Gilas finishes fourth in Amman as fightback vs Tunisia falls short

The Philippines lose because they did not play Ange Kouame, their naturalized player, I bet for the Philippines but unfortunately, they did not as competitive as they were when they beat Tunisia, of course, Ange Kouame was playing that time.

I think even with Kouame on board, not an assurance that they will win.

They came from a 2-game losing streak, with Kouame playing, prior to that match. What I noticed is, other cadets are not playing well. Even the hyped Thirdy Ravena doesn't seem to show performing well.

More importantly, some cadets are slowly gaining experience playing in the international leagues. Soon to be riped.
3382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 02, 2021, 10:56:55 PM
I think it's easier for Antetokounmpo to get out of the Bucks than to bring an allstar to Milwaukee.
For example, I believe it is more plausible for Antetokounmpo to go to the Warriors, Clippers or Nets, than Klay, Kawhi or KD to team up with Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.
Which NBA team wouldn't want Antetokounmpo to play for their team? lol, pretty much all (or maybe most)

Actually, that subject shouldn't be discussed for now because in case you missed it, Giannis says he won't work with other superstars.

I mean, if we dig more about that, it's not making sense since, after all, the primary player we are talking about is not even interested. Since if he really wants to transfer, he can do it before as they are choking in the playoffs despite having a good record year by year.

He mentioned some of his thoughts related to working with superstars in the NBA Finals interview.
3383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nesthy Petecio vs Irie Sena Olympic Gold Match on: August 02, 2021, 10:40:18 PM

No wonder Nesthy is the favorite. It's no secret that her rally in the Olympics got hyped especially when she was finally able to secure an Olympic medal. She is seen as more motivated and aggressive and that alone is hard to deal with.

I hope the decision will not be affected because her opponent is playing in her home country. That's bad for the sport or this prestigious event if cheating is happening, and I think it will not happen as Japanese promoters unity than the competition.

What are you saying, guys? Olympics referees are experienced ones and they came from different nationalities. They are professional. In an event that the result is questionable, the world is watching. So far, all officiating is good and fair. It won't likely happen that they will ruin the Olympic Gold match between Nesthy and Irie.
3384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 02, 2021, 10:21:34 PM
I am not sure if you really needs this beginners guide because the way i check your account it seems that you are already an experience gambler and needs nothing to learn at all.

Checking his post, yes, he quite started gambling for a long and also understands the risks of doing it.

But OP pointed out that on Page 2 that he's having difficulty how to place a bet on a proper multiplier and the amount that should be placed - on a game like dice, slots, and crash.

I don't think that's a problem since, after all, every bet will have a random algorithm. OP just needs to continue playing on it and be used to it.
3385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: August 02, 2021, 10:07:11 PM
If you think logically, gambling companies are supposed to be entertainment; however, some people are taking it seriously in order to earn large sums of money, and it is their fault for having that mindset and not being concerned about their financial situation.

It's not totally wrong to treat gambling seriously for a purpose of earning large sums of money. For a gambler, I like that mindset rather than the common quote here to only gamble the amount afford to lose and just gamble for fun. With that mindset and target to earn large money, it will make a gambler serious and focus making it the reason why should they won, at least.

But unfortunately, as you have mentioned, others aren't being concerned about their financial situation and it now affects their life outside gambling. It's something that gambling companies don't have control so it's not valid if they will be held responsible for that.
3386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: August 02, 2021, 12:11:43 PM
Compare to slapping tournament, boxing tournament is much more safer because they are being trained to be physically and mentally prepared for the upcoming match, unlike slapping tournament that people are just practicing to hit anything to make their slap stronger but never train themselves to survive the slap that is going to be made in every match, that's my opinion to that.

And if I'm not mistaken, the slapping tournament was started from "fun" and because it was able to attract more viewers, it's now become an entertainment sport. At first, a simple face-off then the match will start. No category, no given tier, everything is settled just be agreement.

Obviously, a much less professional approach compare to boxing where everything is well prepared beforehand and there's a certain tier (weight class).

... that they're lucky to be making tons of money out of their passion as a professional athlete.

You nailed it, making money out of their own interest. It's like that they are being paid for something that they really like.
3387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 02, 2021, 02:38:43 AM
I still say again, if there are no injuries throughout the season, practically the NBA finals will be Lakers vs. Nets
Of course, we will have to analyze how the other teams will prepare for this new season!

You guys still can't move on that supposed Lakers vs. Nets last season if ever they are healthy. Cheesy

Logically speaking, based on the whole roster power, those teams are the champions already. But in actual play, even for let's say they are 100% healthy, there will surely be an adjustment that will be made on their opposing teams in the playoffs.

Giannis is always on fire on all their playoffs losses. What's more, if his backup will do the same.

