Transfer rumours:

Real Madrid's Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard, has asked to leave the club. What happens to this young player who was supposed to be a future star at Real?
Liverpool and Barcelona have not given up hope of signing Bayern Munich and Austria defender David Alaba, despite Real Madrid being close to a deal. Everyone seems to want Alaba and the question is what does he want? Grin
Inter Milan and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, has no interest in joining Manchester City. Is that finally the end of this story? Lukaku doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

More bad news from Australia, ''Two more players 'test positive' amid quarantine row''.
How this will affect the tournament and what if there are more infected players?
Tournament organizers now really have a very difficult job preparing this tournament.
It seems to me that the chance of postponing the tournament is increasing.

3383  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: January 20, 2021, 09:15:25 AM

Wink

Hvala, to sam ubacio samo da vidim kako mi kampanje izgledaju kad ispunim formu. Tu kampanju ću kasnije maknuti jer sam tekst pokupio od drugih stranica.
Zato sam i stavio crowdfunding umjesto humanitarne akcije.

3385  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: January 19, 2021, 08:08:13 PM

I kako to dokazati?

PS dobro nam dosli u EUSSR!

3393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The 27th World Handball Championship 2021! on: January 17, 2021, 01:07:14 PM
And already at the beginning of this competition, the first big surprise happened. Japan played 29:29 with one of the big favorites of the competition, Croatia.
Croatian players always seem to have the problem of underestimating weaker teams and a more relaxed approach to the match.
I hope the players will forget this match as soon as possible and play much more seriously remaining matches in the group.
I believe that very few people bet on this result and that the gains were great.

Quite so, it seems that Croatian players have issues with weeker teams, it's something that should be dealt with by their coach. However, I still see them as favourites and it's not too late to make the things right. Next match is the chance for them to get back on the track.i still bet on them so so I hope I will not be disappointed at the end.

It seems that this is part of the Croatian mentality, that they always play less motivated against weaker teams and give 100% only against the strongest teams.
However, there are no weak teams in this championship and you need to have a serious approach in every game, which Croatian players have probably realized now.
Another big surprise happened at the World Cup, Russia beat Slovenia 31:25 which is just a confirmation of how unpredictable and uncertain this competition is.

You can express gratitude in another way, by replying to his post, in a private message, or adding him to members you trust.

No.

That's buying trust with merits and should be taken into consideration whenever you want to "return the favour" of having been showered with merits, especially from a merit source.

Okay, you're right, I used the wrong word and corrected it, my mistake.
I was actually going to say that we can show gratitude in a number of ways but it's important that we don't do it in a way that can raise suspicions that it's some kind of counter-service.
Of course you're going to respect the person who helped you with the merits, maybe you'll trust that person in other things but the trust network is a whole different thing.
3396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 17, 2021, 09:29:52 AM
Arsenal and Mesut Özil announced that they mutually terminated the agreement. This news brought Mesut one step closer to Fenerbahçe. Good luck to Fenerbahce.

Probably best for both Arsenal & the player. It can’t be fun for Ozil being cast aside with no games & for the club, he was being paid very well to effectively do nothing.

That's good for Ozil, finally, he can leave Arsenal and he can play again in a team that really needs him. If the relationship between the player and the coach becomes complicated, then his chance to get into the first team is very tough, and that's what happened to Ozil in Arsenal. So the decision to leave Arsenal was the right choice for him.

Though it would be great if Juventus wanted to accommodate Ozil because he would be able to reunite with Ronaldo. Maybe Juventus have other considerations why they refused Ozil at that time.

