341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: mprep's Signature Campaign Management Services on: July 11, 2020, 07:53:15 AM
i really want to know why one would in anyway compete nor even consider doubting the credibility of mprep. right from the very first day i signed up on bitcointalk, the only moderator i have been most conversant with is mprep. most at times i just go through mprep's profile just as a model to properly structure my  orientation in the forum.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't satoshi revealed himself during the domain purchasement? on: July 01, 2020, 12:35:10 PM
Didn't satoshi revealed any important credentials when he bought the bitcoin.org? Are there any links so I can read the whole story, because I had read somewhere that the place that he bought his domain, was an anonymous place (that was accepting bitcoins in the later years).

loads of people have gotten domain names registered without disclosing their identity. Satoshi, i believe isn't daft as to have revealed his identity in the process of registering his domain name when his agenda was clearly stated that it was to be 100% anonymous.  If he is smart enough to invent blockchain technology, then anonymity is nothing too him.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: June 30, 2020, 06:04:54 PM
Been trading for quite a while now and it took me time to get to where i am today coming from a noob in trading. Trading cryptocurrencies was one hell of an experience for me Grin.

The first cryptocurrency i traded back in late 2018 was bitcoin and i lost a whole lot of money trading it. I guess i didn't learn enough about the crypto market and the volatility involved before delving into it  Undecided.

Ever since then, i picked another instrument of choice. I went into the FOREX trading. I plan on coming back into trading cryptocurencies but for now i'm still learning about the crypto market.  Cheesy

It was a painful experience though  Grin

What was your experience ?

my friend will always say that one should get the right knowledge before embarking on any kind of adventure. If any crypto fan wants to adventure into crypto trading, i will advice the person to seek adequate knowledge on crypto currency before taking a leap into it. it has been a bumpy ride without the application of the required knowledge adn funds have been lost to the volatility of the market and the funniest part is that nobody gets to answer to you how it got lost.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 30, 2020, 05:44:24 PM
I had two clients from America I want offer graphics designing jobs for, I demanded my payment would be in BitcoinBTC or Ethereum. To my greatest dismay, they were dumfounded on what Bitcoin or Ethereum is. I am still suprised up to this very moment. Cheesy Roll Eyes

there are loads of interiors where people still get limited informations. Even though it is america, there is also some areas there where people have access to incomplete information and therefore they prioritize the informations that concerns their sustenance alone and careless about the global occurences. this is one of the reasons why we need people that will go about sensitising them on the latest technological innovations and blockchain technology to be particular
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 a reason for Bitcoin adoption? on: June 27, 2020, 05:59:24 PM
COVID -19 has been declared by the World Health Organisation as a  pandemic and therefore calls for serious measures to be put in place to limit its spread across the world. one of these measures includes reducing contact betweeen people and money is the fastest way for people to estabblish contact as it changes hands on a daily basis. alternative means of spending  money remains the use of digitised systems and that is where the bitcoin currency comes in handy. this has spread the awareness of the bitcoin technology and also its usage and over  the months, it has recorded wide useage which is massive adoption for bitcoin generally.

347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most searched cryptocurrencies on Google on: June 17, 2020, 09:29:57 PM
the most searched for cryptocurrency is bitcoin and seconded by ethereum anyday.  the coinmarketcap.com also shows how much of bitcoin is in circulation but it is more on google considering the searches. people get to know more about bitcoin through other people and news media and then look up to google to furnish them with resourceful information.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is EtherDelta Finally Gone? on: June 17, 2020, 01:34:33 PM
The infamous EtherDelta seems like it is finally at its end with another infamous icon, the dreaded 502 Bad Gateway Error. Any news or comments on this would be more than appreciated thanks again

i think the ethredelta website was overshadowed by the introduction of forkdelta.app into the dex exchange space. Forkdelta took over operations as a clear competition and also a more advcanced plaatform and conquered the entire space by executing the same transactions and people moved their operation to forkdelta and ever since etherdelta hasn't been the same and jsut today i logged into the url to notice that it was non functional. i feel it is the end of the exchange
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty on: June 17, 2020, 01:22:19 PM
I just saw a bounty post which I do not understand, can anyone solve this ?
Because in the post they post that ,

Youniq Exerglobal team is offering 100mil XPC Token (1 XPC Token = 1 EURO) through this Bounty Program.
It will run for 16 weeks .
The Facebook stake details,

these kind of promises keeps us away from those bounty campaigns. we have checked the statistics of companies or projects with these outrageous promises and many at times they are no where in space once they manage to raise some funds. they go into thin air thereby leaving behind the time, energy and resources committed towards making it possible for them to ahve even raised the little funds
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: United Nation Expert admit Digital Currencies Could Replace Bank Accounts on: June 17, 2020, 01:17:33 PM

This is the opinion of Massimo Buonomo, a UN global blockchain expert who added that the need for a bank account may soon be "fully removed by digital currencies and especially the central bank's digital currencies (CBDCs). Buonomo said that banks and credit card companies have had a duopolistic approach to digital payments for many years, but the advent of digital currencies can mean that users can circumvent them completely, he said in an online board on Thursday about the future global post-coronavirus economic structure.

He said that low-interest rates, which central banks are needed to facilitate increased borrowing, will speed up the cycle because they enable account holders to chase other countries for returns. For one, the Bank of England discusses the idea that interest rates are paying in negative territories, which suggests savers can compensate the banks to keep funds in their bank accounts. American President Donald Trump recently called them a "gift" for negative rates.

