Community building, project progress and promotion, these are what supporters and investors should be concerned about. Not just keep screaming "to the moon"! So many shitcoins' threads are full of this kind of crap, which also results in their failure. What we need is reasonable discussion and analysis.
+1

who is the escrow service provider?

escrow-contracts are made on a case-by-case base.
drop me a message with the amount you d like to invest
and i ll contact an escrow agent to set up an contract for the purchase
and get in touch with you.

bitsta

what's relationship between IncogCoin [ICG] and root coin?

Thanks

which one will be the first coin completed bitkey technology?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=714716.0

i am doing contract-based adaptions for their sourcecode.
well it s still not sure if i ll implement BitKey into their coin or not. I might get back to original
contract specifications which would mean i ll implement them an slave-node system for anon-tx.
that would be an adapted mixing-node "network". but i think i ll stick with my solution which looks
more secure.

anyway, ROOTCOIN will be first coin to have BitKey implemented and longterm support. thats for sure.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS + Proof of Investment on: July 29, 2014, 06:42:35 PM
...the transfer of funds is done off the blockchain? But won't the blockchain record the transaction between addresses, when the recipient spends those coins again? confused...

And what prevents the sender from double spending the coins if they are the ones generating the priv key?

Bump. I am on the edge with investing in the pre-stage; hoping to get some answers about the above before pulling the trigger.

no BitKey transactions will be realized over tcp socket implementation. the sent key will be redeemed to an locally
privkey once it arrives at the destination. there will be no chance of double spending it.

OK that's good news on the 2nd point, but what about the first? Is't it possible that when the recipient later spends the coins that they received anonymously, one could look at the txins for that spend transaction and find a matching amount on the blockchain from the original sender's txout? Trying to get enough info about how your system works to decide how strong this anonymity is going to be...

yes correct. once they are spent it will be kinda possibly traceable like every other anon-tx.
BitKey ensures an anonymous transaction (from A --> B).

#EDIT: i ll add a more detailed version of the whitepaper in the next few days to clarify some points.

What is neoscrypt?

neoscrypts hashing algo has an adapted mixing-engine and it s whitepaper
describes it as more secure and faster. [http://www.feathercoin.com/neo-scrypt-press-release.pdf]

imo negative: users will not be able to rent ASIC-rigs which could possibly reduce the range of users.
i think there are a lot of scrypt-asic owners who would like to join th PoW stage of ROOT.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS + Proof of Investment on: July 29, 2014, 05:04:41 PM
Use NeoScrypt !

I'd love to add a pool for that !

this might really be an option. i ll extend the voting and add neoscrypt to this poll.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] RootCoin [ROOT] - ANON-tx using BitKey™- PoW/PoS + Proof of Investment on: July 29, 2014, 03:58:47 PM
how about X11?

x11 offers attackers simple "vulns".

then scrypt is better. Smiley

as for now we only have scrypt votes. looks like
thats the will of the community. well, we gonna see
what the final result will be.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Salvaging only used addresses and moving them to new wallet.dat? on: July 29, 2014, 03:50:46 PM
this would require a script with the following logic:

pseudocode: (rpc functions existent)
Code:

dyn array accounts[] = listaccounts(); //all accounts
array keys[accounts.length()];  //array for the private keys
dyn array addresses[]; //array for the addresses
//this for-loop just puts every private-key from a public-key which has at least one transaction
//into an array (key[]). this array will be later used to import the keys into the new wallet.
for(i<accounts.length();i++) {

       if( listtransactions(accounts[i]) != empty){
       addresses[i]=getaddressesbyaccount(accounts[i]);
       key[i]=importprivkey(accounts[i]);

       }

}

fstream f;

f.write(file, keys); //now save the private keys on a file

//this for loop will be used on the
fstream.f;
dyn array keys[];

f.read(file, keys[]); //open the saved keys and put them into this

for(i<keys.lenght();i++){

     importprivkey(keys[i]); //import every single key to the new wallet.dat

}

inform yourself about json-rpc and its methods and usage on the
different languages. i recommend the usage of an python or php
file as it s probably the fastest way. java is also simple via http reqs.
hope it s clear now.

cheers,
bitsta

P.S. if you wan to manually do this procedure manually
you can list all accounts and check them all manually.
afterwards just export those keys with associated tx.

Scrypt is dead?
Want to learn LTC?

well scrypt is alive. but you re right. a lot of scrypt-based coins are dead.

as for this coin i think a lot of users from this community own scrypt hardware
and would be happy to use that hardware. And a lot of scrypt mining rentals
are available. so i think as for the pow-distribution its a good decision.

bitsta
