343  Other / Beginners & Help / To hodl is not to neglect on: May 01, 2019, 09:56:06 PM
For the benefit of newbies that are not yet oriented with some cryptocurrency terms hodl means hold. Make reference to this for more terms https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=126798.0

Back to the topic..
In cryptocurrency it's quite often you hear people advising each other to hold coins in there possession and that's because the coins has good potentials to do well with time. Well this is not completely a bad advice but rather an incomplete advice The cryptocurrency market is volatile and prone to changes at anytime.
Why is it necessary to follow up your holding a coin with observing the market
*Like I said the market is volatile and prone to changes so when holding a coin with out observing the market you a putting your self in a blind spot to the market
*to determine your next move most investors has kept dead Shit coins that are unrecoverable and in the same vain has missed potential coins that are doing well. Observing the market helps you get a good position to decide your market moves.
*maximising profits and minimizing loss. Profit and loss are the two possible outcome for an investor and if calculation are correct with a bit of good luck an investor can maximize profit and minimize loss but if the calculations are incorrect the reverse is the case and a good knowledge and observation helps in making the right calculations.

The necessity of observing the market can not be overemphasized. Holding a coin is good but holding a coin without neglecting it is imperative
344  Other / Politics & Society / Over dependency on the government in African community on: April 28, 2019, 12:00:00 PM
There African community can be regarded as a developing one but truth be told so many of that community development growth is a creeping one.

  African governmental system
The world might have not fathom correctly how corrupt politicians in Africans are but permit me to let you know that if the asset of a governor from where am from is correctly calculated (including funds looted) they would have there positions on Forbes list.  The system is inhumanly corrupt and the adverse effects are felt by it citizens.
The educational system is nothing to be proud of and even after scaling that hurdle the search for employment is endless due to low availability of jobs.
The poverty rate keeps increasing, health care system is dilapidated.

How can you as a citizen survive
Being from this parts or region is not an excuse to be poor or having a bad government an excuse to be jobless.
Placing a complete dependency on a government that doesn't have you at heart is a big mistake.

Engage yourself as a human you are blessed with a healthy mind and brains and if put to judicious use could yield results. Greed is one factor that should be avoided this is one of the reasons young one from my region goes into fraud and gives the nation a bad name.

Start small.  It's could be in the agricultural sector. Fishery, poultry, livestock or farming(african has fertile soil)

Attend business functions and lectures. Many undervalue this but I learnt about cryptocurrency through a function and as the say information is power make good use of those information and you cab set yourself up. Rather than fraudulent trying to extort funds from foreigner try to build a mutual relationship where you can gain knowledge and idea.

Be studious. We learn everyday keep researching finding out what's needed in your locality that is of low supply put your mind into use it could be something of low capital to start up but can yield good returns.

Although bad government system can affect anyone but when you don't over depend on them or blame people for your failure only then can you take responsibility and lead a good life for yourself and your society

345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] Bitcointalk forum etiquette on: April 28, 2019, 05:50:04 AM
Messy thread can cause an eye saw to its readers and even if you where passing a useful information it still makes few members go through it
  avoid misuse of quotation
Some members are found of creating a post with quote pyramid just to make needless comment beneath it
346  Other / Meta / Re: Are users abusing the merit source application on: April 27, 2019, 02:26:09 PM
I must say I am very much clarified about that issue. It's just that there where more merit sources applications without any feed back as to if the got the position or not recently.
To make a note I do not have any issue with merit source the reverse is the case I support that system.
347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: “risk-free”, “absolutely safe” and “guaranteed profit”, Latest scam!! on: April 27, 2019, 10:43:48 AM
My own advice is never trust everything you see or read try to go through every aspect of it.
Newbie a the most likely to fall victims to scammers because most come in thinking the can become a millionaire in a very short time then greed tends to lead there every move
348  Other / Meta / Are users abusing the merit source application on: April 27, 2019, 07:44:27 AM
The usefulness of merit sources can not be overemphasized it has really helped in the effective and efficient distribution of smerit in the forum and has enabled users rank up according to the quality of there post.
I stand to be corrected there are over 100 merit sources in the forum and has been very diligent in the approach of there duties.
No back to my topic merit source application. I have noticed when ever a member has attained a senior member rank there are a possibilities he/she might go ahead and apply for merit sources regardless if the forum needs any more merit sources at the moment.
Could this be right?
Most merit source application then to get merited. Could this be a scheme to get merit?  I know some of the merit sources where directly contacted by the forum about being a source.
If the forum when ever a space is available for merit sources contact user they feel is right and if they are interested put up there application for consideration.
It's appreciated if one wants to selflessly work for the forum.
349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Difference Between Coins and Tokens on: April 27, 2019, 04:38:38 AM
This is very interesting, I didn't know and think there was some kind of differences between coins and tokens. I always thought tokens are just crypto coins backing crypto products or projects. Then you must really be a newbie that's needs to do much research. I actually thought that this post was too basis and everybody here should have know that coin and token are two different things in cryptocurrency.
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best thing about crypto - many opportunities on: April 26, 2019, 08:30:53 PM
The best thing about cryptocurrency is to me the fact that it is decentralized and also any money made from those ways are small or average.
Try and not make onlookers feel that this is a get rich scheme

354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to refund on: April 26, 2019, 07:29:33 AM
You would have made a post or asked a question here on the forum about that deal before paying now the milk is spilt.
When will people stop doing deal with am anonymous person that you don't have any link or know there reputation. Probably they told you bitcoin company can refund you if it goes wrong and that gave you a sense if security. Well bitcoin is not a company rather it's a medium of transfer and as it stands you can't get refunded only if the scam sends it back but the good thing is that you can monitor the bitcoin account you sent it to and trace the final point of withdrawal
355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Reminder]: Specially for newbies BCH is not BTC on: April 26, 2019, 06:34:24 AM
Every newbie should learn how to read and ask questions and be more active in other sections especially the bitcoin discussion and this would not be a problem to them.
Avoid unnecessary chat on social media such as telegram there are huge scammers there especially on the ico, exchange or bounty group most of the newbie join.

I have really been a big admire of the distribution summary including those posted on meta and it has really simplified the very complicated smerit distributions
358  Other / Meta / Re: Don't show users' signatures? YES on: April 25, 2019, 06:59:46 PM
This option would serve as a great help when working for a signature campaign and there is probably a dispute about it authentication or there has been some rumours of scam you can choose the don't show users signature probably until the issue is resolved
359  Other / Off-topic / Re: Some words about merit system on: April 25, 2019, 09:41:56 AM
I must be honest when I signed up for this forum merit was the least thing in my mind. I was just hear to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency and as things goes and to show the merit system is transparent and effective I got some merit on my first post
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5071197.msg48003780#msg48003780
Well I must say I was very happy and encouraged to improve more and more and as we could have it am a member and heading for a full member rank

My word about merit is simple have a good post history and even if it's a post that has taken a while you could still get merited for it. Delete any redundant and unhelpful post that can make your post history poor
360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit giveaway to Full members and Below on: April 24, 2019, 09:38:32 PM

I also don't feel it's against the rule and you need not to worry if there is an issue with it the moderators can move it to other board such as off-topic

Well to partake I have made some helpful post myself