It's obvious that the relationship between Arsenal and Ozil broke down a long time ago and he should have left the club a long time ago.
The only reason Ozil has stayed in the arsenal for so long seems to be actually his high salary.
Returning to Turkey is a realistic possibility because even the Turkish president was involved in the planning, according to some rumors.
Given everything that’s been going on with Ozil lately I think any club will think twice before they bring him, including Juve.
3397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 17, 2021, 09:22:55 AM
Australian Open 2021 really didn't start well.
I just read this news: ''Forty-seven players to quarantine in Melbourne after Covid cases on flights. Two-time champion Victoria Azarenka and former US Open champion Sloane Stephens are reportedly among those affected.''
AO seems to be facing very serious problems right now, and even before the start of the competition.
Maybe the organizers should have waited with the start of this competition?
These are already very serious problems that have nothing to do with sports but affect all tennis players.
What do you think?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/55687722

Yes this is not good news at all. I just don't understand why players are boarding planes with other passengers, you would think that all the players would come together after being tested before boarding the plane. There now could be a chance that the AO gets called off or maybe pushed back but from what I understand, the Victorian government doesn't want to do that and wants to go ahead because they are worried about losing the Grand Slam to another country. This is the problem now, do you protect the people or worry about losing the Grand Slam to another country and right now its looking like its the money that's more of a concern then the people.

Dang, this is very upsetting news, yeah I wouldn't be surprised if either the tournament are going to be pushed again or totally cancelled because of this very sad news. Dilemma for the government, I really don't know what is the best next step for now.

If it push through then we will see less players in the field, I do hope though they going with the February date  with very strict health protocols, otherwise no AO this year.

It's very difficult to control such a large number of tennis players and such incidents are always possible and expected.
What will happen in the end and whether this tournament will be held as planned or will be postponed probably no one can say for sure, at least for now.
Unfortunately, I personally think there is a real possibility of postponement of the tournament and also a complete cancellation if situation become worse.

It’s kind of complicated for me here as a new member about the concept of sMerit, initially to be very honest I feel  obligated when someone sends me merit. Until I read the forum rules carefully and fully understood the main idea of sMerit so I don’t reciprocate to merit given to me by others on the purpose of trying to pay back but I give my merit to quality post and vital information to the forum.

I think it's natural and logical to think that way.
I suggest that you look at merits as a tool with which you can reward someone's effort and time, which they invested in their post, and thus help other members with some useful information.
You can express gratitude in another way, by replying to his post, in a private message etc.
3399  Other / Meta / Re: Users who are blocked without even writing a single post on the forum on: January 17, 2021, 09:01:36 AM
I wonder how many users that had no previous contact with bitcoin, never bought or sell any would do that for the first time just to get an access to this forum. By the way, how much is that evil fee at the moment?
Not much, but presumably some if they are low enough.
Based on that older data that LoyceV found, approximately 2% of those paid the fee but what surprised me is that fee is much higher than I expected. I somehow thought that it is in the range of a few k satoshis, so more like a symbolic amount, but not 0.0011BTC. So high enough to stop abusers but not too high in order not to deter people from bitcointalk. And those are the numbers of users that paid the fee when BTC was much lower. If there was no evil fee reduction in the meantime, that would mean that someone would have to pay almost 40 USD to remove that thing. In that case, percentage can be only lower.

One more question: when you pay the evil IP fee, does this resets "evil" back to zero so IP is clean from that moment?

This is a really big amount, bigger than I thought.
I think real scammers will easily bypass this payment and register from another IP address so this will not prevent them from registering on the forum.
On the other hand, people who have nothing to do with bitcoin and any scams and have heard for the first time about bitcoin and this forum will simply give up and never come back.
Is that really what we want to achieve with this rule of evil fee?

Many beginners start their Crypto race with the wrong impression about cryptocurrency. They don’t have good knowledge about Cryptocurrency and want to make huge millions in a couple of years. They invest hugely into Cryptocurrency and many fall in the hand of Crypto evil doers.

I have been on the Internet for a very long time and people have believed since the beginning of the Internet that a lot of money can be made on the Internet without concrete work and effort.
People used to invest in mlm schemes or revenue sharing programs without a specific product or service and now they believe they just need to invest some money in cryptocurrencies and wait to become rich.
Beginners should first be well informed about cryptocurrencies and have realistic expectations otherwise they may lose everything here, both their money and time.
Wrong judgments and decisions can result in disaster and many losses.
