3381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: September 30, 2022, 08:54:14 PM
Macau is the only place I have experience with, Vegas remains to be a dream. But of course, online gambling experience is what I'm focusing currently and I'm having fun exploring other platforms and check what they have in store for me. As for my Macau experience, it is somewhat a normal one since most of what they offer there, I get in the Philippines—at least what I experienced. Meals that they offer are good, the casino proper is not that crowded, and there is a semblance of elegance everywhere. Also, lots of gambling houses can be seen in just a single street, kind of what they have in Vegas IMO.
3382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: September 30, 2022, 06:49:55 PM
That is extremely rude, and the mother should be held legally liable on whatever happens on her son. Most probably the 4-year old son would be put to use in some kind of labor or whatever that the owner of the casino deem fit. The mother is so far into gambling that she consciously made the decision to leave and use her son as a collateral, and that is already a tell-tale sign that the mother has something going on with her mind. On the part of the gambling platform however, they should also be fined for accepting the kid for collateral because that can also be considered as human trafficking.
3383  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Exclusion of Chicken Invaders: the Xmas version (My favourite) on: September 29, 2022, 11:56:07 PM
And now I want to try that game too Cheesy As someone who grew up in the era of Atari, this is something that reminds me of Space Invaders with just some cool graphics in this day and age. If you happen to got the link then let me know. However though, how do you 'win' on these types of games? Do you have to clear the board like the mechanics of the game I mentioned, or is there any other mechanics that I need to know? Because frankly if clearing the board is the only mechanic to win, I assume that the prizes would be low because doing that is ridiculously easy.
3384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can whitepaper still shows the weakness of a project and their team on: September 29, 2022, 11:31:20 PM
Yes.

One can easily do a search and compare wordings on different whitepapers. Most of the time, whitepapers from new projects are just rehashed version of other whitepapers from other projects. They just change the words and technical terms but the style is mostly consistent all throughout the document. If the team can't create their own whitepaper outlining their project in every detail, I guess that should be an indicator for you to not invest your money on this project at all.

We are getting closer and closer to last TI qualifiers and personally , I still want to see Secret making to TI or VP. Also , who do you favor for winning TI ? I would say LGD still has the first chance but second chance , I will have to give it to Entity and Stormstormer as this team is on fire right now and very hard to play against.
Entity is the team in form at the moment but T1 is whole different beast than usual tournaments and I am not sure how they will react to the biggest stage possible.

Still last chance qualifiers to be had and I can't wait to see which teams will get their place at T1. Lots of great teams here and should be one hell of intro to the real thing Smiley

Question now is if Entity can carry that momentum forward once they step in on the TI stage. They are one hell of a team and they can surely carry their own against big teams out there, but there are still strong teams qualified and it's a herculean task for them to win against all odds. Could be another cinderella story but LGD is the heavy favorites, just because of how badly they want Ame to win his TI.
3386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 29, 2022, 06:14:33 PM
The thing is, it's not easy to invest in these entities unless you have millions to use as a capital for investment. They'd probably focus more on the big fishes to keep on funding their platform rather than small timers like us to give them a steady stream of funding. While on paper, with these numbers included, it is a no-brainer to invest on these platforms, in practice (especially crypto gambling platforms) your investment can only last for a few months before it gets used up by the casino as a payout for their winners.
3387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 05:40:52 PM
I'd probably just follow the law and just find another hobby. It's way easier to give it up and do my normal thing and wait for other people more dedicated than me to make a move rather than throw myself in front of the deluge and get myself imprisoned. I only gamble to kill time and enjoy a bit but I can definitely live without it. I just haven't found the time to allocate on some other things other than gambling on Saturdays. The government can enforce this immediately, and I wouldn't care that much if all gambling websites will be blocked.
3388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 28, 2022, 10:47:04 PM
At the end of the day, parents are hugely responsible for what their kids have become since they should be the ones checking on them while they are growing up. In the case of what OP shared, I guess the parent should be at fault since they should have guided their son to not let those things happen. They are still legally responsible for their son too, so I think Jordan should take the responsibility for his son's actions, especially the underage drinking part. Michael's lifestyle reflects what his son did, and there is obviously something wrong with that. Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can do everything and anything especially if it breaches some laws, but oh well.
3389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Kwon on the run, Binance becomes the target of the LUNC community. on: September 28, 2022, 08:16:49 PM
Interpol already issued red notice for do kwon. It seems like this guy has become interpol's new target. In my opinion if the regulators must also investigate binance or even issuing a warning to banning binance. Binance must be sanctioned along with another exchange sites that is still making any coin issued by do kwon to be traded on exchange site. I can argue that do kwon still owned some luna in his wallet and this may become a way to funded him. Binance must be sanctioned by US