Interest rates are the one remaining killer feature of bank accounts, according to Buonomo. Yet in the context of digital currencies that can accept online purchases as quickly, they are in danger of being redundant.

Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/blockchain-bites-why-un-federal-163430366.html

It is becoming evident that things will begin sour for Banks. The sooner they realize this the better for them

i have checked the severally the ease and comfort associated with the use of digital currencies, not just digital currencies but the decentralized digital currencies that is associated with bitcoin and ethereum and other cryptocurrencies. i think it is a sure thing that the whole banks globally will be of no relevance to people within a short time frame if they fail to tap into the crypto currency world.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth hosting a lightning node? on: June 17, 2020, 01:12:43 PM
i have been hearing of hosting the lightening network from a very close friend of mine in the space and i am checking out if it is well enough to get one's attention. how can one make money out of it and also what kind of devices are needed to host the nodes. and also the electricity bills involved, is it as sophisticated as the bitcoin network itself
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: June 17, 2020, 01:07:58 PM
From the legendary John McAfee that is now turn over at his statement, he told before in the way back of 2017 that he is predicting the market price of the bitcoin for over $500,000 dollars market price at the end of the year of 2020 and he will gonna eat his d*ck if he made a mistake on his calculations and now he is stating that the bitcoin is now worthless and now he is promoting the use of the monero, ethereum and dai. What are your insights about this? are you willing to wait for his promise about the market prediction?

Quote

Mcafee has been over the years giving speculations and i personally feel there is no basis on which he gave those speculations that is the reason why he has switched reversely on his opinion. I do no firmly believe speculations anymore as things are always different in the eyes of everyone. i will always advice that one does his or her own research about a project he or she wants to invest in.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum-Forsage on: June 17, 2020, 12:42:58 PM
For sage is nothing but a ponzi scheme that is just leveraging blockchain, via dApp, to enrich the top birds (pyramid scheme), whole feeding off newbies. There are variants of this ponzi scheme, like Million Money. The scheme is as good as dead once there's no new refferal in the system (fresh cash cow).

Advice: Stay away, don't be deceived.

Yeah bro, big time red flag, any project or platform with such features is nothing but a ponzi scheme, always looking for new members and withholding some vital information about the whole ponzi until you have already invested and could not get out without bringing in new members, I have seen some of my friends lose money through this means, they should be avoided as much as possible.

loads of time, people go int schemes they have little or no idea of how they are run. I saw someone post that they have made some millions of naira from the forsage project and also some others who little knowledge of how the crypto space works. i just smile at their ignorance. now they are enjoying the funds andthey seem to be happy, when they get burnt, they will sy crypto in entirety is a scam. i pity their ignorance. even though it still pays.
354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: June 17, 2020, 11:54:05 AM
The ida of running on bitcoin isn't actuall ideal as i see challenges arising from that, considering the fact that bitcoin is highly volatile, loads of challenges will be faced with the fluctuations that goes with it. imagine having $100 bitcoin in you wallet and you set out on Uber adn midway the journey, bitcoin crashes leaving you will a value way below what your bills have already acumulated. it then becomes na embarrasement. i will not advise both firms to run on bitcoin

Common Mistakes to Avoid while Trading: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5246443

Very succinct. These are mostly the mindset i possessed and i am still working on it to unlearn it as is does not in anyway build a profile that is recommendable in the trading space. i appreciate this tips and will update my "do not" list to continue with the trading successfully. please keep more of this updated in here if the need arises.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next price in XRP on: June 17, 2020, 11:15:02 AM
Just wait bitcoin to increase or pump reaching $20,000 again, XRP will hit $1. I like XRP because of fast transaction and also the low fee but I don't think if XRP is good for long term investment because the price is slowly down .

XRP is not associated with BTC which means it's features are entire different from the decentralized system. Remember XRPs tremendous show came only when BTC price was down only then people started to Invest loads of money in XRP, although ripples performance last year will not be the same this year XRP has broken several barriers this year In terms of prediction I believe XRP has a potential to reach $4 by the end of the year.

The potentials embeded in XRP has in no wise kept it below expectation. i believe the more partnership and usage the project gets is what wil drive the increase in both price and massive adoption as well as investors committing their funds to it. it has got  nothing to do with time but more of efforts by the team. XRP can exceed $4 by the end of the year if efforts are more intensified on partnerships.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth. When!? on: June 16, 2020, 02:46:42 PM
When will you buy eth again?
Now?
When halving begin?
After halving?
Thanks

investments are always ideal at the point when sufficient iformatin about the project of investment is achieved. i will advice you do your own research on the project so as to know when exactly to invest.
While we await the release of eth. 2.0. you can carry out a research on  the history of ethereum and the progress recorded and convince yourself if it is worthy of your investment.

359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Tether.to/USDT? on: June 13, 2020, 09:23:11 AM
if one converts his funds to crypto just to be in the crypto assest portfolio list, i will advise you keep the funds in tether since it is a stable coin but if it you want to gamble into the volatility of crypto prjects then i suggest bitcoin is best. I don't mean bitcoin to be a gamble, am only using the word gamble because, money used for investment in crypto is supposed to be money that can be called spare as it may be lost.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Lightning Network Food Order by Phone on: June 13, 2020, 08:10:27 AM
it is ok that it the Lightning Network has been used to order food by phone which is  a real life use case but let the project incorperate other partners to work with other use cases that has more people in use. if we can consider using it to cover data subscription and all other daily needed commodities. When it becomes a solution, people will adopt it without asking questions.
