3321  Other / Beginners & Help / How do you safely keep your recovery phrase written on paper? on: July 23, 2022, 07:59:49 AM
Yesterday, my mom did a general cleaning on my room and when she's done, I saw the recovery phrase of my Trezor hardware wallet on the garbage can which I placed on my computer table, I also have that same copy on my wallet but still can't stop myself to tremble in fear to lose that piece of paper. I didn't told her about it to avoid more argument because she wouldn't still understand what it is. This is what I've been scared about when people say to write your recovery phrases on a piece of paper instead of storing it online.

I would like to know how others keep these secret phrases if the people in your house are not really knowledgeable in crypto. Would it be safe if I store it online but the file is encrypted and password protected?
3322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 23, 2022, 07:12:06 AM
It is a mandatory requirement for some of the signature campaign related to casino so it's obvious that people will mostly post here to qualify for week's payment. If they remove that requirement or decrease it to maybe 5 then posts here should also be fewer. Some campaigns also pays more when you post on these boards making people to post here more often.
3323  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 23, 2022, 06:09:34 AM
I have once said before I believe last month that KYC shouldn't be a problem for gamblers if the casino is trustworthy and they still doing its best to keep the record intact which I believe is a sign of the casino's devotion to its users but I guess some people will still make a big deal while they can easily do it on centralized exchange whereas most of them lack good security and devotion this day.
KYC or not, like it or not, accept it or not, you decide.

Roobet does not decide it for you.
Honestly, this is what I always tell people and I am happy to see someone that understands that the KYC thing is something that's beyond the casino's power and once the casino Master license holder introduces a rule and regulation the casino must comply.

This is what I don't get to people, they are afraid to do KYC but they almost expose their whole life on social media. As long as the casino is reputable and you don't have criminal records that could alert the authorities then it should not be a problem complying on their rules. Criminals can't just use your identity if you limit what you post on the internet. Casino's usually just ask for your complete name, address, and a valid id to prove it. I don't think that is enough for someone to use your identity for their bad intentions.
3324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 22, 2022, 01:52:42 PM
So all in all, roobet is limiting themselves on people who are fine with it and also like their website all at the same time. This is still allowing them to make a good chunk of money as we have seen, just not as much as they possibly could.

I think Roobet is more leaning to follow authorities rules with implementing KYC than getting more profit from Non-KYC lover.  They don't want any headaches in the future so they rather implement it early on and besides those who trust Roobet will have no problem with KYC implementation.  They maybe missing out on those kind of gambler(non-kyc lover) but it is better to be safe from any future problems.

I think that all crypto casinos will gradually switch to identity verification.  All casinos that work with fiat money already work this way.  If you are asked to submit a photo for KYC, draw a watermark on your image.  This will help protect your data from fraudsters.

Don't know if casino allow that because maybe they cannot verify the photo is real due to added application unto that. But to avoid such risk the most effective way is to stay on big casinos because for sure they will not take any bad action to compromise their users. So I guess do only the KYC on trusted platform and never provide on any random casino which didn't show some good performance upon running their operation.

Most casino give you a url link to access your camera and take a selfie so it's really not possible for someone to edit their picture first, apply a watermark then submit it. We should also be wary of what information we provide on those trusted platforms. If they ask too much info then we should think twice if it's really safe to comply. For me, a valid ID, complete name and address are already enough to complete the KYC requirement.
3325  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎥 YouTube Overview event for $10 000|🚀 BFG Listing Anniversary on: July 22, 2022, 01:02:13 PM

I think out of my own experience in other projects, if they refuse to do so, Binance will not accept them, and they will have to make an exception in Betfury, because Binance is one of the most important Exchanges that exist and it would be stupid to reject an opportunity like that. , and I can say that if they reject it, the token holders will have a great deption, and it is very possible that they will make a massive dump and the token will never be recovered, this happened to a project that precisely because of the devs who did not want to give their identity the project went to hell and was never recovered, so I think this should not be an impediment to block the future of a great token.

I don't know the exact requirements what are needed to get listed on Binance but if they require ID proof and the Betfury team refuses to give that, than that is just stupid from Betfury. I think everybody realizes the importance of getting on Binance and from what I last read if that Betfury is still working on it but it will require time.

Yes, I go with your point it's really something stupid if by chance Binance gives this coin a chance and just by that kind of requirement the team are not willing to provide, unless there's something really special that happen to this coin and Binance will just add it up even without asking anything out from the team.

Listing is also depends on how demanding the project was, the exchange will not waste time not to take advantage of transactions fees.

As far as I know, binance also requires some amount as listing fee. They didn't disclose how much it was but according to the link below, it can be any amount as long as the team behind the project is comfortable with it. There are also some tips there that maybe can help betfury team to work with binance to list their coin on their platform.

3326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 22, 2022, 07:42:43 AM
Anyway, the bet won easily so I couldn't help but feel like I should've taken out the loan... Sad

As much as possible, never take a loan just because you have a source of guaranteed win on a sportsbook. You just only win once and you already feel like it is your ticket to become a millionaire. Test your source for atleast 10 times with your own money and come back here to tell us its result. You're just digging your own grave if you really feel that you should take a loan just to gamble it.
3327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where is real pumps ? on: July 22, 2022, 06:18:23 AM
Real pumps where ?
100%-700%+ pumps ?

We are in bear market so this is not likely to happen anytime soon.

Btc and eth main cpins are good lomg term profit and u invest but we need income every day so where is the daily 300%-1000% profits ?

Did you really experience that kind of daily profit in trading? Even if you trade shitcoins which that gain is possible, it's impossible for someone to spot which coin will pump like that consistently.

