XMR Stak has a JSON API, please consider adding it as a supported miner.  CryptoNight mining is hot.

So, an API to get your temps, fan speeds, hashrate and so on would be great. Even better if it's compatible with Awesome Miner.

I'm trying to design a dashboard/monitoring solution for my farm.  I absolutely require some way to get hash rates out of the rigs remotely at a minimum, fan speeds and temps would be a bonus.  Claymore has that but it does very poorly with CryptoNight on the Vegas.   My current plan is to fork XMR Stak AMD and add an API (only the CPU version apparently has an API currently).  I am going to see if I can make a Claymore-compatible API so that it would integrate into Awesome Miner.

I typically get 6-13% outdated shares no matter what pool I'm using.   My effective hash rate with XMR Stak seems to be much closer to what it should be, even if the reported hash rate is 5% lower than Cast.  Between that and the lack of an API with Cast I am going with XMR Stak for now.  I will reexamine Cast if and when it has an API for monitoring.

Under "good results" on the web page, I assume outdated shares would count against that right?  With Cast XMR I typically get 10-13% outdated shares but so far I'm getting 100% good shares with XMR Stak.

Tao I run literally hundreds of your motherboards. They are one of the best 'gaming' boards I have found for mining. Only difference I run linux on mine. Windows is dogshit for mining. Driver problems, stability problems, etc with windows that all go away with a good linux install.

I'd like to see you get 2000 H/s on a Vega under Linux, let alone with low power

I have an MSI Z270 A PRO motherboard and it simply won't see a second GPU plugged into any slot and I've checked every BIOS setting possible.  I've never seen anything like that.  It's being returned.

Thats because if you read the manual you will see the the MSI boards share ports.

E.g. if you have an m.2 in the second m.2 slot PCIE3 will stop working. If you have a card in PCIE port 5 port 1 might stop working.

Where does it say that in the manual?

BTW, there is only one M.2 slot.

The board certainly can be made to work.

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Monitoring hash rates through console window scraping? on: November 14, 2017, 07:06:08 PM
So I'm trying to put together a plan for monitoring and alarming for all of my rigs.  I tend to run different mining software depending on profitability so I haven't one found management solution that covers everything.  For example, I'm currently using Cast XMR but it doesn't have an API.

My thought is to put together a screen-scraping application to extract hash rates and then make them available via a JSON API which I can then use remotely from a web server or app.  The app would be configurable so that it could extract the information from any miner app that outputs status information in a console (which is pretty much every miner).  Before I embark on that project is there anything existing that would accomplish that?

Ultimately it could also extract temperatures, fan speeds, and anything else that the miner displays in the console.  I would like to build a web dashboard that displays all of the info for the entire farm.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help Please - Vega 56 Mining Rig Troubleshooting on: November 14, 2017, 07:01:50 PM
FWIW, I replaced an RX 570 with a Vega 56 using the same riser/PCIe slot and Windows simply wouldn't see the Vega, I had to move to a different slot.

The other problem I've always had is whenever I install a new AMD card I have to DDU remove and reinstall the blockchain driver to get everything to work.

I really hope the Fall Creator's Update solves some of these problems since Microsoft has apparently worked on GPU support (it will supposedly support more than 8 of any one architecture).

I would love to get some NiceHash integration into Awesome Miner.  NiceHash provides API calls to get worker information and such.  For that matter, you could probably add generic support for API/JSON calls.

Here's one scenario I'm thinking of specifically:  NiceHash can give me hash rates for my rigs so at least Awesome Miner could display that information plus I could use alerts, etc.  I'm much less concerned about displaying profit information, rig management and alerting are my main focus.

How are you larger miners monitoring Cast remotely?  How do you get alerts for drops in hash rate?

Hi, can you confirm whether any type of bios-mod needs to be done to achieve these values (i.e. close to 2KH/s) on Vega56? I'm reading loads of scary stuff over in the Vega thread... and I was under the impression that BIOS modding wasn't needed to get these figures using Cast XMR?

I get 1956 H/s on my Gigabyte Vega 56.  No BIOS flash to a Vega 64.  Blockchain driver.  No HBCC memory, just use the disable/enable card trick.

