3361  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: October 02, 2022, 11:24:56 PM
To be fair, owners of these startups have huge balls to begin their operation in industries that are either overly saturated or no business has even been yet. In school, we are taught that 90% or even 95% of these startups are doomed to fail, either because of mismanagement, tight competition, or both. Those who managed to break out of the norm gain some success, and it's still a very crucial point for them because they are expanding and they are using more resources than ever.

In my country a big number of startups got into existence as a result of some schemes initiated by the government. Later this turned to be mere schemes and the government failed to provide consistent support in all levels, particularly in finance. This have caused a big percentage of startups end and very few are sustaining. The governments have got big responsibility in the development of the people through entrepreneurship. Most of the time government work for the corporate that are once a strat-up.

The government would only love working for those big businesses because they bring in more money. Banks and governments can even bail these big businesses out if they needed to, because they needed that extra boost from those huge corporations. Startups are always left to fend for themselves but in a business and practical standpoint, it's better to throw money on something that already proved something and is still capable of profiting rather than throw money on something that is highly uncertain and hasn't proven anything yet.

Liquid are playing very impressively at the moment. They were the underdog on paper of course because Vitality are normally a stronger team considering the general quality of their roster. Vitality's recent form was also great. However bookmakers underestimated Liquid quite much considering the odds given. It was definitely worth betting on them and enjoying the final series (BO5).

Liquid are in the lead by 2-1 in the series. Now we are on Overpass which is Vitality's pick. However Liquid are the better side currently and they've just ended the first half 8-7 ahead. I still don't think that the series is ending here. Vitality would find a way to win this map hopefully. But the worrying thing for them is that this is a CT sided map normally. If Liquid play CT side stronger than them then they can finish the job by 3-1.

Liquid is up 12-9 and my bet is looking good. 4 more rounds and Liquid will be crowning themselves champions. But Vitality is coming back after they save and went pistol but won the round. They have money now for full guns. Let's see if they can pull a comeback.

Liquid's comms game is on another level. Yekindar scouting lots of obvious hits from T-side on Overpass and relaying the info, then an instant CT rotation is impressive. You can tell that this guy can perform like a beast under pressure and it shows. Sadly though Vitality managed to sneak 1 map from Liquid and it's an even score on the board now. Great A hit from Vitality on the last round of OVP to close it off. Apex is on another level on these T-sides lately.

I jinxed my bet, didn't I? Vitality was able to come back from that eco round in overpass to force an overtime and win and the map.

Then they have a huge lead in Vertigo to open up the second round. Team Liquid was able to crawl back and force Vitality again for an eco-round but Vitality once again won an eco-round and never looked back.

Congratulations Vitality for winning EPL Season 16. It was a good Counter Strike. They deserve the win.

You can see how tense Team Liquid became after they lost with a full buy. I know that they are disadvantaged on the T-side but man their CT side are sloppy in Vertigo as well. Lots of times Apex and Dupreeh just cleans them out in obvious spots that should be known to them. Yekindar also seemed to feel nervous as he whiffed lots of times in Vertigo when he was literally popping off in OVP.

Anyways, better luck next bet! TI is in for next week and I can't wait to get the Dota season started.

I don't quite understand why fans need to be violent when it comes to supporting their teams. For sure the teams that played on this match is disappointed that this has to happen in the first place. Many lives were lost just because fans cannot contain their disappointment and disbelief to the result of the match. Uncontrolled emotions almost always lead to a lot of negative events. For die-hard sports fans out there, keep in mind that a loss is not the end for your team. If you really support your team that much, just hope for them to get back on their feet and come back stronger to their next events.

I believe someone instigated the fans into running to the field that triggers the police to use illegal means. It is easier to manipulate fans when they are high of emotion and disappointment.

I feel sorry to these innocent victim but is angered by the thought that someone had sparked that commotion.  I hope those policemen who used illegal means get punished and the people who instigated the fans be caught.  I hate it when someone plays with the emotions of fans that often times resulted into mass confusion, stampede and death.

