One thing I know about Ganguly is that he is very aggressive, at the same time he never crosses the line. This is not true with Kohli. Rather than showing aggression, he always try to bully his opponents. Sometimes it work out, and sometimes it doesn't. Also, blaming everything on Ganguly is not going to make things easy for Kohli. For the last several weeks I am witnessing uncouth social media posts from supporters of Kohli. He should stay away from such behavior, or his career will get negatively impacted.
Kohli is only removed from captaincy of odi and t20. He is still captain of test team and strong member of squad in all formats. He must not start such things about BCCI since he had lot of cricket left to play. He can perform better as a batsmen if he has no burden of captaincy. Honestly I like him as a player but he do cheap things most of the times. None of us want Kohli's remarkable career to end badly. Sourav Ganguly, who is now the president of BCCI, also retired from all forms of cricket at an early age due to conflict with the board. Kohli should improve his performance without getting into conflict with the board. His captaincy has not brought good results to India in recent times, now his performance is even worse. That's how it is, I don't just judge Ligue 1 because there are more prestigious tournaments like UCL and PSG so far still haven't looked convincing in UCL as a team with good quality from Ligue 1. Results like that are rarely made by PSG so far, that's the reason I want to be able to see PSG look more perfect, although I also realize that PSG's position is safe at the top.

i also believe that this season a club will be promoted to the 1st bundesliga that already played in the 2nd bundesliga last season and the second club to be promoted will be last year's relegated club from the 1st bundesliga (bremen or schalke). my wish would currently be st. pauli and werder bremen  My guess is that Pauli and Darmstadt will both qualify for the Bundesliga. Anyone following the unofficial test between South Africa A and India A? I am seeing India A in action after a long break. And I am not sure whether this tournament will go ahead as planned, as the Omicron variant is spreading across South Africa. But for now, the matches are ongoing. After first day of play, South Africa A is at 233/7, but none of their players managed a half century. There were a few 40s and 30s, but no 50s. Among the Indian bowlers, Ishan Porel and Navdeep Saini picked up two wickets each.
Its a First class test match so not sure why they are calling it unofficial test. I think this tour will go ahead because National team is about tour South Africa soon and CSA wouldn't want upcoming tour to be postponed at any cost so they will ensure safety for every player and staff. BCCI and CSA also enjoy good relation. Ishan Porel is good but Saini is not disciplined bowler and its seems Batters are also in okay-ish form. Priyank Panchal and Abhimanyu Easwaran made 96 and 103 respectively in the first match. Prithvi also hinting that he's about to find his hands. Vihari's form is more important tho. He was sent there for a reason, i hope he score some runs and make his comeback in national team. I honestly think that if Prithvi plays well he might get a chance in the national team and also get that fast. He is a good batsman in my opinion. He can hit a long ball, But he has to be consistent enough. Talking about consistency I think Saini is a good bowler and has good enough pace but the only problem is that if he balls 5 good deliveries in one over he balls one ball which is absolutely like a free hit to the batsman. I guess it would be extremely difficult for Spezia to avoid a defeat when they play against Inter Milan away from their home stadium today. Too much load is having some big effect on players mentally and physically, and we all know about this because we have too many examples about this but sadly BCCI and their greediness is not looking in this way because they are having some big amounts in their wallets and with having nothing to do just announcing new teams and more work load on players is having nothing issue for them, so it's going to be carried on for some more time until we have some big side effect of this all.
They don't think players are also humans, and they need some better environment for giving their 100%, or they must bring some soft policy for them as players allowed to have a limit of matches for year or this event, then surely this will bring some better results for franchise and players both.
@SirLancelot the biggest issue for player’s was bubble fatigue, and unless their living in bubble doesn’t end I expect them to be more drained for the future tournaments. Furthermore while we can and should criticise BCCI for IPL, but why allow the player’s the free pass as they chose to participate in it very well knowing they could have opted out of it, so end story is even player’s care more about money then their health. In my opinion, we would clear through a chance of getting money if they can. And also if they can play really well in IPL they will be known worldwide. And it is also a really great experience to play with players from overseas and learn from a lot of great players and coaches. So for me, the players are ok to play if there is a chance. |

