@rdbase. You appear to be a football expert hehe. I am aware that San Francisco’s team is beginning to look healthier than weeks ago. However, what are your thoughts on the Minnesota Vikings +3? They will play on the road vs. San Francisco 49ers with a record of only 1 - 4 in their home stadium and 4 - 6 against the spread. Minnesota is 6 - 4 against the spread.
3382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: November 25, 2021, 01:42:01 AM
The CEO of Blockstream Samson Mou on Bloomberg TV talks about his participation in El Salvador's plans to build a "Bitcoin city" and issue the world's first sovereign bitcoin bonds, the maturity of which comes in 10 years, is 13 percent, he also spoke about the mechanism of repayment of bitcoin bonds, and about attracting investors to this project.

I am presently shaking my head because Samsung is wearing a shirt with a Tether logo. Was he not one of those very loud maximalists who held the opinion strongly that everything that is not bitcoin is a scam? However, he is presently working with the most questionable group of people in the cryptospace.

What I am curious about this new bitcoin bond is what would be Tether’s part in this? Would this be another created chance for Tether to expand their balance sheet and hold the bonds as backing for USDT?

This is the latest news from Kazakhstan and it appears that their government did not have the need to ban mining hehe. It was the miners that shut down their farms by themselves. I speculate in some areas in China, it would be a similar situation if there was no ban.

In any case, Kazakhstan‘s government is encouraging the miners to create an independent renewable capacity. This appears to be another chance for Tether, Bitfinex, iFinex to issue bonds and do another project similar to their geothermal energy project in El Salvador.

Mining in south Kazakhstan is no longer possible, Xive co-founder Didar Bekbau said.

Crypto mining company Xive shut down a 2,500-rig mine in South Kazakhstan due to lack of sufficient electricity supply from the national grid, co-founder Didar Bekbau told CoinDesk on Wednesday.

Kazakhstan has been grappling with electricity shortages, partly caused by an influx of crypto miners from China. The southern part of the country is particularly vulnerable as the region lacks abundant electricity generating plants and the national grid cannot reliably transfer electricity from the energy-rich northern region.

Crypto miners, like Xive and Enegix, have been facing electricity issues since September due to rationing from KEGOC, the national grid operator. KEGOC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Xive is preparing a new site for the over 2,500 machines, but “it is clear that mining in south Kazakhstan is not possible anymore,” Bekbau told CoinDesk.

Recently, the government said it wants to encourage crypto miners to develop independent renewable energy capacity. The industry hopes that after Kazakhstan expands its renewable electricity capacity in the next one-two years, the limit might change, Sapar Akhmetov, chairman of the board of the Kazakhstan Association of Blockchain Technology told CoinDesk.

Giants threw up yet another stinker.  I guess the good thing that came out of last night's loss was Garrett was finally fired!! I mean what took this long.  Unless some end of year miraculous run (ain't happening) gentlemen the gm will be fired too, and will assume the new gm will want his own coach so judge will be gone too.  Start all over....again.  getting painful being a fan of this slop.

However, did everyone assume or expect that Daniel Jones would bring them to the playoffs or have a positive win and loss record for the season? I am not a football expert but I think another failure was assumed by much of the observers before the season begun. Similar to the Jets or the Washington football team.

Daniel Jones has more losses than wins with 11 wins and 26 losses in his career.

@winnerdeal. Share the screenshots of all the emails you sent and received from Cloudbet and also share what bonus conditions Cloudbet was implying to you. I was a regular Cloudbet user before and I have never encountered problems, however, my account was only small. Your $190,000 is an amount that needs help from a lawyer or the authorities from your jurisdiction.

Also, is your account verified? It is important that they have your identification verified in their database so they cannot deny your complaint or dismiss you.
3386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Measuring how much Elon Musk pumps crypto like Shiba Inu, Floki, Doge on: November 24, 2021, 03:35:31 AM
Protos has reported on Elon’s tweets and the effects, however, it did not ask why he is doing this. I am very skeptical if he is doing this similar to John Mcafee. John Mcafee was doing this to pump the coin and he can make a profit from the pump. It was also speculated that he was a paid shiller. But Elon Musk? He does not need the money, he also owns several companies and he holds only 3 cryptocoins according to him, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin. Is he doing this for his own happiness? There might be something wrong in his head hehehe.