Anyways, this is just a product of my own view. Smiley
3388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 02, 2021, 02:10:24 AM
Hmmm, what you said makes a lot of sense, I didn't think about that possibility, France have a chance of going to the finals.

It will be a competitive game, but I still believe Slovenia will to the finals.

Hold on, guys. Before that possibility of France vs Slovenia, they need to settle things first on their respective matches in the next round.

For Italy vs France, the former isn't a team that can be taken lightly. Their only 1 loss against undefeated Australia is a close match and ended up in just a 3 point lead. That's why even France is considered one of the tops as they beat the USA, people should expect that Italy will able to give a good close game against them.

For Slovenia vs Germany, I will be biased for Slovenia lol because of Luka being on my long-time fave team in NBA, Dallas Mavericks (I'm with Germany before when Dirk Nowitzki, still on Dallas Mavericks, is actively playing). But technical analysis-wise, Germany is also a team that can't be taken lightly.

And aside from that, the next round is a knockout round so no room for bad and worst performance so players will surely give their all. All teams on the next round are exciting to watch.
3389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 02, 2021, 01:52:56 AM
I don't think it affects casinos that much unless they use super valuable coins like bitcoin because transfer costs of that coin also rises when its price rises.

It's 1:1. Gambling sites have large reserves (they should have) of certain coins e.g bitcoin on their respective cold wallet so regardless of BTC up or down, the fees used will still be in BTC value.

If the price goes down however, the casinos bankroll would also go down and big USD holders may try to bankrupt the casino by wagering big amounts. It is an unlikely situation but not impossible.

I don't know where you got that idea but that is unlikely to happen.

What's the connection of price decline for casino bankroll to go down? The gambling on that platform will still be on their usual operation regardless of the price up or down. There are big losers, there are gainers, etc. as usual.

And I doubt a great number of big whales will attempt to bankrupt the casino. Why should they? What if they lose? That was a worst idea providing the fact that it's impossible to beat the casino 100% in the long run.
3390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 02, 2021, 12:46:11 AM

Glad to see PH will once again take a chance for a possible 2 Gold Medal both by boxing (men and women division). These 2 are now assured of a bronze or silver medal regardless.

If they will successfully snatch it, first time again in PH Olympic history. Few medals compare to other countries but a big achievement as PH is not really expected to bag a medal even a bronze one.

Searching on what sports we are able to take a good shot, it's boxing. A total of 7 out of 13 medals in history came from boxing after the final tally.
3391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 01, 2021, 11:47:06 PM
it seems like they are not using Perkins and Manuel's talents properly.

I don't see it that way. They did their best. It's just that they fell short and that was common even for a team that doing their very best. The game is close and no reason to looked at why they lose. TNT on the other hand also did their best that's why they were able to snatch the win. Phoenix has surely taken note of that loss.

Mikey Williams has to improve, there's no excuse even if he is still a rookie, Pogoy's minutes have dropped I believe because TNT had invested in Willams who are still struggling in his 2nd game, and they had a high expectation on this player so they'll keep pushing him.

2 consecutive games and here's my take on TNT's rookie Mikey Williams.

I know he's somehow arrogant when he requested a max deal available for the rookie where in the first place, he doesn't prove anything yet (obviously, because he was a rookie). A player who behaves like that is confident in their own skills so Coach Chot likely wants to test him and even provides quality minutes for him resulting in minimizing the usual playing time of the other starters.

Looking at the FG%, it's worst yes, but the attempt made is not usual for the rookie. Meaning he has the confidence to take shots even he's struggling and because of more minutes provided to him, soon he will be used to playing his best. He just needs to live with the hype he started. Coach Chot is strict. If he sees a player that isn't competitive enough, he will turn that player into a bench warmer without a doubt.
3392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 01, 2021, 11:20:01 PM
opening line AFAIR.

1. 2.80
2. 2.65
now 2.47

Odds for Spence Jr have slightly adjusted too from 1.4 (afaik this is the opening line right?) to 1.5.

Just a slight movement but it means there's a possibility to move more while the fight is approaching. For me,  it will settle between 1.4-1.5 Spence / 2.4.2.5 Pacquiao a day before the fight.

A couple of weeks to go and we will now see the action.
3393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: August 01, 2021, 11:07:16 PM
So simply dont play if you cant handle the consequences.

Honestly, these people already know and are aware of the consequences and risks once they gamble.

But the thing is, they disregard it because they want to take chances. Everyone wants to win, who else wouldn't like that. And the next thing that will happen is now a part of history.

Some people are lucky, some people are not. In that case, gambling companies shouldn't be blamed for whatever they ended up.
3394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: August 01, 2021, 10:45:01 PM
Directly convert to usd? Would you mind on telling which gambling sites you do talk about this stuff?

Not literally a sort of converting between coins but maybe the user is talking about some gambling sites with internal exchanges.