Pretty sure they are already crafting the actions that they're going to do against Binance. CZ could have made the obvious decision to pull out LUNA and other such related coins to Do Kwon but he never did even though they are aware of the current situation. Binance should have set an example for other exchanges but they perhaps they have other things in mind. Maybe they are with Do Kwon, or maybe they themselves are holders of LUNA. Whatever the case is, Binance should be cooperative to the law enforcement but that's not what's happening here.
3390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gacha Game on: September 28, 2022, 05:52:41 PM
For those who don't know, a gacha game is a genre of video game where players pull, spin, or roll using an in-game currency to receive a random item. That item can be something that could make their characters stronger or sometimes it's just some limited skin which has no effect other than to make their characters look cooler.
I've never tried a gacha game, at first glance it's almost similar to mobile legend. But in general the games that I tried using cryptocurrency, in the early stages already had to buy characters, so this made us think again to continue. They do not provide free items that make us comfortable. If we already have comfort with a game, of course we will pay any cost to continue the game.
I like playing games, and any game I find I'll still try, if it's interesting to me, then I'll continue to do it even if the game does not provide income. Sometimes games relieve our stress.
I will try with this one game that you mentioned.

Gacha is a category of game, and is not a game in itself. It means that you are playing on a game.of luck when you want to get the characters and items that you really want that will help you progress with the game faster and more efficiently. Usually these games are money sinks and aren't really worth playing in the long run if you care about your finances and your savings. Used to play a gacha game that made me spend over a few thousand dollars and I'm glad that I got over it.
3391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 28, 2022, 10:43:35 AM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.
It really depends on the social circles in which you are moving, I know a lot of people that gamble and I have never heard from any of them that somehow they are being discriminated against by that fact.

However if you have a job that has to do with managing money or which requires that you have an image as clean as possible like a teacher then it may be a good idea to not reveal this, and if someone happens to discover it then you need to show that it is simply harmless fun and that you do not have any kind of gambling problem.

Hopefully it's just as easy as you say it, but the judgment will linger longer than you can think of. I work in an environment closely to the academe and I have mentors and mentees who look up to me in a way. When they first found out about my gambling habits, they tend to distance themselves initially and limited their interaction with me when it comes to money matters. It's a long and tiring process to convince them that you're not who they think you are, but eventually they understood and slowly took that judgment off me but some of it still shows on their subtle jokes. I never had a problem with chasing losses nor using more money than I can afford on gambling but most of the time people are just too quick to jump on the gun.
3392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unfortunately, LocalBitcoins.com does not longer offer trading services in your… on: September 27, 2022, 11:10:20 AM
Try Bybit P2P exchange feature which US citizen is still allowed to use. It has no KYC requirements but you will have limit to your account but still good if you are a normal user with 1000$ limit per day for KYC. This is the only CEX that I know that offer non KYC customers the freedom to use there platform that still have a good limit compared to existing CEX in the market.

I thought they remove this feature some time ago? Or is it just for us here in Asia? Huh

But yeah, aside from Bybit, localcryptos like others mentioned is one thing that I remember that can help you trade P2P with no KYC. It's unfortunate that all these P2P exchange are slowly dying out in the era of CEX domination. KYC is also slowly creeping in on a lot of exchanges that were previously not affected by KYC. We know that this time will come but it's still quite saddening.
3393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 26, 2022, 11:10:00 PM
Abit early but here is my bet for the ESL Pro League tomorrow

Combined odds @4.4 and its nothing too special at this odds. Also took a single bet on Furia to win against Outsiders with higher stake, pretty sure that Furia are going to smash outsiders there and the odds are much better than I thought it would be so yeah there is no reason to skip this one

I picked Furia too because they've been killing it lately and they would surely be a huge contender against Outsiders. Also wanted to give KScerato a chance again since he let me down a number of times when I used to bet on Furia. Dude's a strong player but highly inconsistent, and oftentimes is being carried by teammates to a win but I still want him to step up and 'feel' like he makes up for the losses he had given me Cheesy Also Outsider's last match might have gotten into them, but still they are quite the favorite in this match up for some reason.
3394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 26, 2022, 10:13:49 PM
I personally wouldn't care at all. It would even be better for me to let them know about the nature of my hobby and let them understand that if done properly, it won''t affect anything regarding my finances and life. Sometimes people need education in order to understand the things that they don't know about. It's a lot easier to do that rather than be judged based on what they do. It might even promote updstanding citizens if they checked all sides of the before casting their judgment on someone.
I truly value this comment as it contains all the ingredients on public judgment on individuals in the society and cooperate bodies, the truth is one needs to arrive at a stage where what the public stereotypes judgment and opinion is doesn't matter to you anymore as long as you carry your life and responsibility accurately whatever your personal life is doesn't matter. And there is a need for adequate understanding before judgment because people do things according to their experiences in life so costing a stone before verification and information always leads to poor judgment.