Any better exchanger then binamce ? For this?
Binance dont give us enough pumps

Like I said, we are in bear market so don't expect for crypto to go parabolic like what happened last year during bull run. Binance is currently the biggest exchange so if the same coin will pump on a different exchange, I'm sure the price of that coin will quickly follow.
3328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2022, 05:10:27 AM
What do you think will be the bottom for Bitcoin, from which it will begin to recover? Another question is whether now is the best time to invest or whether waiting for more dump is advisable.

No one can answer your two question. It's like predicting if there will be a storm coming tomorrow or not. What you can do during this bear season is just to accumulate as much as you can to prepare for the next bull cycle. With the economic crisis going on, I don't think we've already hit the bottom and crypto will start to recover soon. Bear market has just started and usually last for more than a year.
3329  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: July 22, 2022, 04:23:04 AM

3330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: July 22, 2022, 03:19:33 AM
With gambling this happens out of statistics and information gathered relative to the players and the teams involved. With Trading this gets completely associated with the market movements and the prediction connective to the past years.

You only pertained to a specific type of gambling which is sports betting. It is very different from slots, baccarat, and other type of games you can find on a casino or gambling website that heavily relies on luck in order to win.

Trading can also be considered gambling for me if someone trades without enough knowledge. Like some people that do leverage trading just because it can give you huge return. They don't realize how risky it is and how quick they can lose money with just small volatility.
3331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't get your Bitcointalk account "phished" (Desktop/Laptop) on: July 22, 2022, 02:38:00 AM
Anything else I should know?

Phishing attempts are not just in the form of url links. Some can be a form of email message saying that your account like for example bank account is being locked and needs you to verify your information to avoid it. Banks will never ask for your private information via email, if you think it's legit then it would be better to go to their physical branch near your place.

Enabling multiple layer of security like 2fa will also help your account to be more secure. If you accidently click on a phishing link, the hacker can't easily access your account as it needs a verification from your device or email first.

3333  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 17, 2022, 11:10:48 AM
Contrary to Op, I have the same impression too. The pendamic period made people who are majorly offline begin to shift grounds to online, including business.

I saw a video before that a food store that only sells on a sports stadium learned that their business has still a lot of room to grow. If not because of pandemic, they wouldn't know that they have more potential customers if they market their product online. When they promoted it and got popular, the owner said it helped them a lot to survive the pandemic and not close his business.
3334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 17, 2022, 09:13:02 AM
How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing

I don't believe in such practices that some religion do to keep away from bad luck. Whatever ritual you do, if your not lucky that time then there is no one to blame. If you are to win some amounts that day, your belief has nothing to do with it but instead it is your fate that it will happen. You'll just end up being disappointed if you follow too much rituals and still not able to win anything.
3335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: July 17, 2022, 08:10:51 AM
the cons, how strong our emotional controls in facing this current marketin which very unpredictable.

If you've experience a bear market already before, you will easily overcome the tempt of selling under this current market condition. You know that it will go up again and all you need to do is ignore the fuds and accumulate as much you can before this market cycle ends. If those big personalities are buying then this is also an opportunity for small investors to become a millionaire on the next bull run.
3336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Have Donated My Campaign BTC to buy Laptop for Practical Classes on: July 17, 2022, 07:18:54 AM
I've been following your previous threads and all I can say is continue to be a great advocate for bitcoin and blockchain technology. It's very rare for someone to use his own money to educate those young children, wishing you more strength so you can teach more students in coming school years. Let's hope that someone there will follow your footstep and continue what you did for the future generations.
3337  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do we spot the crypto bottom? on: July 17, 2022, 05:20:04 AM
If people can spot the bottom then people will stop buying a crypto and just wait for the price to crash which is very impossible. Instead of waiting for the bottom, why not do DCA or dollar-cost-averaging. Divide your investment to many portions like 3 to 5 and set a target price to where you want to buy. By doing this, you also reduce the risk of losing your investment instantly in a single dump.
3338  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin soon returns to $25K - $30K on: July 17, 2022, 04:27:56 AM
We are in a bear market right now so if price reaches that in the coming weeks I expect to have more selling pressure. It's too early to say that bull run will begin again because of the threat of recession and inflation rate keeps rising so more people would liquidate their assets to survive in the economic crisis that many countries are currently experiencing. If price reaches those soon, it could be a good time to take profit or cutloss and wait for the market to dump again.
3339  Other / Archival / Re: Most crypto-friendly economies in the world on: July 17, 2022, 03:02:56 AM
El Salvador makes a good regulations with regards to Bitcoin adoption, its just that this topic tackles every field starting from the regulations up to the adoption of people and using it from day to day basis. The countries on a top list are very friendly since many establishments acknowledge Cryptocurrency and in El Salvador, they are just starting with this one. My country is not on the list as well but I can tell that we are also a crypto friendly, its just that many people are still hesitant to adopt.

I'm also surprised that Japan isn't on the list even though they are one of the most advance country in terms of technology. But I think criteria for choosing crypto-friendly economy on OP is for countries where their government acknowledge the use crypto as a form currency or investment and people there are more educated about it. Even if the country that we live is not on the list, the OP is already a good start that other countries will adopt cryptocurrencies soon.
3340  Economy / Economics / Re: Your coins on CEX may be at risk this bear season on: July 17, 2022, 02:10:35 AM
Your privacy matters a lot always use a non- custodial wallet and save yourself the stress.

Using a non-custodial people is really better for holding cryptocurrencies but there are people who still choose to keep them on CEX because they are afraid to lose the seed phrase of their wallet and not able to recover the assets anymore. We know that there are some investors who are only in for profit, they don't bother transferring it to other wallet because they are confident of the exchange's reputation.
