3341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US DOJ Calls Bitcoin Mixing ‘a Crime’ in Arrest of Software Developer on: February 20, 2020, 07:15:22 PM
Mixers conceal the origins, that's true, but I don't think that 'obtained illegally' is something that always applies to Bitcoin. In countries where Bitcoin is banned mixers can be considered as money laundering, I suppose, but if a person obtained Bitcoin without going against any regulations by, say, buying it with an official salary, I don't see how mixing it afterward would make it money laundering.
The noble cause of mixers are well documented in this forum and the idea of a country banning BTCitcoin and the citizens using mixers to protect themselves to avoid legal trouble is the noble cause but the problem is that if you are attaining a tainted coin through the mixer then you might get into trouble in the future, so there is a fine line and majority of the hacked coins are mixed through mixers and if you get those coins then you might get into trouble at a later time and that is the biggest issue i see with mixers.

When you were a kid in school, you gamble in your exam when you didn't know the answer. Should I mark option A or B or C?
I never gamble in exam and even during my Engineering entrance examination 18 years back you will not pick and choose because there are negative points for wrong answers Wink.

You gamble in your career path, your spouse, your children's education, literally everything that is unknown.
I choose the path i want and never gambled on that aspect too, spouse i selected because she was my girlfriend and got married but it ended sadly, so you can call that a big gamble in life but my kids education, i will not force them, which ever field they are interested in they will select those options and if you are choosing a career that you are interested in you will be successful in life.

But it doesn't involve money, sir? You gamble in your purchasing and investment decisions as well.
You can call stock investment and any form of investment as gambling but i call it educated gambling where we can predict the outcome depending on the performance of the company and the global financial market.

Thank you for reading, let's be more positive and tell me a funny/interesting story about your gambling experience here. Gambling should be for fun, not for getting rich.
Gambling is always fun and making money is a fools errand.
The fun encounter i had was in primedice while using seuntjie bot, i misconfigured the auto bot and the starting bet was 0.05BTC and ended up winning over 15BTC until i realized the mistake and ended the bet i could not believe my luck, i could have burned my 1BTC deposited instead ended up winning Cheesy.

I seriously do not know the actual situation in Afganisthan, whatever information I have is based on news coming out of that country, which states that the security situation is not good. As you mentioned US troops will be moving out of the country and it will become a real problem then how can an international team come to play in such a situation.
There is nothing much to know, they are a war torn country for decades and now they have built stadiums with the help of India i believe and they are playing their home game in Indian grounds which is evident by the recent series against West Indies and no one will dare to tour a country like that and the government cannot guarantee any security either like Pakistan is doing right now.

^^ Update on Indian pacer, Ishant seems match fit as he took part in Net-session. Now there is big chance of him playing in the upcoming test.
If Ishant Sharma is not fit to play they will include Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami along with Jasprit Bumrah completes the fast bowling line up and they might play two spinners in Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin and there are reports coming that Rishabh Pant might replace Wriddhiman Saha and if that is the case we might see some dropped catches Cheesy. The pitch might help the fast bowlers in the beginning but then it might help the batsman as per the pitch reports and hence toss will be an important factor.
3345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 20, 2020, 01:24:30 PM
I think what we should pay attention is on how Fury were able to stand up after many knock down and still fight like he was winning the fight.
Fury is strong, he can sustain the power of Wilder, but according to post above, Wilder that time had hand injury, maybe that is the reason?
Tyson Fury is the only boxer who got up after getting a full power punch from Deontay Wilder and then come up and dominate the rest of the round, i am not aware of the hand injury and Deontay Wilder never claimed that he was injured during that fight.

Fury is a natural heavyweight, while Wilder looks like he gained muscles to be in that division. That is why Fury survived that two KO's.
Deontay Wilder just weighs around 212 pounds when they fought Tyson Fury the first time and Deontay Wilder has the power to knock out anyone in the heavyweight division and he is regarded as the hardest puncher in history and his knockout of Luis Ortiz was brutal and that was not even a clean punch to the chin and yet he was unconscious. No one doubts the power of Deontay Wilder.

In this fight Tyson Fury will be coming in heavy than the first fight and he changed his coaches and from what he says he will be looking for knockout Wilder from the start, the first fight Fury was able to manage the distance and this time i am expecting him to attack and make this a dirty fight, either way it will be a great contest for the fans.

~snip
I haven't watched the fight yet because I am busy starting that day and a couple of days because my wife is in the hospital because she is giving birth to my second child, Well, just saying
Congrats mate.

