3381  Economy / Goods / Selling Collector Silver Coins on: October 20, 2012, 05:41:18 PM
CLOSED

I have decided to keep the Panda, so it is no longer for sale. I will more thoroughly close the thread as soon as I have confirmation that the Maples have been received.

Hey guys, I've got a few coins from my personal collection that I'm interested in selling. For them I'll accept, BTC, LTC, or maybe trade for Hardware, as I'm looking to set up a mining rig, or, you know what? Surprise me, it never ceases to amaze and amuse me the sorts of things I see people selling here. If you have something interesting to trade, let me know  Grin just nothing that can only be found on the SR.

For sale is 1x 1 Oz 2012 MS 70 Early Release Chinese Silver Panda graded by NGC.
and         2x  1 Oz 2012 Reverse Proof PCGS SP Gem Mint Silver Maple Leaves with Dragon Privy Mark.  Sold
Please see pics below.

http://imgur.com/eIw0r,V9Qi5,BxHbe

I'm asking $100 for the Panda, and $55 each for the Maple's, Shipping included.

I have done quite a few silver buy/sell deals, so buy with confidence  Grin

Edit Price reduced by about 10%  because I was basing off of Ebay prices
3382  Other / Meta / Re: Incompetent tag? on: October 20, 2012, 01:46:58 PM
I agree with the asshole tag, because then people will know that they may not be a scammer, but they will more than likely be unpleasant to deal with.

Anyway, there needs to be different tags, because a lot of these "scam" cases that are coming up are in a very grey area, and aren't necessarily scamming, but there is something wrong.
3383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tip: accepting paypal more safely! on: October 20, 2012, 01:44:00 PM
Branching off of this a little, you can mark it as payment owed, and then have them write a little note saying that they have received their product, everything is as described, and this is for payment owed.

Or better yet, have them mark it as payment owed for a service, and then think up of some stupid service that you could have done.

Awww, that blows
3385  Economy / Goods / Re: Public Contract between Heruspex and Myself on: October 19, 2012, 03:32:24 PM
Alright! Went over to my neighbors house and got the first pair. I am satisfied, and request that Tangiblecryptography release 1/2 of the escrow amount. I look forward to getting the second pair.

Just need you to post your BTC address Heruspex.
3386  Economy / Goods / Re: Public Contract between Heruspex and Myself on: October 19, 2012, 02:56:11 PM
Update, marked as delivered via tracking, but didn't arrive. I called the post office this morning, and spoke to the mail carrier, they said they had delivered the package, and described the house, well... looks like they delivered it to my next door neighbor. I will go over and pick it up after they get home from work.

Sorry about the delay, but at least it wasn't lost in a processing plant somewhere  Grin
3387  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer tag: Nefario. on: October 19, 2012, 01:20:09 PM
You know its going to be a good day when Goat, and two Moderators are arguing amongst themselves, making them look like jackasses. Moderator calling out other Moderators, and Goat being involved? (Well I guess the Goat thing is normal) but Badbear, you should really be ashamed of yourself...

Protecting your reputation as a "scammer investigator" Roll Eyes. You once tried to threaten someone with a scammer tag for saying he slept with Pirate's sister as a joke. I'm glad theymos doesn't trust you enough to apply tags yourself, that looks to have been a good call on his part.

Yeah that sure is the attitude that makes someone want to use the forums, mods bashing other mods... Feel free to have different opinions, but I believe you two should probably have some sort of professional relationship? You are representing BTC-Talk, and its looking more and more like a shit hole every day because of these long drawn out drama threads.

WHEN THERE IS A SCAM INVESTIGATION, AND THE PERSON GETS THE TAG, LOCK THE THREAD! Do we really need to discuss it for the upcoming few years?

It would be nice to know why some one got a tag...

aren't you just upset that he didn't get the tag for delisting your assets, but instead for shutting down a major exchange with no warning, leaving investors in the black, with asset holders and listers scrambling for a way to fix this, but instead of providing any info at all, or any form of solution, just not responding at all?

If you are genuinely interested in Nefario's scammer tag for reasons other than what I said, then I apologize.

*Edit*  ^ Apologize to Goat, not Badbear for looking like an ass.

