3361  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Let's Make America Great Again With Old Guys Team Ahead - Trump New Policy on: May 23, 2017, 12:19:29 PM
FBI director candidate Lieberman ( 75 year old ) is just one of newest example of Donald Trump new policy - take old guys, preferably at least 70 years or more old, put them in top managing position and go ahead. Donald as 70 years old senior citizen and president will make America great again with old guys team in White House.

Trumps decision is a 50/50 decision. It could make America great again or it could make worse. Hiring the elderly has also its advantage since they have more experience, skills and knowledge on handling matters of the state. In short the elderly are wise. But there are also negative things in hiring older people and that is their health. Their health conditions will affect their efficiency and effectivity in handling matters of the state.
3362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do ICO's become so successful in just a few hours!? on: May 23, 2017, 12:16:27 PM
I've seen some ICO's raise $25 million in 15 minutes. Is that through their existing populairty, Public Relations team or what???

There are different kind of ICO's some have been successful and some have failed. But to the ICO's who have been successful there are many factors behind its success. First is that they have big investors or shareholders that funds the coin, second is they have a good marketing and promotion that attracts the attention of the traders and holders to buy the coin.
3363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: May 23, 2017, 12:07:44 PM
If you are an average person and you didn't use computer or surf the internet that much then if you heard the word bitcoin, it is not that money related name because i think it is sound like a random name or a techie stuff but it is not that sound money because people didn't know that there is a possibility in the internet to create new kind of money and that is the cryptocurrencies.

We are not talking about how people look at bitcoin but we are looking at the current condition of bitcoin. Bitcoin as it is does really sound money since bitcoin has a value and it can be converted to fiat currency or cash. When traders talks about bitcoin they are not just talking about a digital coin but it would mean profit and income.
3364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are obviously scared of UASF setting a precedent on: May 23, 2017, 12:02:42 PM
UASF have empowered the bitcoin holders so that the miners will have no choice but to comply with the request and wants of the holders and players of bitcoin. I also dont think that it will cause some major trouble to bitcoin since segwit activation is much better compared to no consensus at all. If there will be problems on the long run the developers will not just sit idly since they will lose big if the code fails.
3365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Floriduh Skinhead Converts to Islam, launches Jihad on: May 23, 2017, 11:40:32 AM
Have to feel sorry for this guy https://www.yahoo.com/news/police-man-slays-neo-nazi-roommates-over-islam-172952811.html

An adolescent raised on phony wars, doing as he was taught.

Time for outer space where the challenges will be real.

If there is a fault that the teenager had done was killing his neo-nazi roommates because  they insulted his conversion to Islam. But there is a positive side to that since if those two did not die they may have planted the bomb somewhere and it have killed many people. But the teenager was just unlucky if he had only reported his roommates for the possession of the bombs then he would not end up in jail.
3366  Economy / Economics / Re: How to invest in casinos? on: May 23, 2017, 11:26:58 AM
If you want to invest in a Casino  then you should contact the individuals from the casino itself. Or perhaps you can hire some programmers to create a online gambling site based on your preference. I believe that there are groups who are making software for online gambling. During the beginning of your business you will need promotions so that people will visit and play on your site.
3367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Miners can MASF, or users will UASF. either way, Segwit activated early August" on: May 23, 2017, 11:19:57 AM

Luke-Jr: "Miners can do BIP148 MASF, or users will do BIP148 UASF. either way, Segwit will be activated beginning August at the latest, and we will have a scaling solution."

Shocked Bullish to say the least.

Bitcoin is going up because people are taking action and finally we see some relevant devs supporting UASF.

Let's hope we all can be enjoying segwit this summer. If miners want to crash the price, they will continue opposing. If they are reasonable, we will see $5000 this year.

That is a positive prediction and it will most likely to happen by the end of this year. Some bitcoin holders was saying that the main reason that bitcoin was rapidly increasing in value was because of the segwit activation this coming August. The UASF or the emergency plan to activate segwit is what we need at this point of time so we wont suffer from very slow confirmation.
3368  Economy / Speculation / Re: How MUCH will the FINAL BTC be WORTH? on: May 23, 2017, 10:57:42 AM
1,000,000$ and thats final. That will be the final price of bitcoin when no one can afford to buy 1btc at that time. If they can still buy  plenty of bitcoin it will always increase its price.

