3361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 29, 2023, 04:46:37 AM
This Lakers vs Grizzlies game was over by halftime. The Grizzlies have given up and I don’t think any of the Lakers stars will even play in the fourth quarter. A dominant showing for the Lakers as they prove they underperformed in the regular season and are going to be a problem in the playoffs. Now we wait to see if they’re going to be playing the Warriors or the Kings next.
3362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 29, 2023, 02:40:06 AM
Looking like the Kings are going to take the win against Golden State tonight. They’ve got their biggest lead of the series with just over 4 minutes left. That means the Kings have recaptured home court advantage for game 7. The Kings seemed to overcome bad officiating all night long which makes the win that much more impressive.

LeBron is up next tonight…
3363  Other / Meta / Re: Is it better to have a place to discuss only about NFTs? on: April 28, 2023, 10:14:58 PM
There should be a forum for Bitcoin Ordinals as this is a part of Bitcoin that was recently integrated. The main board being for discussion, and a sub-board for people to promote (or even trade/advertise) their owned Ordinals. NFTs on the other hand are on other blockchains. NFTs do not truly exist on the Bitcoin blockchain, ordinals have just been dubbed as "Bitcoin NFTs" or "NFTs on Bitcoin".

I agree. Currently the only place to discuss NFTs is in the altcoin tokens section. Now that NFTs are a reality on the Bitcoin blockchain it makes sense to have a place to discuss and learn more about them. I for one think that Ordinals are a great step towards being able to bridge some of the missing functionality of smart chains to Bitcoin.
3364  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: April 28, 2023, 10:10:56 PM
It’s pretty clear at this point that our food chain is under attack. I’ve seen it locally and of course read about all the fires nationwide at various distribution and manufacturing plants. It seems the folks with the money want the rest of us eating crickets instead of cows and chickens. I have no doubt that many of us will be eating more alternative protein sources in the future.
3365  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: April 28, 2023, 06:20:25 PM
I’ve made some pretty bad bets in my time. Lately I’ve gotten into the habit of betting alongside the largest odds public bets I can find. Most of the time they pay back several thousand times the original bet. I’ve never gotten one, but who knows. Maybe one of these days I’ll make a few grand off a bet that cost a few cents and I can praise this no bet is a waste motto.
3366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 28, 2023, 06:18:56 PM
Well well well , this NBA season is quickly changing towards an epic one. Last night , Celtics finally closed the series against Hawks and they should have done that in game 5 and they are still the strongest team from East because we all saw what happened with Bucks and I can't blame them because they really tried but with some of the players really had consecutive bad days that is kinda unlucky and that is why Giannis told us if we can explain what failure means.

Tonight I do see Kings making a huge game and tie the game 3-3 in this series.

I also see Lakers having a solid game and they should win this one. However,  with Ja on a good night , Grizzlies will win.

I hope the Kings can extend the series and get their home court advantage back. Tonight is hands down the biggest game of the year for them. Would love to see it go well.

Then you have the Lakers second attempt to send the Grizzlies home. AD and LeBron both made some big promises for tonight, so it should be a great night of basketball. One of the biggest of the year for me as a Kings supporter.
3367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 28, 2023, 03:23:24 AM
Boston won and sent the Hawks home for the year. That leaves the Celtics matching up with the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the playoffs. That sort of feels like the eastern conference finals to me as I don’t think the Knicks or Heat are going to be able to beat whoever wins between the Celtics and 76ers.
3368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 28, 2023, 01:22:32 AM
Short term the chart is showing some bearish signals. Looking at the weekly chart you can see signs of a double top with lower highs. That is pretty much a death knell for short term investments. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if we smashed through $30K any time. If I were a trader relying on chart analysis though, I’d be selling here at $29,600 to buy back around $27,500.
3369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2023, 01:16:57 AM
Lots of volatility in the Bitcoin market this week. Seems like people are a bit at odds with each other over whether or not the market is going to continue rising. This is probably a good thing as too much bullishness usually leads to ugly corrections. The traders are having their moment the last week or two it seems. Lots of back and forth to profit from.
3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 28, 2023, 01:14:32 AM
^ Giannis was pretty salty in the post game interview. I can’t remember seeing him like that before. His usually sunny disposition turned into personally insulting reporters pretty quickly. Seems like he’s starting to get tired of being on a bad team.

