Close. But no Smiley

I have to undervolt and underclock to make it profitable. So it is not worth it.

You sound like my friend.  He's pissed because he actually has to lift a finger and learn something, do research, ect.  He thought it would be a get rich quick scheme like you did.  Grin Grin Grin

i dont think its fine. why not work for a campaign and the tokens that you receive will be you investment, convert it into bitcoin and watch it grow! atleast in this way, you didn't risk anything.

Because I don't like shilling random shit coins for profit.

We are in the middle right now of whether "is mining worth it or not"

Last 2 weeks it was very unprofitable due to the low ETH price.

Right now since ETH is rebounding it's looking better but the difficulty can still hurt us.

So if you got a rig, it's wise to continue but wait and see first if you want to buy more GPUs.

Actually, if u just buy bitcoin at 800 bucks in jan 2017 or 2000-4000 usd in jun to august 2017, u would make 10x or 2-4x profit now. Mining would not have made that much or close to it even with free electricity. Right now, mining difficulty increases too fast. So, good luck to miners. The good news is GPU can be bought again at amazon at lower prices these days.

That's cool.  Let us know when your time machine gets here.

Are you one of those "ETH is the only coin you can mine" guys?

I can say for sure that buying a 1050 and 1050ti this is a very bad investment of your money, 1060 3 GB is not always good, the rest can be use, a lot depends on who made the card

It is better to wait until the new nVidia cards out in the next few months. They will be more efficient.

They will probably be nigh unobtainable for most people.  At least for a while.

Why do you say that?  I'm sure they've been manufacturing them for months.

Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone experienced the following issue on Windows 10.

After the April 10, 2018—KB4093112 (OS Build 16299.371) Windows 10 update, I cannot start any mining on my 3 nVidia 1070 Ti cards.
Everything was working fine before. I have 5 1060 on the same PC and they are not stable as sometimes I experience PC freeze.
I tested different miners that I have on the PC and none work, basically I get a CUDA error which freeze the PC. Fans go to 100%.

I already tried to revert back the updates both Windows and nVidia Driver but nothing is working.

Anyone experienced such issue?

Nothing will work with windows platform.

That's not exactly true.  I've had rigs running just fine on Windows in the past.  My Vega rig has been running on Win10 since December 2017 and has only crashed once.  That's the only rig I still have on Windows though.  As for my Nvidia rigs ... Some worked just fine.  Some crashed, if I didn't reboot them every 12 hours.  Never had hash rate issues though.  They can work fine on Windows, but it's more of a hassle to keep them running stable on Windows than it is on Linux.

My life became 10 times easier when I switched from Win10 to SMOS.

Hellae rocks!  I used this guide when I was setting up my first Vega's last year.

http://vega.miningguides.com/

He references some of what is in Hellae's guides.

$621 for a Vega 56 isn't too horrible considering the recent XMR fork.  I paid $500/gpu for my XFX Vega 56's at the end of November 2017.

In the summer you can mine cryptonight that heats less.

354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 18, 2018, 01:22:35 AM
This is the fear of many people in investing Cryptocurrency.
My advice, you can hold it for a long time until the price Cryptocurrency recovers, if you can sell it now you are at risk of loss.
The decision is in your hands, you must know which you will choose.

Yes, this is the fear of stupid people who invested money that they couldn't or were not willing to ride to zero, if it came to that.  AKA ... The get rich quick guys.  Grin Grin Grin  Now these fools have money tied up that they need, but if they sell, they take a loss.  Fuck em and everybody who looks like em.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 17, 2018, 11:21:07 PM
Some of you people never should have bought crypto to begin with ...  Grin Grin Grin ... Had no idea what you were getting into.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 17, 2018, 10:49:19 PM
Holding and waiting for better price its much better than being panic and do panic sell. Its much better to hold our coin/token for long term because with patience to hold will bring us to profits

I love it when lots of people panic sell all at once.  Means I can buy more coin at a discounted price.   Grin Grin Grin
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 17, 2018, 08:11:06 PM
You better sell at a loss, so you don't get liquidated.  Grin Grin Grin
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 17, 2018, 06:11:59 PM
Stop dicking around and buy more while the price is discounted.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buying GPU.. need suggestions on: April 17, 2018, 06:09:15 PM
is Mining still relevant?)))

It's obviously relevant.  How else do you think a POW network is secured?
