3341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 12, 2022, 09:24:29 PM
I think they chose to make it confidential and hidden because whenever there's a huge amount of money, it's better not to be broadcasted especially if it's going to be donated.
Those that have watched the match live and were in the crowd surely think that it's worth the bucks that they've paid for the ticket and it's relieving feeling that proceeds will be donated.
Manny is obviously making the fight last until the end of those available rounds or shall we say limits. Its really that laughable on how he had been holding up his punching power plus his speed.

Despite on being a retired boxing legend, he could still pull up the trigger but obviously for a non-boxer opponent then results are pretty obvious. In speaking about disclosing the amount that
had been generated or accumulated then i dont think that it would really be that totally needed for fans or the public to know.

Thing here is that they had said that it would really be allocated into some charity which i would be considered to be good.
Well, he aged yet he keeps on training and he can't just be totally weak at all so those punches are still there. No matter what will be the type of match is, I'm sure that he's going to pull it off whenever there's the opportunity.
It's not just some charity but actually for the Ukraine and that's why it even made it better and those that are sympathizing with Ukraine, they're happy with where their money is going and then they've been entertained with a living legend.

Wonder though was will be the numbers in terms of viewership and how much they raised in this fight.

I can't find details in the internet, so probably it was confidential but I'm pretty sure they still make money in that fight though not as big as what Mayweather made in his exhibition fights. Manny has entertained the crowd, he should continue fighting to inspire boxers that there's still life in boxing  after retirement.

3343  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: December 12, 2022, 08:26:46 PM
Risk is there no matter what we choose to do. Even in employment, the pandemic just proved that, and the same with those companies that are near where war is happening.
Indeed, risk is everywhere and we really can't assume the secureness of our job and any business around.
Yeah, before we believe the term job security but then the pandemic has happened and we're no longer secured with it even if you've been working for them for years.

Quote
You just can't be sure about anything right now and that's why you have to choose properly if you want to get employed in a company, and you should have no regrets about doing it.
Good decision making for sure will allow you to survive, with good judegment you'll be picking the right one that's fits to your needs.
You have to choose what's best for you but we're in no position that we can have everything that we want. So, at least in picking a career or job, you're about to do, make sure that you like working there and did some research on how's the working environment going onto that choice.

But still remember that there's no permanent on it whether they call you regular, they can always do a lay off.

That's reality which we cannot deny, even how hard you do the chance of being lay off can happen to you.
Yeah, so always have a back up plan because you'll never know if your company is next to have a massive layoff.
3344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 12, 2022, 07:49:25 PM
Seeing the same, in the place where i live, government officials are also participating, especially those police who love this gambling. Gamblers are free to play since they are heavily protected.

Police professionals here in our country are not allowed to participate in any form of gambling, especially in gambling like cockfighting.

That was prohibited because it might lead to self-interest and abuse. It will lead to kicking on the service permanently.

You will never see police here playing that gambling game that's why as much as possible they are hiding their identities just to play this gambling game.
Yeah, they're not allowed to participate and enter the gambling premises. Whether it's cockfighting or any type of gambling activity, it's part of the public official's oath that they shouldn't engage in any type of gambling activity or else, when they're reported, they'll take a sanction.
That's for sure but it can't be stopped if there are police officers that are still gambling no matter what the rules and oath they've taken, if they're a gambler, they'll always be a gambler.
3345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ftx who and when Will fund losses ? What's the further plan ? on: December 12, 2022, 11:00:30 AM
Yeah, I think that SBF is just trolling around and just want to give false hope to those that still have some funds left on his exchange and the FTT token.
There's nothing he can do much with the ruckus that he's made, he better admit that he can no longer anything with the fall and instead stop giving people assumptions that he can still fix this mess that he's done. Because in reality, we've seen those solutions already and that's just a thing that will never be a good solution unless he's on it just to give at least a solution and then leave and tell he already did something and it's up to the market if it will keep up or not.

