Did you not read the thread?

They clearfied that.

Also you started a thread in the scammers section...

You can answer to coblee but we dont. We were formed at a dark time in ltc history.

So you owning a huge stake of LTC gives you the right to decide to be someone or claim some rights that you shouldn't have ?

seriously who you think you are ? and what are you even arguing about ?  why didn’t you just send the donation like the rest of us ? do you want us to make a song about you donating so you go more viral? what is the whole point of that anyway?

- if you have a good attention just send the LTC to the address in the original thread and that is it, why you even complicate things when there is no need to, except if you have other attention!!
3382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Mtgox owner about to announce something, LTC? on: June 17, 2013, 10:47:41 AM
Probably new trading engine and LTC.

'A few' would suggest at least both of those, hopefully.

you've brought this topic to life again, I have a feeling that LTC wont go there before the new client release (0.8.2).

What can I say? I'm a necromantic kind of guy :p Good old Google ranks your post highly for "Mt Gox announcement" Smiley

To add my view to this thread which I missed first time round anyway:

I ditched Gox during during the bad news period, kept most of my coins in cold storage and left just play money on BTCe for day trades. Now, Gox can have my business back when they can handle the volume and take a look at their commision fee. LTC would be a bonus and it has a stabilising effect on BTC, just look at BTCe: LTC and FTC along with a 0.2% fee act as counterweights stopping BTC from doing some of the crazy things it does on Gox.

I'm not happy with BTCe though, I really do not trust it 100% though perversely it is much more robust than Gox. The whole trollbox thing, though blockable lends the site an air of immaturity, not so much an exchange as a god-damn rowdy schoolroom.

Clearly, if and when LTC floats on Gox, the long-term effect will be that it will be seen as a legitimate altcoin, presented to a much wider audience (Wired UK's Litecoin article yesterday already seemed to bump the price a little). The price may and probably will do some crazy things in the first day or so but will soon act as a nice hedge against BTC's wilder excesses without needing to cash back out to fiat every time there's a BTC plunge.

I like LTC, it clearly has its advantages over BTC especially in a retail context. The price seems to have bottomed out recently and is looking like a great buy especially with BTC being so flat as ASIC miner dumping continues.

So, hopefully the next announcement will be more than announcing an announcement!

I share a part of your vision there, to be honest it is a question of when LTC will be there, allot of people thinks that when LTC hits Gox that the price will go to 10-15$ well I do not share this point with them, the audience will be newly introduced to LTC, so there wont be that much of buyers as sellers, a huge dump will happen, but anyway I am here for the long run, so these prices doesn't bothers that much

3384  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 5970 Wants to run at 90 C, Is this to high?? on: June 17, 2013, 08:13:55 AM
90C° is normal temp for 5970, I had few of these cards, they were running all the time and I even saw more than 95C°, if you set fan manually at 85% you should get the temps lower to 75-80 C° but you will reduce the life time of your fans.

Fans are about $15 to replace. 5970 themselves cannot be replaced if they burn up. They aren't made anymore.

all what i wanted to say that he can config his cards to meet both life time of fans and cards, in my case 90C° is not that high given the fact that he might see even higher when summer goes crazy
3385  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 17, 2013, 08:06:18 AM
this is really serious, I've thought that BFL was doing this, now AVALON just went to my red-zone as well, it seems that ASICMINER is the only honet company (but with extreme prices)

I love the fact that when you mention FPGA or ASIC chips for LTC, most members of the forum become Engineers, I wonder if I edit the content in Wikipedia to " FPGA uses the fuck bandwith to calculate salsa..."  what forum members would wirte? maybe the same words in wikipedia ? what do you think ?

3388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin's Astro chart on: June 15, 2013, 10:49:37 AM
The Week Ahead

Earlier this month, if you looked where the Sun had just set, you'd have seen Jupiter glowing on the horizon with Venus above it. Venus is still shining at sunset but now Jupiter has moved so much closer to the Sun that you can't see it any more by day or night. The ancients insisted that the annual conjunction of the Sun and Jupiter was a most fortuitous astrological event, even if it was invariably invisible! Hopefully, this week, we'll see how right they were. Wherever anything truly deserves to go well, there's a high chance that it will!

