I eventually found the time to setup my first Bitcoin node. Hopefully I have the ability to host it in the Greek backbone network, at the Greek Internet Exchange (I don't know how long I'll be able to host it there though). I have a powerful machine as well, with 4 cores and 8 GB of RAM, and it can deliver up to 1 gbps in Greece and up to 100 mpbs overseas. What I'm asking is how will I be able to optimize it. Considering its location and how powerful the server is, what can I do to have the maximum connections, etc? Feel free to connect by the way: IPv4: 83.212.119.206 IPv6: 2001:648:2ffc:1225:a800:bff:fe20:637f

It's the rule that theymos set to newbies, and unfortunately it also affects the reports as well. As your rank is upgraded, the waiting time will be reduced dramatically(but you will still have to wait some time). Imagine that staff members too have to wait 4 seconds to re-post or report again

What happened again?
I want to know too, bitcointalk gave me an error saying "SMF cannot connect, try again later" The forum is just recently back up. Theymos warned that the forum will be periodically down as everything is reconfigured. So no worries

This topic has been moved to Trashcan. You are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Yeah, that's all I can think of. I'm guessing you got it from a staff section thread, so this is probably accurate.

anyway why in the world would any Moderators spam your email adress , it dosen't make sense . beside probably the email adresses are visible to mods on our profile so .. yep
No, if you set your email to be hidden not even staff members can see your email (except from admins of course)
|
|
|
I see...that makes sense, then. So reports in sections without local board moderators still keep your email hidden.
Alright, thanks for the info.
Yes, as none would receive an email. Although I don't know if the global moderators can see your email, but I doubt it.