we don't know where this is heading but the trust on this company, i would say has been ruined and tainted already. hard to say if investors will still have full trust on this platform. just like the luna crash, even if they tried to create another version of luna, it won't be a hit anymore from the crypto community. now, with FTT token, SBF should try harder on how to engage these potential investors to get involve with this token. he may be trying to recover but that's the hardest thing to do. create another project that can possibly redeem themselves. but people got burned so hard to ditch the possible repeat of scenario.
Well, don't question if users will still trust them because there's no way that they'll still trust FTX even it's back from the pit. They can't even return the damages to the users so it doesn't make sense to ask if they'll still have a trust on them. People have had enough with them and there's no way that they can even be trusted again. Maybe only a newbie that has never heard of them will still trust them but that's for sure that the entire world has already forsaken them and will never ever trust their hard earned money on them.
3346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 12, 2022, 09:46:23 AM
None I guess. All of them are the same and it varies to the games I play, most are into sports betting and they're not that much of a positive thing to me.
I guess we have that belief that whenever we hit a win and we'll basically say that we've got in our lucky casino because we've won, otherwise it is unlucky.
So if it's our lucky day, we'll basically gamble to the lucky casino that we think is appropriate to the day that we've got.
Well if you're gamble on sports, there's no such lucky casino since it's really depends on your decision. Each bookies has only difference with the odds, betting option, KYC rule, minimum deposit, minimum withdrawal, fees, etc. It would be different if you're the one who has a control about the events, so you could know if there's a match fixing or the team or fighter is currently injury etc, that would help you to bet.
Yeah, most of the bookies have a little difference with their odds and luck will base on how you're choosing them. It could be on how you're perceiving the upcoming games and based on your bias.
Match fixing is out of the choice, what's more with are the news about injuries and if there's a player that won't play and shall skip the upcoming game, so that's a hint to look for.
3347  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: December 12, 2022, 08:27:49 AM
The thing that makes people excited by doing anything is money, the basic human thing is like money so that you want to do anything or money is the best motivation, many cases of crime, corruption and some that start from money, but as humans we must always be realistic that money Not everything.
It is because we need to spend for our needs, food, shelter, and other things that we need to live and survive.
Money motivates all of us because we can do everything and buy anything we want when we have money. We're not going to think if we can eat within the day or if we're going to have something to pay for the bills. And that's why it's the motivation of everybody and I admire those people that are living in rural places that they've got something to eat through their farms and has free water.

I just want to say hello. In a hundred+ years they will look back on what "Satoshi" did in absolute awe. We're here now ladies and gentlemen!!!! Just appreciate it!!! We are living through one of the most important times in human history. Bitcoin is a real store of interplanetary value.
And we're part of it.
Just enjoy the ride and I still see people making fun of bitcoin as if it's comparable to the stocks and they're liking more stocks. But looking at their gains, they're all peanuts and incomparable to what bitcoin has achieved. Yeah, this is one of the greatest invention and wealth transfer in the entire history of the world.

Those who made fun of Bitcoin will be missing out.  They will only realize it when it is too late for them to get in and enjoy the benefits early supporters had enjoyed. Though sometimes it made me think that people are FUD'ing Bitcoin because they wanted the price to crash and make them accumulate at a cheaper price.  If they don't have any hidden motive, why engage with Bitcoin arguments if they don't want to buy Bitcoin at all?

I am glad we are part of these revolutionary changes happening in the current financial system.  When all things settled down and Bitcoin is triumphant, if we are still alive by that time, we can tell tales about the financial changes that happen during the early stage of BTC and be proud that we are part of these changes.
It is for sure that they will. When bitcoin was $1k, they said that it was expensive and made fun of it, it reaches $10k, $20k, and so on. Still, they've never changed.
I guess it's in their veins that they're on the stocks only and aren't willing to take a risk and they've been telling about their standards that bitcoin isn't like company stock. Well, it's true but they have to look at some basic technical things about it and how its value is being produced because they've been telling that there's no value for bitcoin.

Didn't we see this type of solution with the LUNA/LUNC debacle? Did it work? No. And that's why when into this issuing of the new tokens, it's just a

Yes, creating a new token is not a solution. we've already seen it happen in LUNA. everything is not going to work as planned. only one best option is to pay back all losses incurred. even if it takes months or even years. what is expected is not a new token that promises to provide better value. it will only happen in a matter of seconds. when the pump is finished then the new token will also be slammed to the bottom.
focus on recovering losses. not with a sickening new token scheme.

3352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: December 11, 2022, 09:49:08 PM
I don't think a horoscope is going to help you if you're going to read it when placing bets. I see that more as pure superstition. There is no reason why a horoscope should be correct. And gamblers come in all shapes and sizes. What is little money to one person may be a fortune to another. Online gambling has undergone a revolution, I dare say. Good thing Corona is almost over, otherwise the gambling world would look a lot different. Also online. No income is no money and also means no gambling.
This will always depend on the team that will play, and this kind of superstition might worth but still its not a guaranteed bet. This is still gambling and honestly, I won’t rely much on those horoscope since I focus on my own analysis and I really do my research before placing a bet, its just that there are so many surprises on this current world cup and we might continue to see more.
If bets are placed because of superstitious beliefs, they're not guaranteed. In fact, any bet isn't guaranteed a win. But it's fun to see how many do things and apply it to their bets. It's making our imagination go that far and we're connecting it with anything that we know of which is actually amazing.
It makes random thoughts become the source of our bets and how and why we'd pick those numbers.
3353  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: December 11, 2022, 09:01:44 PM
The ease of applying for an online application makes anyone will try new things that are getting a job that suits his dreams, I also often submit applications and sometimes I also follow the next stage such as interviews and so on, sometimes looking for the best is our hope.
It's hard to apply nowadays if you're just on your own, you haven't built connections and networks and this is a problem for those loners. But still, talent and skill beat that.
The situation that everyone got in had put pressure and uncertainty that this world, we don't know what may happen next and if the worst is yet to come. The same for employment we'd really never know if the company where you're staying it might be bankrupt soon or have a %+ YTD.

