If Ireland was able to put some runs on the board then they could trouble them.

They made a total of 200 plus. You can't ask anything more from a team such as Ireland, which always lose their best players to England. The batsmen did what they could, but this time the bowlers failed miserably. Lack of consistency is the problem. Even Josh Little was very expensive during his first spell, before taking three quick wickets to put England in a worrisome position.

Ignore this low post count noob, he is scamming for Titan ,and nothing more, it is very obvious.

And Tether?  WHY would anyone invest in Tether?  It's price is always very close to $1!  There's no buy low/sell high action there!  It's useless!!!

It was quite obvious. I will add Titan to my list of shitcoins, as they are using scammers to promote it. BTW, I have seen at least 4-5 posts here in this forum, arguing that Tether is a good investment option. I fail to understand the logic behind this. If you want to invest in the USD, then you can make the investment directly. Why you want to go for a risky option such as the USDT?
3363  Economy / Economics / Re: US economy suffers worst decline as GDP contracts by 32.9% in the second quarter on: August 03, 2020, 04:34:38 AM
It is true that the EU has recovered quite a bit since the pandemic hit the world, but their economies are in tatters in most places. Majority of the countries like Italy, Spain etc were already facing economic issues even before the pandemic struck them.

It will probably take many years for their economies to fully recover. On the other hand, countries like Australia and New Zealand are doing a spectacular job in comparison based on what I heard.

Italy and Spain were facing issues for quite some time. They are being kept afloat by Germany. Essentially after the departure of the United Kingdom, the EU has become a family business run by Angela Merkel. German fund inflows are keeping the other members alive. But in the long term, this is not going to be beneficial for countries such as Italy. Australia/New Zealand had a strong economy even before the pandemic. And with the mining industry in good condition, Australia has nothing to worry.

Those people expect an instant money to earn in crypto. They don't understand what's all about in crypto when they taught once investment made they can earn instant money. A big lose to those who have lack of knowledge so it is good to search prior investing in crypto.

Take a look at the new users who are registering to this forum. 99% of them would be money-minded. They don't want to work hard, but they expect to become millionaires in a day or two. They always dream about a repeat of what we had in 2012-2017, when the Bitcoin prices went from $10 to $20,000. And these people get disheartened, when they witness the prices remaining stable for many months (or even years).

I’m very disappointed that Ireland did not win yesterday’s game because they truly deserved to win it, and earn those points which would help them qualify for the 2023 World Cup. Also I’m waiting to see which other teams will play under this new format which is launched by the ICC, and lastly I’m excited to find out which teams will qualify for the 2023 World Cup.

Source:

https://www.firstpost.com/firstcricket/sports-news/icc-launches-new-odi-super-league-to-determine-qualifiers-for-2023-world-cup-to-be-held-in-india-8644471.html

This time, they have a proper qualifying format, unlike the sham they had for the 2019 CWC. Out of the 13 teams taking part in the ODI Super League, only 8 teams will be getting the automatic qualification for the 2023 CWC. If you remember, the qualification process for the 2019 Cricket World Cup was very unfair for the associate teams. But still, I would say that we can't call this tournament as a World Cup, if just 10 teams are taking part.
3366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DONT MARRY YOUR ALTCOIN BAGS on: August 02, 2020, 01:20:09 PM
I am pretty sure that most of the people are guilty of just doing that at one point or another, I am definitely not an exception. I am still holding bags of 2017 alts that mooned insanely in the 2017 bull, then they got absolutely reckd in the following bear market. Maybe being emotionally attacked to projects that have hurt me bad (investment wise) over the past bear years makes me a sadist, but if they are going down, I am right there with them.

These coins/tokens are mostly dead. They are having a nominal value, only because there are users like you who continue to hold on to them. But eventually, those who hold these coins are going to dump them, or just ignore them. As time passes by, the trade volume will go down and at a certain point the coin/token will get delisted from the exchanges for lack of activity.
3367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 02, 2020, 01:15:24 PM
Is it proven that it is more difficult to spread in hot environments ? I read that humidity plays a big role, but temperature was not a significant factor.

