3341  Other / Meta / Re: Merrit? This got to be a joke. on: August 09, 2018, 01:30:13 AM
I hate when people always complain about the merit system. Those kind of people are just getting pissed off because they're just a Jr. Members and can't rank up. Did you know that the merit system is just for you guys?

I know some profiles who are Jr. Members and managed to gain merits. They didn't complain any single statements about it, they're chilling around while having good contents. If you have enough knowledge about crypto and the system itself, you'll have it.

At first, I lose hope because i thought i'll be stuck in the Full Member forever but after contributing to our local board I gain my 116th merits. I help many people on my contents because it consists many information that can change individuals. Some of it are spoonfeeding and it's really a complete content but it's sad for me that some new members didn't bother to look the contents that will improve them and they just continue to shitpost on some common discussions.

There's a conclusion to every post like this, you're just ranting and feel anger about the merit system because yourself can't even get merits. I as contributor of the local board and others give merits if you're a worthy one. If you feel that you're just shitposting and against in the merit system, then don't rant about it.

Here's a basic logic, if you're here for knowledge, rank is just an optional unless you have to rank up your profile for bounties. Wink
3342  Other / Meta / Re: What everyone thinks about buying & selling merits and ranked accounts ? on: August 08, 2018, 02:33:51 AM
We already seen this kind of case about the merit system many times.
The only thing we could do is to report those accounts.

Reputation <--- This is the ultimate solution, report them and let's help each other vaccinate our community. As you can see in the forum rules, Merit farmer and account buying is strictly prohibited in this forum.

I think you also know what greed is, right? The characteristic of being Impatient means they want to earn really fast without walking in the right path of process.
3343  Other / Meta / Re: Most new accounts do not contribute anything on: August 08, 2018, 01:38:43 AM

Additional to my reply,

If you can see in the reputation section, almost of the accounts that getting red trusts are Jr. Members. There are many people creating multiple accounts that is equivalent to the stakes given in Full Member or Sr. Member on bounties.

These accounts result shitposting in the forum and spreading of toxicity in each threads and discussions.

e.g.

In signature campaign,

Jr. Member - 1 stake
Full Member - 5 stakes

Those people creates 5 accounts to match the income of the Full Member in every campaign. In our local, my goal is to diminish the bounty hunters group that abuse the bounties and send each other some bounty campaign links to gain profit. The abusive activity of bounty hunters show that they just only want money without learning any information about investments, projects and other knowledge in crypto.  Sad
3344  Other / Meta / Re: how to delete my account here? on: August 08, 2018, 12:03:44 AM
and erase all posts... wipe clean... gone?

Why delete? If you don't need it, give it to me  Wink

For what? Bounty hunting and any stuffs to gain income? Sorry for concluding very fast but as long as you have an account for gaining knowledge in here, your account is enough.

To OP,  this kind of case existed long time ago, before asking and posting a situation like this, please do search first.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1875514.0

This kind of practice avoids to create similar topics and will always make you research for the information you needed before posting in here.

Note: I found the info you need in google  Cool
3345  Other / Meta / Re: Most new accounts do not contribute anything on: August 07, 2018, 04:09:56 PM
While looking and searching spreadsheets in each bounty, I was shocked that almost half of thr participants is a Jr. Member and it's a recently created accounts.

That's the reason why I keep pushing myself reporting those accounts to avoid them earning stakes in the bounty. There's a cycle behind this shitposting scenerio, If a Jr. Member was accused as a cheater and received a Red Trust, they can easily register a new account or there are reserved accounts that is ready again to spam the discussion. As you can see, only 30% of the community who takes the discussion seriously and the rest are just typical bounty hunters who want to earn huge profit by shitposting

So while thinking a solution to this, Merit system should be updated and put some Merit requirement atleast 5 merits before reaching the Jr. Member, Hmm  Huh ?
I think the "Report to Moderator" tool is not enough because there are too many of them, Shitpost there, Shitpost here. This kind of activity is very known even in local boards.

Regarding in the bounty managers, they don't usually check the accounts of the participants to determine if it's a bounty abusers because it's really hard to manage a Bounty campaign consist of thousand participants. For example, In sylon's bounty, Since he is a good and famous Manager, many people always join to his campaign. If there's no bounty hunting, those people will not exist in this well- organized forum.
3346  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Merit abused on: August 04, 2018, 01:33:42 PM
Okay lang naman magbigay ng merits as long as yung post is magaganda naman at madaming natutulungan.