It is a risk but it can be worth to take, there are different opinions regarding an online application though taking the risk may change your life since there are many successful stories that you will hear about it.

Same with your opinions regarding to no assurance. Even the company you are into for a
long time can guarantee that they will stay at positive, especially now that the economy is
still in its surviving stage. A case to case and with different outcomes.
Risk is there no matter what we choose to do. Even in employment, the pandemic just proved that, and the same with those companies that are near where war is happening.
You just can't be sure about anything right now and that's why you have to choose properly if you want to get employed in a company, and you should have no regrets about doing it. Love to work for that company and you're liking the job that you have and that's why you're applying hard.

despite knowing what the result would be I still enjoyed the fight. I also liked the fact that Manny was taking it easy against DK Yoo but you can still see that the punches still hurt DK Yoo.
He's entertained and at the same time showed that he's also a professional. Well, for sure many are still upset with it but most of us are satisfied with how the match goes.
Especially knowing that the proceeds will go to the charity for Ukraine aid and that's going to give them help. More charities to come and Manny is into it.

3356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why The Goverment try to centralize Crypto Be CDBC? on: December 11, 2022, 07:24:52 PM
They're just telling that it's also crypto to their constituents but the mere fact, it's not. We can't stop the government from doing that and that's why educating everyone is a must.
The government will just have to implement this on their own and their citizens will just have to follow no matter if they liked it or not, there should be a need for them to tell that it's not a crypto.
3357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone sends you 10 bitcoin ? on: December 11, 2022, 11:12:37 AM
Well, for the sake of discussion, lets suppose someone sends you 10 bitcoins BTC by mistake. Now will you return them back ?
Morally, yes you should return them back but seeing this big money, greediness also can influence our decision.

So, everyone tells with honesty, if this ever happens in your life, what will you do ? Will you return them or will you change your fortune  Wink
10 BTC is a lot of money and even with the current bear market's price, it will settle me for good. I might be good and settled with that amount but I'm sure that it will run out if the source is unknown because I'll just spend it immediately because I didn't work for it. But with moral values, I don't know how I will return it or maybe just send it back to the sender's address. And I believe that if it's not my money, I won't touch it even though it's going to be a life-changing amount of money. It'd be good to have the money I have that came from my hard and smart work rather than have that fortune that might affect not just even my family and me through karma.
3358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 10, 2022, 10:54:15 PM
Dont try to predict Market too much.
This can't be helped, we're in a speculative market and people won't do any other thing but predict. But sometimes, you're right that there's no need to predict a lot of the market.
It's stressful and we can do nothing whatever the market shows us. So, to avoid the stressful red days of the market, just keep yourself away from the market and don't think of it a lot.
3359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does the bitcoin community currently trust Tether? on: December 10, 2022, 09:54:05 PM
Since you've said about comfortability, I'm not comfortable holding assets in USDT and that's why I don't hold any of it. And if I want to have a stablecoin, I've got another preference for it. Maybe it could be USDC, BUSD, or DAI. Yeah, the two are also centralized but that's it.
If that's just a preference, I'd rather have any of the two than to have it on USDT.
DAI is a wrapped USDC  Smiley
https://daistats.com/#/
I've been tied to that belief that it was decentralized and, didn't know that it's a wrapped USDC.

I have no reason to distrust USDT, I keep this as my trading pair for many years (BTC/USDT).
If you're just using it for trades, there's no problem with it. We're all free to use it as a pair since we're still going to take our money depending to our preference, be with bitcoin or any other preferred altcoin we do and even still USDT.
3360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Bonus Buy or Not Using Bonus Buy? on: December 10, 2022, 09:20:41 PM
They're just the same IMO, what just happened to you is that you're in total luck and you seem to see it and said that buying a bonus buy is way more profitable than the usual thing that you do without it.
But if that's an effective strategy to you and you think that you'll be able to make more through then just do it again, until you start to see that it's no longer effective anymore.