May never reach that number because mid-way surely the world's bureaucracy and regulation will prevent it by taking 20-30% tax from every applicable transaction. Bitcoin will continue to face rules about this, but I do not mind this if in the end bitcoin is only up to 500,000 usd

It is possible that bitcoin can even reach that value many years from now. The world bureaucracy will not stop bitcoin from growing its value but instead a countries adoption of bitcoin will bring an intense increase in bitcoins value due to the increase of users demand. There are even some experts who predicted that bitcoins value can reach that high.
3369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Largest Czech online retailer accepts Bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 10:52:24 AM
Largest Czech online retailer Alza has started accepting bitcoin. It is the second largest online retailer next to Russia's largest online retailer Ulmart to accept bitcoin. It has also installed bitcoin ATMs in two of its showrooms. It seems that most of the business organizations have realized that they could not avoid bitcoin payments any more.

2017 is really the year of bitcoin. There are many good events that gives off a positive vibe to the industry. Alzas move to accept bitcoin is just a sign that bitcoins merit was already exposed to big companies and enterprise in the world. Sooner or later we can already buy even one candy using bitcoin . Hope with possible activation of segwit on september the miner fee will drop so that we can make small transactions without handling a large fee.
3370  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Manchester Explosion on: May 23, 2017, 04:00:31 AM
In progress peeps, some shit just blew up at an Arriana Grande concert in the UK, people were injured and killed. Not sure if if was organic, or a terrorist act, but the media is playing it real cool with the details ATM:

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/05/22/europe/manchester-arena-incident/index.html

There are fatalities following an incident at Manchester Arena in England on Monday, according to local police.

In a Facebook post, Greater Manchester Police released the following statement: "Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena. There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. Please AVOID the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene. Details of a casualty bureau will follow as soon as available."

The warning to stay away from Manchester Arena came after reports of two loud explosions during an Ariana Grande concert Monday night.

Greater Manchester Police tweeted that emergency services were "responding to serious incident at Manchester Arena. Avoid the area. More details will follow as soon as available."
British Transport Police told CNN it was in the process of closing some transport in the area.

Video from near the scene showed a caravan of ambulances heading to the arena.

This terrorist attacks were again possibly done by the famous terrorist group in the world the ISIS. The story also shows how the governments protocol on such cases has improved. But there is still a flaw and that is having a strict security so that there will be a zero terrorist attack in the area. Even though how strict the security in many places the terrorist has still find some ways to spread terror and death.
3371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So finally it did was not difficult to dethrone bitcoin! on: May 23, 2017, 03:49:43 AM
The narrative built all these years was that bitcoin is immune to government intervention, to the extent that it will one day overthrow the state..

but ha ha ha

all it took was one small civil war between a  startup called block stream and a bitcoin early adopter and thats all....

its time for the community to save bitcoin to be on the top ever...

Bitcoin has really failed to overthrow the banks and the state. And that is because everything we do including our business activities are being monitored and regulated by the state. Bitcoin is in a state wherein it needs to be exchanged for fiat currency in order for us to purchase things and this just implies that bitcoin has not function yet as a currency but rather as a commodity. And the moment we tried to exchange our bitcoin to fiat currency in an exchange the government is already intervening.
3372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth's market cap reach 50% of btc, will it overreach bitcoin? on: May 22, 2017, 01:05:01 PM
A 6-year old bitcoin investor shared his stories about investing in altcoins. And after constant failure, he insists that no altcoin will surpass bitcoin, at least not in this life. As a friend of Vitalik, he says eth is a great project, but the eth foundation would be the root of corruption.
http://news.8btc.com/will-bitcoin-be-dethroned-by-an-altcoin-not-in-this-life

This is a fact and we cannot deny it that bitcoin will still be the king of cryptocurrency and no other alternative coin will replace it. Even how strong and altcoin is but it will still drop in value when the price of btc goes up again. You can see the trend that everytime the price of bitcoin increases the owners of altcoins and shitcoins are selling their coins in exchange for bitcoins.
3373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Erdogan Goons Were Told To ‘Attack’ Protesters on: May 22, 2017, 01:00:21 PM
Audiovisual analysis of footage recorded at the Turkish embassy on Tuesday sheds light on the verbal commands given by Turkey’s president prior to his bodyguards’ attack on a group of Kurdish protesters.

A professional sound editor named Salih Ferad conducted the analysis on behalf of The Daily Caller.

Using noise reduction and volume enhancement techniques, Ferad determined that Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s security detail shouted out the phrases “he says attack” and “come, come, come” as they charged the protesters.

