You can use a drop / alternate address / reshipping service, I have said this many times. Products are shipped as replacements, companies do not ask for the product back, so we do not need to use credit cards, and the customer will not be billed for any reason. [...]
So I guess we'll have to trust your word on that one? Either way, no one is going to find out within a few months.

If you left it out I'm sure you would make money. Google search says $56/50lbs of shelled peanuts. I'm sure you could break $200 a year in profit.
It's be cool if states could put these around in parks but I'm positive they would be vandalized.
Just put them on ranger stations' roofs, or other hard to reach places every city should have a few of these one for coins, one for cigarette buts... it might not turn a profit, but it would clean up the streets for cities, it would effectively replace street cleaners, so it might turn a profit.

you cant be serious. comparing gameboy cartridges to random circuit boards with electronics in them? claiming you can get a refurbished ipod touch (4 gen) from apple for ~$80? you were outright lying.

You forgot to mention that you are submitting products you dont own for replacement, in some unsuspecting buyers name too, thats fucked up.
Companies cannot bill you with your address, if you'd like to show how this is possible, go ahead please. We have access to all of the original products, we are not 'borrowing' the names of buyers, and there really isn't a way to make up names of people who actually own products. Anyone is welcome to use a 'drop' or reshipping service, however, there is no need. Of course, if by "access" you mean getting your serials/pids from real people selling their electronics on ebay or craigslist. This works all fine and dandy until either a) the company asks for a return (95% of the time). Companies like microsoft, logitech and amazon has already started billing people who do not return their (supposedly) broken products. Of course, Nyaaan is not going to tell the buyer this, and a few months later, the buyer gets a bill for the full purchase price of the product. By then, Nyaaan is long gone, and the buyer is screwed. b) the original owner needs warranty service, and he finds out his warranty is void. then the owner proves he/she is the actual owner, and the buyer gets billed. basically what Nyaaan is doing is this: 1. make up or get a serial from ebay/cragislist user 2. call the company and say the product is broken 3. the company will ask him to send the product in, in which case Nyaaan will make up some bullshit story saying he can't send it in 4. they'll send a replacement product, and possibly ask for a credit card number to charge in case the product isn't returned. (the credit card is usually stolen or a $25 gift card) 5. the buyer gets his product, posts a positive review 6. everything goes well until all the buyers start getting bills 7. Nyaaan runs away Even if you don't get billed/caught, the bottom line is what Nyaaan is doing is fraud, pure and simple.

- Lots of references
- Collateral for a trusted member to hold and pay to investors if you default

Yes, we can use an escrow. I can go first, you can send the money once you have received the tracking number or once you have the items.
I have bought from / sold to several members already, I can ask them to vouch if necessary.
These items are not carded, they are shipped brand new, straight from the company's replacement team to your address. If you want, you can use a reshipping service for your own privacy.
I already have one buyer, keep the sales coming, people.

I like how he straight-up denies accusations of carding, but refuses to discuss whether the products were scammed or "socially engineered". Best of luck to any of your buyers though, they'll need it once the company starts billing them.

without running a bitcoin instance. Simpler or not you really shouldn't be trusted anyone else. No 3rd party provides any SLA on the data (eventually Bitcoin will need something akin to a financial services company which provides data under contract for a fee). If attacker learns you are using bitcoin.info then the attack becomes to hit bitcoin.info and change the data provided. Make that 0-confirm look like a 6-confirm and rob you blind. No matter how good your back end is you leave yourself vulnerable to third party attack. Eventually I do imagine a contracted & bonded data provide using strong encryption and an API would provide commercial services but we aren't there yet. Good business idea though. a better idea would be a bitcoind fork that provides additional api functionality.

Some do that to protect against exchange rate volatility. The coins aren't lost, and in most instances the transaction can still be completed, just that the rate isn't guaranteed. Generally you will only see this when there is a very low margin and that is the only way the service can offer the good at that price. SpendBitcoins, for instance, is one which limits the amount of time for a transaction to arrive. But they are giving credit at market price at the time the order is places, so even a 1% move in a few minutes (something that happens all to often with bitcoin) can cause them to lose money on the transaction.
But the "on-demand" re-broadcast feature is something that makes sense. There is no technical reason not to have this, and it doesn't go against the protocol.
The only problem I can see is new users spamming "rebroadcast" in hopes of getting confirms faster. While this is not going to cause a flood, it is going to make it easier to trace the originator of a transaction, which reduces anonymity.

If you ran a local bitcoin instance, it will be as easy as an RPC call. but if you really want to do it without a local instance, you can go on blockexplorer.com, check the transaction, and subtract the current # of the blocks from when it first appeared.

What pools still use proportional payouts?
random pools that are created for the sole purpose of pool hopping. usually fails for pool hoppers because the pool gets stuck at 40%, and because no sane user will continue mining beyond that point, everyone abandons the pool.

of course im not cpu mining ... 25 of them have ati radeon gpus but the other 25 have only cpus
That makes solo mining more viable, but payouts will still be erratic. There are plenty of good zero-fee pools that will make payouts much steadier and save you the trouble of maintaining a bitcoind server. or just run p2pool
