thrash talking between the two, they have a contrasting style Porter wants to take the fight or engage while Crawford is a good counter puncher, I'm sure Porter being the challenger will take this fight to Crawford both have strong chins and good in defense so it's more likely to end up in a decision, I favor Crawford to win via decision.

Everyone is expecting a close fight here but the gap on their odds is telling us that Shawn Porter isn't even in the same league as Terence Crawford.

I also don't understand why the odds are so gap. We know Crawford is the favorite here but Porter's odds can be considered as a too easy underdog without a chance that he will win the fight.

Is that how the analyst looked down at Porter?

It's probably the Shawn Porter has a lot of lost already, but it's a very close one.

As compare to Crawford, 0 loss, and is the champion.

So that's why the gap in odds are like that. But that's only in paper, we all now that Porter is more than that. Even Crawford that this could be very well his most difficult fight because of the style that Porter brings to this fight. Hard nose aggressive and very offensive fighter and willing to throw his body that's why he always win close fight.
3323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 14, 2021, 12:39:00 AM
Just watched the final between Shapovalov and Paul, must say that I am very disappointed with Shapovalov. He was better player for the most of the match but had 2 unbelievably bad patches. Both times he lost 12 points in the row after not converting break ball. At the end of the match he had 4:3 and 15:40 on his opponent serve and then went on and lost all the remaining points in the match. That is just mental instability for a guy with serve like his on fast surface.

I dont like Shapovalov he either plays top tennis or really bad one. He mostly plays couple of games good then losses too many at once. If he losses a break in the set its probobly over. He for me cannot reach top 10 he is not capable currently at playing at a big level, like finals or winning them

Wow, I thought that when he won the second set, Dennis will win this tournament.

So that's how the match ended, he has a good lead and then blew everything off. Very inconsistent and for bettors of him, it will be very tough as well.

And as far as I know, he really did play bad for this year and this match probably sums it up.
well said, this match showed how Shapovalov been this whole year, he couldn't defend his title, I think he's still young and still have potential in the future, without forgetting the good run Tommy Paul did in this tournament where he managed to beat Fritz, Murray, Tifaoe and Shapovalov today, he deserved it for sure.

I'm also one of those who thought that Shapovalov will win this tournament. But it was indeed very sad to see him fall short when he has a chance to win this tournament.

I have the game over 22.5 though 1.91 odds, so I will take that win. But seeing him like this the whole year? so much potential of Dennis but probably it's more on the mental aspect of the game.
3324  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 13, 2021, 09:30:58 AM
This is all I can say, in the beginning, what was the price of Bitcoin? $0.01? $0.1 and then it grows to $1.00 and people are saying it's going to die so many early bagholders sold their stash.

Moving forward now, how many regrets of selling their Bitcoin that time? we have seen it countless times in twitter and social media accounts saying this and that?

Now with the current price, what would you think be the price in the next 10 years or 20 years or more? Just think about it, Bitcoin has a lot of surprises for us.
Although it often experiences negative sentiments, the bitcoin price slowly but surely continues to experience a significant increase from year to year, even though it takes a long time but I am very sure if we will see the bitcoin price even more than $500K later, now we just need to be patient and continue to hold our bitcoin for a long time and waiting to right time for later we release it at the highest price.

But knowing how big the marketcap needed to achieve before that to happen and I think that price mark is so impossible to be reach by bitcoin knowing that market is so volatile and for sure it will struggle to reach that far. And maybe its good to speculate first on when $100k to be reached since if we can see that achieve by bitcoin then the next target would be the $200k and this is a quite hard path to take.

Again, that's what we said before, that we can't reach billion or trillion market cap but we achieved it.

So I would say that there's nothing impossible in this market, yes, it's volatile and that's what makes it very attractive to investors specially those very young who are just starting their investment journey.

So I wouldn't estimate it, yeah $200,000 might be hard to break today, but remember that there is this halving event every four years that is the catalyst for the market to reach new all time high.
3325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 13, 2021, 05:49:52 AM

Casimero could potentially face either Donaire or Inoue if he wins against his challenger, it's a task he cannot say no and he cannot lose if he wants his dream to be realized.

I think he will likely face Inoue as his promoter would not allow that to happen.

This is probably the scenario.

If both Donaire and Casimero will win against on their respective challengers, then one of the could fight Inoue, if one of them lose, at least there's still one left that could fight Inoue, in that way, both fights would give good money to their promoters since Inoue is popular and he will attract the fans to watch the fight.

Both Donaire and Casimero are now under Probellum and they have become friends already as the Donaire's were the ones helping Casimero to land in Probellum so I think the probability of Casimero vs Donaire is slim, it would be Inoue fighting whom they think will give Top Rank more money.