Floki Inu (FLOK), for example, debuted on decentralized exchanges shortly after Musk tweeted: “My Shiba Inu will be named Floki,” in late June.

FLOK initially listed at $0, but reached a top of $0.00000871 four days later — all based on Musk tweeting that he intended to name his new Shiba Inu pup “Floki.”

Not to mention, the price of Dogecoin mimic Shiba Inu (SHIB) exploded 186% on the day that Musk tweeted: “I’m looking for a Shiba Inu pup!”.

SHIB pumped up to 2,100% in the next week — the single biggest Musk pump on record. The token even held onto about half of those gains, closing the week up more than 930%.

There was also BABYDOGE, a shitcoin entirely inspired by one of Musk’s more braindead tweets from July 1: “Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, Baby Doge.”

3387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 24, 2021, 02:30:25 AM
@Fundamentals Of. The IMF can threaten, however, they cannot do anything to stop this unless the American government takes down Tether and Bitfinex or send the military hehehe.

Also, the project does not need the full support of the community. Everything was planned already before the project has begun. I am quite certain that Tether has a very big part in this and it also an opportunity to expand their balance sheet. I would also not be shocked if the American government sends letters to Tether again for another investigation.

The Tim Tszyu vs Takeshi Inoue was not that great of a fight but we can call both men a warrior for finishing the 12 rounds, and it was really a heated battle, I don't see much head movement on Takeshi Inoue, but Tim Tszyu sure has precision in his punch but it certainly lacks the power, because there are much punch Tszyu has landed on the head and face, but Inoue just keeps on fighting, or surely Takeshi Inoue has a durable face and chin, to begin with, I say I have stayed away from betting, but I have predicted that Tim Tszyu will surely win this,

Upcoming fights for the Month of November,

November 26, 2021

Ohara Davies VS Ismael Barroso

November 27, 2021

Stephen Fulton VS Brandon Figueroa

Teofimo Lopez VS George Kambosos Jr.

Raeese Aleem VS Eduardo Baez

Azinga Fuzile VS Kenichi Ogawa

Also include the date. Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. is scheduled to fight this Saturday or early morning Sunday in Europe.

What is everyone’s prediction? I am shaking my head why the sportsbooks predict that Teofimo Lopez will have a higher chance to win through a knockout than a decision. His opponent is undefeated and this fight is only in lightweight boxing which is very light hehehe. It is 20 pounds lighter than MMA’s lightweight division. I predict Lopez by decision with very good odds.

3389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 23, 2021, 03:56:47 AM
Everything will now depend on the implementation. The vision is there already. I think there is already sufficient support both from the country's population and officials and from foreign companies and individuals who are in support of Bitcoin. After a nice blueprint of what a Bitcoin city would look like, what's next is the actual creation of it. But things will not end after everything is created as planned. We will still wait for years to see if the actual function of the Bitcoin City is indeed worth duplicating in other cities.

I would like to witness success, however, as a realist I am very skeptical. This might be the first time in the modern world where a planned city will be built from scratch.

Also, the success I would also want to witness is Tether and Bitfinex’s new responsibility as the new IMF to hyperdollarize 3rd world countries hehehe. The IMF will shake their heads because this would certainly be a major use case for USDT.
3390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / 3 Arrows Capital is dumping Ethereum? on: November 23, 2021, 02:18:26 AM
Su Zhu of 3 Arrows Capital is one of the largest cryptofunds in the cryptospace. In the beginning of the bull market he declared that Ethereum will be in a super cycle, implying that it will continue to pump during a bear market. However, his opinion might have changed. He blames the gas fees for this.

But I am skeptical of him also. He is speculated to tell everyone to buy when he is dumping and sell when he is pumping. He might only be criticizing Ethereum because he wants to pump his Solana and Avax investments.

Over the weekend, Three Arrows Capital co-founder Su Zhu sent a 46-word missive to his quarter-million Twitter followers explaining that he was leaving the original smart contract-enabled blockchain over rising transaction costs and falling network usability.