And on with the Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz fight I am totally shocked finding the result just now, but I haven't watched the full replay of the fight just yet and maybe later, I thought that Corey Anderson would really lose because Jan Blachowicz even though he is not a pushover and can surely show some move and power I never thought that he would rise to the ring and claim the victory I think I will just look on the video and see for myself on how did Blachowic have done it.
The only doubt i had is with the age of Jan Blachowicz and his only knockout in the UFC was against Luke Rockhold who had a weak chin after Michael Bisping exposed his chin and Jan Blachowicz usually does not do well against fighters who put pressure but since this was a rematch Jan Blachowicz knew he would expose his chin and i am sure he drilled the knockout combination many times and Corey Anderson looked like he was slow, he threw a high kick that missed by a long mile and then he was not the same fighter, i am sure he strained something and so is the reason he was slow and got knocked out after that.
3347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE CEO goes on CNN , attacks Bitcoin on: February 18, 2020, 11:07:48 PM
People are still pointing out at the Chinese mining farms to create a false image around it, as if Bitcoin is controlled by the Chinese government. They'll just keep doing that, because they have money and they have the influencing power. So many false ideas are contoured around BTC, but a simple search is more than enough to find whether it's true or false. And giving XRP and Ripple a few searches is also enough to know why you should never listen and give audience to their spokesperson, CEO of Crapple.
People always like to change the narrative, one thing is true that the majority of the mining farms are in China but that does not mean that they control the network and that is the false narrative he centralized Ripple CEO wants to convey,

Ripple's sitting in a shit ton of money thanks to their XRP shitcoin. Remember, just a bit more than 10 days ago they've released another 100,000,000 XRP. There you go, $30M out of nowhere. Imagine Satoshi having 500kBTC and randomly releasing 10kBTC every month. Trustless payment system? What a joke Smiley
This happens only in centralized shit coins like these, no consensus nothing, they can add anything they want and hence i would have less trust in these coins as you never know whether they will sustain in the next ten years.

Of course they're giving him +20 minutes of airtime. He's their man, Ripple is the company sustaining the digital fiat. Or, in other words, digital shit. I could invest in some random 2000th shitcoin from CoinMarketCap and it'd be the same thing as investing in XRP or fiat.
BTCitcoin is not a centralized coin with a CEO and hence we do not have a popular voice now, earlier we had Roger Ver who speaks on behalf of the community and once he joined the other faction we have no voice to represent in the media.
3348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 16, 2020, 04:06:20 PM
There is no way England could loose this match now, South Africa dropped some catches in the field and that is not going to help them, if they want to win matches they need to step up their fielding standards, at one point of time they were the epitome of fielding standards but now i am seeing many dropped chances by their fielders and Eoin Morgan played a match winnings innings after a long time as he was scoring boundaries with ease and now they won the series and all the matches were really close and entertaining.

England won the match with 5 balls to spare.

Good news for Dhoni fans!!
The cricketing legend will be back in action from March 1st as he gets into CSK mode. People who thought he might not come back you can read this
There is no doubt that Dhoni will be playing in the IPL and the doubts remains whether he will be in the T20 World cup team and if Dhoni can perform well in the IPL edition then there is no way that the selectors will put him in the side line, Dhoni took home the inaugural T20 World Cup with an inexperienced team and this is the last opportunity to give him a fair farewell by picking him in the T20 World Cup team.
South Africa and England playing for the series and this will be another tightly contested match considering the series is on the line.

I am picking Corey Anderson to win via Decisions 2.50 but Jan Blachowicz is not easy to finish but this fight is a tough one for Blachowicz because Corey Anderson is likely to stop your momentum and rhythm with takedowns and strikes.
This is what i was expecting after watching their first fight but it was completely the opposite and Jan Błachowicz slept Corey Anderson with a perfectly timed left hook in the very first round and Jan Błachowicz immediately called out Jon Jones who is ring side and we might see Jon Jones defending his title against Jan Błachowicz.

This is the first time i saw two disqualification in a fight card Michel Pereira was winning the fight against Diego Sanchez but the illegal blow gave the win to Diego Sanchez and that was the case with Rodrigo Vargas who was dominated the fight till he fired the illegal blow and Brok Weaver was given the victory.
Crazy fights with two disqualifications and Jan Błachowicz winnings by knockout in the first round which i did not expect.
3351  Economy / Economics / Re: $900K worth of counterfeit U.S. currency seized on: February 14, 2020, 07:18:31 PM
I don't think there's a connection between the corona virus and seized counterfeit cash aside from both originating in china. Totalitarian regimes have a history of testing chemical and biological weapons on their own citizenry. That could explain the corona virus outbreak if it was indeed intentional.
If China was testing their biological weapon they could have already sorted out and contained the situation by now, till now they have not contained the situation and if it was an experiment it would have been sorted out already.

It may also explain ebola outbreaks in africa. It could imply a depopulation agenda is being pursued and from time to time biologically engineered pandemics are being tested under real world conditions for contagion spreadability and fatality rates.
Not sure about the truth of these situation but it is a possibility that those were orchestrated.

Quinton de Kock is taking on the England bowlers and he scored his fastest half century in just 18 balls and have already smashed seven sixes and they had a really great opening partnership and if they can maintain that and not loose much wickets then they will be able to chase the score and David Miller must stay till the end for them to chase this score. Chasing a score above 200 runs is always difficult but with the flying start they got they can win the match, either way it will be a close match.
3353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 14, 2020, 05:51:24 PM
Time to move on guys.  Let's just hope Reyes gets an immediate rematch...  I kinda doubt that's gonna happen tho.  Jones' next fight will be the winner the next event...
I am also not expected an immediate rematch for Reyes and in the fight i am expecting Corey Anderson to win the fight because he won the first fight against Jan Błachowicz and i am expecting the same this time around and i was impressed with the last fight of Corey Anderson against Johnny Walker.

