3384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Brand new to mining on: October 28, 2014, 07:38:22 PM
If you want to mine, I wouldn't recommend it. But you could use onlne services such as cex.io (you can trade alts and for fiat there too) or pbmining.com.
There you can buy and sell GH/s and earn from the mining of blocks.
All the best with the venture..
3385  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin Faucets, Are they worth it? on: October 28, 2014, 07:37:08 PM
freebitco.in was fun for around 1 day then I gave up.
Don't bother just work for your bitcoins.
Also in 2010, Gavin A. gave away 5 bitcoins at a time to several hundred people in a faucet called bitcointap
3386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: PETITION AMAZON: 4,744 have signed, only 256 more to make 5000! on: October 28, 2014, 07:35:44 PM
Ok Signed.

One question is. After we get the 5000 signatures . What happens?

Amazon will take a look at it and start accepting bitcoin or they still can ignore it?

They may very well ignore it but will notice that 5k people would spend btc which would make them profit a bit more.

Signed!
3387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Artwork sold for 35 BTC in Inside Bitcoins Tel Aviv on: October 28, 2014, 07:34:44 PM
I love that painting, anyone know who the artist is? I don't think this is a one off type of thing because the painting is actually very nice and professional. I could see that hanging on my wall, it would fit right in with all of my other stuff
The artist's name is Xania Dorfman.

Thanks, just found some of her stuff online. If anyone else is interested here is the link

http://xaniadorfman.carbonmade.com/

Thanks for that too.

Is the depiction supposed to be Sat. Nak?
3388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal screw up again [Bitcoin wins] on: October 28, 2014, 07:34:04 PM
ROFL! these fucking motherfuckers.

man, one day i hope we dont need them anymore.

Explain, please. As a buyer I want to be protected by ability to get the money back if I'm not satisfied with the quality of a purchase. Your post looks illogical to me.

I occasionally sell on ebay and this pisses me off. ESP. if I am selling intangible good such as giftcodes. That means I will have 180 days to panic about losing my income from intangible sold goods.
3389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I infected by Trojan Miner ? on: October 28, 2014, 07:33:09 PM
I ran a netstat on my machine and found a certain connection with a foreign address...

pool-108-51-140-90:14905

Does anyone know what is this ? Is it a mining pool where I am connected ?

Check your CPU usage, it should be really high like 60% and above if someone is mining on your computer..

Who would even still try and mine bitcoins with others CPU's.

Back in 2012/13 people would spread viruses that mined on their behalf. I heard of someone making a few bits a day from this by infecting work computers. This was when diff was so much lower though.
3390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More bad publicity - pay us a million in btc or we spread Ebola on: October 28, 2014, 07:31:36 PM
Nice try scammers. It will never work, they likely do not have any substance maybe some fluid which they call "ebola".
Otherwise Czech is doomed for real.

3393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Problem of Centralized Develpoment ("core devs") in Bitcoin. on: October 22, 2014, 06:34:39 PM
There is no voting. When somebody creates a feature, people may adopt it. If enough people adopt it, then everyone will adopt it. Currently, the core devs (and especially the Bitcoin Foundation) have a lot of influence over what people choose to adopt, but that will change over time (hopefully).

Hopefully the part of the BF having an influence changes real soon. I dont trust that site/organisation, if you can even call them that.
3394  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Limited hashing power to eliminate industrial mining. on: October 22, 2014, 06:33:16 PM
I agree it should remain the hands of millions but it went to a few select pools very quickly. Miners found a better way to profit and so pools were formed.
3395  Economy / Services / Re: Content Posters/Writers Paid per post on: October 22, 2014, 06:30:29 PM
Would this be like a signature campaign?
3396  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About smart phone wallets.. on: October 15, 2014, 09:23:00 PM
how about blockchain wallet ?

it has a feature of, 4 digit pin code , and 2fa which is sms code verification.
Don't use the Blockchain wallet.

It reuses addresses by default, which means you have no privacy.

Many people do not care if others see/know they re use addresses, as long as the wallet is secure its fine, unless you have something to hide.
3397  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How much data can the blockchain store? on: October 15, 2014, 09:21:04 PM
Unlimited, it is only restricted by how much we (the users) can store on our own storage devices/hardware.
3398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it possible to create your own DESIRED address? on: October 15, 2014, 09:20:06 PM
Time will depend on how many letters you want.  Even if using a few graphics cards if you get to 8-9 letter ones your looking at possibly a lot of time.

And whether you care about capitals or not. If you want all capitals or a specific arrangement it will take much longer to find
3399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many decimals -> to surpass 20,999,999.99999999 on: October 15, 2014, 09:18:54 PM
? You mean if the halving doesn't end on 1 satoshi, but goes further (0.5 sat; 0.25 sat)?

Block rewards won't reach 1 satoshi.
Someone correct me if im wrong.
3400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Blockchain on: October 15, 2014, 09:10:17 PM
Most new users open web wallets which act as a main centralised point (the full blockchain is downloaded on their own servers, once for all users)