Butler had a weak chin, this would be Casimero's target come fight night.

Watch below the KO highlight of Tete on Butler.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKO_hy91rx8

Well if Butler has a weak chin then it will be over for him once Casimero touches that chin.

And we all know that Casimero has power in both hands, so I don't know how long can Butler avoid that. Unless me might run like Rigo and it will be a total disappointment for the fans.

Probably the big target here is Inoue, regardless as to who get it first, Donaire or Casimero.

Thanks for the link though.
3326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 13, 2021, 05:03:29 AM
The lower the PPV price the more people can afford to buy, hopefully, they'll be able to sell a good number of PPV so they'll be profitable in this fight. Porter vs Crawford is such a great fight, it will never be boring so it's good if we book a subscription and watch it together with our friends and family.

As to betting, that is always depending on what we think and on how this find will end up, of course with the fighter of your choice.

I'm maybe wrong but Terrence Crawford is not yet a big star in boxing these days that may be the reason why Top Rank decided to make the PPV price a little bit cheaper to attract hardcore boxing fans to buy. The target market for this PPV will be the US and I don't it will reach 500K buys as Crawford is not yet a draw, hope Bob will realize that and let Terrence fight whom he feels could bring him to stardom.

This Porter fight maybe the start, hope if he wins this one he will fight Thurman next.

You want stardom for Terence Crawford, however, you want him to fight only against Keith Thurman after building his name from a victory versus Porter hehehe. The next fight should certainly be versus Errol Spence. Crawford and Spence are the kings of boxing’s welterweight division.

Perhaps we should take out Spence out of the equation for now. He is recovering from the eye operation, so for now the best welterweight could be Thurman, although he is not that active and it could back fire on him.

So if Terence Crawford wins here, he can't just call out Spence, and I'm definitely sure he will mention Thurman's name because in his previous interviews, he always believed that Keith is the best welterweight.
3327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 13, 2021, 04:23:04 AM
The two favorites today in Stockholm lost today, Tifaoe and Aliassime, not the day to bet on favorites, the one that I think actually deserve it is Shapovalov, he was doing really well last year, but he somehow lost so many times in the first rounds of big tournaments that we couldn't see him play again, I think he can win in Stockholm and beco.e champion, maybe it will give him a boost of confidence to get back to his actual form.

Right, tough match and very unpredictable game again. I thought that FAA can go and win against Shapovalov here, but he was beaten in two straight sets.

Now, it's the final, Shapovalov vs Paul. Dennis now the favourite @1.50. I'll probably go over in this game, three setter and it will still be Shapovalov for me.
3328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: November 13, 2021, 03:41:00 AM
Murata is also a pressure fighter which both of them are.  He isn't really a big contender here, I could say Golovkin isn't cherry-picking after all he is 39 and then matched to a boxer that could be considered inexperienced base on the number of fights.

There's no time for Golovkin to cherry pick his opponent, now he is facing a champion as well in the MW division although others say Murata lacks experience, I doubt that is the case. He also fought a lot of good MW.

Golovkin also gives a favorable venue for Murata since this is going to be held in Japan. If GG couldn't make a big difference such as knocking Murata down, he'll not get the win. If the fight will be too close, it's Murata still. No draw here.

I will go with Golovkin here, I think he is the heavier puncher between the two. Murata is good no doubt and has a good chin, but Gennady still possesses that knock out power even body punch.

Ok since the fight is very near, I try to look at how much is the PPV ticket:

Quote
Crawford vs. Porter info

Date: Nov. 20
Location: Mandalay Bay  -- Las Vegas
Start time: 9 p.m. ET | Price: $69.99
How to watch: ESPN+ PPV

So it's pegged at $69.99, I think it's $10 cheap as compare to Joshua vs Wilder or Canelo vs Plant fight.

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/terence-crawford-vs-shawn-porter-fight-card-odds-date-ppv-rumors-complete-guide/

And so this is reasonable price, and for sure many are going to buy this one just to watch it at their comfort or with some of their friends having a good time.
3331  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: November 12, 2021, 02:29:49 AM
I am 100% confident about this rising market of Bitcoin because people from all over the world are getting acquainted with Bitcoin. The world's largest companies are showing interest in investing in Bitcoin. Moreover, the popularity of Bitcoin is much higher now than before, so the market is much more stable than before.
and i also red recently that even the CEO of Apple is now investing in Bitcoin (though He denied Apply company being part of this investment) yet this can be considered as valuable interest for the whole crypto community .
this is getting Bigger and bigger each year and countries from around the world is getting their interest in learning and also considering investing as well.

