3361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 14, 2022, 07:43:48 AM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?

This is a good question.
at first glance it does not change the bettor's approach.
but ultimately it can lead to betting taking into account a higher risk.
Both to recover from the decline in value and therefore maximize a profit, and because the currency is devalued (versus FIAT cash) so that same value is less.
3362  Economy / Gambling / Re: Places where you can bet 50 BTC on 50/50 odds? on: June 14, 2022, 07:39:53 AM
Feeling sad, looking for a place where I can gamble the last of my stack.

What sites can I gamble 50% BTC and double or nothing?

If you are sad, gamble your money away probably will not help a lot and will not produce anything of valuable.
By the way you can have a look on stake.com that allow huge bets (technically they have no limit).
You can bet on a casino (always there is house edge so it's not a perfect 50% bet) or on sport bet.
Personally I absolutely advise against doing such nonsense. It's an amount that even in a crypto winter could change any life.

I think it's more valuable make a donation to charity or helping people in needs...

About this production, the artist said:

Drawing made strictly by hand.  The technique used is BIC pen, yes, just a pen and fantasy!

Subsequently printed on a 90 gr paper individually have been individually numbered by hand, with an embossed stamp (unique identifier code of the banknote).

It also created a fake watermark using only the colors and overlays to make it a particular note.

The project was born for fun, a challenge that I wanted to launch to try new drawing techniques, and for love I feel for bitcoins!

I think the character represented is known to most people, made as a Moor's head (Sicilian) because the idea was born in this wonderful place that is Sicily.
Many will turn up their noses, but this is also a peculiarity that distinguishes the work.

The power of Bitcoin is still underestimated today.
However, despite the numerous criticisms received in recent years, we are all aware that it is the road to change, we do not know where it will lead us, but we have indeed arrived here with many good intentions.

History of “Teste di Moro”

https://emozioni-di-sicilia.com/en/blogs/news/teste-di-moro-una-storia-di-amore-eterno

FRONT of Banknote
- On the right, next to the number 1 there is the word.
Each banknote bears a different word. It is possible to feel it by touch, this is done with a “burin”.
-
Generally, where a distinctive sign has been added, it is possible to feel them physically.

- Above there is the phrase "Chancellor on brink of second bailout for bank" (quite iconic, that in our sector we all know "what it means").

- It is possible to see the author's signature "ARTIKANDO" inside the circle on the right (next to the "Moor's head")
- The hash code you find below is the abstract text of the Satoshi Nakamoto paper converted to SHA256
https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

https://emn178.github.io/online-tools/sha256.html

Quote

Abstract. A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online
payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a
financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main
benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending.
We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network.
The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of
hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing
the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of
events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As
long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to
attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The
network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort
basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest
proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

BACK of Banknote

- At the top there is a phrase that is "inspirational" for everyone
“Change the world by thinking differently”.

After all, bitcoin helps us to think differently about many aspects of our life, compared to what we have done in the past or compared to what the rest of the "no coiner" population does.

- At the bottom, on the back of the banknote is inserted in morse code
 “Bitcoin is the best “

.
- It is possible to see the author's signature "ARTIKANDO" inside the circle on the right (next to the globe).

This is my first auction. Please be merciful if I made any mistakes and copied Tongue the design for this topic Roll Eyes

EDIT
The last 10 banknotes are available at the basic auction price. Contact me here or privately;)
3368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 13, 2022, 03:18:55 PM
it is hard to win because people doesn't have a "scientific approach" or a professional approach to the gambling.
I think that addiction in gambling is a serious issue that could create a lot of other problem in real life, like drug addiction or any other dependance.
Here there is not "overdose" but it could be really easy waste big sum of money in a short time Sad that sounds equally as a complete disaster for the well being of a person.
3369  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which sportbooks allow winners on: June 12, 2022, 06:57:01 PM
Hi there,

Are there any crypto sportbooks that allow winners to play there and dont start limiting players once they win a little bit?

Thanks!

you also need to quantify these winnings!
for what I know usually this is a trend that is seen more with "classic" (FIAT) sportbooks.
anyway, unfortunately for TOS, all bookmakers can exclude you from their bets at their sole discretion.
probably these exclusions are much more frequent when you play "suspicious results" (of fraud) or minor league/matches.
3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 12, 2022, 06:28:16 PM

Murray is a strong player and we know very well... and there is not much to say against this argument.
After is injury he is trying to come back at his "original" level (he has been the ATP number one for several weeks) but meanwhile he has also loss some "easy" matches.
I think that everything is possible, but it's a big risks, and there are other players, maybe younger in a good fit that could easily get a important results.

It would be nice if Murray could win this tournament as he had several good wins this week (against Tsitsipas and Kyrgios) but to return to his old level and winning grand slams, is not really possible anymore I think.
@Trofo, you have had several good picks this week, what would be your bet for the final of Murray vs Berrettini?

No absolutely, he is no longer able to win a grand slam, but not so much (or only) due to his lack but maybe because he has to face opponents who are much younger, in shape, and even greedy than him!
Today he was able to stand up to Berrettini, and play even the third set.
but he had to give up against a player who until last year was able to reach the Wimbledon final (may sound like a consolation)!