My prediction for the event are.
Macy Chiasson vs Shanna Young: Macy Chiasson
Corey Anderson vs Jan Błachowicz: Corey Anderson

There are some old generation fighters in this card like Diego Sanchez (41 fights), Tim Means (41 fights), John Dodson(31 fights) and Jim Miller(44 fights) which means a combined fights of 157 fights which is really crazy and taxing on their body and i have no idea how they will perform.
3354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 14, 2020, 05:25:53 PM
South Africa was able to pick up the England wickets but they were not able to control the England batsman to score freely and the strike rate is over 8 till now and Ben Stokes still in the crease and they can put up a good total in this match and South Africa is confident about chasing anything below 170 runs and so is the reason they got the toss and elected to field as they are confident on chasing.
3355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy only bitcoin or take chances in altcoin casino? on: February 14, 2020, 03:54:41 PM
If for example in a few years, 5btc becomes worth 1 eth them you'll still have 1 eth from now...
I am not seeing a situation like this even in the distant future.

A lot of this depends on how much risk you're willing to take and also how likely you think bitcoin is to come out on top over the years (not just in 2020).
If you invest in BTCitcoin well before the fork then you have already taken the risk to invest in the long run which means you hold major forks and if that is the case there is nothing to worry and despite saying that only BTCitcoin will come out on top rather than any other alt coin in the market.
3356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 14, 2020, 02:42:34 PM
Indian test squad for NZ series lacking a good experienced opener,I guess there will be some changes in the batting order due to this mistake while picking squad.Pujara played well and also vihari and India didn't played very bad since they are almost par with the average first innings score on that ground. And its only 3 day warm up match so we can't expect long innings like 5 day matches.
You cannot judge by the performance of warm up games, they need some time to get familiar with the conditions and India has some good Test players and the middle order is strong on paper and if they can execute that then it will be an entertaining match and both sides will be having quality fast bowlers and only at the day of match we will know about the pitch but i am expecting them to cut the grass as India have a good fast bowling line up.
3357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 14, 2020, 01:55:21 PM
they can dominate the game if boundaries gets slightly bigger let's say 70- 75m
The boundaries should be minimum 75m if not even the miss hits would go over the rope, earlier if there is a top edge a batsman would loos their wicket but now a days a top edge will go over the rope for six and for the spinners even if you miss the line of the ball and turn you could score a six runs if you put enough power and we are seeing the transition with the way the batsman approaches the game especially for T20, they just like to power the ball out of the ground and we have a few classic players and ten years from now it will be hard to find Test caliber batsman if it continue like this.

Today we have South Africa and England and England will look to win the match to level the series after messing up the first T20, hopefully it will be another entertaining match.
3358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 14, 2020, 11:08:07 AM
Indian pacers (Ishant, Shami, Bumrah.etc) will perform on green pitches. But the problem is with the batsmen. During the past, none of the batsmen (apart from Virat Kohli) have performed consistently on pitches that are supportive of pace bowling. And the performance of spinners on such surfaces have been pathetic as well. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal may be better when compared to Ravichandran Ashwin in this regard, but even their bowling has been below par.
If Rohit Sharma returns to the squad then it will strengthen the batting line up as KL Rahul is in good form and if Virat Kohli can chip in with the runs then India can be a challenge as they have the fast bowlers to trouble any batsman in a good pitch and the spinners might not be that effective but India will play on spinner and the toss will be between Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja and i wont be surprised if they play four premier fast bowlers if it is a green surface.
3359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't surge past 11k, your thoughts... on: February 14, 2020, 09:54:28 AM
Bitcoins all time high of this year is all set to stop according to the indication, there was a massive pump from the last week which crossed $800 in a week was really amazing from BTC. Here I will share a link where it clearly shows that BTC won't go beyond 11k.
The article does not says that the BTCitcoin market will not cross the $11k valuation but it says that there is a major resistance at that point and that is the case with any market and if the trend increases and we see a huge inflow of funds then it will easily cross the resistance and hence it is not a big deal and you cannot really predict when the resistance will be broken but with the halving coming up i am expecting the market to gain momentum in the coming months.
3360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 14, 2020, 04:17:23 AM
In international cricket, the spinners are not lasting much now. Even in India, spinners such as Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are not performing well against the good teams. This is the problem in having a lot of technological advance in cricket. Super-slow motion footage is available, which allows the batsmen to study the bowling action of various spinners and thereby identify their variations.
The only reason i see  is that the ground is getting smaller and it is really hard to control the flow of runs with the rules to restrict fielders outside the circle to favor the batsman and as you said with all the video footage and  the technology we have it is easier to learn their skill set and variations and if the bowler did not change according to that then he will find it hard to cope up with the modern game.