I had posted this before. The COVID virus is present in micro-droplets, which are released when a person sneezes or coughs. These microdroplets remain more active in temperate climate, while they get quickly evaporated in more warmer regions. That doesn't mean that those living in warm regions can't get the infection from air. It just means that the chances are lower when compared to the colder regions.
3368  Economy / Economics / Re: US economy suffers worst decline as GDP contracts by 32.9% in the second quarter on: August 02, 2020, 01:10:06 PM
Why EU is not suffering like USA from this virus?

EU is also suffering but has completely different approach to the pandemic. EU reacted very early and US was denying that something is actually happening. Alsow, EU started recovery programme for its economy and it's trying to support its member.states ro get out of pandemic and economic crysis. And what are US government and Trump doing? I think you know the master

Agreed. Most of the EU nations seems to have recovered from the pandemic. For example, each of the EU countries which were hit most severely (such as the UK, France, Italy and Spain) used to witness as much as 1,000 deaths per day. Now this figure is down to single digits. That is a 99% reduction (an exception would be the UK, where the reduction is only around 90%). On the other hand, in the United States the daily death toll is still hovering around 1,000-1,500.
3369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: August 02, 2020, 01:05:53 PM
When I doubt that a website can be fake, I always look at reviews on various sites and already form my opinion about this website.

Earlier I used to read reviews from various ICO review sites before investing in any such projects. But later, I realized that many of these review sites are also biased. In some cases they take money from the projects, in return for favorable reviews. So we can't blindly trust any of these sites. It will be better to rely on reviews from multiple review sites, and to do your own research.
3370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: August 02, 2020, 01:00:17 PM
There can be an internal reason why they've been running illegally. There might be a problem as they register because gambling isn't allowed for the locals. But for foreign visitors, they can gamble. It's about licensing and there's a big amount and tax that's involved on this matter.
And for the locals to continue themselves gambling, they don't care if it's a registered or not as long as it is running and they can gamble at their own will.

These restrictions doesn't make any sense. Nowadays people can easily travel from one country to another. Ban on gambling is not very effective, because the gamblers can simply travel to another country and do their trade there. The only impact will be on the country which banned gambling, because they are going to lose tax revenue and job generation. Restrictive laws doesn't work anymore.
3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 02, 2020, 12:50:14 PM
BCCI and all the board focus mainly on the games which give good revenue and i don't think women matches are popular enough. In these times of covid19, they should only focus on men's matches and women matches should be postponed.

Postponed? There is no WIPL to be postponed. The BCCI usually allows a few exhibition matches in between the IPL and that's it. The women's cricketers have been requesting them to start a tournament, but till now the BCCI have ignored their demands. Obviously if they start a tournament, it is not going to benefit them in financial terms. But they need to do something for the women's cricketers, who get paid only a fraction of what the men are getting.
3372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is for day trading on: August 02, 2020, 12:45:10 PM
I see that people support that altcoin suits better for day trading, and not for holding. I just don't get why.
altcoin investment has no prospects for long-term investment, so many investors and cryptocurrency lovers recommend to invest in daily trading.

If a particular cryptocurrency is not suitable for long-term investment, then you can always go for short-term holding, ranging from anywhere between 1 month to 12 months. What is the need to engage in risky day trading? I am saying this because many of the altcoins are heavily manipulated and the prices can swing  by +/- 30% within a few hours. Unless you have an idea about the manipulation, it is very risky to be involved with them.
3373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: August 02, 2020, 12:40:11 PM
i was just talking about the actual chances of winning the bet---not trying to predict which way punters would sway.

my gut feeling is that most of the short list is composed of political duds (bass included) and that's not what democrat strategists are looking for. not only do they get enough of that from biden, but they are grooming the 2024 presidential candidate. even if biden wins, there's no way he's completing two terms.