Not even watching basketball tonight. The Celtics and Hawks doesn’t excite me. I’m hoping the Celtics finish off that series so we can get a better matchup.
3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 27, 2023, 05:10:15 AM
Hard to believe that the Bucs got eliminated, but Miami wasn’t the best team for them to match up against. I thought Bam had the best shot at containing Giannis. The East is up for grabs now. With the Warriors and Kings playing Friday along with the Lakers and Grizzlies, it looks like that will be a great night to watch some games.
3372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about what caused the flash crash? on: April 27, 2023, 12:31:27 AM
It seemed to me like it was just traders trying to get ahead of the MtGox situation. Whatever it was, it seems like that volume was swallowed up by buyers as it has nearly recovered all the way back to $30K. That shows there is still a ton of demand for Bitcoin at these levels so I wouldn’t call an end to this rally just yet.
3373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 27, 2023, 12:29:32 AM
Nice lineup of games tonight.  I'm most looking forward to the Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks game.  Even though I'm a Chicago Bulls fan and got to witness the great uprising of Jimmy Butler, it's been amazing to see how good he's done since leaving and continue to do without another super star player around him.

Also looking forward to the LA Laker versus Memphis Grizz game tonight.  I think the Laker are going to close out that series, or I guess I should say I just hope they do.

My buddy is going to the Kings game tonight. I’m jealous. If they win that is going to be insane.

The Memphis Grizzlies are looking like they don’t want to go home just yet against the Lakers. They’ve currently got their biggest lead of the series. I’m not ready to call it yet because there’s still plenty of time for LeBron to work a miracle.
3374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 26, 2023, 09:41:11 PM
You should always remember that no player has unlimited resources to gamble with.
And we're no celebrities that has got millions on bankroll and they don't even attempt to do this strategy. Or if they do, they can afford to do it as they've got a lot of money.

But then, it all goes with how much we've got even if someone who's careful has got millions ready to be gambled. It's still unsure if this is gonna be the strategy that he'll do.

Well, if you want to lose quickly, this is the way.

I imagine you’d get banned or asked to leave from casinos if you were using this strategy as well. They might let you go for a bit, but if you’re having any sort of success then I can’t see a casino allowing you to continue playing. It’s just not a good thing to be doing in general. Even when you win there are possible ways for you to still lose.
3375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 26, 2023, 09:38:45 PM
With the mtgox funds on the move the market appears to be a little spooked that distribution is going to result in a price crash. Investors apparently trying to get ahead of this love caused a price drop of nearly 10%. Very interesting to see the market so sensitive to the news cycle. I guess people really think a lot of the gox BTC is going to hit the market.
3376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 26, 2023, 03:33:55 PM
Will we see another exciting match tomorrow between the Warriors and Kings? The last four games have been very entertaining, especially the last game where the Kings almost stole a win on the road.

Which team will win tomorrow and take the 3-2 series? And for the bettors out there, who do you think will win - the Warriors or the Kings?

As per the latest injury update, D. Fox is questionable with a finger injury, but hopefully he will play.

If Fox is out the Warriors will win, if he plays I think it will be a super close game and go down to the deciding last possessions.
Even though GSW are so weak at home this season they still have the experience and the "championship mentality".

The Kings know, if they lose this once it will be a big mountain to climb to win this series.

I expect Curry to carry the heavy load and hopefully Klay can do his part as well, even though it's just game 5 and "game-6-Klay" is not in full effect yet.  Grin

It's true that without Fox, the Kings will certainly struggle as he has been very clutch for his team. I doubt there will be a Game 7 if the Kings lose in Game 5, so it's a very important game for them, and they should defend their home court. Although I believe they are a good team, the Warriors excel more in this kind of situation due to their experience and defending champion status.

Fox presence is so important with Kings and without him in the rooster for sure Warriors with complete rooster will take advantage with this. But since Warriors known to be a bad team away maybe Kings could take advantage with this and win on game 5.  To many things happen in their series so let see what will be the result since if Kings could able to win this maybe this could give a huge statement that they can still win even if Fox is not around.

