Death penalty has its pro and con but I think it has little effect on reducing crimes. Though it does help reducing cost spent on prison. What do you guys think? Is there alternatives to punishing crimes?
It is since a lot of criminals are confident they will not be caught since they are being backed up by someone close to the one with power. Death Penalty is a sin when you based it on the bible but we can't just free this people since they will just commit again these crimes. I am not saying that all the people who commits a crime will be doing it again, there are some that are regretting they've done that and there are some who are itching to do that again especially to people whom they hate. |

It is really difficult to get merit not only for jr. member but also to everyone here because even there were a lot of quality posts, they were not merited maybe because the post was not recognized or read by users since there a lot of other posts in the forum. I think the best that we can do is to try very hard to make a quality post that can be recognized by many readers or users.
I think I know the threads that you are talking about since most of them are mega threads in the Bitcoin Discussion and Economics Section. A lot of posts there are not being read by the members since most of them are not really a good posts and already being said by the recent posts. I think if you will be posting there every now and then, be sure not to post on what the campaign managers call "megathreads". There is a lot of other sections here you can post where you can gain merit. |

If the bounty manager gives merit to those listed in campaigns is it better that they could post reviews of participants and distribute merit orderly posters but not all recieve merit,Especially in short time post not fixed well.
Sadly, there is a lot of Bounty Campaign managers and most of them are not checking their members posts the reason it is the most reason of spams and shit posts because the members do care only on fulfilling their maximum posts and do not care on how they are doing their posts. I personally find most of them come from Altcoin bounties and not campaigns from the Services section as most campaigns paying out in BTC have better campaign managers that actually do their job and thoroughly look through posts. Merit is completely opinion-based which is good and also bad, and it'll take a bit more time for it to work correctly, if it ever will. We'll see soon enough whether or not Merit is actually a viable system. People constantly forget the system's only been out for about a month. It's not completely set in with everyone yet. Well, in my case I call the campaigns from Services Signature Campaigns and the one in the altcoin thread is the Bounty Campaigns. I know it is confusing and I am sorry about that. I'm kind of used to that terms since I am a Member rank. |

OK, after using the forum for a couple of weeks, it is enough clear (probably for everybody) that the merit system does not work.
I understand the admins have decided to implement this feature to reduce the spam but has totally freazed all people ranks and also created a parallel market where people on telegram have started to sell their merit for money (that is worst than the account farming etc.).
It seems that you know something about it. They are abusing the new system hence reporting them to the admin will give them the punishment they deserved. If their ranks freeze, I think the problem there is their posting quality and not the system. If the spam posts is been reduced, then I think the new system is working fine. Also, if we want to say more, I cannot understand why we receive just 1 merit every 2 merits distributed: this means that the more the system goes on, the less merits people have to distribute to other users.
But I guess the more you get, there will be a lot of merits to be given and that will be equivalent to spam posts that you give merit into someone even they don't deserve it since you have a lot of them, right? I have understood that some people have the possibility to give merit for post because have like a "source" of new merits (please correct me if I am wrong) but in the various national sections of the forum no one knows who they are and according to which rules they release those merits.
You have a point since in our local thread, there are only some people that are releasing or giving their merit due to the fear of being banned because they thought that if they give some merit to someone, they might be red trusted for that which is not really true. Though, it is their merit and they can use it however they want to. In the end, the system needs many improvements, I hope the admins will hear our suggestions and try to improve the platform as much as it is possible.
Every system needs an improvement but the system is still new and we need a little more time to consider that it needs to be improved or not, for now, let's just see what will happen. |

I am a bit disappointed here since the member with the high rank are the one gaining some information from the lower ones, Newbie to be exact. I know that all of these Newbies are not new to Crypto Currencies but as a Sr. Member, you must know the in and outs of these forum especially these kind of ways to earn in Airdrops. I've known these since I am a Jr. Member but I am not joining them since I am also afraid of being scammed and I have my own way of earning some.
BTW, it is a great thread and I think these might help other members of these forum especially our countrymen who are wanting to start their way here in the world of crypto currency.

