Sadly I have no examples but I could do this in php or perl easily assuming you can give me the algorithm to calculate next block ETA from GHash and the scripts to generate the graphs.

How much do you have?
343  Economy / Marketplace / Re: My mining rig - any interest (London, UK) on: June 07, 2011, 10:32:06 PM
What's the PSU?
What's the motherboard?
What temp does the GPU run at?
Can I get a pic?

Securely as in so CCP don't ban us?

Items instead of ISK (preferably PLEX's) in-station trade.
345  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Analysis of Buying a Rig for Mining on: June 07, 2011, 09:26:26 PM
My spreadsheet using 50% difficulty increase every 14 days shows a very positive case for mining now.
346  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Gigabyte 770T-D3L v1.x with 5 GPUs - Yay or Nay? on: June 07, 2011, 09:03:10 PM
Any way to find out? Sad

Linux will give you a slightly better yield I expect, due to lack of needing to draw a gui.
348  Bitcoin / Mining / Gigabyte 770T-D3L v1.x with 5 GPUs - Yay or Nay? on: June 07, 2011, 08:33:43 PM
I've heard so many different things on this, so I'm looking for a bit of a consensus (or hopefully just somebody to explain the answer with why or why not).

The Setup:
AMD Sempron 140
2GB DDR3 RAM
5x XFX 5870 GPU
Big open sided case (or well cooled, not sure on this either)
2x 850W power supply (or one 1400W)

Is there any reason why I can't attach four x1 to x16 cable extenders and get five GPUs in this machine?
349  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What's a fair price for 1.1GHash (sub-letting mining)? on: June 07, 2011, 07:43:14 PM
Because if I sublet, I can buy more rigs meaning after the 3 months I end up with a lot more mining rigs. Tongue

I would say Lindens if you have a Second Life account, or some other form of in game currency that you can buy.

Have another ref, updating prices.

353  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: So 5850s are out of stock where you are, huh? on: June 07, 2011, 02:39:49 AM
Guys, it's not a big deal buying used hardware. So what if it's overclocked? I've bought two used 5850s, both of which are fine.

And what do you mean by "messed around with"?

I don't mind buying overclocked, the problem is a lot of gamers clock their cards beyond where they should and poorly cool them (either open case or bad fans or terribly implemented water cooling). The reason they do this is because they expect a card to last maybe 6-8 months, until they replace it.

For you to take that card, thrashed for 6-8 months, and then thrash it yourself even with proper cooling is just asking for downtime to happen. Let's say you're making about $30 per day off a card right now, even one day of downtime on your card offsets the benefit you made from buying it second hand. Seven days (average XFX warranty turnaround) is $210 lost.

I'd rather just buy new, it's safer and more certain. Obviously, I can't make anyone buy new, but I don't think it's OCD to take the more certain option.

I have a feeling that you're assuming all hardware enthusiasts are idiots.
Go to overclock.net and read the forums. Yes, there are idiots but not as many as you think.

I think you're assuming most gamers are hardware enthusiasts. A lot of them know very little about overclocking, other than that it makes their computer faster.

356  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Software Developer Resume Trove - NO COMMENTS PLEASE on: June 06, 2011, 08:04:29 PM
I'm a Computer Science student at university in Britain. I've got little formal recognition but have done paid work for various agencies and a lot of unpaid work on open source projects. I'm a native English speaker with a flair for in-depth mathematical calculations, complex problem solving and logical thought.

I know HTML5, PHP, Perl, CSS3, jQuery/AJAX, MySQL, Oracle. I'm working on Python right now, but I wouldn't say that I'm proficient in it just yet. I also plan to learn to write software for mobile devices, using the Java Mobile Environment and possibly Objective-C.

I have 10 years' experience in Linux, Mac OS X, BSD and Windows. I have an eye for security and use robust code which should work on as many platforms as possible (I'm one of those 'This website needs to be usable down to IE6' types) and have experience in developing solutions for many operating environments.

I'm interested in:
- Primarily small to medium jobs right now, as I've got no experience of larger jobs.
357  Economy / Marketplace / What's a fair price for 1.1GHash (sub-letting mining)? on: June 06, 2011, 06:47:58 PM
Hi all,

I'm looking at setting up some rigs and sub-letting mining.

They'd be putting out 1.1GH/sec each, running Arch with three 5870s. I'd be willing to just point them straight at the buyer's choice of pool.

What would be a fair price to rent out a rig for 3 months for? (1.1GHash/sec for 3 months)

I know that Vladimir offers a 4 month service for £1600 for 1GH/sec (I know Vladimir is far more well known than I am around here) but I was wondering if anyone else is offering the service and what price ranges are considered reasonable.

I have 10 years experience with Linux, lots of experience with computer building and I'd be holding replacement components so if anything goes, the machines would be right back online in (at worst) hours. I'd offer 89 day uptime guarantee in 90, with any more lost days replaced by two days at the end of the contract gratis.

So, looking for feedback of any kind, and what would be required to make this a hit.
358  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: So 5850s are out of stock where you are, huh? on: June 06, 2011, 02:59:31 PM
I'm always worried with used hardware, because I always assume buying a gamer card used means it's probably been thrashed, overclocked and messed about with.

Warranty is great if all you care about is ensuring the long term future of the card, but I'd rather spend the extra $50 than have the week of downtime on a card right now.
359  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: So 5850s are out of stock where you are, huh? on: June 06, 2011, 12:40:56 PM
Yeah I can't really compete with used 5850s lol.
360  Other / Obsolete (selling) / [Avail: >10B] Eve Online ISK / PLEX - ~1.85 BTC per BILLION on: June 06, 2011, 12:20:07 PM
Current Stock: 11,193,746,905 ISK

These rates are correct assuming a $20.00 = 1 BTC exchange rate. Actual price will be calculated based on the Mt. Gox exchange rate at the time of trading.

ISK:
500 million - 1.0 BTC
~500 million ISK per BTC (rounded)
1 billion - 1.95 BTC
~513 million ISK per BTC (rounded)
10 billion - 18.5 BTC
~541 million ISK per BTC (rounded)

PLEX:
PLEX = 0.86 BTC
~461 million ISK per BTC, assuming PLEX = 396 million ISK

Why Buy From Me:
- I'm here 15 hours a day and can deliver ISK or items worth the ISK to any station in high sec within half an hour of your purchase. I don't have liquidity issues. The amount of ISK at the top of the thread is just under the size of my current wallet.
- I will deliver to you in station in items or ISK so as to avoid the contract system which so often leads to bans (high-sec station only).
- I have previous reputation on the forums and the otc IRC, which means you can trade safely.