Litecoin's Week Ahead

Daily life is starting to make huge demands on your patience, your emotional resilience and your bank account. You feel as if you are running out of the strength and energy that you need to cope with a stressful situation. And as you find out more about what's really going on in your world, you are no longer so sure about who to believe. Yet despite the uncertainty, the trouble you face is very temporary. Somehow, this week, a rather wonderful, lasting change for the better will begin to come about.

Hard weeks ahead of us huh ?
3389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Core Development Fundraising on: June 12, 2013, 06:19:22 PM
It is for this reason that we are requesting donations to help fund this development work.

Do you accept Feathercoins?

coblee is trying to be professional and kind, but let me translate : " we take only real coins here, we do not accept junk or monopoly money".

Read the FAQ.  It explains this version is t test that it is fully compatible with 0.6.x.  If things go well, there will be a new version of 0.6.x and 0.8.2-alpha which rolls out the new fee.

Your client paid a weird fee because if any change would be less than 0.01 LTC it automatically adds it to change instead of making a dust txo.  Bitcoin works this way too, but at a smaller threshold.

Sorry I missed that one, but the fee is high even for 0.6.x am i wrong ? what do you think ?
3391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Core Development Fundraising on: June 12, 2013, 07:29:52 AM
downloaded and started testing , I will post feedback in case of problems. thank you

note1: i just hope that there is no risk to lose my coins.
note2: I need to download the hole block chain .
note3: it is really impressive how fast is the block chain download
note4: it took me only about 20-25 min to download the block chain. and the stratup time of the client is really impressive, I do not have to wait 5 min to launch the client any more.

I just donated another 5 LTC with the new client  Wink

edit: 0.01179505 LTC fee, is this normal ? I had a feeling that fees were lower before or am I wrong ?

3394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Mtgox owner about to announce something, LTC? on: June 11, 2013, 04:25:11 PM
so what if they add ltc on gox.
all btc-e ltc moves to gox?

allot of people with fiat yes, do you know how hard it is to buy LTC @ BTC-e,the easiest way is to first deposit fiat to Mtgox or bitstamp or "put an exchange here" than buy Bitcoins then deposit Bitcoins to BTC-e than buy LTC, then they charge you 0.5 LTC for withdrawals and not to talk about the fees.

I see that they did add the option for wire transfer and SEPA transfers but i never tried them and i am not willing to, and you know when you withdraw fiat with paypal, you pay a load of fees and than a random guy send you a payment !!!!!
Mtgox is a wide company, ok we all know that they sucked with their trading engine but we all hope that this will be also fixed with this new trading engine that will announce

not so bad to on btc-e for me lol

throw in bunch of btc sell high buy low and extra usd  Cheesy

we do not share the same experience here  Smiley

I see LTC going really far, good things happening around, Coblee managed to organize a great dev. team, LTC network is becoming stronger and bigger regardless the price and profitability this means miners believe in long-term concept, and now Mtgox will add LTC, more attention is around and will be even more, businesses and markets will widely accept and be open for LTC.

i am really excited about the whole thing .
3397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Mtgox owner about to announce something, LTC? on: June 11, 2013, 03:39:31 PM

Thank you for your email. Litecoin are being considered and would be implemented in future and no ETA however. There are plan...
, this was the answer when we asked about adding LTC for months now, and if you send them an e-mail about it you will get the same answer.

employees form the help desk are not suppose to give an ETA, this is why they send this answer automatically, but what Mark Karpeles did tweet about today is something new,  usually what Mark Karpeles says is the official thing, no rumors here, so i bet that there is an announcement soon
3398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Mtgox owner about to announce something, LTC? on: June 11, 2013, 03:11:53 PM
What else should be?
I can't imagine.. Wink Cheesy

we know that they were working on a new trading engine, and they did state about adding alts ( LTC and NMC), I just wish it is both . we waited a good amount of time now. if they do add LTC, trading will be much easier, we will be able to deposit fiat with lower fees, and dealing with a legitimate company that have a record will make people more conformable with trusting money and coins with.