Unless a law is already past I. Such behavior and judgment given.

The reason why a lot of people are against gambling because they only see the extreme negatives but not those who use it as an escape or as a means to enjoy without damaging their lives. If people can only learn how to check all sides and cover all bases before judging, this wouldn't happen. The gambling industry is responsible for creating tons of job opportunities all around the world, but people are only zooming in on the problematic gamblers and I think that has to change somewhat.
3395  Economy / Economics / Re: GPU price in China drop to their lowest level in histor after the ethereum merge on: September 26, 2022, 09:04:07 PM
I wasn't surprised at all. Most of the GPU sales in the past few years were motivated by crypto mining, mostly for ETH. Finally it alleviated the pressure on GPU manufacturers and finally other sectors can already enjoy buying GPUs at lower prices. The ETH merge may have been extremely shaky, but it sure does benefit some other sectors even though there are still frsgments of PoW believers that are still clinging to their GPUs to mine their forked coins.

I expect a flood of used GPUs in the market in the next month. Those miners can try to use it on other coins but for sure they'd just use the proceeds to buy more coins for staking ETH.

Primedice and freebitco.in.

These two are still going strong after all these years, and have built a very active community and a huge playerbase with lots of loyal patrons. Even I remember the transition of freebitco.in from a dedicated btc faucet up until its transition to a casino. They just focused on their brand and just did what they do best, and people supported them for that. Community relations also go a long way. During Primedice and freebitco.in early days, a lot of their reps are active and can easily be approached.

3398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth merge and fork on: September 26, 2022, 03:22:38 PM
EthereumPoW (ETHW) is a hardfork of ether after the merge. Some miners wants to continue to use miners to mine ether, but ether is now using PoS instead of PoW. Because of this, during the merge, few miners support PoW which result to the hardfork known as ETHW now.

so can we see that coin anywhere ? does it exist ?
Yes. Check the exchanges it is listed on using the link below.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum-pow/markets/
oh i just checked it and looks like worthless. does it still  support smart contract  functionality ?

It is trading over 10$ a token, how can you say it is worthless? It is not yet possible to draw a conclusion whether this ETHW is useless or will grow in the future. It is too early to declare anything. These days a lot of investors sold it after receiving the airdrop, but I believe it will have a great hype before its fate is decided.

BCH and other bitcoin forks used to be this way, and in the end the community decided that their money is better invested on the main network instead of a fork that has a lot of issues in the community and implementations as well. ETHW's principle is kinda noble, considering that a lot of people supported this fork and maintained it until the end. Just another community divide I guess, that a lot of people are cashing in.
3399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Twitch is going to ban most crypto gambling streamers. Where will Drake go now? on: September 26, 2022, 09:53:24 AM
You're wrong here, Twitch doesn't ban gambling streamer e.g. Drake because he's gambling on sport betting, not luck based games e.g. slots, roulette, dice etc. The problem is Twitch banning the site e.g. Stake, if Stake separate his casino site and sportsbook site, of course they will can advertise on Twitch.

What do you mean exactly with this? If Stake, as a separate entity, goes live on Twitch that is okay? Stake is a gambling entity, and it's not safe from Twitch's ban since they are a gambling platform.

Youtube is worst than Twitch, so I don't think there's another good platform for Drake except Twitch since the other platforms doesn't popular.

For now there aren't any alternatives. Twitch is the best out of there as of now and there's no changing that any time soon. Dlive is a good platform but very few viewers at a time, although I think Drake can pull a lot of viewers since a lot of huge Twitch names in the past managed to pull viewers from Twitch to other live streaming platform (Mixer) in the past with enough hype and advertisement of the switch.
3400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: September 26, 2022, 09:17:20 AM
I'd bet on Jake just because he's the one who initiated this fight and for his previous bouts against MMA legends, he won those with questionable performances from his enemies. Might be the same outcome in here if Silva is motivated only by money, which somewhat shows on some interviews that were done to him. +100 isn't also a bad odd to bet on considering that Jake Paul is also a capable boxer in his own regard. If skills and grit I'd say Silva, but again this is a Paul initiated fight and that should suggest you something.