"Yes I have abandoned Ethereum despite supporting it in the past," he wrote. "Yes Ethereum has abandoned its users despite supporting them in the past. The idea of sitting around jerking off watching the burn and concocting purity tests, while zero newcomers can afford the chain, is gross."

He went on to decry a community in which people have to pay hundreds of dollars for transactions only to "get told some tales about how they should've been smart enough to buy ETH at $10."

3391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 23, 2021, 01:41:14 AM
It can also be argued that if no one wanted to buy El Salvador’s Bitcoin Bond, Bitfinex can print $1 billion USDT to expand their balance sheet and declare the bonds as one of the assets backing the issued USDT.

It appears that Bitfinex can also play the part of the Federal Reserve and the IMF, World Bank at the same time hehehe. I am beginning to become more confident that the people behind Bitfinex, Tether might copy China’s real estate developers’ transactions with shadow banking. It is also rumored that Tether was used to help Evergrande and others with liquidity problems before the collapse.

El Salvador is also working on a digital securities law and plans to issue the first operating license for a securities exchange to Bitfinex, Mow said.

“You know with Bitfinex, they have a lot of whales, so I don’t see a problem filling a billion-dollar bond,” he said.

3392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 22, 2021, 05:17:02 AM
Let's hope to see Crawford and Spence Jr soon.
Arum maybe is busy thinking about his business not the future of the boxer.

Agreed. I am not certain why there are some people who speculated that Terence Crawford’s next fight would be versus Keith Thurman. Shawn Porter is higher in rank than Thurman and they want Crawford to fight the lower ranked boxer? I shake my head.

Similar to Errol Spence, Crawford’s next fight should only be for the unification. This is where Bob Arum made his mistake. He was busy thinking only about his business? Top Rank will not be included in the superfight between Spence and Crawford.
3393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 22, 2021, 04:35:09 AM
I don't know what to think about this because Blockstream and Adam Back is involved in this operation and $1 billion will be on federated layer-2 Liquid Network as tokenized bonds.
Notorious Bitfinex exchange will be involved in this operation and I am almost sure that Liquid Tether USDT will be used and printed from thing air (on Liquid this time).
They also plan to create some kind of security tokens on Liquid that should be listed on regulated El Salvadorian securities exchange.
I have no idea how this city will function in real life but I have a feeling this will all be centralized and controlled from some central authority or government, but let's wait and see.

I am very much in agreement that Tether USDT will be used potentially to provide as a source of liquidity or as a medium for transacting without needing the services of the banks. It is speculated that this is also the service provided by Tether to fund China’s property developers like Evergrande when banking services were not available.
3394  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-19] White paper introducing Jack Dorsey's decentralized Bitcoin exchang on: November 22, 2021, 03:41:52 AM
Another critcism from the skeptics is in the capability of Twitter to create a secure and safe decentralized platform for trading. What assurances can they give when Twitter had the backend of their website hacked by teenagers?

Similar to Defi hacks, I predict similar types of hacks on Jack Dorsey’s decentralized exchange no matter how much audits they do on the code. Nothing is safe in the cryptospace, I reckon. Everything is almost a new type of invention.
3395  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Calls for Global Crypto Regulation on: November 22, 2021, 02:17:10 AM
Binance was forced to work with regulators because the regulators of some jurisdictions began banning Binance.
Yet, Binance was not forced, just that either the exchange comply to regulation or banned in some countries due to poor KYC and AML policies. To avoid further risks, Binance started stringent intermidiate verification for old and new users and discontinued basic verification. When it has follow the regulatory way, now doing what will help make the exchange to be recognized as it has been banned in some countries and some other countries may also likely ban the exchange if not following the stringent verification for its users.

How was Binance not forced to comply? The regulators in some countries have told the exchange to leave their jurisdictions if they do not comply hehehe. Also, that is the purpose or regulations. To force people and businesses into compliance. What would force Binance into compliance if there were no regulations created for them to follow?
3396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 21, 2021, 05:23:58 AM
The champion is being disrespected. Why are there many promotional materials and graphics for this fight have Shawn Porter in front of Terence Crawford? Top Rank is marketing Shawn Porter more? I reckon Bud should knockout Porter to get the respect back.