Thanks, pero soon I'll create an Ultimate Guide for all na pwedeng mabasa ng kahit sino man at matutulungan sila ng sobra.
3348  Other / Meta / Re: All bounty hunters are from Philippines?? (PROOF) on: August 03, 2018, 12:28:58 AM
This is embarrassing. Just when I thought Russians and Indonesians were the most active forum users, and here are my fellow countrymen; proactive in joining bounties. Some of them didn't even bother to post on our local board.

I checked the recent posts of each accounts that joined GCOX and I was surprised that they didn't post a single reply in the local board. The posts are located in Announcement, Bounties, Altcoin Discussion, and Bitcoin Discussion. If you're a truly newbie in this forum, the first board you will check is the Local board to ask some things to your fellow citizens unless you have a great knowledge about crypto. Sadly, some posts are not good.

Signature participants from #6 to #45, and #59 to #74 might be calling their friends or relatives.  Roll Eyes Or maybe a single user built an army. That campaign needs an eye of the hawk, and I hope coinlocket$ will investigate it.

And I'm pretty sure that the Senator didn't summon or call his fellow citizens to join that bounty.

It's true that the Senator didn't promote GCOX for the Filipinos to join the bounty. I think the reason why there are so many Filipinos on that campaign is to have a great assurance for the income. Every bounty hunters have a mindset of securing the profit they will gain right?

Then I just realized, why are some people always pointing out that the race is just a full of bounty hunters? If there's a problem regarding about the bounty hunting you can easily report them. There's a reputation section, you can post all the multiple accounts you will found. It's a common issue, that's why I only stated the reason why there are so many Filipinos in the GCOX since the OP's point is about that.
3349  Other / Serious discussion / Re: A Serious Mathematical Problem - Cards PROBABILITY on: August 02, 2018, 11:47:24 PM
Do you put back the each card after you draw it or not?

Nah, it won't. If you are playing poker then it will look like that, the difference is, 9 cards will draw.

I am not that good at math, but maybe you should check the numbers at http://www.durangobill.com/Poker_Probabilities_8_Cards.html (9 cards, no wildcard)

Just I can't tell how good those numbers also are.  Angry
I made a small test program calculating the odds to get the chance for (2 pairs) OR (3 of a kind) OR (Full House) OR (4 of a kind)
For hand size 5 I get the same result as the sum from http://www.durangobill.com/Poker_Probabilities_5_Cards.html, 7.03%
For hand size 9 the sum is 55.46% and my result is 67.39%  Angry

Another idea could be to try and count the number of possibilities for "worse than 2 hands" and see from there. However, I hope that its main page (http://www.durangobill.com/Poker.html) gives you some details and help you find out if your numbers are good.

Thanks man! My answer is correct, it's 77%.

You should add all the probability of getting 1 pair, 2 pairs, 3 pairs until 4 pairs. Why? because the problem stated "atleast" means there are chances that 2pairs-4pairs will show when we draw 9 cards. This is my Prelims Exam so I just wanted to know if my answer is correct and yeah my solution is right!

This is a proof also that I studied and memorized it until I got home  Wink  Because some people might judge me.

PS: LOCKED TOPIC

If you're familiar with the recent fight of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, the Matthysse vs Pacquiao, fighting for the WBA World Welterweight Title.
During the Face-off (Weigh in) of Matthysse and Pacquiao, that's the first time I heard about the GCOX because they've announced it on tv. The announcer stated that it's a cryptocurrency so I searched and found out that this project is supported by Pacquiao. GCOX is the world’s first global celebrity cryptocurrency exchange, has signed Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao as its first boxing celebrity.

This is the reason why there are many Filipinos in the bounty of GCOX, because of him. Filipinos always support Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao on every fights since his battle with Morales and others. Some people around the world also liked him especially when he had a fight with Mayweather Jr,.

Pacquiao is also a Senator in the Philippines so don't be surprised if there are many Filipinos in the GCOX because Filipinos really like and support him. It's also broadcasted in national channels so there are many people already familiar with it.

If that is the case, kawawa naman yung programmer dahil pwedeng accused lang siya for not securing the system of garena. Sorry, but this isn't a good idea. Hitting 300 good reports isn't that hard.

Yes, of course! It is possible to send 300 reports in 1 day!

Then we need to increase the number to get the badge. How about 30k report as the first milestone for the badge?

I think 300 is enough, it's possible for those people who has the knowledge on what posts to report. But if you're not quite good on reporting some shitposts then maybe it'll give you many bad reports.