Fox has already come out and said that he will be playing no matter what. The question is how effective will he be with a broken hand. I suspect we’ll get our answer very early on as to whether or not he’s going to be able to put in the same effort. I’m happy today the Kings and Lakers are both playing. Should be a good night of basketball to watch.
3377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I may sound really stupid right now, but it's what I noticed on: April 26, 2023, 03:31:53 PM
I am present in crypto space years ago and I have witnessed two bear market, and I couldn't take advantage of one because of the condition that I was into at the time, but I heard about every good and bad things about crypto.

But I am curious about something and I will like to ask you old Bitcoin OG on here .

Why is it that bad news always comes in a bear market and when we are in a bull market, all bad news about Bitcoin vanished? Are they doing this on purpose? It's always the bear market, after halving everything will disappear and some bans will be lifted, and so on...

Are we been played? Are these people toying with us, knowing that crypto will work but let's scare the hell out of them and take advantage of the fear? I can't come up with anything that makes more sense than this.

Bitcoin does have a tendency to create perfect storms quite often. No idea if these events are orchestrated to help create these peaks and valleys or if it is just a side effect as people scramble to find explanations for the price movements. All that really matters is the four year cycle though. Zoom out, ignore the news, and stick to your plan.
3378  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Crypto Great Dane goes worldwide- NEW VIDEO Alpen Coin on: April 26, 2023, 03:29:23 PM
New Alpen coin video. Invested in new camera, microphone, and software. Still working all the kinks out but definitely better than it was. let me know what you think

Glad to see you sticking with this and continuing to make videos to help get the word out about physical Bitcoin collectibles. This is a hobby that could definitely use more content and awareness by the public. I’m sure most people have no idea things like this exist. My only question is… When NastyFans?
3379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 26, 2023, 03:26:10 PM
you are so late Buddy

$31,000

$30,000

Around here we use Bitstamp, not Binance.

Bitstamp and Coinbase are the only exchanges left that didn’t close my account for no reason. I suspect that regulators are doing all they can to push crypto from the reach of Americans. I look forward to the pendulum swinging the other direction when this nonsense is finally given up. Who cares though… We’re back to pushing on $30K and faster than I’d figured we would.
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 26, 2023, 05:01:55 AM
I tried making a Moneyline parlay for all the favorites and ending their series but it's just x1.45 in total. Sadly.
Denver Nuggets versus Minnesota Timberwolves - Denver Nuggets (-10.5) I just love this Nuggets team and I know they will end it now. It will just be a matter of the spread if they can cover it.

Boston Celtics versus Atlanta Hawks‍ - Boston Celtics (-10.5) They gave one, but it's too obvious they can dominate the Hawks if they play harder. 3 times I won my Celtics bet and all the spreads were covered. I wish they will do it one more time.

Phoenix Suns versus Los Angeles Clippers - Los Angeles Clippers (10.5) - Clippers will probably lose but I want to see how far Westbrook would go trying to survive the series. The +10 should be enough to cover it if they will hustle again like in Game 4 even without Kawhi Leonard.

The money line parlay bet for all 3 favorites for today's game would have been lost already, Ice cold Trae and the Atlanta Hawk causing a major upset at the TD Garden.

Of course everyone would have expected Boston Celtics to close the series today, since the momentum was already on their side, but without Dejounte Murray, Trae Young and John Collins were able to force Celtics to a game 6, and with Atlanta Hawks having home court for game 6, this could go all the way to a potential game 7.

For the other 2 games, Clippers are already still giving the Phoenix Suns a run for their money, as Clippers are up by 9 points into half time, while it's just a 3 point difference game between Denver Nuggets and Timberwolves, this is the worse night to back the favorites to cover those big points spread of theirs.

The Clippers had an uphill battle against the Suns without Kawhi and Paul George. Westbrook was carrying their weight for a bit but just couldn’t keep it up tonight. I definitely didn’t expect the Atlanta Hawks to be the team to upset today though. I would have picked Minnesota to be the upset today and it looked like they were going to after the first quarter.