Somehow it might be close to what he meant.
3395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: August 01, 2021, 10:29:33 PM
I also agree, budgeting is about increasing the chances of success because that way, at least the budget you set is not too high but can actually produce good results day after day.

Will the odds of winning will be changed by doing that way? Obviously, no.

Setting a budget according to everyone here is to somehow limit their expenses. But it has nothing to do with your gambling results day by day.

I'd rather set a budget for my important matters and what's left is for misc activities such as gambling. That's the most effective to way to manage our betting budget compare set an amount specifically for gambling. At least even if you lose, your money is already settled on other matter.
3396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: August 01, 2021, 10:15:14 PM
I've been wondering what's been holding back real world casinos from adopting crypto? It is because they fear a government crackdown? Or because of crypto's volatility? With how popular crypto/Blockchain tech is right now, there should be at least one physical casino you can go to and place your bets with crypto. Thoughts? Huh

Adding and integrating crypto to these physical casinos will be just the same as the other payment methods. It doesn't give an impact honestly based on my observation. Using online banking or any online payment thru scan or something along those lines, credit cards, debit cards, physical money is way more fast, quick and convenient at these kinds of establishments compared to when using crypto.

I think it's not that they are fear because of the government law nor 100% concern about volatility but rather there might not be massive demands or requests from their clients for that type of payment method.

As mentioned in some replies, there are few on Vegas casinos but look, it was unable to trigger other casinos to follow.
3397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 01, 2021, 10:06:16 PM
I picked interest in Gambling recently and I love playing for fun, but lately, I lost most of the games this has made me lose some money and I would like to learn how to gamble.

Then don't play for fun. Be serious in every of your bet. It's more fun to win than to have a mindset that just you do gamble for fun because you afford to lose that amount. Treat every of your money as important and special so do everything to minimize your losses and improve your winning stats.

Mind sharing what kind of gambling you do? If luck-based games such as dice, then you should know that no strategy can be applied here rather what you need to do here is to manage properly your bankroll. If strategy-based games, then learn the game mechanics. If sports betting, try to create your own criteria of choosing.

Anyways, you will learn from your experience. Even you do read some helpful advice, you won't feel the actual pressure of doing gambling from there. While you are in progress, you will realize that you are now used to it and now able to form your own strategy.
3398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 01, 2021, 09:56:49 PM
Upsets do happen in Olympics as well, the fact that USA can be beaten by a lower ranking than Spain, I think Spain here also has a chance to upset the USA. Spain is currently +12.5 and +540 on ML in my sports bookie, I guess we will see lots of bettors here backing Spain.

It's a trap. The USA now becomes more aggressive and serious after that first loss in the preliminary round. And besides, I think they are feeling relaxed during that time as even losing one, they will still have another chance for the Gold. Now entering the next round, they will be in serious mode.

Glad that my bet Slovenia is able to avoid France next round. I'm sure they can handle Germany. Likely, France and Slovenia might face each other on the Semis.
3399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 01, 2021, 09:40:20 PM
We AAAALLL want to see that Lakers versus Nets matchup in the finals with everyone 100% healthy at that point as well. If everyone is healthy and playing with 100% then we are going to be quite happy about the current situation and we are going to be basically watching the best finals overall talent in a long time.

Exclude me from that lol. I'm not hyped on both Lakers and Nets next season and even last season, even they stay healthy or not.

The reason I want all teams to be healthy is, if ever what team will able to take home the next season's Larry O' Brien trophy, no such thing as "What If" "What If" "What if". I don't like that to see some nasty comments that a certain team is just lucky that the opposing team is not healthy.

If possible, I also want to see new teams in the NBA Finals. I don't mind those people who will say Finals are boring. Cheesy

Still biased for the Dallas Mavericks here. I hope they will be able to nail one next and fixed those internal issues within the organization.
3400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Weekly/monthly financial statements, which do you prefer? on: July 30, 2021, 02:53:40 PM
I don't like it as it wasn't necessary to see how's my gambling finances go through all the time. However, when the time comes that I like to see it, just out of curiosity, requesting it to the site shouldn't be a problem as they have records of it.
Does history wont really be enough for that matter? You would do manual calculations though but it would be good if they would be giving out those overall or total you had used or spent on your gambling activity on a specific site.

Its not actually necessary to have this but if you are a gambler who do really mind about on how much you had spent overall then it should really be on monthly basis and also if you are that mindful about your finances about totals or something like that then you shouldnt have gambled in the first place.

If you will read my statement, I never said that stats history is enough. If for you it does matter, then don't expect that I will have the same approach. I will stand that it wasn't necessary for me.

And kindly noted my last statement, "However, when the time comes that I like to see it, just out of curiosity, requesting it to the site shouldn't be a problem as they have records of it."

Hope that is clear. Smiley