It's just an additional badge or maybe an additional challenge for us to diminish all the shitposters in the forum. For me, the green trust is the greatest reward to achieve by each of us.
3355  Other / Serious discussion / A Serious Mathematical Problem - Cards PROBABILITY on: August 01, 2018, 09:35:50 AM
If you will draw 9 cards, what is the probability of having "at least" 2 pairs?

I just want to clarify my answer if it's correct.
I use combination to solve the probability

My solution:

P = P of 1 pair + P of 2 pairs + P of 3 pairs + P of 4 pairs
P =

(13C1)(4C2) x (12C7)(4^7)  +   (13C2)(4C2)(4C2) x (11C5)(4^5)   +
 (13C3)(4C2)(4C2)(4C2) x (10C3)(4^3)   +   (13C4)(4C2)(4C2)(4C2)(4C2) x (9C1)(4)
_______________________________________________________________________________ ______
52C9
P = 77%

What's yours?

I hope there are mathematicians who can answer my probability problem. I'm struggling on this problem and makes me think all the day to look out the right answer.
3356  Other / Meta / Re: Application For Merit Source [Philippines Local Board] on: July 31, 2018, 01:39:24 PM
I want to know if the application of Mr. crwth is accepted since we really need a merit source on our local. My fellow members in local keep posting some good and informative contents that will really boost up some newbies to be an efficient member of the community. This is a serious problem, because of the lack of merits, they revising some contents from the past that is being locked.

Merits also symbolize as being the original or the most amazing content. The more the merits, the best content that is created for that kind of topic. This kind of symbolization avoids all the revising or creating version 2 of some existing topics.

So I'll help Mr. crwth to bump this application, I don't care to those reasons that crwth is not capable of what he's applying because of that issue about him. I know myself as a fellow member of the local that he is an effective merit source of our local. We, the people of local experienced the situation of being unable to move on that situation.

these ribbons, award from the higher ups for busting spammers.

and the last;

it feels me like naruto; shinobi reporter! i found it cool so yeah thumbs up for this.
300 good reports
1000 good reports
5000 good reports

Yes, of course! It is possible to send 300 reports in 1 day!

Possible, but not many users are willing to do it. I guess with the incentive of badges it will increase the likelihood of users that didn't report before to start too, but that's only a good thing in my opinion.

More badges can be added for higher amounts once we start seeing more people earn the current badges though.
If this is possible then i might continue my journey to report some spam posts in our community. @Welsh, I also read your guide for reporting some posts. I currently have 40+ good reports...
3358  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [PINOY GUIDE] PAANO MAGMINA NG BITCOIN???? - Building Mining Rigs 🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: July 31, 2018, 04:05:33 AM
<...>
Do we need to consider buying pc monitors if you bought and build few mining rigs? Or 1 is enough?

May kaibigan ako na bubuo sana ng mining rig at ang budget nila ay 3M which is a total fund of 4 persons. But then I doubt  that. Will they become successful? Sulit kaya?

About sa monitor depende dahil pwede mo namang gawin by server. For example, 1 monitor sa 10 mining rigs.

It will take many years siguro bago mo mabawi puhunan mo.

3359  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [PINOY GUIDE] BITCOIN MINING - Building Mining Rigs 🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: July 30, 2018, 03:21:20 PM
<...>
Thanks for appreciating my contents! Goodluck din.

<...>

Malaking tulong to for future reference lalo na newbie lang ako and wala pang masyadong knowledge about sa ganitong issues. Baka pwede madagdag about sa topic is yung di lang magandang set up or investment for mining rigs dapat may maayos din na internet connection para smooth ang pagmmining
<..>

Thanks for adding it up! Internet connection and the location ng mining rigs.

The more na mabilis ang bits per second mo, mabilis din ang connection mo sa mining, it'll end up smooth like what fries01 said. Location naman is to provide a good ventilation or air path para hindi nagiinit ang mga mining rigs natin.

3360  Local / Pilipinas / [GUIDE] PAANO MAGMINA NG BITCOIN???? - Building Mining Rigs on: July 30, 2018, 01:32:57 PM

Itong guide na gagawin ko is about rigs na pwedeng gawing pang mining ng bitcoin. Kakabili ko lang din kasi ng High-end PC so i learn something special about it kaya naisipan kong mag-share ng idea about mining. All the informations na gusto niyong malaman about mining na andito ay basics.

Ang unang mong kailangan para magkaroon ka ng mining rig ay ang;

Do the simple way here in cryptocurrency.

Another way para kumita ka ng pera is bounty hunting.

Magkano ang budget for mining rigs?

Central Processing Unit -  is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions.

Roll Eyes

Ano ba ang GPU?

A graphics processing unit (GPU) is a specialized electronic circuit designed to rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display device.