LOL... Biden is almost 78 years of age. By the time his first term ends, he will be 82. And from what I have heard, he is having all sorts of health issues haunting him even now. Trump is not that young, but he is in a much more healthier state. So it is almost certain that the Democrat VP pick will be the nominee for the 2024 POTUS elections.
3374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your favourite coin and token ? on: August 02, 2020, 12:35:16 PM
there are no safe altcoins. look at the cryptocurrency, how quickly the price of altcoins changes, and what it depends on. usual manipulations.

Bitcoin is also not 100% safe. You need to use relative comparison here. There are some altcoins, which can be trusted more than the others. Examples are Cardano, Ether, Litecoin and NEO. And at the same time, there are altcoins and tokens which can be termed as shitcoins. If you want to be successful while investing, then you need to differentiate between these two types.
3375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: August 02, 2020, 12:30:20 PM
Ireland managed to play their 50 overs and did well to cross 200 runs and were better than the 1st match. England managed to get it quickly in 32.3 overs the target of 213, but in this process lost 6 wickets. But finally they are leading the series by 2-0. Let us see what happens in the final ODI match.

At one point, England was struggling at 141/6 and still required another 70 plus runs with just 4 wickets in hand. But the Irish bowlers failed to pick quick wickets, and as a result they lost the match. This was a golden opportunity for Ireland to grab media headlines, but they wasted it. It was the lower order batsman David Willey who propelled England to victory.
3376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto predictions on: August 02, 2020, 12:25:54 PM
None for me, crypto predictions can be very misleading so I don't bother to make move because I heard of a prediction even if it's from a pro predictors, In the past Ive learned that predictions aren't always true

Same here. None of them are consistent. Some of these experts may predict the prices accurately for a few months. But all of a sudden, their predictions will go haywire. If you rely on them, then you may amass huge losses. The biggest problem is related to the dips (such as the ones we had in 2015 and 2018). I don't think that anyone had accurately predicted those dips.
3377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 02, 2020, 12:19:19 PM
Do not expect amazing test cricket from the Pakistani side. They can win a match but I think it will be hard for them to win the series. I expect repeat telecast of England Vs West indies test series only this time it will be Pakistan replacing the WI.

Even if they win a single test against England, it is going to be an achievement. England is one of the big 3 teams, and they are on top form right now. Also, the win may help them in the World Test Championship table. An overseas victory may help them a lot to maintain their distance with the bottom ranking teams, such as West Indies, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The bounty hunters don't have any collective bargaining power, and this is the reason why the project teams are treating them like beggars. The problem here is that there are too few projects and too many bounty hunters. At least a section of the bounty hunters are ready to join even the most exploitative campaigns. They think that it is important to gain some experience, even if that means that they may go unrewarded.
3379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 02, 2020, 12:01:10 PM
The BCCI is once again giving some lollipops to the women cricketers. Check here:

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/29581951/sourav-ganguly-women-t20-challenge-ipl-very-much-on

Quote
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Sunday said the women's IPL or the Women's T20 Challenge, as it is better known, is "very much on". The men's IPL will be held between September 19 and November 8 or 10 in the UAE due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in India. The women's T20 matches will also be fit into the schedule, according to Ganguly.

He is trying to fool the women cricketers. What they need is a franchise T20 league, similar to the WBBL in Australia. What the BCCI is offering them is a few (2-3) exhibition matches in between the IPL schedule. This reluctance from the part of the BCCI is really surprising. If CA can sponsor a women's tournament, then why can't the BCCI do it? Initially they can go for a small tournament, with just 3-4 teams.
3380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 31, 2020, 11:06:40 AM
England's player are little bit weak against spin bowler.  and you know, India has some world class spin bowlers. Main thing is England team is more stable, and they know much better  how to defeat the opponent. may England won't win the series, but there is no doubt that we will  going to see an exciting and entertaining series. best of luck for England team.

India "had" some world class spin bowlers. But I am not sure whether that is the case now. Bowlers such as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who can't perform in overseas conditions can't be termed as world class players. Anyway, Ashwin is close to retirement age. India had world class spinners, such as Harbhajan Singh. But the current bunch (Ashwin, Kuldeep, Yuzvendra.etc) are not at the same level. Right now, the Indian pace lineup looks world class, but not the spinners.
