341  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] New Yorker and Economist Bitcoin Magazines on: March 25, 2019, 07:48:12 PM
Looking to sell these two Magazines (preferably as a bundle).
The New Yorker is said to feature one of the first articles written about Bitcoin (2011).
The economist magazine features Bitcoin on its cover and includes an inner article too.
Both magazines are in good nick considering their age but signs of wear are normal and can be found.

Looking to sell both for 0.065BTC
Shipping worldwide for $15.
Will entertain offers for each individual mag.

Thanks Smiley

One concern that always was on my mind for in person physical exchanges is carrying large amounts of Bitcoin on my cellphone wallet.

As it is a hot wallet there is always the possibility of losing the Bitcoin thru Malware or a virus, even though I keep my phone sanitized at all times.

I was thinking of having a second phone just for that purpose but Yogg told me of a better and much safer way.

Basically what it entails is generating a signed Bitcoin transaction using Electrum and Trezor BUT NOT BROADCASTING it on blockchain.

So in other words, I would get the Bitcoin address I would be paying the seller in advance with the amount of BTC I would need to pay.

Then I would forge the signed Bitcoin transaction and NOT BROADCAST it but simply copy and hodl onto it.

Once I meet the person and the goods are given to me I can broadcast the raw Hex code.

You can also forge the signed transaction with your wallet Bitcoin address and once you broadcast and receive the Bitcoin you can then send right away to the seller.

It gives me peace of mind of not having to carry ANY Bitcoin on a Hot Wallet on my cell as I have heard of horror stories of cell phone wallets getting breached.

   https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/21/business/dealbook/phone-hack-bitcoin-virtual-currency.html

That being said I created a step by step procedure on how to do this using Electrum and Trezor.

You can experiment and send it to your BTC address until you have it nailed down and feel comfortable with the process.

I think its one of the coolest ways to send Bitcoin! Thanks Yogg!!

   Cheers!

Have you just considered carrying a Trezor or Nano S with you and using with Mycelium on your phone connected with an OTG cable? The private keys never leave your hardware wallet and you have the convenience of your phone.

True, although having the device on you could make you a target. Best not to have a minimal amount of coins on you to prevent any possible theft/loss or extortion  Cheesy
344  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] NaTTyMiNd 100 VIA (Double Funded) Test Coin #7 Proof W/Select Gold on: March 13, 2019, 12:41:14 PM
You did an amazing job with the design. Looking forward to seeing the final sets.

Agreed and congrats to the 7 winners of these test coins Cheesy

Wonder what the final finish will be?  Huh

Hear hear. I want a full shiny silver coin. Surprised it wasn't included in the initial proof set. Regardless, coin design is beautiful. Looking forward to production release!

346  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS / WTT] Lot of 3 Lealana Silver Coins on: March 11, 2019, 11:19:04 AM
Have these coins been peeled?
I’ve never seen any Lealana coins sold un-assembled. If I recall correctly, all buyer funded coins were sold with holograms and the coins were assembled (firstbits were green and hologram was laser etched with ‘Buyer Funded’).
