Great start in saying Filipino language. Welcome to our board! Is this is the link to download electrum? https://electrum.org/#download. And I'm currently having a window OS. Which one I choose between these 3? Windows installer, portable version or stand alone? Much prefer to use yung windows installer if gusto mo na sa pc mo lang siya. If you want to install it on a flashdrive mas maganda yung standalone. While making a vanity address it says "oclvanity.exe" is not recognized as an internal or external command. What should I do and when I put 1 on '1test' I get this error: Invalid character '1' in prefix 'test'
Try to double check the spelling since the character you type is not recognized, use this one oclvanitygen.exe or try to drag the .exe file into the CMD prompt then, type 1test to try if it works.

Just a tip para sa may mga GPU on their PC or laptop for generating vanity addy. Try to use the oclvanitygen file instead nung vanitygen for faster execution process and searching nung prefix na gusto mo. And use this command. >oclvanitygen.exe -D 1:0 1test
Instead, na gamit ni op to generate is 2 mins, with the same prefix, I just generate a vanity add just like more or less 15 seconds with the command I used above. Yung -D 1:0 is yung platform:devicenumber, you can look what's the available OpenCL ng pc/laptop mo if try mong i'run ito Here's the video I recorded. https://vimeo.com/330057163Btw, I only have 1050ti

i still don't understand the motive behind this attack,
the motivation is "money"! and since the attackers have already succeeded in fooling lots of people into downloading their malicious wallet and earn a lot of profit from it, they will continue their attack since they both have the money to cover the costs of the attack and the incentive to do it. here is an example victim losing ~$450 https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues/5262And another user just commented few minutes ago losing 500 EUR because of the phishing electrum version 4.0.0

After reading this I transferred all my coins to Exodus, it's not safe to use Electrum anymore, I have been reading a lot of this in the past, I just hope it will never happen to Exodus and Greenwallet, which I'm using right now, but I will remember this and only download from official source.
You misinterpret those topics that electrum isn't safe anymore. By using any kind of wallet, the user itself is full responsible of anything might happen to his/er funds from downloading the wallet (of any kind) to making a transaction. Electrum is one of the secured wallets besides from core, and HW IMO. There are lots of tutorial how make transaction safe with electrum using an air gapped computer if you really want a secured environment. While you have to be updated of any updates release by any wallet's official release. People can follow electrum on their twitter https://twitter.com/ElectrumWallet/ which they are active other than on github for updates. To OP, yeah, its hard losing funds on such incident And hope you don't loss your cool as en ethical hacker and let his incident serve as a lesson for you to strive more on similar things. Don't trust, Verify.

Seems like the site is being blocked off by the service provide. I bet it was another scam trap where they would ask for a deposit to withdraw the promotional balance. No one is that generous to give 100$ for free but if they are asking a deposit then its a obvious scam.
They even ask to download some file which is too suspicious and most probably a malware. Tagged the OP of that thread.

If any token is not on coinmarketcap then I do not take on ether wallet. I try to take on exchanges. And they can't send scam token on an exchange. And in this way, I saved my self.
Yeah, this was my mistake way back then since I only store tokens to my own eth wallet and not on the exchange, its the EOS-like token that scammer made which made me convinced that was the real token, which isn't.
|
|
|
I'm one of the victims of these scams copying the name of the eth token as a disguise and they will lend some to make this token as collateral, that was early 2017, and that's my very first time to see such trick for such scam. I'm glad that there's no coin lost on your part.

Just hit the report button, include all necessary details, and mods will do the rest.
Lots of same thread like that before, spamming any boards of the forum with their exchange/gambling's make deposit first scheme.

AFTER THIS I HAVE TRY TO SEND SOME SMALLER TRNASACTIONS LIKE 5 USD AND 10 USD AND THEY WENT THROUGH BUT BIGGER AMOUNTS LIKE 50 USD ARE NOT GOING THROUGH.
Because by chance it happens when your larger balance from previous transaction's output address as the change (which will become the input address when you're going to make another transaction) are still unconfirmed which you cannot send larger the amount of the change, and by chance you have still have inputs that has smaller of 50$, so you can send smaller amount. So, you have to wait until your previous transactions go through before sending another. You can check that to blockchain's explorer every other 10 minutes to be sure.

The escrow address is: 3D1ceTrHVrnx1oiN2sr25iq2hEvC54GVAy
Off topic a bit, Is this a vanity address for segwit wallet address?

For security purposes, people may choose DEX, but it still depends on how the DEX manage to make its users as for ease of use, as lots of DEX are horrible of of UI and UX. Also the availability of coins to trade and open source to verify its codes. While the reputation always vary for using centralize exchange, as its lot of risk while storing your funds there.

Our project - TrustDice.win started a Signature Campaign - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5129362.0If you want to join, feel free to leave a comment. Thanks! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) fiy, if you think we are missing something, feel free to tell me. I'll be glad. If there's something missing, its the trustworthiness of the campaign and the manager for paying its future participants. So you need the one who will store the funds as escrow.

I'll recommend mobile wallets to store small amount of coins and should not be used as a cold wallet or for long term hold. Those wallets that was mentioned above has great reputations so I should recommend them too especially the rebrand of green address/wallet which is the blockstream green. Except for this ones below, also jaxx, coinomi, and mycelium coz the development of their IOS is app was left behind than its android app, (ios app version 1.11 while android is version 2.12 already) I don't recommend btc(dot)com or bitpay wallets. (do not use blockchain(dot)info too. Their security sucks)