I don't know if ICC is willing to take that initial loss of 5 years. But in my opinion, it is not going to be that long and the sport is going to be much more popular before that if necessary steps are taken and bringing in more international team are not neglected. But the thing is if you have to do something you have to sacrifice something. But the question is are they willing to do that?
It's not all about ICC because they can't force any board for doing things like this it's need some fair and love for game big three can start few things which bring good funds, and then they provide funds for small boards to start leagues or small tournaments for women cricket which could be more helpful for all parties but sadly right now we have greediness of money which is preventing things to do for game mostly things happening for personal profit. If ICC have power then surely they can use this like UEFA and then this game has some better future and more adoption in many countries, but it's never going to happen it's just dream which is ruined by very few people's personal ego. Currently, just England and Australia can afford this luxury, so they will take good advantage in future as well. I believe we all can agree that ICC has no such power to ask a country’s board to start a woman’s league, however they can try and cut a small window for such a league when there’s no international match taking place. Also BCCI will opt for it if they see good money right from the start, but post the pandemic I’m not sure they’ll like to take a risk right away and start this league, hence it may take a year or two before they get serious about WIPL. I think that ICC has the power and they can easily reach out to make cricket more famous to people. But the problem is well everything happens around money then a lot of good things are ignored because of some self-gain. Portugal is definitely stronger than Turkey. But don't think Turkey is weak. They are probably a bit off form now. But in past Turkey has surprised us by showing us a lot of great gameplay. Turkey has a good enough squad. If Ronaldo fails to perform in this match for some reason, then Turkey has a chance to win.
If we were talking about the Turkey we watched against Netherlands and lost by 6-1, I would say that they are really weak. But they are not performing like that anymore as far as I see. They improved their performance in their last three group games. And if they play really focusedly against Portugal, I think we can watch a really competitive game. Maybe Portugal would still be one step ahead but at least Turkey would fight back against them. I know that Turkey has conceded a humiliating 6-0 defeat against the Netherlands. I watched the match. But in the previous match against the Netherlands, Turkey had won 4-2. Now the players have lost form. But I will not call the Turkish team weak. They can ignite at any time. It is an awkward situation really. All of the teams have the same amount of wins. And all of the teams still have an opportunity for promoting to the next stage of the tournament. My favourites to promote are going to be Leicester and Spartak Moscow. I think that Leicester can capture at least one point against Napoli. They were nearly beating Napoli before in the end. Legia will host Spartak Moscow and they beat Spartak Moscow once before. But this time, I'm expecting Spartak Moscow to earn at least one point.

However I feel that the experience of Brendan Rogers who’s their head coach will help Leicester beat Napoli, but mark my words it’ll be a tense match and hence I expect the final scoreline to be 1 - 0 in Leicester City's favour. Even if Leicester could draw, they would still be able to qualify for the next round. Leicester's goal here is not to lose points in this match. Since Leicester are not a weak team, they can easily draw the match against Napoli if they play defensively. But my fear is that this is Napoli's home match. They will want to score full points in the home match. I think that Napoli has to win this match. And if they win they are going to be ahead for qualifying. These test match rules completely suck sometimes. How the heck does NZ get away with a draw when India clearly won the match?
Really, now you want to award the wining's to the Indian team even if they have not managed to win the match ? The fact is that Indian team have included failed and pathetic bowlers like Ishant Sharma, Ashwin and Patel who cant even bowl out the last man of the New Zealand team. They were looking completely helpless to get the wicket. Although the match was drawn. But I have to say that India has played great. Here New Zealand's goal was to survive at the crease and draw the match. New Zealand did not expect to win the run target that India gave. They also failed to survive at the crease. The performance of the batsmen was terribly bad. Rachin Ravindra played 91 balls. Only for Ravindra, New Zealand can draw the match. Yes, absolutely and I think ok almost all the credit goes to the last pair of batsmen. They really survived a great amount of time and that was also in front of a really good morning attack. I mean even the top order and the middle-order batsman couldn't do anything against those bowlers. India should really feel a little disappointed not to be able to get the last wicket but they really dominated the test match even though it was a draw. |

It looks like CSK is building a stable squad again. However, the performance of each team in the IPL depends on the form of the players. Last season we saw that despite having a lot of star players, the performance of the teams was not that much good. RCB can be considered as an example.