The only settings I changed are P3 memory to 975 MHz, power limit to -10%, and freq. to -30%.

Does anyone have problem with hash rate drop after closing Teamviewer session? I have stable 1800h/s per card mining speed with my 8x VEGA 56 mining rig when Teamviewer is on. But if I close Teamviewer and come back after couple of minutes then cards have dropped to 1500h/s. I have HDMI Dummy Plug and I have disabled lock screen from Windows and I'm using blockchain AMD drivers. Also I disable and enable all gpu's before starting XMR-miner.

OC Settings of GPU's (testing phase):
Core: 1200 / 950mv
Memory: 915 / 950mv
Power Limit: -20%

My hash rate drops from 1960 to 16xx after some period of time.  I haven't been able to pinpoint a cause yet.  I run TeamViewer as well but the hash rate drop seems random.

Just curious, what brand of Vega 56 do you have?  Mine is a Gigabyte.  I have MSI and PowerColor coming this week and am going to do a comparison so I can figure out which brand to standardize on, if it makes any difference at all.

An API and integration with Awesome Miner would be... awesome Smiley

At this point it looks like I am going to go with Cast XMR for my entire mining farm but I would love to use Awesome Miner as the manager.

Is anyone else really unsatisfied with the Monero pool on MPH?  Every time I do a test run I get a fraction of what I expect.

Hope Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update will allow 13 Vegas on an H110 motherboard.  That is going to be sweet.

What is going on with Suprnova's ETN pool?  The number of miners and hash rate is jumping around by huge amounts constantly.  Block times are also ridiculous.  The last three blocks had a combined time of over 1500%.  I'm also getting around 12% outdated shares.

I'm bailing.

358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: November 11, 2017, 05:54:07 PM
Nobody can say with definite certainty that if this all was a pre planned scam to loot us. But the way things are turning out and the fork getting cancelled it surely looks like that this all was preordained.

With CERTAINTY its a SCAM, its been researched since August 2017, all the players are scammers, the owners of all the associated websites BTG, BTGCPU, BITCOIN-COIN, are all part of organized ICO-SCAM ring.

The scammers who orchestrate this scam, aren't even writing the code, they're paying 'bounty' of shitcoin to people who write the code as needed, in effect that scammers didn't even have the resources in house to do a BTC CLONE, pathetic when you think how these people are giving professional scammers a bad name.

Fact is nobody would go work for a pump&dump scam operation, not being a real job, thus they just create websites and try to hustle people to work for free.

No way in hell this thing will be operational in 31 hours, right now target is 12NOV@1900UTC

Even if they release so called 'working code' it will take 4 days on average to download the blockchain, as you can't use the bitcoin --datadir=, or copy an existing, you must download and -bootstrap, because this bitch convert existing blockchain from 1mb to 2mb,

In effect even IF there is code it will take days for the POOLS to download and get the blockchain functional, people have been now -testnet mining on POOL.GOLD for 3 weeks, now -testnet mining on btg.suprnova.cc for days, reporting 800K Million sols/sec, which is BULLSHIT, most likely 800k sols/sec, but its all indicative of the fact that NOBODY cares that nothing works.

Solo miners too, once the main-net code is released must download the working block-chain ( convert ) and get it up before they can mine,

I suspect that internally at btcGPU ( bulgaria ) they must have already at the very least have a working block-chain ( its actually easy to enable main-net in the code ), its easy to get the seed-nodes,

But it might be 4-5 days after 12NOV before "REAL MINING" begins, if at all, I doubt code will be released, if its released it will be full of bugs and non-functional, and the team github.com/btcgpu, will fall back into excuse mode and blame DOS for their incompetence, as they have done all along for 2+ months.

We'll know in a few days.

I'm not sure what your point is regarding the blockchain having to be downloaded.  Duh, that's how all this stuff works.

As far as all those scam web sites, the BTG team has pointed those out many times.

If you really believe it's a scam I'll take any BTG you have since you apparently don't want it.  GeHxnrCk4uDYMutpwKXeAJXDKBbr3s8tP9

Man every time I start mining on a pool the first block takes 400% or 600% time.   I need to stop watching the paint dry.