Does it come from the losing team or is it just one of those stupid urges from the same fans to charge at the other? That's really unfortunate and the one who instigated this violent clash should be put behind bars. Imagine almost 200 people died because of this violent clash and fans are played with their emotions to hurt other people. Even those who are meant to stop the fights are badly hurt and some are critically injured. It's a sad day for sports and mostly for the families of those whose lives perished in this very unfortunate event.
3364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: October 02, 2022, 10:12:18 PM
It is good if you have your own strategy, but it's never harmless to incorporate some other people's ideas into your trading schemes. I myself am only copying other people's positions for the most part, but it is always up to me whether I'd stick to it or I'd stop it if I feel that my position isn't the best. Of course, you're not always in the greens all the time so it's best to gauge the market before employing your strategy or other people's strategy.

3367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 02, 2022, 07:15:30 PM
Perhaps it's the budget that they really wanted to allocate for advertising and nothing else. They launch, they want to get their platforms recognized, and when they think that the exposure is enough, they cut the signature campaign. There are tons of gambling platforms and other crypto services that has had their signature campaigns last for only a couple of weeks, but they are still thriving. Advertising your service is one thing, and maintaining it to stay competitive in this game is another. Or they assessed that signature campaigns here in the forum is not the way to go in advertising and there are other channels that they can use. Lots of reasons honestly, but I don't think the bear market has got something to do with it heavily, as this was always the case even during bull markets.
3368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 02, 2022, 03:45:55 PM
I'm not a statistic guy, but I will say that it is possible what not sure what are the odds are.

Also, isn't it this kind of lottery results are being shown in the public as it has been draw with the representative of DTI? (I will assumed this is Philippines as it shows PHP). So they have to collude with the government and win this numbers?

As Tesla believed though, the numbers 3/6/9 is the "secret of the universe".

1 statistician mentioned that the odds of this happening is 10 ^ 700, far more than 10^80 number that a lot of physicists consider as the number of atoms in the whole observable universe. He also took into account the nature of Filipino bettors when it comes to betting in the lottery: they don't follow patterns, they just pick their birthdays, special numbers, and other numbers that has some meaning to them. I know it's an answer that is not statistically sound, but the idea is there. The odds of this happening is extremely low, plus the fact that 433 winners managed to get the right combination is also insane.

A lot of people are already questioning the integrity of last night's draw. Whether those balls were weighted less to get picked a lot easier is also already in talks. Whatever happened that night, we're sure that it will not be repeated any time soon.
3369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 01, 2022, 11:56:01 PM
Team Liquid and Vitality ruined a lot of bets today. All of the favorites to win the matches today all lose.

That 15-7 lead that went to overtime that eventually resulted in a loss must be very painful. I was sure in pain watching it. They just needed a round, but they could not close it. Choke was real.

So that 2-0 win of Team Liquid against C9 in the group stage is not a fluke. They prove that they can really win against a stronger team. From round of 12 to the Grand Finals, what a cinderella story we got here. I think they are in a roll and could actually win the championship. What do you think guys?

Pressure got into them. You can tell how tense they were when the camera pans into them. M0nesy is hitting a lot of great shots but that isn't enough when the rest of your team is at a loss on what they're doing. He also missed some crucial shots as well that could have helped them extend their lead against Vitality. Pretty painful to watch it closed down like that a G2 fan. Imagine feeling excited with just 1 round away from winning and then all of a sudden, one full buy and a couple of rounds later G2 is struggling to find kills and penetrate the site.
3370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Alert] Risk of connecting a wallet to an unknown website. on: October 01, 2022, 11:33:36 PM
Those who consciously connect their wallets to unknown websites that are not deemed as safe should take the loss. I mean, it's 2022 and people still fall prey to these obvious scamming techniques employed by some crooks. It takes less than a minute to check the legitimacy of a service nowadays, and if you can't be bothered searching for something on Google then I guess you deserve to lose your money. I check the site, and upon watching the video, I cringed at how the man explained how easy it is to earn tokens just by doing what he says. Also, lots of videos on YouTube claiming that this project is indeed a scam. Didn't take me 2 minutes to search, read, confirm, and type these things regarding the said website.