The battle cries came just after Erdogan appeared to relay orders to his personal bodyguard while sitting in the back of a black Mercedes Benz outside of the embassy.

http://dailycaller.com/2017/05/18/audio-analysis-erdogan-goons-were-told-to-attack-protesters-video/

We do not know what is the real score on that event. Either the news is true and unbiased or it was made and financed by a third party against the President. But given that the report was true it is very unethical for a president to harass or to hurt the protesters who are not doing a riot or violent acts against the president. It may truly be a sign of an abuse to authority if the news was really correct and certain.
3374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do the Chinese really control the majority share of mining farms? on: May 22, 2017, 12:50:50 PM
I do believe that majority of mining farm is located in China but I doubt that majority of it is owned by chinese. The reason for this is that if ever the majority of hashes is owned by Chinese then the increase in blocksize will never had problem in getting the percentage it wanted for hardforking bitcoin.  But it seems it isn't controlled by chinese.

Have you heard of bitmain it is one of the largest bitcoin mining farm in the world and it is owned by the Chinese. Though there are other mining farms that are not owned by the Chinese and was only set-up in that country due to cheap electricity and cheap manpower cost. But reagrdless of it being owned by Chinese or by foreign entities we cannot deny the fact that it is located withing the political boundaries of China and can be regulated by the Government of China. If the Chinese government will make a strict policy on the release of bitcoins into the market then that is the time when they will gain control.
3375  Other / Off-topic / Re: Technology and Human life..... on: May 22, 2017, 12:45:06 PM
Its true that technology has taken us to that point where we can even think of impossible but there are many counter-effects that human race is  facing after this advancement in technology ......  wars , global warming , terrorism , time for family etc ........ Do u really think that technology is hurting us more than benefiting us HuhHuh?

As we divulged ourselves in development we became focus on the issues on economy and we have treated our natural resources as a tool to increase profit without considering the after effects of our actions. Humanity have made their lives very comfortable but with a price. I do think that technology is now hurting us more than benefiting us. But we can still save our planet by the use of technology all we need is discipline.
3376  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin 'save' Greece? on: May 22, 2017, 12:41:04 PM
Huh
What is your opinion about Bitcoin & Greece

Many things will happen but we cannot be certain if Bitcoin can make Greece certain again. We all know that Greece has fallen into debts and the value of their money has suffered a downfall after they make a huge debt to finance the wars in their territory. But there is still a way for Greece to come back on its feet and that is to buy more bitcoins so that when the price spikes very high they can exchange it to dollars and pay their debts so they can rise again.
3377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day everyone ! on: May 22, 2017, 12:37:25 PM
Seven years ago, on May 22nd 2010, 2 pizzas were bought for 10'000 bitcoins, say USD 21 millions as of today.

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-pizza-day-celebrating-pizza-bought-10000-btc/

After a terrific roll, I wouldn't be surprised if it trades at 20'000$ in 7 years!

This is an exciting and wonderful news to all of us bitcoiners. But I do wonder if that pizza house have not sold all of his bitcoins then he will be a millionaire today but if he has sold them all then he would have regret it. I am just curious is that pizza shop still existing today? I hope it does since it has become a historical place for bitcoin.
3378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists? on: May 22, 2017, 12:25:38 PM
Fiat/Real money is being used since long time ago to support terrorists so how much more Bitcoin that is decentralize. the essence of Bitcoin is to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions. Bitcoin is money even though it is not tangible it is money and it will be use to deal with bad things in the world. So whatever the intentions of the individual that is holding a Bitcoin must be responsible.

As long as bitcoin holds an equivalent value in the form of US dollars then it can be used to fund terrorists. If dollars can be used then how much more bitcoin which can be sent without the anti-money laundering commission eyeing your transactions. But of course any illegal transactions will still be uncovered and sooner or later the authorities will gonna find out who is behind this kind of illicit transactions.
3379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What BTC related business would you do if you had $100.000 on: May 22, 2017, 12:16:04 PM
^

as the title says.

I would create an exchange website with so many payment options and try to make the btc community bigger!
What would you guys do?

I will do some trading since I have some basic knowledge and skills on this area I may have a chance of getting a huge profit. At this point of time I notice that there are many alternative coins are increasing in value such as DASH, ETH, LTC, DOGE, RIPPLE and many more. Possibly if I purchase some of it I will have the chance to get huge profit.
3380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SegWit by Sept - Buy BTC Now!!! on: May 22, 2017, 12:10:51 PM

This is breaking news hot from the NY consensus conference.

This is last chance to buy cheap BTC.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-miners-agree-in-ny-on-segwit-activation-before-september-sources

Updates to follow...

This is another breaking news in bitcoin. Aside from Australia will be accepting or adopting the use of bitcoins in their country by next month another big news will strike on September. This signals the buyer to purchase and hold more bitcoin in their wallet. The predictions on the increasing bitcoin value reaching 5k$ this year will probably realized due to this good news.
