I think your psu may be too weak.
you can try a lower freq say 300 vs 350 if the board does not drop it means the psu has enough power for 300 freq around 920gh
and not enough for 350 freq around 1150 gh
what is the exact make and model of your psu
The PSU is a Corsair GS 800. The miner I got has 2 fans and was defaultly set to a frequency of 387.5M. Yeah go down to freq 325 let me know how that works . I am going to look up that corsair psu. newegg lists it here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139114&cm_re=corsair_gs800-_-17-139-114-_-Productreviews do not like it. it looks to me that all cables are attached and that you have 2 pcie cables each with 2 jacks. so really only 1 cable per each side. the s-5 will pull 600 watts with a platinum psu at freq 350 so this low cost low quality psu will need 660 watts at freq 350...... it may or may not be able to spend 660 watts but with only 2 cables each doing 330 watts. you could do this ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs29.postimg.org%2Fy329vqa3r%2FBITCOIN_MINING.png&t=663&c=QcJKCtOv4MS1Dw)

Hashing with for example 100 ths or hashing no limit at nicehash. Which one is sensible?
What do you mean no limit? He's talking about time. 100 TH over say, 9 hours vs "unlimited" (realistically 3ph or so) over 1 hour or the equivalent amount of time it takes to burn through the same BTC. As I've said numerous times before, it makes no difference to your chance of finding a block. However from a personal side, I guess you get to "watch the mining sport" for longer with less hashrate? It's entirely up to what you prefer. This should be part of your sig by now ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes. You sir are absolutely correct but I like to use a different word then yes. FAQ: Should I buy more hash over 10 minutes or less hash over 2 hours? Rotate ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

http://btc.blockr.io/charts169 178 170 162 really bad 4 days but all last diff these four ending the last adjustment = 679 154 11/24/2015 152 11/25/2015 174 11/26/2015 128 11/27/2015 these four to start this period will be about 615 so 4 x 144 = 576 we are at 608 so +5.55% is 'real' time. These weird monster drop days like today 128 really seem to show a ghost mine of s-3's or s-5's. the owner of the mine gets short term power 1, 2, 3, 4 days then needs to power off. I would not think it is bit fury or sp-tech doing it as I would think one or two tests and it will just stay up. But a Chinese 20 ph or 30 ph mine of older gear with free power seems like it could be true. Look at the pattern. http://btc.blockr.io/charts10-28 --112 10-29 --153 10-30 --167 10-31 --149 11-1 -- 150 11-2 -- 158 11-3 -- 153 11-4 -- 157 11-5 -- 146 11-6 -- 142 11-7 -- 153 11-8 -- 143 11-9 -- 148 11-10 --145 11-11 --16911-12 --158 11-13 --161 11-14 -- 14611-15 --156 11-16-- 17511-17-- 146 11-18-- 156 11-19-- 13111-20-- 169 11-21-- 178 11-22-- 170 11-23-- 162 11-24-- 154 11-25-- 152 11-26-- 17411-27 --128big swing days have become very common over the last two months. @ notlist I am picking at the end and not my repeater. although if we are really low I reserve right to pick any unpicked number available.

How did you manage to connect your raspberry controller? The company I bought my avalon 6 from didn't really give a beginner's installation guide. =/ Thanks in advance!
okay do you have a rasp pi model b? do you have an sdcard? do you have 2 usb cables? did you get the little ½ pinky size adapter? did you get the special adapter cable? do you have an ethernet cable? do you have a good psu? see the adapter below a special cable goes into the adapter and that black jack in the avalon 6. then on the silver end of the adapter a usb cable fits into it that usb cable goes into the usb jack on the psu. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FR3iDyyH.jpg&t=663&c=2W2T4YTHDhDX2A)