So ang GPU ay mas mabilis at mas magandang gamitin for mining dahil mas mabilis ito magperform ng algorithms para makapag generate ka ng bitcoins.

Mga dapat mong tandaan sa pagbuo ng mining rig;

a) Graphics card

Halimbawa ng GPU;

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
Low power draw, high hash rate

Core Clock: 1,506MHz | Memory: 8GB GDDR5 | Memory Clock: 8Gbps

source; techradar

b) Processor

Halimbawa ng Processor;

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X
The absolute best mining CPU

Cores: 16 | Threads: 32 | Base clock: 3.4GHz | Boost clock: 4.0GHz

source; techradar

It slightly affects the way you run mining pero ang pinakapurpose daw talaga nito is for OS lang. Pero there are informations na nakakaapekto talga 'to, i don't have any information about proci.

c) Power Supply

Halimbawa ng PS;
Corsair RM750x
The best all-around power supply for your needs

Form factor: ATX | Capacity: 750W

source; techradar

550 W is enough na to run 1 GPU pero kung gusto mo pang magdagdag ng GPU atleast 2 or more. I recommend na gumamit ka na ng 750W or 1000W + na.

d) Motherboard

Halimbawa ng MoBo;

Asus B250 Mining Expert
The world's first 19 GPU mining motherboard

Form factor: ATX | GPU Support: 19 | Processors supported: 7th and 6th Generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron (Socket 1151) | Slots: 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16, 18 x PCI Express 2.0 x1

source; techradar

It is the output of a hash function and, as it relates to Bitcoin, the Hash Rate is the speed at which a compute is completing an operation in the Bitcoin code. A higher hash rate is better when mining as it increases your opportunity of finding the next block and receiving the reward.

So ayon, the more na mas mataas ang hash rate mas mataas ang makukuwa mong profit sa pagmimina ng bitcoin. Alam naman natin na kapag sinabing rate, it refers about speed kung gaano magcocompute ang iyong GPU ng mga algorithms and computation para magtuloy tuloy ang process mo sa pagmimina.

Syempre after building the mining rig at nakapaglagay ka na ng OS (Operating System), Windows 10 is more recommendable kaysa sa iba.

Ito naman ang mga kailangan mo for your mining rig

a) Updated na drivers and softwares

Example links;
MSI and AMD

b) Mining softwares
After mong matapos i-install ang mga kailangang drivers and other stuffs para mag work ang different devices na iinput mo sa iyong mining rig, proceed ka na sa Mining softwares.

Examples ng mga Mining softwares.

• CGMiner

CGMiner is probably the most popular and extensive bitcoin mining software. It works for mainly FPGA’s and ASICs but downloading an older version (below 3.7.2) of it will allow you to use it for GPU mining as well.

Installing CGMiner is simple. Simply extract the files to your chosen directory and you’re done. We recommend something simple like C:\Cgminer\

If you're using personal PC, pasok ka dito sa CGMiner.
Works on Windows, Linux, and Mac.

• Multi Miner

MultiMiner is a desktop application for crypto-coin mining and monitoring on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. MultiMiner simplifies switching individual devices (GPUs, ASICs, FPGAs) between crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin and Litecoin.

c) Coin Wallet

Diba sobrang common sa atin ang coins.ph na ginagamit nating wallet for Bitcoin, syempre meron ding Ether Wallet for Ethereum and other alternative coins. Ito naman ay iba;

For short, mas malaki ambag mo, mas malaki ang parte mo.

After mong mabuo lahat ito, you will proceed to Configuration and Optimization ng iyong mining rig. Syempre coding na ang kailangan mo doon. If ever na may interesado about sa bitcoin mining, kindly PM me at telegram for more basic informations. Although, di naman ako kagalingan about bitcoin mining, I tried my best to make a basic tutorial and knowledge about Bitcoin mining.

There are many tutorials naman about coding and configs in youtube, mas better kung manood nalang kayo para ma-set niyo yung mining rig niyo into solo mining or miner sa mining pool. Thank you sa mga nagbasa 'til the end of the content, If ever maraming feedback i would like to continue and study about the configuration para mas madami akong matulungan na gusto din mag mining bukod sa bounty hunting.

Note: This is just a basic knowledge about bitcoin mining, I'm not a professional but i have ideas na pwedeng pwede ko I-share sa inyo so ginawa ko 'tong topic. If ever na may alam din kayo about bitcoin mining, Please develop and spread the knowledge on this thread para ma-avoid ang mga shitposting sa ating local. Thanks!
