Concat the two keys seems to me the better option because of space saving.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it. I'm trying to work on encoding Mastercoin data that's larger then just one public key and I'm wondering how we should split data across two keys.

The most space efficient way would be to just concat the two keys as it were and divide them in the middle. (I've added parentheses around the compressed key and sequence for easier readibility)

I.e.
(0201)00000014000000020000000005f5e10000000000000f424060000000000018
(0202)6a00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The last value here being 186a.

What we could also do is only have whole values per key. In that example the data would be divided as follows.

(0201)00000014000000020000000005f5e10000000000000f424060000000000000
(0202)186a000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

I personally prefer the latter version as I think it's cleaner but it does reduce the available space in general.

Thoughts?

    BMX Wallet
    (Blockchain MasterCoin-eXplorer Wallet)

  • Send MasterCoins or Test MSC using your Blockchain.info account (using blockchain send many api, not yet multi-sig. Also converted mastercoin adviser to vb.net so that data address can be created and sent via api.  Library in bitcoin.vb )
  • Show your MasterCoin and Test MSC balance (using Mastercoin-Explorer API)
  • Show your Bitcoin balance (using Blockchain API)
  • Show Transactions (combining Blockchain.info and Mastercoin-Explorer API)
  • Source code  VB.NET

https://github.com/Bitoy88/BMX-2/tree/master

You will need to include json.net in your visual studio project.

(Sorry for the lateness of the submission.  Started only a week ago and finished on oct 14 Smiley

I looked through it and it appears to have been a bug in my own code. So thanks for the bug report Wink

Your transaction should show up now.

I would really urge you to don't implement address encoding at this moment though and continue straight to multisig. We should try not to create unspendable outputs.

Ok that's great Smiley

The transaction was sent using blockchain.info api "send many"
http://blockchain.info/api/blockchain_wallet_api

I think they will eventually support multi sig.   I'll update as soon as I learn more how to send multi sig.

(This is getting very interesting. I'm hooked Smiley

I tried to dive into it but it's late here so I'm a bit foggy. But I think it might be because the sequence number is off. I think it's looking for 69 but 70 is found. Does this make sense?

Thanks Tachikoma,

You are right It is probably due to the sequence. Here are the steps I took

1. generated the data address using mastercoin adviser.
2. sent a test btc transaction. (Might have changed the sequence number of the btc address?)
3.  Sent the mastercoin transaction.

It didn't work.

But I tried again using a different address.
1. Generate the data address
2. Sent the master coin transaction.

And it registered in masterchest

https://masterchest.info/lookupadd.aspx?address=17UbSDAXDzmxRXCgn2w43EaaHzHK3Ncx87

But not in mastercoin explorer.

Note the first transaction that I reported not to work is ok now at masterchest.

Looking  for a .net btc address to base58 module next Smiley

Hi
Trying to make a client to send master coins.

I was able to create 1 transaction with 3 sends
https://blockchain.info/tx/f35f69cf20238274ffa93748637f8c9fa6316683db41cadefab531e65c287313
 1EXoDusjGwvnjZUyKkxZ4UHEf77z6A5S4P

Tried to send 1 test master coin to
17UbSDAXDzmxRXCgn2w43EaaHzHK3Ncx87

The data from mastercoin adviser is
17P8JRqEBMXusNenBLgUeGixNMnJCT9o29

It didn't register in master chest or master coin explorer.

Any tips on why it didnt register is appreciated Smiley

How did you trace the Stash from the BTC Customer payments?
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OFFICIAL LAUNCH: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: October 09, 2013, 01:28:41 PM
You can't connect it to a blockchain wallet directly. You can however export your blockchain wallet keys and put them into a normal bitcoind instance.

Thanks.  Will test masterchest with bitcoind.

(I was hoping to use masterchest with blockchain api in order to create a "lightweight" mastercoin wallet.)

Before you go; it looks like https://github.com/zathras-crypto/masterchest-wallet has no content. At least for me!
Git wasn't synced - should be all sorted now.  Please be careful and test with new wallets Smiley

Can masterchest  be configured to use blockchain wallet?

So...
Your just giving up?

Yes i'm giving up on buying asics this year.  At 30% difficulty every 10 days. It will be very difficult to get back your investments.

Maybe buying bitcoins is better.

Talk to someone else or their supervisor...I had no issues getting refunded after the 45 days.

Ok will try that, thanks  Smiley

When i called paypal the agent said the seller didnt respond but when i checked the dispute details it says

Oct 1, 2013 - PayPal: Email sent to buyer
Sep 29, 2013 - PayPal: Case closed
Sep 29, 2013 - Buyer: Complaint cancelled
Sep 22, 2013 - PayPal: Email sent to seller
Sep 22, 2013 - PayPal: Email sent to buyer
Sep 22, 2013 - Buyer: Complaint Case filed

According to the agent it is over 45 days im not covered by the "Paypal Buyer Protection".  I paid using paypal funds.

They advised me to file at Ic3.gov.

It looks like you may have "by accident" cancelled your own complaint. Sep 29, 2013 - Buyer: Complaint cancelled

You'll have to Call Pay Pal and tell them.

I've called paypal and told them that I didn't cancel the complaint.  Agent replied that I'm correct (that I didn't cancel the complaint).

Paypal cancelled because it was over 45 days dispute limit.   Even if they didn't get a reply from the seller.
(I guess below 45 days paypal is buyer friendly.  After 45 days it is seller friendly.)

Same here done with the asic race.  Maybe next year.  Good luck to all.

Just checked my account. Status refunded. But I charged back on my credit card so it's legit. Check your Pay Pal account or however you paid.

No funds yet on my paypal.  (#683)

I was able to reopen a dispute last week (even if it is over 45 days). But today paypal closed it.

When I called paypal , the dispute was closed because the seller didn't reply. And so they money stays with the terrahash.

If the Seller doesn't reply. You win the dispute. The money should go to you. How did you pay? If CC, it should show up there etc. .

Checked my account at terrahash and it says my order is refunded.

But I haven't received anything.  Anyone received a refund yet?

.05 btc per hour is around 350 Giga hash?
357  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 21, 2013, 02:52:59 PM

Have a look at the Avalon Refund Wallet Address.

Could have nothing to do with TH, but there was a 4 batch refund.

Anyone with a bitcoin address of terrahash (those that paid in bitcoins)?  Maybe it is possible to trace if TH got a refund.
358  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 21, 2013, 09:26:57 AM
Another idea is to verify with Yifu whether TH really did order the chips or not. If not that it is for sure scam...
I have shoot an IM to yifu with the remote chance that he will reply.

I mean why spent btc ordering all that chips if he plan to scam everybody from the get go??

I already pm bitsyncom a couple of days ago regarding the status of order number 10245.  So far no reply yet (not surprising ). Maybe we can post it as a group so that yifu will (have pity)  talk to us.

Steamboats update. Apparently terrahash and steamboat are not working together.

(Congratulations to those who got out early.  Paypal cant recover my fund because it is over 45 days)