I saw a curious thing today that there are very few BGL coins for sale on Hotbit, there may be more of them on crex24, but it's not really possible to go there for me, I was just tired of changing dns servers in vpn, yesterday apparently they raked out all the coins on Hotbit.

I believe this is quite common when the market depth is not very high and there is not a large amount of coins "ready" for sale.
Just an order at market price and the whole order book is reset ....it may be a good idea to sell coins at a higher price than other exchanges/market
3372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting vs Online Casino Games: Which do you prefer? on: June 12, 2022, 12:40:24 PM
It depends, because, if I play for relax I will like definitely play in a casino because there are a lot of fun games and it's a kind of entertainment.
If I have to play in sport bet I will always look for a real profit and play with a different mentality (even bigger stakes) the approach it's completely different and I don't want just "watch the game and bet" but watch the game and win!

...
but, he has a titanium hip Sad
...

yes and this is the main reason each time I am scared to place a bet on him...more over if he plays against young player/player in a good form. but anyway, after this hip injury he is back at a top level again, despite also the age (he is 35 years old).

3374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 11, 2022, 02:59:59 PM
at the end of this discussion, I am really curious to know from OP: Roll Eyes
- did you get really a loan for this bet? collateral provided? interest rate?
- what is this match you decide to play? (it's ok you will reveal after it has been played or send a MP)
3375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How I can Create a private key from a text? on: June 11, 2022, 12:47:21 PM
Yeah, it's interesting, but that's where its usefulness stops. You literally do not want to generate private keys from text anymore because i) if you use pre-packaged tools to do it, they use an algorithm is known by all hackers and they are running programs to brute force private keys with random text ii) if you do this manually with a different algorithm you could forget it, if you also lose your private key.

Don't underestimate the forgetfulness of man. it just struck me again with a few passwords to some services. (I was locked out of LastPass during that time).

Try to guess a private key with brute force it's like impossible if I'll take in account a random text with 500+ characters/special ones/spaces...
Of course is not easy and it's like a waste of time (versus create a private key in the classic manner) since I can use other methods but what I think it's interesting it's the chance to hide a private key inside a text.

About the method to create this wallet, all steps could be easily saved everywhere... I was searching also a way to do everything just from "command line" and not using tools or other stuffs online.

BTW thank you all for you inputs and clarifications, much appreciated Smiley
3376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 11, 2022, 12:40:18 PM
This seems to be Andy Murray’s first win against any top tennis player in the last 6 years, according to this article:
https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/61761802

This is a really long time and I believe that no one believed in Andy anymore, and maybe even he didn't believe in his return anymore.
The question of all questions is whether this is an indication of Andy Murray’s big comeback or just one random win that won’t change anything substantially. What do you think?
For me, Andy Murray has always been one of my favorite tennis players and I am really happy that he has not given up on his tennis career and that he still has faith in himself and fights.
Congratulation Andy, fantastic match and great victory!

3377  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 11, 2022, 12:27:54 PM
Never thought that blackjack can also be used for waggering but I know that baccarat is a good game to wager fast other than dice and plinko is also a good one, just pick a lower risk and smaller pin numbers. To me, blackjack is best only if I am playing for profit because I think the chance to win here is much higher compared to other games.

Never tried live games because my connection is slow but indeed that we need a luck if our goal is to win since this is gambling and the house has a major advantage over the players but staking high is optional. I only stake high if I have an extra money but if not then I just stick on my usual betting since I am also like you who mainly plays for fun.

Yes sure, also baccarat is a good option for wagering, but it's a kind of boring games Roll Eyes at a certain point and you can do really little to change the chance for a win. I mean, you can call just one card, if the house has an 8 or 9 you can't call a card and so on.
About live games, these are really fun, and have a good prize but require an high stakes or a bet....
3378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 10, 2022, 07:34:13 PM
...
However I'm not saying slots is bad and slots should be blamed due to cause gambling problem, but it's depends on the gambler who can control himself or not.

I have seen several research that explains how "slots" are designed to force people to gamble...it's really hard have self control with this kind of games.
And probably this is true, but if you see in the long term it's really easy get hooked and have a bad addiction for this kind of games most often respect other types of games.
I play just few cent some times for pure entertainment but after a while it become really repetitive / boring and because I can't to nothing for "change" the results I stop to play after few rolls.

For those who have "too much to say" and want participate in the interview, or maybe would like to have a live interview... write to me in private!
I am always available to prepare an interview / deepen your thoughts on this topic.

In the meantime, here are some other questions!!!
15. What would Satoshi think of this passion? [Would he/she/they also be a collector*?]
16. Could "attractive" objects from an aesthetic point of view be used as a “trojan horse” to bring “no coiners” to this sector? [likewise paints, figurative arts etc etc]
17. What do you think could be the "collector's item" that we would all like to own but that has yet to be invented?
18. What do you think of NFTs? Can they be considered real collector's items or are they useful only as "proof of ownership"?