Wtf did Verstappen back off from a possible pole position?  Weird...  I guess we'll find out later.

Probably out of fuel.
Cars need to have a certain amount of fuel at the end of the qualify for tests.

If they can't have the amount needed they will have a huge penalty.

They already confirmed it. Race engineers should have taken their time doing the preparations and just let the man drive according to his capabilities. Verstappen was clearly upset on the last minute decision to pit but it's either lose the pole position or take the penalty. Either way, it's still a great drive from him, but it could even be better had he not been limited by his car's fuel and may even take the pole position.

He's gotta put in more work and effort if he wants to stay in a very comfortable position that's for sure, thanks to this unlucky event that happened.
3372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Isn't Bitcoin Going Lower? on: October 01, 2022, 10:23:47 PM
Because that's what most people deem its current value is at the moment. A lot of infrastructures, services, businesses, and other platforms are built with, by, and around bitcoin, and for sure these 'stakeholders' don't want bitcoin to go down the drain. Aside from that, the price action also helps prevent bitcoin from going down so much because a lot of traders are willing to buy x amount of coins in the current price to negate selling pressure. There's a lot more to it, really, but this covers the basics on the answer to your question.
3373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use crypto trading robots? on: October 01, 2022, 09:12:18 PM
Trading bots can be beneficial if you cannot manage your trades full-time and just need some autopiloting system that still follows your rules when it comes to decision-making. Be warned though that these trading bots, while they work and help you execute trades while you're away, can still commit some errors that can cause you money. You shouldn't rely on them 100% IMO. Trading bots aren't made for passive income, it's made to execute trades on your behalf following your line of thinking. It's still controlled by you, and the commands you issue will also be the things that it will do in order to satisfy the trade.
3374  Economy / Economics / Re: A great resignation is incoming to the IT powerhouse of the world on: October 01, 2022, 07:04:42 PM
This is one thing that I don't quite understand for these tech companies. Most of their products are built, modified, and shipped through the internet. What makes working on office different from working at home when one can still accomplish the tasks at hand just the same? Meetings can also be done through online platforms like Zoom or Webex, so why all the rush to bring back everyone in the office? There are some industries that really require an office-based setup, but it's surprising that the tech sector forces people to return to a setup that eats up a lot of their time and resources before they can get their jobs done.
3375  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds like 1xbet on: October 01, 2022, 05:29:52 PM
Try stake or sportsbet.io perhaps to avoid account closures? These platforms are best when it comes to account security and just overall site functionality, and you can't go wrong with their promotions as well. 1xbet have some good odds that is unmatched in the industry but there are tons of issues with their website that I'm finding it hard to trust them with any of my money at all. The two platforms I mentioned have odds that are almost the same with fiat-based bookies and it is sufficient unless you're min-maxing your profits on sports betting.
3376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 01, 2022, 03:46:09 PM
I wonder what her intention was, maybe that the child should be held by the gambling shop to repay the equivalent of the money lost in labor.

If I'm to preempt the mind of the woman, she probably would be thinking it is just for a while that the child would be let free by either someone around to bring him back for her while she makes promise to pay the debt gradually. She could be shy and thinking the operator of the lotto stand won't take it lightly with her and so she has to act that way. I don't think she genuinely wanted to use the son for collateral, not that. This news I think from the link happened in enugu, Nigeria and Nigerian woman in her right senses won't use a baby for lotto collateral or the news fact is not properly disseminated, maybe the woman had a friend or someone close there that could bring the baby back to her before negotiation for payment would begin. So I don't believe the news of using the son for collateral on lotto gambling.