I'd say about 5 bitcoins is reasonable.

the 5 BTC would probably cover shipping. Maybe. All of those boxes would need to go into a large box, which won't be cheap to ship.

edit* Actually never mind, shipping from the EU wouldn't be that bad. I wouldn't suggest getting them from the U.S/Canada though.
3390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] PPCoin finds new lows on high volume, PPCoin Exchanges limit withdrawals on: October 18, 2012, 10:35:35 PM
Please don't think that Smoothie represents LTC in any way, he just so happens to be a LTC user. If Coblee on the other hand comes in here and starts talking shit about PPC... well, I suppose you can take that a bit more seriously.

The last thing we need is another BTC Vs. SLC war, especially when Smoothie represents nothing but his own opinion.
3391  Economy / Goods / Re: Public Contract between Heruspex and Myself on: October 18, 2012, 10:04:52 PM
let me know if the first pair meet your expectations and ill put the other in the mail

Thanks

The first pair hasn't been delivered yet. We are both checking the tracking info shortly, and I will contact the post office to see if they are holding them for whatever reason if it doesn't help.

EDIT the tracking says that it was delivered today, but I received no mail at all today (not even junk mail), I will be contacting the post office in the morning, and getting this all settled.
3392  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Supplies! on: October 18, 2012, 07:23:35 PM
Wouldn't a 5% discount on shipping be like... 50 cents?
3393  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] MSI H61M-P23, cpu, ram and pcie extenders on: October 18, 2012, 07:06:39 PM
Oke, well I'm on the hunt for a new Mobo now, so my offer of 5.5 BTC is void.

Good luck you two.
3394  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Gross incompetence by MtGox in handling sensitive AML info. on: October 18, 2012, 06:30:54 PM
Update:

USPS now shows delivered.  I guess that can be really good or really bad.

If you don't get a confirmation from Gox, saying that they got it, make sure you watch your credit score really closely.
3395  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Gross incompetence by MtGox in handling sensitive AML info. on: October 18, 2012, 05:02:02 PM
Now back to Mt. Gox.

Have really still not responded here or to TC directly through support??

I find it a bit odd that DaT hasn't replied, so maybe he got a direct answer out of Gox, and is working with them via pm or email.
3396  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Gross incompetence by MtGox in handling sensitive AML info. on: October 18, 2012, 04:06:25 PM
Why the hell is the focus of this thread no longer on the issue that the OP and others are having with Gox, and now on Bitinstant?

Perhaps because Bitinstant's CEO appeared to defend Mtgox's actions instead of Mtgox/Mark showing up on the thread?

Charlie's fixed his end of the deal, imo. I have little hope that Mtgox will do the same.

I see in his original post before he fixed it, "Its their fault", "Calling it gross incompetence may be out of line", and "To rectify the situation, I suggest MtGox pay for the shipping costs all 3 times."

I don't see to much defending besides saying that it was an honest mistake.
3397  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Gross incompetence by MtGox in handling sensitive AML info. on: October 18, 2012, 03:59:26 PM
Why the hell is the focus of this thread no longer on the issue that the OP and others are having with Gox, and now on Bitinstant? I'm pretty sure Charlie basically said, that things happen, and now its Gox's turn to fix it. He wasn't letting them off the hook, just saying a mistake had been made, and now its time for Gox to fix it. No defending Gox, no attacking Gox, just saying they didn't change the address, so they should fix the entire situation...

The Original Quote from Charlie before he clarified.

They just moved to a new office like 2 weeks ago, and probably forgot to update the address on that page of their website.

Although its their fault, I wouldn't be too pissed off because its an easy mistake to overlook and can happen to anyone.

Calling it gross incompetence may be out of line. While your information is extremely sensitive, even you could have made the same mistake if you were in their position.

To rectify the situation, I suggest MtGox pay for the shipping costs all 3 times. If I were in your shoes, that would make me happy.

Also, the AML rules are not their own, they have to follow the standard of both Japan and the USA (Japan being much more strict) but it allows them to stay operationally legal in both jurisdictions.

In short, It was a mistake that happened, now its time for Gox to pay for the shipping due to their mistake, and fix the situation. Am I not reading deep enough into his words to see the underlying conspiracy?

A celeron is not an i3.

Yeah I made the same mistake, didn't notice that he probably listed the Celery price because that was what was in it.

Is this the 512 MB or 256 MB RAM version?

What would shipping on that many cards/components be?