I also believed that Tim Cook has a personal investments on bitcoin maybe as early as 2017.

So this bull run will continue despite some minor pull back after hitting a new all time high. That's the market's initially reaction, to take some profits and enjoy it and then comeback later again make some again, rinse and repeat process.

So the bull run might be extended up to 2022 or at least the first quarter and see how high can we go in hit current bull run and then we will see how it goes. If bear market comes then so be it.
3332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 12, 2021, 02:03:09 AM
Seeing Logan’s behavior these days he definitely doesn’t appear to be getting ready for any fight. If this was a real thing being discussed it is clear the he isn’t taking the fight as seriously as his Mayweather bout. I think he’s getting tired of the boxing thing. I’m leaning towards this fight not happening and if it does happen I think Iron Mike kicks his ass.

But he probably loss big money here if he doesn't push through with this fight?

Maybe he was really intimidated now that it was Mike Tyson that he is going to fight, but we all know that this is just exhibition fights so he might go with this one last time before "retiring" in this boxing exhibition thingy.

One last fight, one big money fight and that's it, he can probably sit for the next 5 years for all the money he earn for this exhibition fights.
3333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 12, 2021, 01:36:20 AM
@Trofo how are you watching the matches in Stockholm, I dont see them listed on
Eurosport or on Amazon Prime?

This is actually the quarter final stage, Tiafoe is through to the semi's after beating Evans.
I think Murray has a decent chance to make the final.
I am watching Stockholm on Sportclub, it is local sports TV house, so I am not sure you can get in you part of world but I am sure there are some good streams out there. For instance many bookies also ofer streamed matches if you have money on the site.

I had money on Tiafoe so that is one game less on my multi, now I am waiting for Alcaraz to win 3:0 to cash out on that early multi. Should come easy, unless he decided to take it easy in one set Smiley

I can't watch any game right now because of time zone difference, would just wake up from time to time to see the score. But it's not a healthy practice so probably skip this tournament as far as betting is concern.

Tiafoe did win against Evans in three sets. FAA continue to do his thing as well, hopefully he can past and reach the finals here but it will be tough. Andy Murray's dramatic run has ended as well losing to Paul in three sets.
3334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 12, 2021, 01:07:06 AM
~snip~
Gaballo could introduce himself to the world if he wins in this match.
^ The chances that he could be a win is just a little and it is probably the odds are on the Donaire side.
I have felt that Gaballo will not able to win this fight since I know Donaire has been more experienced than Gaballo. However, I am baseless here when it comes to technical analysis because if luck is on Gaballo he could be able to introduce his name to the public.
Nevertheless, as I say, I don't want to guess and baseless point, let us see the fight if who will be gonna win.
His chance might be slim against Donaire, but he has to give his 100% in this fight. He respected Donaire and call him his idol. But when the bell rings, it's just the two of them and for sure he will fight to the 'death' because everything is on the line here. Because he knows if he win, then more fights for him in the future, means more money. And that's what most Filipinos are targeting, Manny Pacquiao did open the doors for them and many are trying to follow his footsteps, specially fame and glory and money.
But I hope they'll not follow Manny on being a politician as he was not doing well in that department especially now that he is aiming to be a president.

Focus on boxing and continue bringing glory to the country, these two fighters, whoever wins will surely bring honor to their next fight. It could be the biggest fight of Gaballo but for Donaire, it's not as he used to fight champions before, and honestly, I don't see anything special on Gaballo aside from his hard work in the ring.

Of course, only a few brave of them will follow Manny on being a politician.

I think majority of them first really wanted to get out of poverty by earning good money from boxing, which Pacquiao did. So I would say that they young breed of Filipino boxers like Gaballo might be looking at Manny and how he rose obscurity to being famous. From rags to riches story. And this is one thing that Gaballo might have advantage of Donaire in this fight, just saying.
3335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 11, 2021, 03:01:42 AM
Yeah, there will be a lot of money flowing in and that's why it's a good date if that's the final said date that the match will happen. If there are a lot of rumors and some are coming from reliable sources then we can have at least that expectation but no assurance.
There is the expectation that we have on the information that's being spread but still, the official one is still the best source that we can ever know when it will happen.

If the announcement will be delayed, we cannot expect a fight to happen this year.