The installation exceeded my expectations. I have room for more.
yeah 240 is good. i have 2 30 amp circuits . i could run ten s-7 5 on each circuit. to run ten s-7 on 120 i need ten circuits. big difference

well today we look to do under 140 blocks? 385628 (Main Chain) 2015-11-27 20:29:08 385521 (Main Chain) 2015-11-27 00:04:14 108 made and we should be doing 123 so 15 under...... yesterday 20 over? seesaw? or maybe there is a china ghost city filled with old s-3'5 and s-5's and they can't get power 24/7/365 http://btc.blockr.io/charts169 178 170 162 really bad 4 days but all last diff these four ending the last adjustment = 679 154 11/24/2015 152 11/25/2015 174 11/26/2015 135 11/27/2015 these four to start this period will be about 615 so 4 x 144 = 576 we are at 615 so +6.77% is 'real' time. Ok... now if we go back to my original statement, with Eligius, you can never, ever make more than that 0.064146152448BTC in those 12 weeks. On kano, you can make more than that, or you can make less. Kano's pool has, since inception, been running about 101% luck. That has no bearing on future luck - it is just a metric of past performance. However, it is a metric that shows had you been mining on Eligius for the past year and on kano for the past year, given identical hash rates on each pool, you would have made more on kano.
I have been mining on Kano's pool from 20/11/2015 until now or about 7 days and I have got only 1.5 mBTC in total from blocks 384498, 384724, 384805 and 385383. If I would have mined on Eligius, I would have made about 5 mBTC. On Antpool, I would have made about 4 mBTC. How would that be practically possible to make more BTC on Kano's pool than Eligius, even if I would mine on Kano's pool for a year? Please, don't mine on my pool. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You can be sure that I will not mine on your pool even if I would have 1 Th/s hashrate. I thought I could make more on your pool so I can just ignore your behaviours toward Eligius pool, wizkid057 and Luke. But I am wrong about that. Don't know you at all and I am not going to attack you and defend Kano. But based on your writings you are better off not mining with Kano. Simply put your writings if sincere show you don't understand the math involved.

but it's running at .5% hw errors.
Did you typo that? I have never seen HW that high on any of my OC'd ants from any generation. Usually if I see .01 or .02 I consider it about the max for that particular machine. If I see higher than that I lower the freq. nope, not a typo, it was 0.5% - but I did unplug it to move cables around before reading that, which cut off power suddenly and stopped airflow. I soft-cycled it from the admin page just now, and am now getting .008 after 5 minutes, so perhaps it was an artifact of the heat spike from being unplugged suddenly without the fans staying on soft boot helps I did a thread on it. One of my s-7's desires a soft boot 2 or 3 times a week.

I could be off base, but I can't imagine their retail sales even being equivalent to their own mining efforts, so I'm not convinced the shipped batches will have as much of an impact on difficulty as what's already been put on-line in their own farms. If they're anything like the other manufacturers in the direction they've taken, they will prioritize self-mining and only sell to the public for considerable mark-up to justify the "competition" in difficulty. Maybe I'm being optimistic ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) well I can look at the address I paid into for my s-7's https://blockchain.info/address/1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8Vsales of s-7 started around here. https://blockchain.info/tx/580acc51ab71100dc9fb20c2c19856c7cb397beb09e88ea46b9cff75b5a4f2a3I did figure more then 5000 sold since 8/30/2015 thats 20ph about 25000 coins but we have added more then 100ph to the network since then. and I did not add this up in a while so it may be more like 6000 s-7's and 28ph

Diff will cross 82 bill in 10 days.
I am a bit skeptical of this (and frankly hopeful that you are wrong). I am hoping that last 10% increase doesn't mean a return to regular 10% (or larger) increases like we had in most of the first half of 2014. I feel like with the increase in BTC price the price of the S7 is too high. I mean it was probably too high before but now it's like clearly more than I would pay. I want one more of these and I want it soon so it has time to work before the halving but at this price I just won't do it. I feel that it will have to slow diff jumps barring more price increases. Now we that we have had a price jump in coin of 5% this diff period over the last few days , getting to a diff of 82 bill (10% jump) becomes more possible.

Adjust time: After 1479 Blocks, About 9.5 days so at 1416 we can make our picks. about 5 hours maybe 4. I am going to not pick my -1.11% ! I am actually going to try to handicap and pick closer to the 1200th block. on a better note for today. https://blockchain.info/blocks385593 (Main Chain) 2015-11-27 12:37:55 385521 (Main Chain) 2015-11-27 00:04:14 73 blocks made in the time for 76 blocks 12 hours and 40 minutes is 6 x 12 + 4 = 76