Crawford and Top Rank is mum on the contract renewal of the latter, this might be Bob's warning to Terrence that if he will not renew, they have Porter to replace him  Grin.

Going to the fight, Porter was very aggressive in the first round and I give him the first round for that.

Respect has been reactivated hehehe. Terence Crawford won by technical knockout! It appears the negotiations for the contract renewal will give favorable terms for Crawford hehe.

It also appears Errol Spence walked away immediately after he witnessed those 2 knockdowns. He will be next for Bud.

Mac Jones did not give my team more fantasy points as I speculated despite the hype on him after Thursday’s game. He gave me less hehe. He was projected to make 16 points, however, gave only 10.38. I reckon Covid Cam can make better than 10.38 if he is qb1 on Sunday.
3399  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-18] IRS sees crypto seizures totalling billions of dollars in 2022 on: November 20, 2021, 05:39:14 AM
I have argued on this before, I reckon cryptocoin anonymity will be the next leading issue after the bull market. Everyone will be searching for a solution on how to hide their profit from their governments hehehe. However, there will be solutions available. Monero is a proven altcoin for privacy, grin is being developed and Charlie Lee has declared that Mimblewimble technology will be adoped for litecoin.

While you are correct, people will most probably keep holding and using bitcoin, since it's more popular and brings higher returns. Also most don't know that bitcoin is not anonymous.
Also way too many of those who know that bitcoin is not anonymous still think that "they have nothing to hide", not gasping the huge importance of anonymity. I hope that people will open their eyes before it's too late.

Litecoin doesn't have Mimblewimble yet; Grin is not known good enough; Monero is not accepted by some of the exchanges...neither of the options would go main stream too quick; still one has also the option of mixing his bitcoin an option you forgot to mention.

Similar to you argument against Monero, mixing is also putting your coins at risk because exchanges can also freeze your account if the see your coins went through a mixer.

The whole idea of my argument is developers will find solutions to problems. I am quite certain there are many developers left who want to fight government’s intervention and proneness to tyranny.

@Lucius. Agreed, it is a problem. There was a whitepaper written by a law firm on a legal framework in the defense of anonymous coins.

https://www.perkinscoie.com/images/content/2/3/v7/237411/Perkins-Coie-LLP-White-Paper-AML-Regulation-of-Privacy-enablin.pdf

In any case, it is head shaking that many people are arguing against anonymous coins. Anonymous coins protect our freedom and privacy if implemented correctly.
3400  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Calls for Global Crypto Regulation on: November 20, 2021, 04:15:58 AM

10 fundamental rights for crypto users? If privacy is not there, it is not complete, privacy should be the first fundamental right for crypto users.

I've to say Binance marketing has been hit and miss. I think this is, to me at least, a bit of a miss. https://yourcryptorights.com/ has all these 10 fundamental rights and the second and third ones already are a "requirement" from a business and not an individual right.

They do list privacy at 4th, but only says that PII should be strictly guarded.

Don't know but this makes them look pretty stupid for me. Shouldn't have called it "Rights" at least.

Binance is limiting the damage brought on by all the negative news caused by some jurisdications’ announcements that the exchange do not have the licenses and it did not apply for the licenses. I think this problem would have been avoided if Binance were open to talking to regulators instead of avoiding them.

Changpeng Zhao’s statements, before the regulators banned Binance, were telling everyone that Binance does not have a physical address because it did not need it. It was almost making it appear to everyone that Binance can operate everywhere they want without following the rules.

A physical address could put CZ unsafe since crypto is becoming political already. I think Binance is really thinking about how worse it could become, he could be detained like what happened to Meng Wanzhou of Huawei who was only released after some deals under the hood.

It's true though that they wanted to work with regulators, they know they can't last to operate illegally in other countries. They wanted to make it look like they fight back for crypto users but they also hold huge crypto data that the world government wants from them.

It is not true. Binance was forced to work with regulators because the regulators of some jurisdictions began banning Binance. This is where you can witness the difference between Binance and exchanges like FTX. FTX was open to talks and did not avoid them, Binance avoided them until regulators forced them out.