Donaire is already in good promotion management now, same with Casimero, so they have to win against their challenger and start next year hunting big fights where most likely either one of them will get Inoue, but I have a feeling Inoue will choose an easy path which is Donaire since he beat him before.
It's okay, there's still a month for the announcement once everything they have to set has been already set. With all of the news and rumors about the possible date.
Then that would be by December and there's still enough time for them to market the match and for sure that it will be easier for them. Because there are a lot of fans that are waiting to watch some good boxing matches and this match of Nonito is included and worth the wait.
Not enough time if they'll fight in December, I mean how about the advertising of the fight? They will have to train for the fight, and that would likely require them for over a month to be very fit, so there's a little time left as in the next 2 days, it will already be November.

I think Nonito keeps his body active after his win against Ouballi.

And the order was released on September 21, so maybe after both parties received the order from WBC they might have have prepared themselves for this fight already.

For the promotion, again a full one month could have been enough for this fight. And the one handling this fight have many experience in promoting a fight so I don't think this will be a problem.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 11, 2021, 02:17:02 AM
I don't like the idea that he's being mixed with Tommy Fury by saying "fellow"  undefeated boxer, pretty sure that Jake Paul is on a whole another level of mediocrity of a fighter because I feel like he's not that good of a fighter and I feel like he's not even serious about getting into boxing in the first place. If this was a real fight, pretty sure that Tommy would've demolished this man easily but they need to have some showmanship I guess.

Frankly, these two men are both mediocre in terms of boxing. We cannot expect much from both of them actually if we are to consider them as real boxing fighters. As boxers they have not proven anything at all. Of course we can see that both of them have perfect boxing records, untarnished, undefeated. But look at their past matches. They are all nothing but entertainment shows. They're not real boxers.

Tommy Fury is no better than Jake Paul in his status as a boxer. They both belong to the same level of mediocrity.

And probably that's why they are pitted against each other, LOL So we will see who is the worst boxer between the two.

But so far it looks like majority is favouring Tommy here, at least boxing fans are not that biased and know there sports expect for those who voted on Jake Paul.  Grin

In any case these two are going to make good money here so I think it's ok for both to be called worst boxers.
3337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 11, 2021, 01:32:16 AM
...His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency.
The man trying to play it safe unlike someone who loves dogs that we all know. He is wary of the price volatility that's why he doesn't want to risk the company and I think that's okay. It still opens up the possibility of future crypto or blockchain integration into Apple as also mentioned in the article.

It's understandable, his personal portfolio should be separated from his company.

And I also believed that Tim might have been in bitcoin even before this massive spike, probably during last the last bull run of 2017.

It could be good if Apple will accept it as payment scheme, but Bitcoin's volatility is one drawback that Tim is looking.
3338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin makes new ATH. More ATHs to come shortly. on: November 11, 2021, 12:55:56 AM
I am feeling again what happened last all-time high a few months ago, after creating an all-time high, huge dump after. Just like what happened a few hours ago, but for me, it's just a pullback.
There are still lot of people for $100k Bitcoin this year, I am worried if Bitcoin could not reach it, could be a lot of people be disappointed and start selling?

I was surprised to see a dump again, I thought it will still maintain that price range range. And then the correction happen to early and now the price is around $64,000-$65,000, still a far cry from what we are supposed to expect this month, at least $80,000.

So again, we are back from where we are this month, so it will take a lot of money to push it around this November and yeah, maybe the expected 6 digits will not happen, but we will see, we all know that Bitcoin pulls a lot of surprises specially at the end of the year.
3339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 11, 2021, 12:07:55 AM
Those 6 guys who voted for Logan, what was your opinion based on? Cheesy On a lucky punch? Or you hope that Mike will run out of stamina faster than Logan?

I think this fight will end with a draw. The idea of this fight is to entertain, to show what boxing is, to show a living legend on a ring, to show a popular blogger. But not to get someone knockout cold.

However, having a loss from Mike Tyson in a boxing record also is valuable Smiley You can tell grandsons that you have fought against a legendary Tyson, but lost in a close fight Cheesy

Maybe it will be a lucky punch, (I'm not one of those who voted though).

And I agree that this fight will end up likely in a draw, this is just an exhibition fight, to draw some fun and entertainment for the boxing fans. Will not look good if Tyson will knock out Logan cold, or if Paul was able to slip in those lucky punch. So most likely the organizers are going to look at this kind of scenario an will try to prevent it to happen by talking to both boxers.
3340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 10, 2021, 05:26:17 PM
^^ At least after a lot of speculation on where Casimero's fight will be held, it was finalized in Middle East. Good venue though, as we all know that Dubai is one of the richest country so for sure the tickets can be sold without any problems. Just wondering the PPV though in the US, maybe they will also have to adjust to the timezone to be able to watch.

So exactly, one month from now, we will see Casimero taking his brandish style against a tough challenger Butler.