Actually all of us have high possibility to earn and gain merits, but it depends to us if how our how many people are attracted to our quality of post. Sometimes they were need to give suggestions and opinions or else they were need to make creative post to gain high amount of merits from the other users.
It's interesting you got 3 merits for this post and I still don't get what you want to say in it... Being a good speaker doesn't mean you deserve a Merit. This guy/girl deserves a merit since he/she is saying something that is great that maybe so great he can't put it into words. Well, you don't need to pay attention to your merit but to your posts that you need to post to gain some merits. |

Spamming and Flooding posts will not stop as long as there are bounty campaigns here, it is not that no once can spam now but it is reduced due to the requirements of having a merit to rank up. now peoples here in the forum to improve their post, but only a few members are got merit from other,
There is a lot of people here that are trying to make their "quality post" but still not being merited, it will take time for them to received a merit, just be patient. I think this system only allows to Moderator, who can give merit in the quality post when they are verified.
I am not a moderator but I do get some merits to my post since I am spending my time constructing them. Consider that. because I say someone gives merit in bounty post

kung ayaw nila po e share yung merit nila yung mga merit din nila mag dedecay pag hindi nila gagamitin hindi ko po alam yung 1:1 ba ang decay sa merit. Magdedecay talaga ang merit nila basta nadiscover ng mga moderators na hindi natin ito ginagamit. Sa pagkakaalam ko, hindi naman 1:1, ang mawawala lamang ang ang iyong mga sMerit.

Maganda yang naisip mo kabayan ako rin nag bibigay ng free merit. Pansin ko rin maraming pinoy pero iilan lang ang nagbibigayan pero may dahilan siguro sila lalo nat may nagrereport. Kung ikaw nagiisa lang, kahit anong ganda ng post mo walang magbibigay ng merit maliban sa merit sources. Malaki na ang 1 or 2 merits na makukuha where in fact, pag maganda ang post is makakuha man lang ng 5. Nagbibigay, kakaunting katao lang naman, Karamihan, reserba ang merit sa ibang account or mga kaibigan. Kaya kung wala kang kakilala, walang mangangahas magbigay ng merit sayo. It seems nga na malaki na yung 2 merits, at salamat sa mga nagmerit sa post na ito dahil nadadagdagan yung smerit ko everytime na may nagmemerit saken. Maganda naman ang ganitong protocol nyo sir sa bigayan ng merit pero alam naman natin na ang mga kababayan natin hindi nagbibigay nito ngayon kasi mababawasan din sila at naghahabol ng merit but i think sa mga legendary na kababayan natin kung makaka kita sila ng mga thread na quality at post ay magbibigay yan basta need lang natin tlga ng maayos na pagpapaliwanag sa mga kada ginagawang post dito sa forum na ito. Salamat sa mga ganitong comment sa thread na ito. Pero for clarification, Hindi po nababawasan ang Merit mo kapag nagmerit ka ng iba, baka may nakakamisunderstand po ehh. Maganda yang na isip mo sir, tayong mga pinoy ay mag bigayan tayo ay mag tulongan, dapat palitan lang tayo ng merit points pag bibigyan mo ako bibigyan din kita syempre karamihan kasi satin hindi alam kung papano mag send ng merit points, dapat ipaalam natin para tayo tayo na lang ang mag tulongan. Suggestion ko lang sa merit system na moderator ng forum na lang sana ang magbigay ng smerit para patas ang laban para sa lahat.
Sa tingin ko hindi naman natin kailangan ipilit na maging sources ang mga Moderators natin. They're job is just to moderate the posts here, if you are talking about being unfair sabihin mo yan sa mga members dito sa forum lalo na dito sa local thread. Napakaraming interesting and quality posters dito sa local thread pero kokonte ang nagmemerit, iniipit nila yung mga sMerits nila dahil gusto nila sila lang makikinabang nun. Kasi yung iba ay mayroong madaming account na ginagamit ay pede nyang magamit pang merit sa ibat iba nyang account. At yung iba naman ay magkakakilala or gumawa ng groups sa labas ng forum at para sila lang ang magbibigayan ng merit. At yung iba naman ay nagbebentahan ng merit.
Post mo yung mga groups and accounts nang sinasabi mo sa Meta, if you know it, then I think you can prove it. That is abusing of the new System and bawal yung ginagawa nila. Tsaka halata naman sa isang account kung nagmemerit siya sa sarili niyang accounts, pwede mong icheck sa merit niya kung sinu ang nagsesend ng merits sa kanya, kung paulit ulit or malaki yung minemerit ng isang account sa kanya, possible abuser yun. |

Forums are being filled with speculation, almost all topics that appear lead to falling bitcoin prices, whether this will continue, this is the right time to buy, blah blah blah. Come on, the storm must pass, let us focus on the positive topics instead of continuing to discuss this 50% decline. Start talking about the positive news from Singapore deputy, bitcoin that has gone up 20% today and others. Think positive and positive things will come.
If you think of it, this is a bit ironic. People are starting to get "negative" on the dumps that is happening but even there is a lot of negativity to what may happen or what they will do, the price still are recovering. We just don't need to be positive, we also need to invest and then we HODL. |

I hope that this will be sustained, but my fear is that there is no good news that would potentially keep prices up.
I am not really amazed by this since Bitcoin is doing the same movement every year. I think I will be amaze if that price immediately rose up to a new ATH this week or this month. |