The fact that the woman thought of leaving her sone there just so she can make some payment arrangements first is nuts. If you don't have the money, you shouldn't gamble to begin with, but the woman still took her chance and that is the result. No matter the angle you view this news from, that woman is still wrong and she is not in her right mind. She deserves to get stripped off the custody of her son that's for sure, so as to serve as a hard lesson for her.
3377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 01, 2022, 12:00:00 AM
Macau is the only place I have experience with, Vegas remains to be a dream. But of course, online gambling experience is what I'm focusing currently and I'm having fun exploring other platforms and check what they have in store for me. As for my Macau experience, it is somewhat a normal one since most of what they offer them, I get in the Philippines—at least what I experienced. Meals that they offer are good, the casino proper is not that crowded, and there is a semblance of elegance everywhere. Also, lots of gambling houses can be seen in just a single street, kind of what they have in Vegas IMO.
^That is awesome dude, how I wish I experience that too because, to be honest, I never experience gambling in a real casino.
Every gambler's dream is to come to Vegas to experience an elegant casino but I think only those rich or middle-class people will come to that place and probably people like me will be preferred to use an online casino over a real casino which is very expensive.
Such a great experience that I wanted to try but of course, it needs a lot of money. Cheesy

I wasn't supposed to be in Macau when I visited there. It was a last-minute, conscious decision to visit the said place and I somewhat regretted it Cheesy I was there for only 8 hours and left immediately taking the next flight home due to personal reasons. The Venetian is a good place, and not a lot of people there too so you can kinda chill inside the casino proper and enjoy yourself. Not a lot of people roaming around too unlike what they post in blogs and other articles. Just played some slots and roulettes for a few sessions and it became boring.

In Vegas you have tons of options to gamble and lots of places to go to. In Macau, it's a so-so destination IMO Smiley
3378  Economy / Economics / Re: Scientists say food insecurity drove international conflict 2000 years ago on: September 30, 2022, 11:44:56 PM
It's not far from happening, although of course there is still some time to act before we get to the point wherein we have to fight for our basic needs and oppress other nations into giving us their resources. It's what a lot of generations before us did before we reached this point of "harmony" between nations and it's not impossible for us to revert back to that stage again. Imagine if everyone goes batshit crazy due to hunger. For damn sure they will do everything they can to survive another day, even if it means hurting someone for their food. It's still embedded within us for our own survival and pretty sure it'll exhibit once we reached our breaking point. The problem is, for sure the next conflict for survival will surely leave a lot of people dead—but not hungry, at least.
3379  Economy / Economics / Re: 23 Countries Now Abandoning US Dollar on: September 30, 2022, 10:47:07 PM
I am a bit disappointed that the article later says:

Quote
Historically, new world reserve currencies are backed by gold.

Prices just dropped on gold and silver. NOW it the time to buy! Protect your wealth my friends.

As if gold and silver will be the next world reserve currencies.

The optimistic me says that Bitcoin will be the next world reserve currency after the dollar, but that is depending on countries using it, which's already starting to happen in some countries. Sadly the article dod not say which fiat currency is the most viable alcandidate to replace the dollar (the yuan?)

Looks like the writer of the article is a heavy precious metal shill Cheesy Imagine going backwards just because you don't want the current reserve currency almost everyone uses. But anyway, if these countries indeed abandoned the USD, chances are they will be making moves to promote their own currencies and make everything centered around it. The question is, would the rest of the world be ballsy enough to follow their lead and abandon something that they are using to peg literally everything with in the world market? Chances are, no, the world is not ready to do that. The listed countries only abandon the USD because the said currency is weakening their own. But if they are to trade in the world market, they'd still need to transact in USD because not everyone follows what they are doing.
3380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Terra still pumping !?! on: September 30, 2022, 10:08:18 PM
Terra is dead. A lot of people already abandoned it and I think only a few fanatics who made lots from it are going to pump the hell out of that coin and no one will even follow. There's very little natural trading action from that coin too, and I don't think that interests a lot of people from other markets. Terra will need a miracle if it needs to stay relevant on the scene, and I don't think that will happen given a lot of negativities surrounding the reputation of the said coin.
